“Place was extremely busy on Saturday night so there was a little bit of a wait to get seated. However everything else was absolutely amazing. The live musician set a really cool ambiance. And the food was fantastic. We started with the stuffed mushrooms which were probably the best appetizer I’ve had anywhere in a long time. I got the shrimp and grits as my main. I had never had that dish before and I was very pleasantly surprised. My girlfriend got the shrimp fry and was pleased as well. Portions were nice and big and the drinks were good too. 10/10 would recommend.”

I have no problem with you adding gratuity. The problem I have is that you didn’t tell us. Yes, I know it’s on your website but not everyone reads everything on the website and I think it is proper for you to inform us. The chef we had was very good quite funny! Our server was wonderful, but a little busy and we had to ask for refills and rice for my husband. So overall a good experience, the food was delicious. The bathrooms could have use some attention but overall I’m not dissatisfied. I just think it is your place to let people know about an 18% automatic gratuity. “I don’t ever leave reviews on Google, but I almost cried because this was some of the best food I’ve ever had. We are vegan and the options were phenomenal. All super fresh. Not mushy like some places. Crunchy freshly cooked veggies (but not raw) and immense flavors. The staff was super helpful and attentive. This is my new comfort food. We got the aloo baingan, bhindi masala, and aloo flatbread. The server also suggested some naturally vegan starters for next time and I can’t wait to try them. We will absolutely be back over and over.”

The service was excellent, tables and restaurant very tidy and clean, although if seated in the banquet room one thing has not changed in a decade, the smell that creeps out for the women's bathroom. Pretty sure they have a venting problem that has never been resolved. The prices are a little steep but the service definitely makes up for that. Only complaint I have about my western omelette is the bell peppers were cut a little big, but still tasty.”

“Way too pricey but the quality was good, the service was pretty good but I have a bunch of kids and they were hyper as hell (because we barely ever go out to eat because we're not selfish a-holes who don't mind ruining people's expensive dates or meals period) anyway my kids calmed down after I explained to them that they were being rude little monsters and our poor waiter who barely spoke English had no idea that I'm not a big tipper or a guilt tipper is 9 percent with me for the most part unless they just completely ruin my meal or wow me in some meaningful way. With that information in mind my kids proceeded to ask for forgiveness in their best Spanish with accents and rolled r's ( I'm raising my kids right) and hey didn't even acknowledge them, I said he probably didn't hear you try one more time when he comes back with our waters and the one large soda we all shared ? and still he ignored them,? what the H?!?!? The dining area itself can become messy because of straw papers or light trash but the tables are always kept really clean and I love the flowers on every table. Overall, I would come to this fast food restaurant over any in Tacoma.”

“I've stopped by this Cafe Elite a few times. This coffee stand is a franchise/chain, so normally you're getting a consistent experience across the board. I love that they start their eggnog lattes early in the season! They also just happen to have the best ones around, in my opinion. The baristas are also always really nice and get your drinks made quickly + correctly. The location of this one is nice, as it's an easy stop off of Meridian -- it's also in the same parking lot as the South Hill Goodwill, for all my thrifting girlies!! Grabbing an iced coffee and then going to find Goodwill treasures?! Say lesss.”

“Miss all the donuts shops that lined almost every neighborhood in SoCal. Seeing and eating at this place brings me home. It's next to the KFC and has a decent amount of parking. I felt very safe coming here midday and the store was clean and nice (I mention this because I went to another donut shop in Tacoma before which was very good too but kinda sketch or what one might say has "character" lol). Greeted immediately upon entry by cheery nice workers. I got a raised, cake, and old fashioned donut to try the selection of donut styles, plus a ham and cheese croissant. The sugar raised and cake donut tasted not too sweet (a positive in my book) and seemed fresh, meaning a little crispy on the outside, but moist and fluffy or creamy on the inside). However, the winner today was the old fashioned (my husband ate it all before I could take a photo). The old fashioned was very good, even with no icing it was delectable - perfectly crispy on the outside and creamy and flavorful on the inside. Outside the donut world, the ham and cheese croissant hit a home run. A good amount of ham, a little cheese, and a very nicely flaky, buttery but not too moist croissant outer. Prices are pretty good. Just under $5 for the savory croissant and a little over $1 for the donuts. I really want to come back to try their cinnamon rolls, scones, and boba, which all are decently priced too. Other notes: they take credit card, there are a few seats along the glass wall, and you can call in your order for pickup.”

However, I prefer dining inside or getting my food to go from the inside desk, because they are friendlier, and more attentive on the insidebecause their position allows it.
