“The Tap Room is a warm, welcoming pub in the heart of beautiful downtown Steilacoom. It features microbrews and an atmosphere that is conducive to small group gatherings like a book club meeting, Scrabble night with friends, potlucks with your neighbors, etc. Nona is very accommodating and occasionally opens her lovely pub for private parties. It's a small space (maximum of 50) but then "Great things come in small packages!"“

“We had a wonderful meal last night. Not a big place (cozy feel) and we had to wait 30 minutes for a table. Our server was wonderful and when we said we were sharing everything she actually plated all our dishes separately which was so nice. We sampled the ciders and had drink specials. We had the beet salad, cup of crab bisque and mushroom burger. Everything was delicious! I would definitely recommend and we will be going back. The new wine bar next door looks fantastic and we will be trying it out next.“

I have rarely (maybe one other time) thought to myself after having breakfast at a restaurant "wow that was amazing, I couldn't have done it better" but I make some pretty amazing breakfasts. THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!!! There was a huge line when we got there but it was so worth the wait. We had the blueberry pancakes which come with 2 eggs and bacon and the chicken fried steak which comes with your choice of sausage or chorizo gravy, 2 eggs, hashbrowns and toast. The food was so good we could stop eating and the waitress and host were so so nice. “This is one of my favorite places to go in Tacoma. The food is awesome, the music is cool, the atmosphere reminds me of my younger years of frequenting goth clubs, and they have pinball and skee ball, and a couch to sit on. If I had to say anything negative, it's that parking can be challenging, but that's just 56th street in Tacoma and nothing the Church Cantina can help. Great place to be on a Saturday night.“

“Since I’ve been to this dive bar several times over the last few months, it has easily been one of my favorite bars in Tacoma. The atmosphere has been cozy and usually allows conversations to flow with the person next to you without having to shout at each other to hear. I’ve never been disappointed with the food and drinks either, the new menu face-lift has more options than before, with the fried cheese curds, the Korean pork belly tacos, and the hot honey lemon pepper wings being my personal favorites. The staff and the owners are talented and genuine people, with Drew and Cody working wonders behind the bar while Deven is usually cooking up something great. Every once in a while, there’s live music or karaoke which have been fun to attend to. When the weather is nice, the outside patio situation has been great to mingle but on rainy days we like to hangout and play pool. Each was amazing and it was a tough choice of which to choose for a glass. New World was the flight my wife enjoyed. Next I had a glass of the Blesoe. Two of our friend couples came so we became six. “When my friend and I are in the mood to go out dancing we head to Dawson's. I find a lot of Joy in dancing and don't mind dancing all night by myself. We especially like to go when the T-Birds are playing. The last time we went my dentist Dr. Hickey was filling in for them. Next time I go, I will probably be when he is playing with his band. “my husband and I will go there about few times a year. this was my father in laws favorite place to eat every Wednesday with his brother for many yrs. Yesterday(July 21st) we ate there at approximately 7pm. very nice waiter we had. my husband ordered a Chicken Fried Steak breakfast. he indicated that that meat was very tough and rubbery. “Tell Elaine has become an institution in the Tacoma area. So much so that I can remember going there as a Cub Scout and bowling with my friends. That was more than a minute ago Tory Lanez offers great bowling facility. Also host a very large golf warehouse where you could spend a little bit of time with you and the family. “One of my Top 5 places to eat in Tacoma. Really good BBQ food, CenTex-style (with sauces on the side for those who want them). I've had over half the menu and loved everything, but the Opal Burger with egg is my fav. Solid taplist, incredible whisky selection. He opened the second restaurant in Gig Harbor, which is the one my parents introduced me to, and that I have dined at over the years. The other two locations are Tukwila and Silverdale. The restaurants are now jointly owned by Arturo, his son Bernie Garcia, and Bernie’s mother and sister, Magdalena Garcia and Maribel Arias. Bernie Garcia took over as president in 2005. This business has won a number of awards over the years. Moctezuma’s is a favorite for both locals and visitors.My parents retired to Fox Island, Washington, in 1990. Fox Island is next to Gig Harbor. Montezuma’s was one of my mother‘s favorite restaurants. I visited with her many times over the years. Now that she’s gone, I don’t go as often, but only because I’m busy exploring new restaurants. The current Gig Harbor restaurant is in a different location than the original. It’s also much bigger and much nicer.These are pictures from my last visit. I’m always warmly greeted. I love their complementary basket of fresh chips and salsa. The salsa is some of the best I’ve ever had. I ordered a Combination plate with a Cheese Enchilada, Chile Rellano and Taco Dorado. Served steaming hot, I loved everything, except for the Chile Relleno, which is a house specialty. For dessert, I ordered Flan. I prefer flan with a more delicate texture, but it was exactly like the one served at the original location, so I assume it’s a family recipe. It’s pretty good. All in all, I had a very enjoyable meal.“
