“Plae Bistro was great! So, to start… we had made reservations, but ended up coming into town earlier because our initial plans didn’t pan out. We showed up and told them that we had a reservation at 4 PM but wanted to come earlier because we were hungry. They canceled our reservation and were able to get us in right away. We were also in between the lunch and dinner menu time… But they gave us the option to order from either. The food was amazing and service was EXCELLENT! Our waitress was super friendly and accommodating. I had the Chilean sea bass with the risotto and seasonal veggie (green beans) and all was perfection! Hubby had the ribeye with the risotto and the green beans as well. The ribeye wasn’t the best we’ve had, but it was still very good! A big highlight was the dinner rolls they brought out beforehand with the three dipping options…There was an oil with some chili flakes I think, a butter (I think… We were trying to figure out if it was a butter or a cheese) and then what we also assume was chopped up olives…. Was hard to tell, and I was bracing myself for either chocolate or something savory. Lol. So I guess the only thing would be that I wish they would have told us what the dipping options were for the rolls. But overall a great experience! We will be back!”

The front house manager, Aaron (sorry if I spelled that wrong) came and asked how everything was and made sure we were enjoying ourselves. The papas locos are a family favorite. If you don't know what a papusa is, it's like a handmade thick tortilla stuffed with cheese and fillings and cooked in a frying pan. Give it a try you will not regret”

If you go in and ask questions, the employees explain that there is no store phone because people call and harass constantly when they did. Next is at night they don't have meatballs some nights because so many people come in and crowd lobby. It's the ONLY 24 hour subway so people have some leniency. The 3rd shift is exhausted. I've come in before and 1 person is doing the work of 2 or 3. But customers come first so alot of the time we can't expect 1 guy to make all the food, serve everyone and make everything they need to in the back. They aren't superman. I've walked in with a full lobby before and there was 1 man making easily 8 9 sandwiches at once. He was trying his best but he was alone and we need to understand that. It's not the employees fault for the little amount of help they have.”

I've tried every maker of them out of Racine. I noted coming across Mike's Bake Shoppe on the internet and found it hard to believe they would potentially be the best or even different from others in Wisconsin. Well let me begin by saying that after receiving my first Kringle order of a Cherry and a Blueberry Cream Cheese Kringle my assessment is as follows. * Texture. Simply in another league. O&H and Larson's can't even come close. It's denser and more flavorful. Most importantly as well is that Mike's uses BUTTER not the sick and annoying margarine which is a molecule away from being plastic. Sad that this day and age ANY credible baker would use such poison. So the flavor and texture is another league * Filling. The cherrys were from Seacrest Farms in Door County famous for their cherries. And indeed you get entire cherries, not the tiny chopped up bits and pieces you'd get from O&H and others. The flavor is simply outstanding and the real deal, not chemically made up like the others and there's a LOT of it no skimping here. * Frosting. Mike's frosting is most obviously handmade NOT out of some container like the others. It adds that sweet character which is not overwhelming. A perfect mix and once again genuine not fake like the others. * Helping or Physical Size. It was immediately obvious that the physical helping or size of the Kringle was perhaps at least 30% larger then all other competition. So the value for it's price is undeniably superior. In the end Mike's deserves the term as the FINEST Kringle available anywhere. I don't see anyone coming close let alone using the best ingredients without seed oils and crappy margarine and such. From now on it's MIke's or nothing for me.”

“Good place to start off a night of bar-hopping! Grab some food and a couple of drinks, play a game of pool, and then move onto other bars.

The service is not consistent. I remember going here for the first time and it was packed. There wasn't any signage, but there was a guy at the table by the door and I asked if there are any free tables. He just looked at me and then looked toward the tables, then looked back at me with no response. At this point, I had no clue you just had to walk in and look for a free table yourself, so I was confused. I stood there for a few minutes while he just stared at me until I saw some girls come in and walk to the full area without talking to the guy, so I followed suit and circled the area a couple times before a table freed up. After that, I had to wait almost 30 minutes for someone to even introduce themselves and get drinks. I would understand if there was a wait since it was so busy, but almost half an hour is unacceptable. The rest of the time, I barely got checked on or refilled, so I just told the guy I want the bill instead of having another round.

The food is your standard sports bar food–tastes good in the moment, but definitely would be subpar if the vibes weren't there. Drinks aren't strong at all, which is why I said it's a good bar to start off on before moving to others. Oh, and there needs to be physical menus again. This QR code stuff is inconvenient and I personally hate having to squint and press 100 different drop-down menus for each category.”

“I always shop this store but am very disappointed lately. The hot food area is only open from 11:00 Am till 2:00 Pm it used to open till at least 5:00 PM. Anyone who works out cannot go there after work to get supper. And some days the food is dried out and old it is not taken care of. The east side used to be open later, but they have been down for over 3 weeks. Besides the hot food area, the store is a great place to shop. We have talked about going to Festival Foods and try their hot food area.”

“Came in last night for the first time and it won't be the last. it was such a neat experience with lots of different options. There were many things I would have never thought to try, but I did and I was not disappointed. Only "down falls" were the drink menu wasn't more exciting and the scallops were small. Not deal breakers, just wanted to note.”

“Came in Saturday before the Luke Combs concert for the cool atmosphere of the rooftop patio but it was honestly hard not to notice how uncomfortable the staff looked in the heat. On such a hot rooftop, requiring employees to wear long sleeves and long pants seems really unreasonable. The staff were still doing their best, but you could tell the heat was affecting them and making their jobs harder than necessary. They did amazing keeping up with the busy environment given the circumstances, but what a major lack of empathy for employees if that’s their uniform all summer.”

The environment of an upscale Hollywood dinner destination instantly floods your imagination with the high backed fabric booths and intricate chandeliers. The service matches that energy and does not fail to impress. We dined on starters of crab cakes and a delicious relish tray, and I consumed by far the best French onion soup I have ever had. We followed that with the signature entrees of the sirloin and rib eye and the coordinating sides, as well as the truffle fries, all of which were simply outstanding. Care in sourcing, quality and reputation shine bright in this establishment. Dessert consisted of a new ice cream drink for my guest, and I delighted in the fresh berry creme brulee. It was an incredible experience from start to finish.”

The food- now let me express, this is NOT your basic Mexican restaurant, but a twist on everything amazing! We started with the nachos, delicious! But my entree was by far the best chimi I had ever eaten!
I had the Korean beef chimi. The flavor-top notch! A twist of both cultures elevated to a new level of deliciousness! My mom ordered the shrimp chimi, which I got one bite (that’s all she’d give up!) it was citrusy and just a perfect balance of flavor!
Oh, and the drinks were great too! Blueberry lavender margaritas!!!
We will be back! Over and over I promise!

“Absolutely amazing carne asada tacos. I was literally FLOORED how good they were, better than many I've had at full scale restaurants. Perfectly seasoned, pipping hot, and each taco was super loaded, zero skimping here. An absolute 10/10, you will not regret stopping here. Only thing left to be desired is I wish their salsa Verde was a little more spicy, but such a minor thing when their tacos are some of the best I've ever had.”

The employees are PHENOMENAL, so kind and so welcoming--I've truly never been to a Starbucks like this one. Whoever is in charge--you've chosen the right people to employ.
