“The name Pizza N Curry is a great establishment despite its confusing name. From the street view it looks like it might be a fusion, half Italian, half Indian takeout spot. But this is actually a proper Indian restaurant as thankfully I did not see any Italian pizzas on their menu. But they do have tandoori and Chicken Tikka pizzas that we almost ordered.This brings me to the food. It is simply 5-7x better than Cafe India, top to bottom. I immediately knew the food was going to be great when it was delivered in copper bowls with julienned ginger floating on the top.The mutton karahi and chicken achari is basically south asian soul food and will hopefully power us through the rest of this snowy month. Even my 8 year old's chicken strips were of high quality as you could tell it was strips of dark meat breaded in house and excellenly seasoned. Shorewood you are very lucky that these guys care.Also, a heads up. You will pay for this quality.“

“I went to this restaurant for the first time last week Friday with my feincee & her two daughters. Their MOD crust is a thin crust & their double thick crust is a normal crust. We ordered two 11 inch pizzas & kinda wish it was 12-14 inch. But it was great tasting & loved that we could customize our pizza at night additional cost. I call it the Subway of pizza places! I will be taking my younger kids to this place & have them get the mini pizzas. That way each one can get what they want.“

“The staff when ordering take out are so helpful. I usually order online and when I get there, the staff is extremely efficient and always greets me cheerfully. My order is always ready at the time needed. The take out staff always checks to make sure my order is correct, which I appreciate. Food is always tasty and I will keep coming back! “Great spot for date night! We made a reservation and were seated right away. Our server was very nice and checked in frequently. Food came out faster than expected. The chicken piccata meatballs were delicious. The portion sizes for our main dishes were very generous, so we had left overs. Both dishes were great! “If I had to sum up my experience at Filippos in 1 sentence it would be "bang for your buck casual Italian dining with high quality service" We chose Filippos as our valentine day celebration meal. My aunt had trouble calling ahead for reservations but when I called they answered straight away and were very accommodating. The restaurant was a little less than half full on this Wednesday/Valentines day. They were a great restaurant to take a little toddler too, they had so much fun with our two year old and did not seem bothered whatsoever, a true family friendly restaurant. Everyone enjoyed our four course meal. We started out with bread, they brought plenty, some garlic and some plain. Next course was a minestrone that was quite tasty. Everyone's meals came with salad next which was a basic house salad with iceberg lettuce. Next came our huge portion dinners. Not one of us had anything to complain about. The food was so tasty. I ordered the chicken Alfredo but tried the primavera and was obsessed, will definitely be ordering that on my next visit. The chicken cordon bleu is coated with mushrooms so beware it's not just on the side. We ended our night with a cannoli and tiramisu, the perfect ending to a great meal. Our server was so patient with us as we were cackling while ordering. She was very attentive and the food was speedy. Filippos gives the vibes of a family owned no frills business that I'm drawn to. A new west allis staple for me We all left so full and everyone had leftovers.“

“My dog and I love going to Nomad coffee bar. He loves his pup cups. I cannot give 5 stars only because the one item I order is always “out”. I try to call ahead every time but no one answers the phone. Not ever. I’ve called probably 10 times in the past 2 months. I dislike that my dog and I have to walk all the way there just for them to tell me I can’t order the only thing I want. My dog doesn’t care cuz he still gets a pup cup because he will scream like an infant if he doesn’t get one. His eyes light up anytime we’re near nomad. Service is great regardless.“

“I always see this spot posted all over Reddit so I thought it was time to check it out. It's a nice walk from the Third Ward and also right on the Green Line. Parking can get tight but there is a paid lot nearby. The place was pretty busy which caused slower service, but staff remained attentive. The bar and dining room both had plenty of seating. This would be a great spot for large groups! I ordered a glass of wine and the Eggplant Parmesan sandwich with a side caeser. I was disappointed in the wine list, especially for an Italian restaurant. The glass of wine I ordered was pretty stale which makes me think they might not sell a lot of wine. Again, odd for an Italian restaurant. The sandwich was excellent. It had perfectly crisp eggplant with a flavorful marinara and plenty of cheese. I like that they serve giardinera to add some extra crunch and spice to the sandwich. I would love to return for the pizza that I read so much about! The food was amazing!“

“Somehow I haven't been inside the original Zaffiro's in years. I love being able to get it at the movies, but I've been annoyed that I'm not in their delivery zone. Nothing has changed in the interior - possibly ever. This is a straight up old school Wisconsin tavern with a small dining room on the side. Service was very friendly. The place was packed with people waiting in line to be seated or to pick up to go orders. The pizza was predictably great - slightly charred cracker crust, plenty of toppings, good sauce proportion. We had three different types at the table and everyone was happy. Why four stars? Getting the food on our table took a really, really long time. Still a classic though.“

I had the gnocchi and meatballs which was delicious, my wife had the margarita pizza which was also tasty. We had: -carpaccio (best I've ever had...meat was so tender and beautifully balanced with capers, cheese, and arugula) -Agnello pasta: Lamb meatballs, Calabrian chilies, tomato cream sauce, penne, goat cheese -Pan seared salmon, snap pea risotto, melted leeks, cherry tomatoes, brown butter, thyme -tiramisu....OMG. The sticks are just amazing. They are LOADED with pepperoni. Little ones, but LOADED. They come with marinara for dipping but no need for it. The flavor is so good that I found the marinara actually detracted from the wonderful flavors already included. The wings a really meaty. No baby chickens used for these. The sauce has a little kick, but not too much. I like bleu cheese as a dipper with BBQ wings, but they only have ranch. Hang on. They have several different types of ranch - even have a flight so you can try multiples. I opted for the peppercorn and it was just a fabulous combination with the bourbon BBQ wing sauce. I only ate half of each item and brought the rest home, along with dessert: BB Cakes Brownie with a scoop of Mint Chip. Very rich. Had a few bites before bed.Can't wait to do this again for dinner tonight!Vegetarian options: They have several vegetarian options available.Parking: At 5:45pm I got the space directly out front. Our last person to arrive at 6:05pm was parked directly across the street.Kid-friendliness: I think this would be a great place for introducing kids to a more gourmet style pizza with a build your own option to include those ingredients they prefer.Wheelchair accessibility: I did not see wheelchair access as the main entrance is a set of stairs. It is located in an older build that has been remodeled for the restaurant. Now that doesn't mean they don't have another entrance that I just wasn't paying attention to. A simple phone call should answer that question for you.“

“Steny’s is a go-to for sports, their trivia is so fun, and I cannot think of a time I’ve been and it’s not been great. Bartenders and servers are super friendly, you do have to keep in mind that when it’s absolutely packed, there will be some small delays!Vegetarian options: They have a vegan chicken that’s really great to add and are so helpful making something vegan for me. “Whenever a restaurant comes under new ownership, there is always a question of what will happen with the recipes that made it noteworthy. Lucky for us, the new owners (Hannah and Dean) kept what worked and added their own amazing additions, backed by their own developing culinary backgrounds and experiences. For example, along with the traditional sauce that made Lisa's pizza so delicious, there is also Hannah's own dessert recipes, an espresso martini made with Dean's own cold brew coffee recipe and the garlic bread, also created by Dean. While small changes have been made to the interior, with more slowly on the way, you will still find the dining room dimly lit and intimate. Although service was a little slow to start, our girl who seemed to be running the whole show did the best she could. Then Dean arrived, and he did an excellent job engaging and assisting us. He was kind enough to answer all our questions and make recommendations. The large cheese, sausage, mushroom and onion pizza we shared was fantastic and made with a generous amount of toppings. The combo plate veggies had a crispy coating, which kept their texture tender but not soft. The cheesy garlic bread was to die for. One of, if not THE best, I've ever had. “Some of the best Italian food I've ever had in my life. And I frequently go back to New York, which arguably is known for Italian food. The atmosphere is wonderful.
