“Ordered the lunch chicken Verdes enchiladas with black beans and rice. Received beef enchiladas (should have kept these), waiter was prompt and apologetic, and brought back what I ordered within 5 minutes. Chicken had no taste, unfortunately. Great atmosphere. Will try again, but Chicken is my go to, to see how they compare. Was told that they had a new cook. Still would give it a shot if you've never been, just don't get that!!”
“First time trying Daylight Donuts and was pleasantly surprised. They were fresh and very flavorful - both the donuts and apple fritter. Service was excellent. It's probably a good thing that this place is not closer to my house or I'd be tempted to grab a few donuts from here every day.”
“I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the staff they are WONDERFUL!!!! They love their customers and they are so respectful and they love what they do. They know when I pull up I want my two mega cups of ice!!! ❤️❤️❤️”
“We love this place! Food here is amazing especially the wings and cheese fries! They even come out to your car to get your order when their line gets long to keep the wait down. You have to try this place!”
“Food good service excellent gets no better Milkshakes fantasy can't say enough about them go no farther experience loved by me and my family and friends . Mr. P.”
“The service was great but it's been a while since I ate at Captain D's when did they stop putting the tartar sauce in the dining area? Also when did they stop giving drinks with the meals?”
“The manager there is great. But the guy that was in there the last couple days is a clown. Im a door dash driver, I walked in to get an order, which I was informed immediately was "coming out". The customer in front of me (sweet lady, had 52 hungry people waiting for her) had a large order and required 3 trips to her car. I offered to help, so between myself, sweet lady, and the clown, we got it in one. It was raining pretty hard. The clown and I came back in, he proceeds to sticking stickers on boxes, and standing around... Another 15 mins goes by... He hasnt even gone back to put my order in the boxes. Finally, I ask, "my order out yet?"... I swear, he looked me in the eye and casually says "yeah, I was just getting these other boxes ready.... " I looked around, nobody else is there to get an order, so I told him to get my order ready, I had to go. He says "oh? U got alot of orders?".... I waited a total of 46 mins for an order i was told was ready when i walked in. Now the manager I spoke of at the beginning happened to not be there for this... I hope she didnt quit, bc that store apparently doesn't operate without her. When shes there, ALONE, she makes sure that store flows smooth.”
“friendly service and food hot and on timeVegetarian options: very good veggiesParking: just added more parking spaceKid-friendliness: crew was friendly to my 2 sons and sang happy birthday to my youngest”
“Very good service, the mussels and fries were delicious, the lemon tart wasn't the best, and the soup was a bit too salty too, but other than that it was a good experience.”
“Wow. Wow. Wow. Blown away. I’m a huge fan of “fine, French cuisine” and this was certainly worth the 90 min drive to get to. Beautiful and simple, yet service and food are well planned and very intentional. Will absolutely be back, this place DID NOT MISS! Would give 6* if I could.”
“Wonderful food and service -- don't miss the bread service, carpaccio and garganelli with asparagus. Meeting and chatting with Carlos about wine was a real treat. Highly recommended for a night out or groups. We will be back soon!”
“Had a wonderful birthday Dinner. Everything from the drinks to dessert was superb. Will definitely be back. The menu boasts a diverse selection of French dishes. I highly recommend the Beef Wellington, every bite was bursting with flavor. No French meal would be complete without vanilla creme brulee. The best I have had. It's bliss in every spoonful. Bon appetite!”
“One of the very best restaurants in the Southeast. From the tomato pie to the incredible steaks - everything is excellent. Don’t tell your grandmother, but their seasonal vegetables are better than hers. And their angel biscuits will change the way you think about life. If you haven’t been here, you’re missing out.”
“This was our first time and it was absolutely excellent from start to finish! The manager, Brandon, was SO genuinely welcoming and accommodating. Our server, Parker, was flawless and so much fun (request him!). Every dish was perfectly cooked, refined and full of flavor (smoked salmon, fried green tomatoes, fried oysters, rainbow trout, swordfish with andouille, ribeye with truffle fondue). The cocktails and wine all perfect. Will definitely return and want to thank Blueprint for a truly wonderful experience!”
“The staff is friendly. I had the oatmeal cream pie! When they post it on the "Gram" the night before, you better line up as early as 6:30 a.m. However, in all fairness, they only let you get just one (that is new). I would like for them to declare an Oatmeal Cream Pie Day. I would even come in to assist. I guarantee they would be busy all day. This place is a cute little gem and I'm glad I found it.”
“We had a great experience with our impromptu work dinner with our party of 15. Our server Thomas P. was very accommodating and worked to help our large group have a wonderful time. The flavors of the food were bold and paired well with the amazing drink menu. We loved the daiquiris and the Will You Be My Hurricane drinks were our favorites. But please don’t miss the Guri Guri - so yummy! Located right in the heart of downtown in a walkable area from neighboring hotels. Highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
“I was alone in Birmingham and decided to pop in here rather than dine at a hotel restaurant. I'm glad I did. While the bar seating was full, they were kind enough to accommodate me on the heated patio. The food was excellent, so much so that I had to splurge on the Genepy sundae. I will have to come back whenever I am in Birmingham again.”
“Hey there, cocktail connoisseurs! Let's raise a glass to my recent escapade at Adios, where the libations flowed and the vibes were on point. Starting off with the drinks, the Oaxacan Old Fashioned didn't quite hit the mark for me. Lacking that bold Mezcal punch I was craving, it fell a bit on the lighter side. However, the Mexican Firing Squad was a delightful twist on a classic margarita, hitting all the right notes. And let's not forget the Ranch Water - light, refreshing, and a hit with the wife. As for the experience, it was top-notch. The staff were absolute champs, handling our rowdy group with ease and adding to the overall fun factor of the evening. Ambience-wise, think normal lighting with a light-colored interior, but the real star was the impressive ofrenda that added a touch of authenticity to the space. Now, onto the ending thoughts. Here's the deal - Adios keeps things interesting by rotating out their house cocktails regularly. While it's cool to try new concoctions, it's a bit of a bummer if you find your new favorite and it disappears. Nevertheless, with their stellar cocktails and upbeat atmosphere, I'll definitely be making a return trip. Cheers to that!”
“Take your tastebuds on a magical journey that will delight and thrill. This is as authentic as it gets for Greek cuisine in Alabama. There is most definitely truth in advertising as everything was indeed tasty. Since I couldn’t decide on what to order I instinctively went for a whole assortment of different flavor profiles. The baked chicken is the tell , if you go to a Greek restaurant and they don’t have a good baked chicken… walk out. This should be a staple on every single Greek menu. Seemingly innocuous but it is the cannery in the coal mine so to speak for what you can expect for the rest of the meal. It outperformed even my high expectations. Served with a grilled lemon to squeeze over the top it was perfectly salted and not over or under cooked. Our sides were the Greek fries (which were crispy in all the right ways, and a punch of saltiness from the cheese) I asked for some taziki sauce for the chicken but dipped my fries on it as well. Honestly I didn’t even dip the chicken in it because it tasted so good on its own I didn’t have to. I also feasted upon the spinach rice and tabouleh and both were opposites on the flavor spectrum one with warm savory spices that melted with the tomatoes and rice and the other bursting with fresh herbs and spring vegetables with Frekkah which is a roasted green wheat that adds such a wonderful texture and pleasant yet slightly nutty flavor. The orzo “Mac and cheese” is no ordinary Mac and cheese side, this Greek version of a classic dish had such an amazing mouth feel with some garlic and herb notes that just elevated it to the next level. And I’m going to end where we started which was with the appetizers. I can never get past the spanakopita (which is heavy on the dill just like I like it) But today I added in the garden humus which had fresh limas and asparagus with an array of herbs with a drizzle of olive oil… and that is just the topping, underneath laid a silky smooth hummus that was not grainy or bitter . The fresh pita sent me over the moon… I was in greek heaven. The chicken pita was like having all the freshness of the salads and the spot on roasted chicken all in one…. So you really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. I have yet to try something I absolutely didn’t love . We were so stuffed that we had to get the desserts to go but my god … if you haven’t been here you are missing out on one of the best restaurants Birmingham has to offer. It’s a hidden gem in plain sight.”
“Atmosphere: Punch Love Coffee is a small, bright shop in the Makebhm space. There are several tables outside but only a few small tables inside, so it may be more difficult to come with a larger group. The interior is minimalistic with plants scattered around the cafe, as well as a giant monstera! Service: The owner/barista was very nice! One thing to note is that they don't have wifi, so this might not be the optimal place for working remotely. Food: We ordered a vanilla cappuccino and regular cappuccino. They were both served at a nice temperature -- not too hot or cold. The vanilla was a bit on the sweet side, but we still very much enjoyed our drinks. Overall: We loved how intimate and refreshing Punch Love Coffee felt. The drinks were good, and the vibes were positive and friendly. We'd say Punch Love Coffee is a great place to read, chat, and enjoy a drink.”
“In town visiting and decided to try this place. Glad I did, because from the service, to the food, and atmosphere, it exceeded expectations. Krystal took our orders and although I have no dietary restrictions, my friend was ordering for his wife and was very happy that they were able to accommodate with items being gluten free. Especially on Tuesdays. Will definitely return and visit.Ordered the hot chicken and waffles. You’re able to substitute the wings for tenders. Waffle had flavor by itself and the fresh warm peaches with house made butter complimented each other very well.”
“A quick stop for a four-pack Italian... turned into a delightful beer tasting, packed with great conversation, a trivia night, and a couple of amazing Togo plates from OFF BEAT Catering. Thanks Trim Tab Team! I will definitely be returning soon.”
“I can’t stress this enough: Hit Aww Shucks up as much as possible.Everything on the menu is deliciously exciting, and the staff is always friendly. 10/10 experience that I will definitely be revisiting as soon as possible. Love this place!”
“Truly the greatest cake that’s ever existed. When your best friend is a wedding planner, you get to taste a lot of cake. NOTHING compares to Daughter’s Wedding Cake. Truly, no cake comes close. The Gluten Free Chocolate cups are worth the drive to get in person. I could never love another cake more. Staff is also so sweet, always.”
“This was our first time visiting here but it will not be our last. Wonderful service and food! Staff was very knowledgeable about the food choices ? and quick to respond to every need!Parking: Parking is hard so definitely go for the valet.”
“Food, prices, and service were all great!!Parking: Not sure of numbwr but pkenty.Kid-friendliness: No problem for kidsWheelchair accessibility: 2 ramps and stairs.”
“Food was amazing. Staff was kind.Vegetarian options: LotsDietary restrictions: Many options for everyone.Kid-friendliness: My daughter and her friend loved the food especially the Alfredo and the Stuffed Shells”
“Great beer selection and it was nice to see that older buildings were being repurposed. Always go with a flight, if you're not sure what beer you like, That way you get to try four different ones and not waste a whole one if you don't like it. Really fun brewery with tons of space.”
“We look forward to eating here every summer! Hotdogs & pretzels are our favorite item on the menu! This is the perfect place for a quick bite to eat with the family!”
“Wish I had stopped by sooner than I did. They've got a nice breezy spot right on the highway, a place to sit down outside, and some big fans to keep you cool. Like concession stand food? Nachos, candy, shaved ice, etc? This is the place for you. They're also SUPER friendly.”
