“I had 2 issues. #1: I’m not a woman yet the first greeting I hear when the server arrives at the table is “Hi ladies.” Please teach your staff gender neutral language. You can just say Hello, tell us your name, and ask us if we’re ready to order. The “ladies” or “gentlemen” part of the greeting is not necessary. I guess our server decided it was more important to gender us than to provide good service. And I shouldn’t have to tell the server that I’m not a woman, I shouldn’t have to put myself in public where someone could overhear and I put myself in danger. #2: I asked for fries with my sandwich. I had to find my server and ask where they were. I also asked for no lemon and my water came with lemon. My friend also had requests missing and decided not to say anything because she is not confrontational.”

“Great little sushi spot, I hate to say it but sooo much better than MIKIs! they serve wild salmon and you don't have to ASK! Very good sushi and normal pricing. Thanks for always being consistent. I love the tuna tatatki, anything raw salmon and the takoyaki. I was a little disappointed with the bbq eel nigiri, so fatty and not worth the price. The rest of my experiences have been great there. Pick up or eat in, the restaurant is very cute and looks very japanese.”

“The dining experience was fantastic! The vegan food is superb, every dish is carefully prepared, brimming with rich flavor, and both seasoning and doneness are just right. Eating it warms my stomach and brings great satisfaction. Everyone wanting to try delicious food should give it a go; I must recommend it to everyone around me!”

“Beijing House is our favourite restaurant in Campbell River, BC. Our kids love the lemon chicken, green onion pancakes and mini spring rolls. My wife and I love that it is authentic, healthy chinese cuisine, served by kind, joyful owners. If you are looking to support local, this is a great option!”

“We choose this place based on reviews and were not disappointed. The Salmon Chowder was amazing we had fish tacos and a Cali Cheese steak sandwich. Everything was HOT and delicious. Service was prompt without being pushy. Nice range of ages in the restaurant shows broad appeal. The SoCal lager was a nice mild beer.”

“We were camping at Salmon Point RV Resort and decided to come here for dinner on our last night at the campground. The butternut squash ravioli was delicious. I told the staff that it took everything in me not to lick the plate! The ocean views were incredible and the interior of the restaurant was spotless and modern. We are so glad we went!

While some reviewers have mentioned not loving the ordering system, I actually found it very efficient. It’s a style you often see in larger cities, so it might just be new to some visitors. If you’re comfortable using a QR code and your phone, it’s a breeze. And if you’re not particularly phone-savvy, there are plenty of friendly staff happy to help. Our food arrived quickly and was excellent across the board.

The only thing I’d mention is that they are so popular it’s best to book your reservation a couple days in advance. We left it too late at had to catch a later reservation than desired.”

“Went for a late lunch today had a backwards meal dessert first, the black forest cheesecake was excellent! We had Levi serve us he is a great treat himself perfect server (good service is hard to come by you rock!). We followed up the dessert with delicious Ramen. Trusted our server to pair our meal with drinks, wine and beer were a great match. We have been here many times food and drinks are always great.”

“This intimate little restaurant was a real find 🥰on my way through Campbell River! The food was great and service attentive, friendly but unobtrusive. I have had Thai food in other places in Canada and other countries and these dishes were delicious and authentic. I had the Thai Papaya Salad which came with a nice amount of the house dressing, as well as the Kristy Special with tofu as my protein selection. Being vegetarian, it was great that I could select the protein for any dish; that is so rare! Usually I am stuck with one or two options, but here I could paid tofu with most of the offerings. I had also asked for medium spice and it didn't disappoint 😅. The vegetables were generous and were not overcooked, and came with a generous helping of rice noodles and the tofu. And the portions for both were large enough that I saved a portion to have another day. Even though the place was at capacity, service was efficient, friendly and timely. If you love Thai food, I definitely highly recommend this place in Campbell River! 😋🇹🇭”

“Incredible!!!!! Exceptional!!! Wow!!! The fork and arrow catered my wedding and let me tell you, it was some of the best prime rib I’ve had. This meat was melt in your mouth yummy, the asparagus was so tasty my best man said “I have never wanted more asparagus “the potatoes my stepson asked how did they make those? I can’t review the carrots because carrots are for rabbits. 🤣🤣 I want to thank you guys for making my special day that much more special there was not one complaint in the house ❤️❤️ The staff went over and above, and I could have not asked for better.”

Rarely do I experience both at the same time, even more rare is to have both exceed my expectations However…this was the case at our recent visit to Quay West. We received a warm welcome with warmer smiles and prompt friendly service. Our plan was a quick snack and a cool beer…we ordered the ‘Bang Bang Prawns’ and the Onion Rings from the appetizer menu. i expected four breaded prawns…we received a meal that Gordon Ramsey would be proud to serve and the onion rings…perfectly seasoned and crispy AND…a full basket! A truly amazing experience…. Four thumbs up and ten Stars out of a possible five. Oh, and if, while sitting at the table at Quay West, you are wondering on the odd looking mountain across the water…it is known as Cowboy’s Hat and Dog Tooth Mountain but the official named is Mount Doogie Dowler.”

“It was our first time eating in this chain. We were driving through Campbell River and wanted to have a quick stop for a lunch. I was impressed with the cleanliness in the restaurant and , most importantly, how fresh all ingredients were. They have told us that everything is cut every morning , and no prep is used from yesterday. We ordered two bowl burritos. Delicious. Fresh. Ate inside. The customer service was friendly, and we were not rushed to pick what we wanted. Good experience definitely. Highly recommend.”

“White spot always feels like an excellent choice. The quality is always consistent. The restaurant was very very busy and the service was still excellent. We even watched an interaction where the customer was rude (don't know why or any of the circumstance) and the server was polite, pleasant and solution focuses through the whole encounter. She then apologized to us for our wait and seemed very relieved when we were very easy going. No pressure from us, but great job managing a stressful situation!”

Our order, totaling around $50–$60, was taken with great care, and he noted all the details accurately. His team also did a fantastic job preparing everything. “Really liked this particular McDonalds. The food was great, the staff were friendly and efficient! Just needed to get buzzed in by staff to use the washrooms which were clean and well maintained. Was able to get seated inside as of 5 am (summer hours) - 24 hour service for drive through.”
