“Very good Reuben sandwich. Actually everything that I have had to eat here has been very tasty and the portions are extremely generous. The restaurant is in an office building with a planted atrium with tables and chairs for diners to eat which is a bonus. Enjoy!“
“Honestly, my favorite sandwiches in SF. Really high quality meats... crisp, fresh produce... several homemade condiments... and Acme bread! It's always hard for me to make up my mind about what I want. Call or use an app to order ahead, it might take a minute to make your sandwich.“
“Awesome authentic Italian deli! The Molinari special Italian combo may be one of the best sandwiches we've ever eaten! We went back three times during our time in San Francisco and even made sure to grab a sandwich for our flight back home! Sooo good!!“
“Great place run by good people who grew up in the neighborhood! Their sandwiches are fresh and full of layers of quality meat. The smoker outside says it all. Support our locals and grab a T Line on Dutch Crunch next time you're in the Oceanview!“
“I just came back from San Francisco where I was able to go to “La fromagerie” cheese shop in Chestnut. The products are fabulous. I have never eaten such good cheese in France! The sandwiches are prepared in front of the customer, the products are fresh and delicious. The charcuterie is excellent. Bread too. The shop is run by super friendly and welcoming French people! I recommend +++I already miss their Appenzeller!!!“
“One of the best hot pastrami sandwiches I've had in a long time. Generous amount of meat, good size, with a tasty soft hoagie roll. I only had half of it for lunch. Salt and cinegar potato chips were a great side for it. I also had the potato salad. I am not a mayo person and I did not mind this one. No oily aftertaste, it was great! It also went great with the pastrami. Love the local neighborhood vibe and the super nice ladies that were behind the counter that day. Can't wait to try their other sandwiches!“
“Been here twice now- classic walk-up deli counter set-up where you pick up a number and once called you are ready to order. There is so much choice it's a difficult decision to make- first time round got the caprese- so fresh and simple but so so tasty sitting at fort mason in the sunshine devouring the soft bread with delicious ingredients, one of the lighter side sandwiches with not too much meat. Also had the Pat Burell- plenty of meat and pretty big, good roast beef sandwich with an italian twist, one of the pricier sandwiches on the menu- one of the personal go-to's. Have also tried the Caggiano- also just as delicious- you can really taste the freshness of the meat slices and nice and saucy on the soft ciabatta. Perfect sandwiches to take for a park picnic or stroll in the sun around crissy field. It is a to-go market so no seating inside. They also have shelves of intriguing Italian goodies to add to your picnic experience, although produce is a little on the pricier side. Will be back again to pick-up sandwiches for the perfect marina picnic day“
“Best sandwiches in San Francisco. The daily specials are my favorite. The flavor combinations are so creative and incredibly delicious. Their classic tomato soup is wonderful, and the perfect addition to any sandwich. Service is always friendly. I would order from them every day if I could.“
“Yes, the hype is worth checking this place out! Trip tip sandwiches for my buddy and me. 5/5. Mr Carroll is one of the best humans I’ve ever spoken with. He’s amazing and this is an amazing local spot with a ton of history! I can’t wait to go back and try another because it was so good the first time around!“
“Heavenly sandwich, bread has some crunch, in a good way. Not too much bread, lots of greens so almost like a sandwich plus salad. One sandwich is enough for two 47 yr old people. Sandwiches not good as leftovers, bread gets wet. No tables, meant to eat at Alamo Park. Ordered from their website on the way so it was ready when we arrived.Parking: Had to circle once to find a street spot. Wednesday is no parking at lunch due to street sweeping. Two blocks away was OK on Wednesday.“
“LOVE LOVE LOVE this gem! I drove twice in the past week to OBF for food and NA drinks. They have Athletic Run Wild IPA on draft! The staff is friendly and generally very happy to have you there and be a part of their day. The food is DELISH! Breakfast, lunch, coffee, refreshing NA drink to enjoy outside or inside. It is worth the drive for me to not be laughed at when I try to order an NA beverage and have a tons of options.“
“My sisters and I were in the neighborhood getting tattooed next door at Rose Gold’s a few weeks ago and popped into Amal’s for a snack. The ladies behind the counter suggested we get the manakish and it was GENUINELY ONE OF THE BEST THINGS I’VE EVER EATEN. We went back and ordered five more. Amal was so welcoming and made us feel right at home. The market has great stuff - fresh food, quality products, even a giant rack of Haribo from all over the world. The snacks are top notch and they know their clientele in that neighborhood ? Stop in and let “Mama” Amal make you lunch, you’ll be happy you did!“
“Absolutely fantastic sandwiches! Huge selection of breads, meats, cheeses etc and they have a vegan salami which is delicious! Plus they offer a vegan mayo for no additional charge. It can be a little overwhelming, just take your time - the board tells you everything. If you go at lunch on a weekday expect a line but the workers are super nice and fast. And of course there's not anywhere to sit inside - this is a deli! Just take your sandwich and be happy Highly recommend if you're in the area.“
“Tiny gem! Had the only item listed on the special board- unique sourdough focaccia bread that my daughter said was the best bread she's had. Topped w/ whipped feta, arugula and Jimmy Nardello grilled peppers. Tasty, unique, special. $8 pizza slice, with a simple, tomato sauce on their delicious bread. A cabinet full of unique Italian speciality items. Cute place!“
“I needed help Recombiputating a Stringed Hypintalcomitor and my pal Crosscut Kenny from Oaktown is going to save the day! I picked him up at his shop, The Wagon Works there on 26th and was going to go straight to Portnoy Lear's up to Broadway Terrace where I have the thing deployed but Ol Crosscut needs to eat first. Luckily the Railroad Stop Deli is only a block away from his shop!I've never been to this deli before, and all I can say is WOW! 5 Stars! ☆☆☆☆☆“
“This is outstanding food to either eat between flights or take onto your long foodless flight for a truly satisfying meal. Friendly and helpful and they had gluten free bread when I asked! A custom made gluten free hot sandwich is enough to make me schedule a flight to that gate area on a long trip!“
“Mike & Ken’s Deli, my son wanted a turkey sandwich, we drove to Little Luca, it was 5:30 PM. The place closed at 4:00PM. We drove around after looking for a sandwich place open, the map suggest to try the Mike & Ken’s Deli. I was happy to see a couple of Cop vehicles outside the deli, (always a good sign that the food is good) there was a few orders ahead and it was 11 minutes formy turn. My son went for the Turkey and Provolone sandwich on soft roll, they were out of it so we went for the warmed sourdough instead. Nice people making the sandwich with large selection of salads, breakfast and sandwiches. The deli is like a small liquor store serving beer with lottery ticket machine available.“
“I often come here to purchase Chinotto. It's a carbonated citrus beverage from Italy.Today I had a meatloaf sandwich.Better than the fabled Herb's meatloaf sandwich.Unfortunately it was drizzling so I did not sit out in front at the convenient tables and chairs. It's a nice Sunny spot. It's always my pleasure to do business with a local entrepreneur. We got to support them or the chains will move in and warp the neighborhood.Come for one of the myriad sandwiches from the menu. Stay for the hometown appeal.Enjoy!“
“Amazing sandwiches with quality ingredients and great service. The salami in my Italian sandwich was especially good, not the usual processed stuff. I recommend getting all of the toppings (minus the peppers and pickles if you want to taste more of the meats and cheeses), they make the sandwiches flavorful. Fancy sandwiches are generally $13-$15, and bottled drinks are $3ish. There are a few tables inside and some by their parklet.Dietary restrictions: All sandwiches are made fresh so you can ask for ingredients to be omitted. The sandwich prep area is somewhat small so minor contamination is likely, especially with gluten.Parking: Street parking along Guerrero, you might have to circle 2 blocks but you should be able to find parking.Wheelchair accessibility: There are two steps to get inside, but the owner is kind and should be able to do curbside service if you ask/call. The Bodega has a sidewalk-level parklet you can eat at.“
“I've now been to Deli Lama about four times and have had a great experience every time. It's in a random part of town but usually there's parking nearby even though some of the spots might not look legit because of construction but regardless, the food is tops and it's a great value too. I've never made it early enough to get breakfast options (and I love breakfast burritos, so I wanna do that some time) but their sandwiches are really solid. I got the TPA most recently on Dutch crunch and it's filling and a great deal! Definitely wanna try more different options but will just have to get up earlier!“
“I have been going to this place since a young age. I am always greeted when I walk in by the owner Chuck. All staff are very friendly and are always happy to answer any questions I have. All their sandwiches are great, my personal favorites are grilled chicken sandwich and the pesto chicken sandwich. They have in door dinning and the place is very clean. Fairly priced especially with surrounding Deli's being severely over priced. If I could give this place 10 stars I would!“
“Hello...I had the opportunity to stay overnight in San Bruno before heading to Austin, TX. My sister and I decided to walk to Roma Deli for our dinner. I probably was a pain to the gentleman taking my order...sorry...just very picky about my sandwiches. People...without a doubt, this sandwich was the BEST sandwich I have ever had in my life. All I can say is...YOU MUST GO THERE!!!!! SO worth it...thank you!!!!!“
“The family that owns George’s are amazing. Just the nicest most genuine people you could meet. Everyone that works there is very friendly and promptly take your order. The sandwiches are so delicious. They have a nice selection of beverages, snacks, wine and beer. Never disappointed!“
“I'm not from the city but I used to work for a delivery courier out here. I stumbled into this place looking for water one day and I got "The Giants" pastrami sandwich. This was over a year ago and every time I come in to the city I will stop here if I can. I love "The Giants", "Tito's Special" and even the "Chicken Pesto". I LOVE THESE SANDWICHES WAY BETTER THAN IKES. Be patient with the lone cook he takes his time but makes the sandwiches with love. Recommend“
“Rolled the dice and today Deli Man was the winner. I’m not mad at the choice it was a hefty sandwhich made well. Service was awesome, I walked in scatter brained and my guy was patient and helpful. I wanted to try the tri tip but unfortunately is unavailable at the moment but will hopefully return soon(get well buddy). So after a long hard look at the menu with a little bit of disappointment I decided to get a Turkey Bacon and Avacado with everything on it on a soft roll and a side of banana pudding. The sandwhich was good size loaded with turkey and bacon. The way it was put together was a perfect stack. 8/10The Banana Pudding was also a hit, not to sweet and a pretty big serving. 8.5/10Parking: Parking is not impossible but it is a task. I circled the block a few times. Double parking could work just watch the carKid-friendliness: Pre made sandwiches and a good snack sectionWheelchair accessibility: Accessible“
“For smoked meat enthusiasts, this Polish deli is a godsend — and affordably priced! Aside from the classic kielbasa, highlights include uncut bacon, smoked pork ribs and dried hunter sausage. An excellent option for stocking up on Polish pickled foods including sauerkraut and beets!“
“Having being raised in Italy, it's difficult to find places that not only have the quality, but the feel that connects you to your past. This place fits the bill! Food quality excellent! Atmosphere authentic. Whenever I drive through ( because I'm from out of town), I gladly go out of my way to get a small taste of an authentic Italian flavor. I can't really think of abother place with that real feel.“
“You can't go wrong with Teanis! In my honest opinion these sandwiches are far much better than little Luca. The service is always quick but thoughtful. Although they are always busy I receive my food in a timely manner. I also enjoy that this is a small business & the home feeling the shop's decor brings. These sandwiches are ginormous and one sandwich can easily feed 2-3 people. I always have two meals out of one sandwich.“
“Visting Oakland downtown area recently.I hadn't been in approx 5 yrs. I was delighted to see Ratto's full with a lunchtime crowd. Ratto's is known for their delicious made to order gourmet sandwiches. I stopped in and ordered a tuna sandwich, which proved to be absolutely scrumptious. I can't wait to have a chance to visit again... Ratto's is my very favorite sandwich deli shop!“
“Delicious club sandwich and perfectly cooked fries! The burgers are tasty too! It is always very clean inside and the people are so nice. I look forward to trying their soup and salads. If you are looking for an affordable lunch option in this neighborhood, you should check them out.“
“I stopped in omw home from the post office...I was craving a pastry but the savory smell was too enticing to ignore. Once the fellow at the counter (I'm thinking proprietor) told me that they bake their bread fresh daily, I was sold. I asked for a recommendation, (which, in spite of his best efforts and cheerful patience as I tried - first to pronounce - and then memorize the name of the dish, completely eludes me now) but it was their specialty; a hot sandwich on warm soft flatbread with a mysterious selection of melted cheese, lamb sausage (I think!) and an egg omelet. I had every intention of taking a photo, but it smelled so wonderful that I forgot until, well, the picture below shows what was left. It was different, delicious and I will definitely be back!“
“This is a San Francisco treasure! Easily accessible from Chinatown, FiDi, Rincon Hill, Embarcadero, and the Ferry Building, there is something for everyone here for breakfast or lunch.Prices are reasonable and the breakfast burrito was perfect. It was large, filling, and delicious. Service was warm and friendly and fun and personable. The decor inside gave me old-timey vibes. I will be back to try sandwiches or a bagel.“
“I love this place. Friendly, good food, and great prices! My favorite thing to get is the breakfast burritos but I have also had the falafel and some of the sandwiches and everything has been great! Plus $4 iced coffee, you can't beat that. I work at ZSFG so I'm usually there twice a day.“
“This is all around a really great sandwich! Bread was good and the toppings and condiments were perfectly proportional, exactly how I would've made it myself. The only reason I'm not giving this 5 stars is because the tuna was a little bit bland and I had to add salt and pepper - but other than that it was great and I will definitely be back. I ordered through Yelp and when I arrived at the pick up time they didn't seem to have seen my order, I recommend just walking in and ordering rather than using the app. They are very nice and made it right away so it didn't matter - just a tip for future customers!“
“Only been here once, but the reviews are spot on. This place rocks! Great food. Excellent vibe. Nourishing & delicious food that is well prepared. I had tortilla soup and fries. Soup was outstanding and the fries were perfect. Can’t wait to come back!“
“Breakfast sandwiches that are like the fresh, made to order cousin of McDonald’s sausage egg McMuffins, and I mean that as the highest compliment. A classic, neighborhood family owned business. Kind service and the kind of place they know customers’ names.“
“Note: Handy Deli posted hours for the store and for the Deli counter. The Deli Counter wraps up earlier, and the store with wine, beer, liquor & healthy drinks options remains open into the wee hours of the morning on most days.Street parking on Irving Street.Dietary restrictions: Check out the menu and specify dietary needs when you order!Kid-friendliness: Handy Deli welcomes families and works hard to have kids enjoy the experience.“
“OMG! This is my favorite place to stop for snacks, beverages, desserts and SANDWICHES! I ordered the Skinny Jeans Sandwich on Wheat and this was absolutely perfect. It was literally THE BEST sandwich I've ever had! It was amazing and I would come back again for another one! The store is well stocked, lots of options for customers and very good customer service. Get all the items you need here! Street parking usually easy to find.“
“You wouldn't expect it for being right outside a Home Depot, but.. Kelly's Deli has probably some of the best Mexican food in the Bay Area. I love Mexican food. I've tried a lot of places since I've moved here and very few compare to San Diego Mexican food... but this one does. For some weird reason, most places here really mess up their carne asada. Not this place. It makes every Burrito, Taco, Quesadilla, etc exceptional. I haven't tried their other non-Mexican items as I can't bring myself to miss out on my favorites, but I'm sure they're good too. This place is always a must-buy whenever I stop by Home Depot to get some tools or hardware. Awesome!“
“We LOVE Julie's Deli Brisbane. Terrific friendly service, and the most delicious mouth-watering Ruben Sandwich we've ever experienced. I highly recommend Julie's deli and we also love their Dad's Old Fashioned Caffeine Free Root Beer! Yum Yum Yum! Julie's Brisbane deli is located in a Hallmark-esque charming town nestled just outside of San Francisco.“
