“Im not sure why this place doesnt have better reviews. Pricing is not crazy. In SF it would be like $16 each for medium container (which is small in sf) but here it was $9 each plus $1 add ons for the smaller container. I loved that there was an extra small size - i didn't want to waste any and i knew the kid size was enough for me. You can order from a screen and you dont wait long. There are tons of options or you can create your own. There are two tables outside. I will for sure return.“

“Gelato 101 is the best gelato shop in San Diego, maybe even in the USA. When we go to have gelato there, we feel like we are in Italy. So authentic! They are very creative with their flavors and of course have the traditional flavors as well. The family that owns it is so hospitable and great customer service. My absolute favorite is getting a scoop of coffee and scoop of sea salted caramel and having them pour a shot of espresso over it!!! YUM!!! My mouth is watering as I type just thinking about it. Please don't waste your time going to any other gelato shop.“

“I was hesitant the first time I tried Alohana. I was a die hard Everbowl customer for years. However, with Everbowl's rising prices and smaller portions it was time to find another spot. I like the Uppers bowl with no Nutella sub extra peanut butter. The staff is great and I've both ordered online to pick up as well as walked in. Easy both ways. The value of bowl you get for the price blows Everbowl out of the water. I recommend this store, you won't be disappointed.“

“This is a hidden gem somewhere in Carlsbad. I'm so happy I found this place and I fully regret not ordering my own acai bowl. Although it doesn't seem like much, the acai bowl that we got here was actually very delicious and fresh! Something about it made me enjoy it so much more than I have the others I've ordered from other businesses. If you're in the area, definitely go check them out!“

“We don’t usually go out for breakfast (the easiest meal to make at home for 1/8th the cost & healthier, tastier dishes) but…we tried the Chiliquilles and memosa sampler and had a very tasty and filling meal (feeds two), wonderful service by Rocael at The Mira Mesa restaurant and a waitress even stopped by briefly for a human conversation. Walked away with full belly’s, a great experience and a nice little buzz. Will return if we can get Rocael and the nice waitress who was closer to our age (think post Logans Run). Sorry, love…didn’t catch your name. Would be GREAT if we could get the same choices as The PB restaurant!!“

“Stopping here in the morning or afternoon is always a pleasure. Lori has great drink options, smoothies, and breakfast items. Her espresso is the best tasting espresso in the area. I also love the egg bites, mocha smoothie with a shot of espresso, and bagels. Great quality, amazing prices, lovely service.“

“Hidden gem next to RIMAC that's great for delicious shakes that have great macros and protein. The inside is pretty small and you can order in-person or through a kiosk (there's one in RIMAC as well). I highly recommend grabbing a perfect 10 here!“

“This spot is definitely gorgeous for a coffee break. Awesome view and clearly a local student/staff favorite. They grilled our egg salad sandwich in the panini maker and the iced matcha latte was delicious. The crew here helpful And warm. Also very quick. I only wish there was more “bar style” seating for those who tend to linger for hours on their own instead of taking up a whole table. It’s been super crowded with no seating the last few months bc people tend to stay for hours working. Which I totally understand. But for a UCSD alum like me, I may just wanna sit for half an hour maybe an hour at most and often there is no seating. That’s my only suggestion. Add single person searing. But I’ll definitely be back and hope to come before a “rush”. The line can get very long. (I get it. I used to work in a cafe at the Price Center and it was crazy there). Also would Love if they stayed open later. One can only hope.“

“I'm relatively new to the açaí bowl scene, but I was nonetheless excited to see Blue Bowl open a spot at UCSD. It's located at Sixth College and I believe it was chosen as a vendor because the owners are UCSD alum!I visited midday on a weekday and found the place to be pretty empty, so I was helped right away. The staff is really patient and gave me plenty of time to make my choices. I went for the açaí base and the chia seed pudding with all of the fruit options. This particular combination went really well together and it's great seeing them add new options every now and then. Definitely stop by this place if you ever find yourself on campus!“

“It was very clean when we stopped by. Many flavors to choose from (I think there were 10-12?) My kids loved it. Four stars only because I wasn't asked if I needed a receipt and the cashier just assumed I didn't need one. They have a small freezer with ready to go frozen yogurt cakes. The parking is not bad but all the spaces in the parking lot tend to be a bit narrower. But it's in a great location right across Target and close to many restaurants. We will definitely return.“

“I went here because I like to try new coffee places, and since my GF is going to school in SD and I saw this place, I decided to try it out and it was perfect. “This is an excellent place for lunch or grabbing a quick and healthy bite! When I come here I usually get the Iron Man chicken sandwich. The ingredients are fresh and tasty plus they also have a ton of other options on the menu for whatever mood your in. If you want something lighter they have great acai bowls and smoothies as well. Thankfully this place is right up the street so I come here all the time!“
