“We were on a family trip and I found this place on Google maps with good reviews. We got here around lunch time not a lot of people but the server was not that welcoming especially when I told her how many people we have. I just ignored it and waited until our table is ready. Ordering is pretty straightforward we have been to a lot of places like this before. Our food was delivered by a robot which was amazing the kids love it and it was served by the server. The food is really good and on point. The vibe and decorations are very nice it complement the theme of seafood restaurant. I definitely recommend this place if you are in the area.”

The Thai tea that came with it wasn’t too sweet (I got it without boba) just perfect for my taste. The portion was very generous (I even had leftovers to take home), and every single ingredient tasted fresh and flavorful. I was honestly surprised to get such a great lunch at this price.

“It was about noon as I left my Doctors office and feeling a little hungry. I say Pegah’s Kitchen next door and gave it a try. The staff were all very professional. I had their Italian omelette and if I had to rate it on a one to 10 scale with 10 being the best, I would give it a 12. This is the Vista location. Highly recommend this place for breakfast and lunch, as they are not open for dinner.”

“Went to Brigantine with my stunning girlfriend and had an amazing experience. We were seated right away at a comfortable booth, and the atmosphere was peaceful and beautiful. We started with the crab fondue appetizer which was huge and absolutely delicious. For dinner, we ordered the special sea bass and the bacon wrapped shrimp and crab. Both dishes were outstanding and easily a 10 out of 10. The prices were very reasonable for the quality. Overall, an incredible meal and experience. Highly recommend.”

“If you love French-style wines, especially Rhône varietals, you’ll definitely want to check this place out. The wines are amazing, and the whole vibe is relaxed and welcoming.

The setting is gorgeous, with a big patio full of tables and umbrellas. They often have live music, which makes it a fun spot to hang out. They sell great snacks like charcuterie packs, crackers, olives, almonds, and chocolate in the tasting room and there's usually a food vendor on-site.

One of the highlights of visiting is Stevie, one of the wine pourers. She’s super friendly, down to earth, and really knows her stuff when it comes to their wines. She makes the tasting experience fun and approachable, even if you’re not a wine expert.

The owners, Lynn and Mark, are also incredibly kind and welcoming. You can tell they love sharing their beautiful property with others. It’s dog-friendly, too! You’ll often see their own dogs wandering around, and they even have horses and pigs.

Domaine Artefact is a great place to relax, sip some fantastic wine, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. I highly recommended it and look forward to going back again and again.”

It’s a full bar, so there is something for everyone. Mocktails for none drinkers, too. The food is delicious! I’m a big fan of their Beef Bourguignon and French Onion Soup. The Crème Brulee is such a treat. I highly recommend this restaurant for your next date night or nice night out with friends. Try it, you’ll love it!”

“This location was one of the few places that can accept the NEW EBT microchipped card. You can do the front kiosk to prepare the order, and then suspend the order to pay at the register for the EBT card payment. And while Jackbox and am/pm both do not accept the new cards yet. This burger king location was able to serve me and I am grateful for the employee who was willing to help figure it out.

Kid-friendliness: It isn't in the best neighborhood of Escondido but it looked clean and safe inside. The bathroom must be opened by the employees. It was large and open seating and looked kid friendly enough that I would rather be inside burger king with my child instead of on the outside there.

Wheelchair accessibility: Average handicapped parking and open floor plan would be very wheelchair friendly.”

“Family owned! Great speakeasy vibe with lots of cool steampunk designs. You can even buy your own steampunk glasses and hats here! They mostly serve just alcoholic kombucha and 1 rotating local beer on tap, and like 2 non-alcoholic kombuchas. All of their kombucha is good with unique flavor profiles for each type. I love all their lemonade versions - tastes like actual lemonade to me, and they use cool fruits in their kombucha like dragonfruit! If you like it, they sell bottles, and can also bottle one for you then snd there. They usually have live music Friday and Saturday and events throughout the week. The vibe is definitely worth coming in and having a drink.”

Sadly the on floor manager, Nick, now claiming to be the owner in today's conversation, will not honor a gift card our friend bought for us a few months back. Nick is very agressive, harsh, and sadly not a good face for this amazing restaurant. Our family has been eatting here for 3 generations ever since they opened. We have watched several sets of family member take over operating this family business, and have loved ever member prior. However, Nick is an unfortunate one. With a gift card receipt stating Nick's name, he denies selling a gift card to anyone but one person. Nick has unfortunately ruined our favorite family restaurant. If the real owner ever reads this, I hope we can work something out. My recommendation, eat somewhere else. Its not worth the gruff service and the potential to get screwed. :/”

“I had high hopes for Huckleberry’s—this was our first time visiting, and my husband and I love exploring new breakfast spots. Breakfast is one of our favorite meals of the day, so we were excited to try it out.

The experience started off well. Our waiter was friendly and attentive at first, but unfortunately, he didn’t check on us again until we had to flag him down for drink refills. That lack of follow-up really affected our overall impression.

When the food arrived, it didn’t come out all together. My husband and I got our plates first, but his potatoes were cold and his English muffin wasn’t toasted at all. My son’s meal—chicken tenders and fries—arrived much later than ours.

On the bright side, I really enjoyed my meal. I had the Bananas Foster with scrambled eggs and fried green tomatoes—everything was absolutely delicious. But it was disappointing to see my husband, who was looking forward to the meal, not enjoy his due to cold food and poor preparation.

Overall, while there were a few highlights, the inconsistent service and food quality—especially the cold plate—make it unlikely that we’ll return. There’s just no excuse for food coming out cold.”

“Stopped by Fruitimania today for a quick lunch after a walk I’m in my health girl era & trying to stick to lower-calorie meals🥗🏃🏽‍♀️. But I was hungrier than usual after a longer workout, so I called ahead to place a pickup order & I decided to treat myself to the Supreme Pastrami Sandwich (a hot sandwich) & a tropical mango smoothie🥪🥭.

The sweet lady told me it would be ready in about 10 minutes, which was perfect by the time I drove over my order was ready to go. Super quick & great service!

Both were seriously delicious! The pastrami sandwich was packed with flavor cream cheese, pesto, turkey bacon, pepperoni, and pastrami & the portion size was perfect. Not too big, not too small. It totally hit the spot, & I can definitely see myself ordering it again.

The smoothie was also super refreshing. I got the medium size (20 oz), & it was the perfect complement to the sandwich.🥤🧊

Side note: This isn’t my first time coming here it’s actually my third or fourth visit. I usually go for the açaí bowls 🫐🍓 because they’re also really good. But today I wanted to try something new! Here’s a photo from one of my previous visits when I enjoyed a bowl out on their outdoor patio 🌞🪴 with my friend who tagged along.

When the food arrived, it didn’t come out all together. My husband and I got our plates first, but his potatoes were cold and his English muffin wasn’t toasted at all. My son’s meal—chicken tenders and fries—arrived much later than ours.

On the bright side, I really enjoyed my meal. I had the Bananas Foster with scrambled eggs and fried green tomatoes—everything was absolutely delicious. But it was disappointing to see my husband, who was looking forward to the meal, not enjoy his due to cold food and poor preparation.

Overall, while there were a few highlights, the inconsistent service and food quality—especially the cold plate—make it unlikely that we’ll return. There’s just no excuse for food coming out cold.”

“A Hidden Gem Near Welk Resort – Don’t Let the Renovations Fool You!

While staying at the Welk Resort—which isn’t exactly known for its dining options—my husband and I ventured just a couple miles down the road to Oaks Bar and Grill, and we’re so glad we did.

The first thing you’ll notice is the fluttering BBQ signs that help you spot the place easily. The restaurant is currently undergoing renovations, and admittedly, the interior atmosphere might not immediately draw you in—but trust me, persevere. The food more than makes up for it.

For dinner on Mother's Day, I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with a side of fries and, on a fellow patron’s recommendation, the potato salad. I’m usually not a “double potato” person, but I’m so glad I listened. The pork was perfectly tender, lightly sauced so the flavor of the meat shone through, and incredibly satisfying.

My husband went for the Korean BBQ options on the menu and ordered the bulgogi plate with fried rice and kimchi. We were both blown away by the taste and quality—so much so that we decided to return the next day. The kimchi was so good.

On our second visit (for breakfast around 10:00am!), the chef—who seemed to be a Korean mama and clearly knows what she's doing—recommended the spicy Korean pork. We both ordered it, and it was nothing short of phenomenal.

We also ordered take-out bulgogi and kimchi to take home for dinner! It was nicely packed up and excellent reheated.

There’s also a full bar onsite, and during the day, the space seems to serve as part of the golf course pro shop. While the setting may still be in transition, the food here is next-level and truly makes Oaks Bar & Grill a hidden gem in the area. We’ll absolutely be back!”
