“Our first time to LA, from Kentucky. We stayed in a hotel just down the street and stumbled in. The food is fantastic, the menu has something for everyone, the atmosphere is perfect on a rainy LA evening, and the staff is super friendly. I recommend it for anyone who loves Tex-Mex in a great atmosphere. Did I mention the prices of the food? Too Cheap.“
“We went on Saturday night around 9pm, cocktails were outstanding!! Delicious and balanced! Great prices and there were 2 people attending the whole place but it was not too crowded, we ordered fries with steak and the meat was very soft, we'll definitely come back , lots of street parking!“
“Great dining experience! A very good place for lunch, especially at happy hour time. When you can try small portions of the menu, the place is full of good vibes .Definitely recommendParking -3.5/5*Accessibility -5/5*Atmosphere - 5/5*Clean - 4/5*Restrooms - 3.5/5*Service - 3.5/5*Food visually -4.5/5*Food taste -5/5*Food freshness -4/5*Price - 5/5*Total score - 4.3 points out of 5“
“5 stars for the enchanting old-school atmosphere of this cozy establishment. 5 stars for beautifully made cocktails by skilled bartenders. 5 stars for friendly service and knowledgeable servers. The sole reason I'm deducting a star is for the total lack of non-meat dinner options. I made an exception and had a salmon caesar salad that was very delicious, but I so wish they'd throw a vegetarian a proverbial bone. It certainly won't stop me from coming back for a classy drink, but it would make it a hell of a lot easier for me to stick around after I've finished it.“
“Food was amazing! I ordered the avocado toast with 2 poached eggs and side salad. I picked off of my daughter's plates, chili cheese fries and panini sandwich and it was really good. I ordered the Mexicali coffee and although it was good, I think I will try a different coffee next time. Service was amazing. They sat us down quick and were attentive and helpful. We sat outside since the inside was completely full but I'm glad we got seated outside. It felt more intimate since we were a party of 10. My kids really liked it as well so we will definitely be going back :)“
“Amazing atmosphere. The food is so good, so fresh. I come here few times a week and I am always satisfied. I love the vibes and the employees are all so nice. Amazing service great experience. If you are looking for a casual night out this is it!“
“Only went for drinks the few times I've been there, so I can't rate the food. The drinks I've had have been very good. The bartenders have been very personable. I was talking with one (his name was Angel) about how I dislike Manhattan's. He made me one and I really liked it. I was very impressed.I was also there for a Makers Mark tasting. Oak & Vine has 2 Private Selections. Both are very good, but personally, the second one they made was the better of the two. If you like bourbon give them a try.“
“I loved this place! The ambiance was really cool, they had a really good playlist to match the vibe. I liked how the lightening was fairly dim too. I had the brisket sandwich and fries, which was pretty good. I will say, the brisket was a bit salty but overall the meal was pretty good & well portioned. The fries and onion rings were bomb! Especially with the side of bbq sauce. The staff was really friendly offering great service as well. I look forward to going back and trying the banana pudding next time.“
“Went to star cafe for lunch on Saturday! Place was packed and so was black cow, our server was excellant and we even met the owner! I tried the sausage and peperoni pizza which was very tasty! So glad we came as we found out they are closing for good on Monday! Thank you guys for great food and service!“
“Great place for a fried chicken sandwich. I always take it to go, but there is outside (covered) seating if you want to eat there. Their menu is posted on the main window, which is really convenient, but I would REALLY like to be able to see the cashier - they have to stoop to see out, making it awkward for both of us.“
“The food was absolutely amazing very filling. The service was amazing aswell, refills without asking and services all accommodations. The ambiance was very homey but peaceful aswell. I loved everything about this place. Will definitely be coming again loved it !“
“What a cute little hidden gem in the down town Montrose area. We were starving after a visit to Descanso Gardens and this place had photos of a cute patio seating area so we took the chance! The food was surprisingly very delicious! We shared a Reuben and a Cuban sandwich. We were disappointed to see no French fries, so we splurged on a hot pretzel! OMG it was so huge we took half of it home with us. Service was interesting- it was one bartender taking care of 3-4 tables of guests while we were there (plus a few take out orders). He did refill our drinks and checked on us twice quickly as he was grabbing stuff for other tables. We are pretty low maintenance so we were fine with it! I suspect this place is pretty packed after work for a drink and appetizers!“
“Everything about our lunch was wonderful. The menu has a nice variety of options. The service is impeccable. The dining room is very comfortable with great ambiance. The table had chairs on one side with a comfy couch on the other. The fireplace was on warming up the room.“
“If you’re looking for one of the best chicken eateries in LA, look no further. Rockbird offers chicken that once you’ve tried, it won’t be enough even though it’s massive. The chicken is moist and juicy. The flavor is savoring. Start with the chicken tenders and work your way through the menu. You wont be disappointed“
“Every once in an awhile you have an unbelievable waiter and they make your entire week and perspective on life feel better. We just moved to town and had the pleasure of being served by Nikki. We love this place! The food was great the service was exceptional and we will be coming back soon.“
“Second time trying this place and both experiences were great. The service is awesome and the food is amazing. I've tried their steak, short rib, Caesar salad, and chicken- all very tasty. They also have a really good Brussels sprout appetizer. The vibe is nice; not too quiet but not very loud either. Will definitely return...“
“This is my go-to spot for matcha pancakes. Wow they are sooo soft and delicious. Their pancakes are overall extremely filling and great. You'll most likely have food to take home. If you want the works of the traditional, basic American breakfast (eggs/bacon or sausage/potatoes and hashbrowns) then you'll need to ask if the works are extra from your order of pancakes. The lovely part of this place is that they have plenty of condiments to decorate your meal. It's a great spot for breakfast or brunch. The food is pretty darn delicious. In terms of seating, it's a little compact. They have plenty of tables both indoors and outdoors, also, they have seating with their diner bar. I've gone twice already and the wait staff are just great people. The customer service is good because they are attentive to you and your meals. Overall Bea Bea's is a great spot, just be prepared to wait if your party is big. The wait is worth it.“
“The service was great but slow we waited some between salad and the main course. Otherwise the ambiance was very warm and cozy with the pelting rain outside. Also parking was hard. Food; salmon was not as tasty as the beef. The veggies were a bit dry.“
“The best fast food can probably ever be. It’s not Five Guys but it’s pretty tasty. Get animal style on the burger and fries. Otherwise, the food tastes just a little bland. But fresh! Your animal style fries will probably be a big clumpy mess if you get them to go but they still taste good!“
“I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place before...but it is one of my favorite fried chicken places in LA. The fried chicken is absolutely in my top 5. The chicken is the star here--forget about everything else except maybe the gizzards--the chicken is why you come to Dinah's. Having said that prices have really increased here like a lot of other places these days. In four short years, the two piece lunch has gone from $7.65 to $13.60. I don't know about you but that seems a lot higher than the current inflation rate. Not picking on Dinah's, but just making a point.“
“Amazing sandwiches, very tiny store but they make the best sandwiches and sides, at this time we ordered onion rings and it was super yummy, crispy and melt in your mouth, if I could , the owner is super friendly, welcoming and helpful, and their food is like homemade, exactly the taste of motherland, definitely gonna go back and recommend to everyone!“
“Went there after work, their happy hour is good. Buy one get one free with tap beers. Blue moon, Hazy IPA and Estrella Jalisco (If you’re Mexican like me) lol. Wings were good, lemon pepper is better than buffalo here. Thanks to our server Eric, got us everything we needed, even water! Haha. Good shot selection too, took one before leaving. Overall good spot to go to, during happy hour at least. Wouldn’t know the atmosphere during the night. Small parking in the back, if you’re lucky like me you’ll find a spot. If not public parking is available at the front of the tavern or a block behind it. Will return when I’m working in the area!“
“Love their newly renovated space with an upgraded menu and full bar. Beautiful spot to hang out and have good food, drinks and hookah. Great to share appetizers. Everything was delicious! Minus 1 star because the service was very slow. Towards the end we had to ask for our bill 4 times with 4 different staff because our server did not come around. Easy parking in their private lot or on the street. I'd like to try their brunch!“
“Fantastic Sushi and Sashimi! I visited Japan in June where, of course, it doesn't get any better. The plates here took me back! The fish was fresh, delicate and handled with alot of love. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and everyone was very welcoming and hospitable. Great date Night option.“
“definitely still the reigning champs of the breakfast sandwich world! This right here is the Fairfax with no caramelized onions and I added arugula, turkey sausage, and bacon; also has their beautifully soft scrambled eggs with a slice of melted cheddar cheese and spicy mayo on a warm brioche bun! The eggs are super fluffy paired with that thick cut bacon and a turkey sausage that's never overcooked! These pairings work so well together, it's unbelievable how great of a sandwich this is! Also got an order of the truffle hash browns! Last time I was here they didn't have hash browns and it pissed me off cause they're be perfect. As I thought PERFECT and what puts them over the top is the truffle grab some with your sandwich and you'll see exactly what I mean! Cool kinda hipster place where you can have breakfast and do school work or work work on your laptop. Service was great per usual, for the girls name at the register but she was great!“
“Beautiful setting; cabanas and palms and lights on the patio. Free parking in the lot across the street. The hands down best damn pizza (Ozzy's Apizza) in LA. Crispy crust, tomatoey, not pastey sauce and fantastic thick pepperoni. Sausage with a kick. Other pizzas I leave the crust but Ozzy's is maybe the best part. Cocktails are on point.“
“An institution. I love going somewhere you know the experience is going to be just as good as the last time. Breakfast is what's up. The attached photo is the country scramble with sausage instead of bacon.Vegetarian options: Very limited.Parking: The main lot is a PITA. Park up the street or east away from the building on the curb.Kid-friendliness: Always see a ton of families in the morning on weekends. Large kids menu. Pretty rowdy so loud kids aren't necessarily an issue.Wheelchair accessibility: Both entrances are at street level. Plenty of accessible seating but it can get pretty busy and space gets tight. Bathroom has ADA requirements but is narrow. It's an older building so the laws weren't the same when it was built.“

“Excellent service and delicious food. The Oxtail breakfast skillet is flavorful with plenty of meat, yummy chile verde sauce. They serve hot and strong coffee. And the table is well-stocked with condiments, and ample creamers. Server, Adrian, was outstanding and attentive. I'll definitely be returning.“
“Came here after a hike and was in the area. Was seated right away. Service was quick and attentive. Food was amazing and was quickly served. The seasoning was one of the best we've had as we both chose the all seasonings but with different levels of spiciness. Great place to watch a game with some beers and seafood as there were plenty of tvs to view. Not too intimate of seating but still spread out enough for a date night, if not worried about being messy when eating. Definitely would go again.“
“Our first time to this beautiful restaurant . We tried the tasting menu! WOW was it amazing. Loved learning about the wines. Had the featured drink of the week by Finn. loved it. It was garnished with a petite flower. My only regret is I got full and couldn't eat it all. Thank you to Matt our server for a wonderful experience. We will definitely be back. The lobster pie was so creamy and delicious. The steak was so flavorful and tender.“
