“This place is just beautiful inside. The decor is elegant & plush. Esthetically done well! They have wine & soju cocktails. The food was great! Nice selection of apps. We enjoyed our meal. They had a band play which was kind of nice & unexpected. A good find in Glendale.“
“Super cute packaging . The flavors were very floral and fragrant . My favorites were rose and berry soooo good! I also ordered their rose latte which was delicious! Super tasty and unique , like no other rose latte I've ever had highly highly recommend! Such a cute and tasty treat. I didn't feel very bloated after it's the perfect amount of t and not too sweet :)“
“This place is divine. It is true authentic French and you feel like you've been transported to Paris when you go. The food is so finely prepared with quality ingredients and each dish is so unique and delicious. It's my new favorite!“
“I've never been disappointed with returning to this restaurant. This is my fourth time bringing friends from abroad to dine together. The menu has changed since my last visit, but the food remains delicious. My friends were impressed with the food, ambiance, and service of this place.“
“Great atmosphere, definitely a nice date place. The service was great and friendly. I didn’t have a reservation but they were able to give me a seat at the bar. I ordered the onion soup and beef tartare. Supposedly onion soup is their signature dish, but it was really salty, I was a bit disappointed…. Because it was a $20 bowl of soup. The beef tartare was excellent, it would be nice if they offer one extra slice of bread and some more salad leaves. I was happy that they have half bottle of wine that I can order. Wine list is quite nice.“
“STEPH JUDGEMENT: Charming atmosphere and good food, but slightly uneven service. We were staying at the hotel and decided to try it for breakfast. It had an adorable retro 1930s vibe going on, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I ordered a coffee and their smoked salmon and latke (same as hash browns), and was pleasantly surprised by an unexpected poached egg. The hubby ordered two scrambled eggs and "cool ranch" hash browns (basically cool ranch dust). Everything was delicious, but after the server dropped off our food she was nowhere to be seen for a while, and it took some time to settle our bill. Luckily we weren't in a hurry, and I believe they had just opened, so I'm sure the service will improve as they get their bearings. I'd definitely like to try them again when next in the area.“
“The initial attraction to this restaurant was simple. A Michelin star, and there's a cheeseburger on the menu?!? Sign me up. The decor and ambiance of the restaurant was modern, minimal, and comfortable. We were greeted with a delicious amuse bouche of creme fraiche and green onion with some sort of crunchy vessel holding it together. Then we moved onto the baguette, which, while delicious, I would probably pass on my next visit. Then came the onion tartine, which, in my opinion, was the highlight of the meal. Perfectly blistered gruyere cheese over caramelized onions and delicious fresh bread drizzled with a duck fat reduction tableside. Think of it as a perfectly executed inverted French onion soup. Then came the burger. Upon arrival, it was announced as a 50/50 blend of ribeye and duck, smoked gouda, and caramelized onions on an incredible brioche bun. I've had a lot of burgers, and none of them even came close to this one. Perfectly cooked, lovely char, and incredible flavor. We ordered the Madeira mushroom risotto as a side dish, and that was delicious as well. Every course was perfectly spaced out, and the wait staff never missed a beat. The overall experience was faultless, and I can't wait for another special occasion to return.“
“Came in with my partner and the interior was small and so it felt a bit tight, but the servers knew how to work around the space well! They were also super friendly without being overbearing and the food that we ordered was so good! I got the omurice and my partner got the hayashi dish. I preferred mine over his and their miso soup was paired really well with the omurice :)I would come back again to try their breakfast and bento mealsParking: There are paid parking lots around the area or if you’re lucky, street parking for 1-2 hoursWheelchair accessibility: I don’t think it would be easy for a wheelchair user to be able to dine inside due to the space but if they moved a few chairs around, it’s possible! They also have outdoor seating as well“
“The food was delicious and the presentation was like art, the service was excellent, and the ambience of the place itself was beautiful. Visited with a group of friends so we were able to get different plates and try from each others, didn't get to photograph all of them but so good!“
“I think this is about the best French restaurant in California or perhaps the US. This was not the intended destination, but my friend and I were extremely glad that we went, since we're Francophiles!! They feature classically French dishes, but also Italian, making it a bit of fusion cuisine. Okay, a mojito is not French, but it was one of the best I have had in a very long time! I stuck to French cuisine. Started with soup a l'onion. Delicious! A lot of gruyere and the right amount of onions, bread and soup. Next were the escargots in olive oil with a lot of garlic! Yum! Main course was the mussels! Those had to be the largest, most succulent mussels I have ever had! They came with fries, but you really didn't need them. I brought them home. Last was the Napoleon or mille feuille. Creamy! There were three layers: one with just the cream, second with strawberries, and the last with nuts. Wow! Never had one like that! The proprietor was very kind. He brought us our drinks and was very kind when we spoke to him in French. Wait staff was very courteous and we felt no pressure to eat and leave. To show how good this place was, we ended up sitting next to a well known French actor. My friend recognized him first. They say that if people of the same nationality as the restaurant dine there, it's usually a compliment to the restaurant and a testament of the food. Well, that may be so, but we Francophiles will definitely be dining again at this restaurant! Merci beaucoup!“
“1st time coming to WeHo Bistro and will definitely be coming back. Our waiter was super friendly and gave excellent recommendations. We celebrated my younger sister's birthday and sitting outside surrounded by the lights was absolutely the cherry on top.“
“✔️Waiting : I went right when it opened at 8 AM, but there was already a long line and I waited for about 30 minutes. I picked some bread and ordered a brunch menu and a café latte.✔️Atmosphere : The interior atmosphere was really cool and it felt like I was in Europe. I was quite surprised to hear that the building was established by Charlie Chaplin.✔️Food : The breads were more ordinary than I expected, and the brunch menu (Eggs Benedict) was delicious. The café latte was strong with espresso, but Urth Caffé was tastier."“
“They have moved to a new location. I loved the new location it's more spacious, the only thing I missed is the live tv they had in their previous location where you could see the chef preparing the food. The food was good as usual. Loved the garlic bread. As I am not drinking alcohol the bar tender was able to customize a drink for me, i really appreciate that. They have a nice list of cocktail and some amazing wines. Risotto was nice and creamy.“
“I found the dining experience disappointing overall. The bacon and polenta lacked flavor and presentation, especially considering the hefty price tag of $7 on the bacon. The French toast was overcooked and had a wet, eggy center. However, the chocolate almond croissant stood out. The homemade blueberry coffee cake was dry and lacked flavor. While the portions were generous, the quality didn't justify the $40+ per person price. On the brighter side, the hazelnut cookie was a highlight, especially when warmed up. The beignet lacked flavor and had a dense texture reminiscent of a donut, rather than the desired lightness. The fries and aioli were enjoyable, offering a satisfying combination.Despite the culinary disappointments, Sarah, the owner, was exceptional, and the interior decoration provided a stunning backdrop for a group gathering. While the food may not have been memorable, the ambiance and company can make the experience worthwhile. It all depends on your preference and priority for brunching.“
“My sister and I had the most incredible meal of our lives. Every single bite was decadent. We felt swept away to the French county side. The service was 5 stars and the chef came to our table at the end of the meal. The staff was so authentic and professional. This might be my favorite resturant in California.“
“It's been some years since I last dined at Shiro, and I was so delighted that it has fully maintained its superlative status as a first rate restaurant experience on every level. Shiro offers casually elegant dining in a handsome, intimate and stylish storefront in a historic district in South Pasadena. The French-Asian menu offers amazing creations and flavors that will entice and satisfy. My husband had an appetizer consisting of the plumpest, most tasty pan-fried oysters imaginable, as well as a wonderfully seasoned uni pasta. I had sea bass in a rich sauce over Japanese eggplant. The service is impeccable, from the initial greeting and seating to the server and helpers. It is friendly, caring and professional. We will certainly not wait years until our next visit.“
“The food was amazing and the atmosphere was so beautiful! I have no complaints about the location or the service. I did not find the lava cake dessert anything too special but the rolls were so delicious! I had the lamb and my husband had the stew and the presentation for the food was beautiful, it was almost too pretty to eat. It is worth trying out for a very romantic date - don’t waste it on someone casual.“
“I only write reviews when I am impressed by a place or let down. I didn't think that I would enjoy this burger as much as I did. We went there specifically for the Big Mec and it did not disappoint. The sauce was so flavorful and the burger was perfectly cooked. I'm not a big burger person, but I LOVED it! Even though it is on the pricer side, it is definitely worth it! We went on a weekend, and though the place was packed, the service was really good and we got our food fast. It is a smaller place, but it is very cute and you can watch the chefs cooking your food. It is definitely something you should put on your list!“
“We found this place on Yelp when searching for a good brunch spot in the area. We ordered a few chef recommendations including the spicy southern fried chicken burger, peach salad (my friend), spaghetti and a few others. The burger is great and the bun is slightly crispy which is exactly I am looking for in a gourmet burger. The sauce is well balanced with a slight tanginess. I wish the side fried potatoes could be a little more though.I also ordered an Americano. Interestingly they served you a shot of espresso and let yourself add hot water to your like. Appreciate the touch. The place can get busy on a weekend. We only called 15 mins prior to our arrival without reservation, and were pleasantly surprised we had a seat once we checked in.“
“Over the years, Petrossian has remained so consistent with their offerings of not just luxe caviar, but other foodstuffs as well, with great supporting sauces, creams, desserts, etc. Since the pandemic there's a bit of cutting back, though not where it really counts for me. I do miss getting their print catalogs, but their online presence is good and stacks up well against those of other caviar purveyors“
“Oriel is a modern wine bar/bistry that serves french food. The food is simple but tasty and the service is great. They have a pretty good sized wine list and a lot of food options as well. The atmosphere is great, with a cozy patio and interior. This is a lovely gem tucked in the quieter part of Chinatown and is a great spot to catch up with friends or for a date night. Tons of easy parking right in front of the restaurant and it’s located under the train line by the Chinatown metro station.“
“in love with this spot, i’m here at least once a week. The staff is so fun and great at what they do. Great place to people watch outside or get cozy in the lounge. My favorite things to order are the chicken, seafood pasta, or french onion soup, but honestly everything is great“
“The nicest people and adorable little French Cafe! I mistakenly thought it was vegan/vegetarian from a Google search but despite having meat they had many options for me and were so lovely and accommodating in making recommendations. A wonderful accidental find after a beautiful Glendale hike. Highly recommend!“
“I'm always excited to try a French restaurant. My favorite soup is French onion soup, so of course I had to try it at Taix. It was perfection! The broth was rich and the onions were tender and wonderfully caramelized. And the melted cheese! So good! I had the creme brulee for dessert (one of my favorite desserts). Unfortunately the top was way too burnt, and the bitterness really over-powered the custard. That was disappointing. I had to avoid eating the blackened parts which was most of the top. If I go back, I hope they will accept a request to go easy on the brulee. The waitress was lovely! <3“
“Definitely have to order several items and share them with the table, the food is absolutely delicious and it's incredibly difficult to describe how amazing it was but it was one of my top experiences, I don't know how I will ever top this restaurant.“
“Excellent service and food the triple cheese burrito is one of the best breakfast burritos I’ve had. Service is also quick and staff is always friendly and accommodating. Would highly recommendParking: Parking behind the building is convenient and free“
“My favorite restaurant in ALL of Los Angeles. The owners used to be at Cafe Beaujolais in Eagle Rock and have taken all of their excellence with them to Enter Nous. If you want an exceptional restaurant experience, old school, like you find in places on the East Coast or in Europe this is it. Honored reservations, professional hosts and wait staff, and food consistently created with excellence and pride. I've tried a few different dishes - all fantastic- but their filet mignon is the best I've every had, and worth every penny. (Better steak than from the New York Grill in Tokyo and just as good as anything I've ever had at Peter Lugers). I also like that the tip is included in the bill. I've had nothing less than professional attentive service here and if I ever didn't I feel the owners are the type of restaurateurs who would go out of their way to make it right. Love this place!“
“Sweet Lily in LA's Culver City is a delightful French bakery that brings a taste of Paris to the heart of California. This charming bakery offers a delectable array of pastries, bread, and treats that are sure to satisfy any sweet tooth. From flaky croissants to decadent éclairs, each bite is a heavenly experience. The cozy ambiance and friendly staff add to the inviting atmosphere, making Sweet Lily the perfect spot to indulge in a delicious pastry and a cup of coffee. Whether you're craving a classic French treat or looking to try something new, Sweet Lily is a must-visit destination for pastry lovers in Culver City.THIS IS ALI NOOR & THIS IS MY REVIEW“
“I am not exaggerating when I say that I have never had better customer service in any environment in my life, and that is saying something. From the host to all of the servers and even the valets. Every single person was utterly delightful and helpful. The food was also lovely.“
“The St. Patrick's Day menu was my first experience with Tesse's all-you-can-eat Sunday offering. Admittedly, Tesse is not the sort of restaurant that comes to mind as an all-you-can-eat option but, in this case, it really works. The service was incredibly gracious and welcoming and the ability to graze through a sampling of offerings was a great experience. Significantly, Tesse's kitchen is superb; the flavor profiles were excellent. Every dish had great visual presentation. In short, an especially well-run, friendly restaurant that is a genuine area treasure.“
“A not-so-hidden gem in LA! Definitely one of the best meals, experiences, and service I've had. The food is incredible, especially the Kaspia #3 fried chicken and caviar. It has a cool story behind it too. The bar program perfectly compliments the menu and elevates the craft cocktail game. The overall experience was 10/10. I HIGHLY recommend. Huge shoutout to Ben, Jake, and Chelsie.“
“I stopped here for breakfast before going to Universal Studios Hollywood as it's located so close. I really enjoyed the food and atmosphere! This is a cute little French cafe. The decor was very thoughtful with French flags and cozy seats. I wish it was night time as it looked like they have lovely fairy lights for the evenings. The person at the register was friendly and our food was fresh made and probably took about 20 minutes to arrive. I ordered the alpine tartine without bacon and it was DIVINE. I really enjoyed it and the mix of Brie, sour cream, egg, potatoes, and bread. I did add some hot sauce and pepper but it was very good. I appreciate the side salad to balance out the heaviness. I did not have space for their pastries but they looked amazing. I will say the one major downside is that they did not have espresso or specialty drinks when I visited which I found disappointing. I got a canned cold coffee which was okay. I would've loved a latte or cappuccino to pair with my breakfast.“
“Fantastic evening yesterday at Garçons de Café, downtown Los Angeles, for a special event with Chef of Cafe Leza. Whenever you come, you will find a curated selection of French wine (and wine from all around the world) and the owner, Mathieu, will help you to pair it with delicious cheese and charcuterie plates. No wonder it is called « your extension living-room ». I will come back!“
“House of Cocotte was a great experience! Plenty of 1-hour (non-metered) street parking was available on a Saturday around noon which was pleasantly surprising. The restaurant itself is quite charming on the inside, with colorful accents, soft couches, and a rustic atmosphere. The servers were very attentive and friendly. Sardines - very delicious canned sardines with buttered toasted baguette! It was my first time having olives that were not pickled and I loved them! They were refreshing in contrast to the savoriness of the sardines. We felt that the dish had adequate portions. Avocado toast - I was intrigued by the goat cheese on the avocado toast, but I would say, this was probably one of the dishes that were less flavorful. The toast itself was topped with arugula and a citrus-like dressing, but otherwise the avocado on top did not taste well-seasoned. Toast was nice and crunchy but I would opt for another dish unless you're a huge fan of avocado toast. Parisian sandwich - Good flavor, french fries were crispy and surpringly light and fluffy! I loved the tiny pickles both inside and outside of the sandwich. Parisian Croque Monsieur - The bechamel sauce is definitely the star of the dish as it was a primary flavor, but the sandwich itself was soft, gooey, and flavorful. The salad was a great complement to the dish as it provided a lighter touch with the heavier sandwich. Great overall experience! Seemed like a fun place to host a party in one part of the restaurant (with mimosas!)“
“Why didn't we take pictures of all of the delicious food? Idk, but probably because we were hungry and decided to drive in instead. Everything looked good, so we shared items instead of choosing only one. This is absolutely the way to go here, btw. Grab some friends and take them out. Chicken salad sandwich: very good! I had never thought to include sundried tomatoes in my chicken salad sandwiches, but now I'm never going to have one without! The sandwich comes with a side of chips or salad. We opted for salad. The dressing (a creamy balsamic) was very good. Veggie spinach crepe, with mushrooms added: excellent. This crepe was cheesy without being too cheesy, and the addition of the mushroom was fantastic. I'm not usually a big fan of cooked spinach, but it really worked here. Paris Special crepe: rich and creamy and delicious! Nice cheese distribution, moist chicken chunks, and lots of mushrooms. Too many olives for my personal preference, but it's not like they don't tell you there are olives in it. I did not count this against the crepe. It was otherwise wonderful. Chicken spinach crepe: like the Paris Special, good cheese distribution, delicious chicken, tasty mushrooms, and the spinach worked particularly well here. The sauce was fantastic. Royal crepe: nutella + chocolate + strawberries + banana. Is there anyway this isn't the best thing you've put in your mouth? This combination is always a winner, and it was a winner here, as well. YUM.You order at the counter, then take a seat. The staff will bring the food out to you when it's ready, and it doesn't take long. The shop is really cute - the stamped tin ceiling is darling, the dangling lights (at varying length) add charm, and there is a giant Costco teddy bear in the window. Idk why, but I also don't care if there is no reason for this at all - it's awesome and he's super cute. Prices were very reasonable. Service was quick. I would definitely return.“
“Walked by it for years and only recently tried it. So good. Had a special of white asparagus soup which was delicious. I had their strip which was well prepared. Our server was lovely and great at directing us. Lovely little. Spot. Reservations are strongly recommended.“
“Service was excellent and food was pretty good. We came during happy hour and were pleased with the half price burgers although very messy. A nice quick meal if you’re attending a show at the nearby theatre.Parking: Underground paid lot- Culver Steps Garage or valet at the hotel“
“We've been lucky enough to dine at providence, vespertine and meteora and they're really the best comparison for the food and service. The evening was impeccable. Mysteriously, the place was almost empty on a Tuesday—for foodies who want a quietly luxurious dinner and some of the best cocktails around in a beautiful space, snag a Tuesday spot and treat yourself before this place catches on. Sorry if I sound exaggerated; still on a bit of a high from a wonderful evening.“
“Delectable culinary-grade pastries and desserts. All are vegan and they fill the hole that was missing in the vegan dessert field. Now with gluten-free options. Perfection!Vegetarian options: All veganDietary restrictions: Non-dairy, no eggs, with gluten-free options“
“Worth a visit, especially if you’re staying at the Biltmore bc this is literally right outside their doors essentially. I got a breakfast sandwich and iced latte. Total was about $25 so definitely not a cheap place, but pretty good. I loved the rustic interior. They have a wine bar too so overall it just felt like a good spot to chill. Also, I asked for a straw and was told they don’t have them, so just keep that in mind!“
“This is a really charming local breakfast and lunch spot. The inside is very cute with lots of pink accents. We came for breakfast and the choice of pastries and breakfast dishes was excellent. I had waffles with Nutella and strawberries which was different from my usual breakfast choice. It was so good I would definitely recommend to anyone. All the staff was moving quickly and brought the food to our table. They also had an outside seating area that was enclosed with a heater because of the cool weather the weekend we were there. It is a little difficult to find as it is located in a plaza setting. Definitely worth the stop here!“
“A lovely nook offering an oasis amongst the bustle of Beverly Blvd. Marvin greets its visitors with a smattering of unique wines to choose from and aroma's of food who's taste outperforms even the heavenly smells. The service was quick and attentive, with genuine insight into what dishes are most spectacular. We enjoyed the Burrata Toast and Spicy Vodka Rigatoni. The Burrata Toast was a simple, yet decadent must have.Sitting at the bar was an intimate way to enjoy this lovely restaurant. I will certainly return!“
“What a great find. Not many French restaurants in LA and this is a gem. Classic French menu and everything we tried was delicious. While we live a distance from the restaurant, it's so good we'll make the trip to enjoy this place again and again.“
“This was a very good experience for my partner na do. We are not French food experts but I will say the food was quite authentic and would recommend their fish dishes the most. I had salmon over cream sauce, accompanied by squash with tomatoes and snow peas. Everything was fresh and delicious. The atmosphere is great and service was among the kindest I can recall. I will recommend this place to friends and family. Any comments on parking are beyond the control of this restaurant. It’s in busy location but you know that going in. The onion soup was also very good but one serving was easy shared with two people.“
“I've been to Harlowe a few times but only when it's a bar and have always enjoyed the vibe there. This time, a friend and I decided to go for dinner. We heard there was a new chef and the menu had changed so we decided to give it a try and we're so happy we did! We started off with the hummus board, which was amazing and chef Alex told us he makes the hummus from scratch. For the main dish, I ordered the burger which was perfectly sized especially for a multi course meal. Lastly, Alex recommended the gelato for dessert. There are three different flavors, and each has their own distinct taste and texture, and are delicious! Highly recommend the "We Are All Mad Here" cocktail to sip on while enjoying Chef Alex's food. Come check it out!“
“Took my girlfriend here for a Valentine's dinner - incredible & unique menu, really cool ambiance in terms of watching the food be made, and great experience talking to the chef and the service staff. I'd say it's a bit pricey and the corkage fee was INSANE ($75 + a 20% gratuity on top of that), but for such a unique experience i'd still recommend. I'd recommend doing the research on this restaurant and understanding its appeal as the price point won't make it a great pick for everyone.“
“This place is amazing the food the owners the staff really all around amazing place and really really great food and the pastry forget about it it's amazing I hope you guys stay in business for many years to come and keep up the great work that you are doing. The ambience is great feels great to be outside“
“Ok wow! Never thought a French restaurant would offer so many delicious vegan options! First off it's beautiful inside and outside.Ordered a few starters, because I couldn't choose one of course. The Corn Fritters with a Calabrian Chili Aioli, Summer Squash and a new seasonal dish, the Roasted Beet Salad. Both the Summer Squash and Beet Salad were served perfectly cold and you could tell everything was freshly prepared. I'm a beet lover so this dish looked too perfect to eat, but I couldn't stop digging in after the first bite. Same with the Summer Squash, if I was served vegetables this was when I was younger, I would have been plant based sooner. The Corn Fritters were really tasty, especially with that Calabrian Chili Aioli. A nice crunch on the edges too! The main dish was the Cavatelli, which you can order without the Parmesan. Such a delicious pasta that I would actually order again. The noodles, spinach and mushrooms always work so well together and the way they prepared this dish was done so beautifully. Art is served here forsure.“
“What a great evening. I think my experience was a bit unique. Friday 6pm before Mother's Day. We got lucky to be the only reservation... ya the only people in the restaurant. Completely dark room with us in the center celebrating Mother's Day. I'm shocked they stayed open for us. They truly made it special for my wife. Our server was amazing and attentive, she went out of her way. Brought my wife chocolate, wrote her a Mother's Day card and guided us through it the experience. Food I would give 4 starts, it was flavorful and presentation was great but just a bit too over sauced for me personally.“
“In search of a good french pastry place in the LA area so drove here to try it. Overall 3.5/5 Mixed Berry Tart 4.5/5 Strawberry Pistachio Croissant 4/5 Butter Croissant 4/5 Kouign Amann - 2/5 If you live in the area, definitely a good pastry store that's close to home.“
