I got the two item combo with garlic naan, and I had plenty of food to take home afterwards. Service was awesome, the owners are super friendly, and food came out fast.“

“Wow! This is such an amazing and unique concept! I love the frankies selection from the menu. I tried Chicken Tikka Masala Frankie and Crispy Frisch Frankie and I’m satisfied! The frankies are made from naan which was freshly baked and the fish and chicken were nicely cooked and overall it was amazing! Reasonable pricing for the size of the food. Amazing service from the business and highly recommended to try if your looking for something new!“

My kids needed to use the bathroom, and unfortunately, we were told no. “One of the best meals I’ve had recently in LA. Everything ordered was prepared excellently and the service was friendly and on point. The lamb biryani was a standout for our party. The only bit of criticism is that the dining room is obnoxiously loud and it was difficult to have a conversation. The acoustics are terrible.

“We always look forward to Baar Baar but they truly had the A-team working tonight. We tried a couple dishes for the first time (SWEET POTATO CHAT and CHICKEN CHETTINAD) in addition to our normal go-tos (CAULIFLOWER 65, SELECTION OF INDIAN CURRIES, rice, and garlic naan). We were lucky enough to have the bar manager / beverage director running the bar that night and the cocktails were even better (didn't know that was possible tbh) than usual. I continue to think Baar Baar is one of the best restaurants in the city and is consistently underrated (however well rated it is).“

“I've been going to Gill's for years. Everything I've had here has been over the top good. The flavors are amazing. The tandoori chicken is perfectly seasoned and smoky. All the curry based dishes are incredibly tasty. The coconut chicken is spot on. The average dish is $12-$15...what a deal! The restaurant is way in the back of the very old Stillwell Hotel. I happened to walk in once when they were unloading their groceries. LOTS of boxes of fresh produce. Not a bunch of canned and frozen stuff. That explains a lot of why the food is so good here. If you like Indian food, this is the place to go...and such a bargain!“
