“I've been here twice and have been pleasantly surprised both times. The ambiance is amazing. Clean, neat and happy. The staff on both occasions were superb. Fast and speedy service. On the second visit the place was full and yet the waitress didn't miss a beat. Cool calm and collective. The food is well proportioned and delicious. My hubby always orders either a beef caldo or chicken. He was pleased on both visits. I always stick to different types of breakfasts that are typical to our culture. They didn't disappoint. We will continue to visit this spot. Thank you for such a gem of a place. Blessings to you all.“

“We were looking for a Mexican place and stopped at La Bamba. This is our first time at this location. The decor is interesting. Looks like a south of the border place, every t.v. was tuned to a different station and mostly Spanish. My husband ordered some k ind of pork dish, sorry I can't remember but it was so tender and delicious. I ordered the spicy shrimp camarones ala diabla and got 14 tasty shrimp, rice, great sauce and salad. The food was great, the service was efficient and good. WE WILL BE BACK“

“Ordered for pick up: Pupusas Pasteles Fried yucca and chicharron I must admit I was apprehensive about ordering from here given the lackluster stars and reviews. My usual spot was closed and I literally called 6 other places on the 1st of Jan and they were all closed as well. Arcense was the only one open ... Pupusas were actually really good. Not too thick or greasy. Well, the chicharron and cheese was but that's to be expected. The beans with cheese were a FAVE! Folks were really really surprised by how good the yucca and pork was, so that was a hit too. Maybe they got a new cook or new management, who knows, but I was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was.“

“I ordered pupusas, cheese, beans and cheese, and beans, cheese and chicharrones. The pupusas were delicious and served with curtido and the tomato sauce. They are fairly large and would recommend perhaps 2 per person at most. Now if you’re extra hungry, try the plátanos with beans and “crema”. They were delicious. The young woman who took my order over the phone was super friendly. My to go had napkins, silverware, and everything was packed neatly. I’d definitely recommend you try the food.“

“What a delicious spot. The restaurant appeared clean with a few tables for sit down. I ordered pupusas de chicharrón and queso. I loved the texture of the crunchy pupusa from being slightly fried. It was a nice and light, delicate crunch. The cheese and chicharrón filling was flavorful. Putting tomato salsa and curtido on top was great too. I love picked cabbage curtido!! Also got 2 chicken tamales. These are made with slices of potato, two different chile peppers and chicken. They were melty tender (not spicy!) I had their fried plantain, beans and sour cream. The fried bananas were perfectly soft and sweet! Oh, I loved them! To drink, I ordered their home made horchata. That was really impressive. I think they toasted some kind of nut, maybe almonds and blended that together with the rice. It was very tasty, and not too sweet! Very nicely balanced flavors and seasoning. All that food and my drink cost me $27. I honestly thought that was a GREAT price. This is a lovely place! Be sure to stop by. The husband and wife are the business owners and were very nice :)“

Best tasting food is always found in a sketchy neighborhood. We parked in a spacious parking lot, greeted by a lots of smiles from the staff, the clean restaurant had a clean restroom and lots of dining space. This restaurant would've done well during the Covid-19 pandemic if it required social distancing. My family is actually from El Salvador, so seeing this restaurant was appealing and was there go-to. “I loved this place, we arrived from Sacramento and found this place here on Maps, we tried our luck and without a doubt we did NOT regret anything, the service, the atmosphere and above all the food is 10. I leave what we ordered so you can see it!“

“I love the platanos and platano de empanadas, is my go to! Pupusas are great. Curtido is great, made the traditional way! I recommend you call in to place your order. Is not that they are slow is just the food is great they get tons of orders. I love that its clean inside too. Yeah its located in not the best street but never been a problem for me. I recommend this place!“

“If you’re looking for authentic Salvardorian food, I’d say this is it. Menu seems a bit basic but did not disappoint. I had popusas and a elote tamale. The tamale was delicious and moist. The popusas were made fresh, but didn’t wow me. I noticed a B rating which made me worry. Atmosphere is authentic and homy.“
