“I went to Plaza Mexico and was in the mood for Peruvian food. I saw many people seated at Big Chicken and had to try it out. There are many options for food at Plaza Mexico, but this is one of the only locations with a seating area in the downstairs section. The lomo saltado was very good and I would definitely recommend it for people not familiar with Peruvian food. My friend got the Tallarin Verde and she said it was really good. Their menu is pretty extensive , featuring ceviches and other traditional Peruvian dishes. They also give you complimentary chicken soup while you wait which I think is very nice of them. I definitely think it's worth visiting if you're in the area or simply just in the mood for some good Lomo Saltado.“

“Walking Santee Alleys makes you hungry and Mex Peru Gipsy is EXCELLENT, 5 star for food and service. My family ordered a little bit of everything - the gotta has a chipotle sauce which brings together the flavors perfectly. The menudo was authentic and they bring out all the condiments. The lomo saltado and tallarín was perfect. The serve is fast and friendly as if you're eating with family. Everyone here takes great pride in what they serve. Worth driving to even if you're not shopping the alleys.“

“I went to the 7-11 next door and walked past this place. I looked on Yelp and noticed the awesome lunch specials. I decided to try it out. I ordered the aji de gallina to try. They gave me the lunch special price so it was awesome! It came with bread + butter, soup, soda/drink, and the entree. It was a lot of food! I was so full even after the soup! The aji de gallina is good but reminded me of a tuna casserole. Waitress was nice and it was a hole in the wall joint.“

“Really nice waiter attended us. We came here because loaded cafe had nobody attending guests. It was a cute little typical hispanic place. Restroom is through the kitchen which is pretty unhygienic but whatever. Fresh ingredients and food was flavorful except for the eggs but overall solid. Pupusas were huge but I didn't try them.“

“My go to spot for delivery , I've only ate once inside but usually I order for delivery and they never miss ! I always get the chicken with fries and the amount of fries they give you is wonderful ! The taste of the chicken is very Smokey but it isn't overpowering the ají sauce I always order extra the spice level is great I'm use to spicy salsas , foods I enjoy the level of this ají sauce .“

We were looking for a restaurant that was sort of in the middle of us and friends in Whittier. And I am incredibly glad we find it. Their food is really good. The restaurant had tons of seating and I love the decor, and the staff is so nice! I ordered the lomo saltado, my husband ordered the aji de gallina and our friend ordered the chaufa marisco. We were all so happy with our meals!! And A+ for a kids menu! I cannot wait to go back the next time I am in town.“

“Came in on my lunch break to meet up with a friend. I ordered for both of us and was told I could sit anywhere. We ordered (2) Saltado de Pollo lunch specials and (2) papa relleno. They brought us chicken rice soup which was hot and perfect for the cold day. The saltado de pollo was absolutely delicious. I had a side of pickled onions which were the perfect touch. There was a problem with the papas but the lady behind the counter was quick to solve the problem and was very apologetic. Bummed we couldn't stay longer to enjoy because we had to get back to work. Service was great, food was delicious and I'll definitely be back to try other dishes.“

“The bread and sauces were good. I had the Saltado chicken which was underwhelming. The flavor was decent, but the chicken was like rubber. I saw that it was chicken breast which might explain why it was so dry. Chicken thigh would have worked better. It was so bad that I stopped eating it. Maybe the cook had a bad day. My friend ordered the same thing except she got beef. It did taste better. I also ordered agua de maracuyá which was delicious. If there is a next time I'll try something different. I did notice other people enjoying their food. The wait staff was attentive and the restaurant was acojedor (cozy).“

“Rikas Peruvian restaurant is like the 5th or 6th Peruvian restaurant I've been to in LA. It's interesting because it's located in Koreatown. But this little Peruvian restaurant packs a bunch. I enjoyed it a lot. It's like classic Peruvian comfort food. If you guys haven't tried their ceviche mixto, it is a must try. It's probably the best Peruvian ceviche I'd had in LA. Nice fresh raw fish, and the sourness to the juice was just about right. Their chaufa pollo, or chicken fried rice, was also another knockout. It's safe to say that this is the best fried rice I've had outside of any Asian restaurant. Haha. Their lomo saltado was also pretty solid. Great sauce, fries, and steak. In all, I would highly recommend Rikas if you are in town. It is one of the best Peruvian restaurants in the area. You'll feel so great after eating the food here. “Pretty low key spot. Simple tables , kinda sparse design but clean and comfortable. Good service, but low key. Food was solid. Had the mixed Ceviche and it was solid. I'm a ceviche connoisseur, but this was comparable to what I'd generally get in Lima. On a really tough scale as someone who has tried some of the best ceviche recipes you come across in multiple countries, I give it a 7.5-8 out of 10. Really, good, deserving of a 9 out of 10 on an l LA Peruvian ceviche scale. It was served the very traditional way I don't often see outside of Peru. Good spot if you like Peruvian food. “I ordered the rotisserie Peruvian chicken. It was seasoned to perfection. It comes with a large salad and french fries. The chicken is five out of five stars and the salad is fresh. The fries poorly seasoned and taste fresh out of the freezer and a true disappointment. I have ordered take out four times and I am very surprised the place very clean , a bit run down, but near empty. I believe the $27 rotisserie chicken dinner special is over priced for the local market.“

“After a long day of movies and shopping at the towne center, This is my favorite place to go. The Chaufa de pollo is AMAZING. I always get extra green sauce to mix in with the Chaufa and it's just delightful. The service is always great, even when there a long line the workers are always kind.
