“What a hidden gem! We recently went to PPQ in Millbrae with our family to celebrate a birthday and everything was so delicious.

Must order: the Imperial Rolls, Fried Peppercorn Tofu, Salted Egg Yolk Chicken Wings, their famous CRAB, Garlic Noodles, String Beans and Crab Fried Rice. To top it all off, they even serve Mitchell’s Ice Cream for dessert!

It’s the perfect spot for a family style dinner with something for everyone.

The owner, Tin, is absolutely a delight. He is so genuine and welcoming. The service was amazing from start to finish.

We had such a wonderful time and will definitely be back! I already miss their imperial rolls and fried tofu!!”

“We do mostly takeout here and keep returning because the food is great. My family’s general assessment is that their sushi is better than most in the area. But I wanted to highlight their excellent customer service. We had ordered a 3 item bento box in one of orders and one item was forgotten. When it was brought to their attention by phone, they reimbursed the entire bento box, no questions asked. Good customer service is hard to find these days and just wanted to make sure they were recognized for that on top of the great food!”

The Peter’s homemade sausage was very delicious. It’s unique too becos this sausage is flat! The latte was very nice too.

Still gave 5 stars, perhaps it is not always that way.”

It has bbq chicken, Korean short rib and kalbi. I obviously got it with the macaroni salad. Across from in and out burger. I would much rather have scratch cooked food than a burger meal for $12. You wont be disappointed”

“We walked in a little after 6 without realizing they had already closed — total facepalm moment. The owner was counting the register and clearly wrapping up for the night, and we felt awful. But instead of turning us away, he kindly took our order and made us feel completely welcome.
You could tell he was ready to go home, yet he still treated us with so much warmth and patience. That kind of genuine hospitality is rare. We’ll definitely be back — and next time, we promise to check the hours first.”

(I initially thought it was $88 per person and was overly disappointed, but found out later it was $88 for all of us ?).We ended up ordering 3 other dishes, which brought our total closer to $200, but it was not bad. Everyone enjoyed the food.”

“A neighborhood jam truly one of a kind hole in the wall place. If you want authentic Japanese kaiseki this is the go to spot. We came here to celebrate a graduation for a party of two. Everything was great!

The restaurant is cozy, and the owners are true Japanese chefs and very hospitable. You can choose the main course, but these are mostly set menus. Everything was properly planned with the quality ingredients that were refresh and tasty. Nothing overly powerful that would mask the true freshness of their ingredients which I absolutely loved.

The standouts were definitely the duck salad starter and the main sashimi plate for me.

Reservation recommended. Easy to park around the neighborhood.

Solid food - quality ingredients, mellow ambience, friendly service. Elegant plating and love the variety of their chefs menu. This time the highlight was the dessert: housemade red bean jelly and matcha mochi.

It was worth the drive and we will definitely be back again. Each dish is unique and they also have gluten free options as well as requested options. (My f5 year old is Gluten free).The bamboo and mushroom dish had a hint of sweetness with an undertone of spice, the Chong qing 🌶spicy chicken was mouth watering, along with the eggplant 🍆 dish, dry stir fried fish, and glass noodles with pork! I enjoyed every dish and my kids enjoyed their shrimp fried rice dish and greens as well. Our family is a foodie family and we love ❤️ traveling far and near to try dishes from around the world. “Home town style Chinese Cha Cheng Tang. If you know what that is then you will like it. Nothing fancy. Bring your teens here when you don’t feel like cooking dinner. It’s HK comfort food to the max.”

“First time trying Laka! I was really craving Hainan chicken, so I ordered half a roasted pork and half a Hainan chicken to go. Overall, the food was really good, and I’ll definitely be back! The gentleman who carved the roasted pork was also very kind, which I appreciated.

Just a heads-up for first-timers: the minimum order for roasted pork is half a pound, so you can’t order just a quarter pound. ( in case u try to order for 1 )

My only real complaint is the ginger sauce. For half a chicken, they only provided one container, which I felt wasn’t enough. When I asked for an extra one, I was told it would cost $1. Honestly, I think 50 cents would be more reasonable for a small container of sauce, especially when you’re already ordering a meal to go. I had also left a tip on my takeout order, so being charged another dollar for extra ginger sauce felt a little disappointing.

The food is delicious, and the service was kind for the butcher, the lady could have been more kinder but I wish they were a little more generous with the ginger sauce or included at least two containers with half a chicken. It’s a small detail, but it would make the takeout experience so much better! Total cost $32 takeout”

“Really enjoyed Little Chengdu. We had the spicy pot fish and Sichuan spicy beef, and the spicy, numbing flavor of the Sichuan cuisine was definitely on point. The spice level felt authentic rather than toned down.

The spicy pot fish was especially good. The fish was grilled before going into the pot, which gave it a really nice flavor, and the vegetables soaked up the broth and spices really well. The lotus root was probably my favorite part.

The Sichuan spicy beef leaned more toward that numbing mala heat, in a very good way. We also got the sour berry drink, which was refreshing and paired really well with all the spicy food.

Staff were friendly too. Would definitely come back when craving properly spicy Sichuan food.”

“Five stars for the Cantonese roast pork. We drive out from SF every time we want or need roast pork for anything. The skin is crisp without being tough. They use prime cuts of pork belly - you can see the five layers in the 五花腩, and they use thick cuts of it, with great balance of meat and fat. Reheats great in the toaster oven too, no need to air fry reheat for the skin to be crispy when reheating. All the other Cantonese things on their menu are solid too, but the roast pork is the star here. Top of class.”

“What a lovely find! Han Sang is a welcoming Korean restaurant serving beautifully prepared, authentic food.

I ordered the Combo Suyuk and the Han Sang Guk Bap, and both were fantastic. The beef was beautifully tender, and the spicy soup was rich, comforting, and packed with flavour. You can really appreciate the care that goes into the cooking.

The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and welcoming, making the whole experience even more enjoyable.

“We were disappointed with our previous favorite Sichuan restaurant on our second visit there. We found this Michelin recommended restaurant as a replacement. We were very impressed. The quality was on par with the best restaurants in Asia, which is a rarity in the US. The beautifully photographed menu made item selection easy. The veggies even turned out better than the picture in the menu. They truly deserve all those awards on their wall. We will make it our regular chinese restaurant from now on.

I usually order from here when I am craving for a quality refreshing drink, since the ingredients they use here are premium and authentic. I believe everything here is made or order which is always a plus for me since it is quality over quantity. I highly recommend this place to all boba enthusiasts, if you need a refreshing drink, to anyone willing to try something new, make a visit here when it is hot outside or if you just so happen to be in the area to check them out. “Came here for a late lunch today and the food was fantastic. I ordered the beef stew with tendon at a “very mild” and it was amazing. The tendons were very soft, not overcooked or undercooked. The beef chunks were tender and juicy. The waiter was friendly and continuously refilled our water.

We also ordered the dim sum sampler and it comes with two xiaolongbao, two har gow, and two shu mai with shrimp. Perfect to share with two or three people. Each piece was cooked perfectly, skin was soft and not too sticky.

“Love this place. I have been coming here for over 20 years. the salt and pepper chicken wings/pork chops are awesome. the spicy seafood with fresh hand pull noodles are the best. The family also love the scrambled eggs and shrimp. Everything is really good, the only thing I don't like from them is the fried salt and pepper fish. That could use some work, but I would recommend everything else. The service can be a little slower when they are busy with take out orders. It's kinda of typical hole in the wall chinese restaurant. Its is dated, so don't expect anything fancy. The other thing that always keeps me coming back is the kimchi!! It's fresh made in house. It's not sour or to vinegary. They don't sell it though, it's just a free appetizer. Oh which reminds me, the kimchi fried rice is excellent as well.”

The chicken was hot and flavorful and the lettuce was cool and refreshing.”

“Chicken Pho You is a small hole in the wall restaurant right along Broadway in Millbrae. Super convenient parking, and it was quite busy during the morning hours!
They have a few breakfast sets to choose from, and they're all very reasonably priced. I ended up getting the satay beef noodle, a classic Cantonese dish. There was a good amount of beef, and it delivered flavor wise!”

Whenever I walked in the store, the coconut milk fragrance brought me right back to Vietnam. This exact Bambu in Milbrae is my fav. I think they make the dessert better than the other location near Stonestown Galleria in SF. My go-to order is number 10 Bambu Special or something like that. The chewy pandan jelly and the red water chestnut jelly in number 10 is the best combo 🤤🤤”

“Love having this coffee shop in town with the open window seating. The seating layout of the tables are little awkward only because when all the seats are full the chairs sticking out from the back tables impede the path to the water station due to having the long bench on the wall.”

I visited at opening time with a few questions regarding their drinks and the staff was very friendly and helpful!

Christy/Kristie helped me to add a modification on my online order without hesitation! She also told me try it and let her know if the drink was made right!

I also wanted to know if it’s possible to change a preset topping for one of the other drinks and John/Jon was kind to let me know it wouldn’t be a problem.

I ordered the Lychee Smoothie Berry at lowest sweetness and added Golden Jelly. It was a delightful sweet and fruity drink. I like that the jelly is tender and chewier than aiyu jelly so it’s great for smoothie drinks!

I also ordered the Midnight Sesame Cloud Iron Goddess Milk Tea (I subbed for egg pudding). This drink is pleasant and just the right amount of sweetness and the e black sesame flavor is fresh and not too strong.”

“It's feels like your in a magic place when you enter! The smells are heavenly and I adore the color scheme. Can we talk about the cookies? I love how they change with the seasons while keeping the favorites too. My mouth is watering just thinking about that Confetti Cheese Cake cookie! I'm in love with this place!”
