“great food! very clean and the sushi sashimi was the best! service was a little slow but that’s because there were a lot of people. they were attentive and very courteous. I would come back here again!”
“Been meaning to review this location.
This location is perfect for crab and lobster lovers. We ordered the crab and lobster set menu and had both the crab and lobster cooked with garlic sauce. I was told it was amazing, since I am allergic to both crab and lobster, I more of the garlic noodles -yummy., papaya salad, steamed sea bass and charbroiled pork. I really liked their garlic noodles. It’s as good as Thanh Long .”

“Delicious Chinese food with generous portions. I especially recommend the mapo tofu—it was full of flavor and perfectly spiced. They also serve a very generous amount of rice, which makes the meal really satisfying. Definitely worth trying!”

“I found this place by chance when I was looking for something else to eat. I enjoy mediterranien food, but this place knocks it out of the park. The food, fantastic. The service, exceptional. If your looking for something better than the local greek fast food joint, this is the place.
10 out of 10, would recommend.”

“Simply amazing! Perfect seasoning and super flexible options. The seasoning level is lighter than most other places selling gyros which in my opinion makes it taste more authentic and let's you get more of a wholesome outdoor grill vibe from the food. This place serves organic meat too (ノ*0*)ノ
I asked for grilled vegetables (generous amounts of onions, pepper, tomato were provided) and fries instead of what's usually offered on the chicken gyros plate. 🤌🤌🤌”

“OMG I knew nothing about this restaurant but we chose it because that’s where we found a parking space, rock star. It was meant to be. Everything was delicious. From the kimchi to the beef tongue to the tofu soup with the dumplings, to the beef tendon soup (after adding salt) and the spicy noodles. I already want to eat there again. Tomorrow.”

“I ate there last week for the first time in several years. The menu is large and many different styles of food. I had the Prime Rib and it was EXCELLENT. There was 2 others in my party and they were equally impressed. Another benefit is that there are no parking problems. I will definitely eat there again.”
“Location, it’s like a little hole in the wall. However, their pizza and pasta was not bad. We ordered a margarita pizza and the Hawaiian pizza. Pizza is not my favorite since I am lactose intolerant however it was not bad. I had 1 slice of each and it was delicious. We also ordered the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. Their portions are huge so we had a lot of leftovers.”
“Noodleosophy is local Bay Area chain focusing on hand-pulled noodle dishes, and this location in particular can be found in Millbrae's Social Eatery food hall. As part of Social Eatery, patrons can take a seat within the food hall, place their orders on the provided tablet, and a staff member will bring the food an beverages straight to your table.
We decided to get their beef tendon noodle soup and selected the biang biang noodles (you're able to customize the dish to your liking with whatever noodle option you prefer). We also got a side of their pork and shrimp dumplings, because who doesn't love dumplings?
The beef tendon noodle soup was rich and flavorful, while the accompanying noodles were perfectly cooked and chewy - providing a great mouth feel to the dish. The dumplings were delicious as well, and were a nice addition to the meal as a whole.
If you're ever in the Millbrae area and want a one-stop shop for all your dining and beverage needs, then Social Eatery is definitely the place to go and be sure to enjoy some delicious hand-pulled noodles from Noodleosophy while you're at it!”
“Our Millbrae downtown has many coffee shops, and I don't drink coffee. But if I have to, Peet's coffee is my choice.
This coffee shop offers very friendly service, and we love its location, next to an oversized parking lot.
We parked our car, had a coffee, and then walked to the farmer's market for our weekly produce and bread.
Their coffee is very fresh and delicious. Highly recommended.”
“Sungandh Indian Restaurant, tucked away in San Francisco, offers a nostalgic dining experience with a menu that truly delivers on flavor. I recently visited and, while the food was a definite highlight, the overall experience left me with mixed feelings about the restaurant's potential.
Let's start with the stars of the show: the food. The Butter Chicken Masala was nothing short of amazing. The chicken was tender, and the sauce was a creamy, rich, and perfectly spiced dream. It's a dish that lives up to its reputation and is a must-try for any butter chicken enthusiast. Similarly, the Paneer Kadhai was outstanding. The paneer was soft and fresh, and the vibrant, aromatic sauce was packed with the right amount of heat and spices. Both dishes were clearly made with care and high-quality ingredients, showcasing a kitchen that knows its craft.
Unfortunately, the culinary journey hit a slight snag with the Mango Lassi. It was, to be honest, a bit average. It lacked the rich, thick consistency and vibrant mango flavor I typically expect from a good lassi. It was drinkable, but it didn't quite complement the stellar main courses as I had hoped.
The service was decent, though a little lackluster. Our server was kind and attentive enough to our basic needs, but the service felt more transactional than genuinely welcoming. There wasn't a strong sense of hospitality, which is often a key ingredient in a great dining experience.
The most significant area for improvement, however, is the restaurant itself. Sungandh has a very old-school feel, and not in a charming, vintage way. The decor is dated, and the restaurant is in serious need of a refresh. More critically, the lack of a proper HVAC system was noticeable, making the interior feel stuffy and uncomfortable. A much-needed renovation could transform this place from a hidden gem with great food into a truly top-tier dining destination.
In summary, Sungandh Indian Restaurant is a place you go for the food, particularly the exceptional butter chicken and paneer kadhai. The kitchen staff are clearly masters of their craft. However, be prepared for an experience that feels a bit rough around the edges. If they can invest in a much-needed facelift and elevate their service to match the quality of their cuisine, Sungandh has the potential to be one of the best Indian restaurants in San Francisco. Until then, it's a great spot for takeout or a casual, no-frills meal where the flavors are the main event.”
“The food here is awesome. Don't sit around in the place, it's like a fast food restaurant in person: bleak and no one cares what it looks like. All you need to do is pick up the food! The chicken katsu was great and the meat medley/combo dish. Love this!
Parking: There's an in n out right next to it and the line was out of the parking lot (insane). That blocks off spots to park but we parked anyway and people were very accommodating.”

“I travelled from Riverside County to come eat at this restaurant and have heard such great reviews about it from my relatives and friends who live all the way in China! It was worth the drive and we will definitely be back again. Each dish is unique and they also have gluten free options as well as requested options. (My f5 year old is Gluten free). The bamboo and mushroom dish had a hint of sweetness with an undertone of spice, the Chong qing 🌶spicy chicken was mouth watering, along with the eggplant 🍆 dish, dry stir fried fish, and glass noodles with pork! I enjoyed every dish and my kids enjoyed their shrimp fried rice dish and greens as well. Our family is a foodie family and we love ❤️ traveling far and near to try dishes from around the world. The Chef came out and greeted us and was So kind. The staff was very attentive and friendly with our children. I would highly recommend this establishment. Thank you!! 🙏💕😁”

“This area has a lot of great little restaurants and this is one of them. Had the beef brisket soup and the broth was very hearty and the meat basically melted in my mouth. The fresh noodles just topped it all off *chef's kiss*. Service was fairly quick and no hassles. Prices were reasonable, especially for fresh hand made noodles.”
“The seats in the restaurant are comfortable, the place is clean, and the waiters are attentive. It has a Hong Kong-style teahouse style, and the food is of average quality. The company's sandwich menu has a Hong Kong feel, including garlic fried chicken wings, baked pork chop rice, and stir-fried beef river. I think the milk tea doesn't have enough flavor, there is room for improvement. This is a restaurant I will visit again.”

“We tried the fish and frog dishes, plus cold noodle. All were outstanding, great taste, great portions. The tea served were a good compliment to the spicy food, of higher quality compared to other similar restaurants. If you like spicy Sichuan seafood - this is the place to go. Will definitely visit again.”
“I went to eat here with a friend of mine. He told me that this is a good example of traditional Cantonese food. I was not familiar with Cantonese food and he described it as Chinese comfort food. Kind of like food that you would go get at your Chinese grandmother's home. I don't know how accurate this is in the grand scheme of Chinese food, but it seemed accurate to me. It was Saucy and tasty and kind of like beef and gravy that I would get as a kid at my grandmother's house. Definitely different than most Chinese restaurants that I have had in my life. I recommend giving it a try. The place is no frills, but the service was great and the staff was super friendly. Take a bit of time to look at the menu. They have a lot of things to choose.”

“Korean place with good vegan options. Items are labelled vegetarian on the menu, some items need to be modified to be made vegan. Clarify that the banchans are vegan (they have fish cake sometimes). Like greens, bean sprouts, and fried tofu banchan they have. Bathroom was nice and clean.
Love the mushroom tofu soup, really flavorful and they are generous with the mushrooms. Also got the hot stone tofu bibimbap, make sure to ask for no egg to make it vegan. Good option to go to if going with a group of omnis, can also accomodate larger groups as well but would consider making a reservation if the party is 6+.”

“The food is great, specially the oyster, lamb, and beef. And the restaurant owner is very friendly, I will come back again definitely if I still want to eat the Chinese style bbq.”

Takeout Restaurants
“Get the Portuguese / Hong-Kong Style Egg Tarts. It is the flagship item in the store. It tasted like a master pastry chef has been perfecting it for decades. Crust is buttery flakey and the filling hits every note on your palate. Additionally, I also got a Pineapple bun and Steam Bun with Black Sesame. I wished the bun was a little fluffier on the inside and the black sesame bun had more even distribution of the black sesame paste for the size of the bun. Service was great and hospitable on a busy Saturday morning. I look forward to trying more items from the bakery. Please make sure to bring cash for any purchase under $15 to help the business with credit card fees.”

“Very cute to-go place. Perfect for a quick lunch pick up especially if you work in South City. I got the unagi with egg (savory with a hint of sweetness) and takoyaki which were both hot and fresh! I want to try the fruit sando and pork sando next time.I purchased it at the Kei Sushi location.”
“The owner was very nice and the food are all tasty and very good, good portioning for all the orders. For sure will go back feels like being in Thailand already. See ewe TOm kha Papaya salad with salted crab duck friend rice Fried chicken Sticky rice duck curry . Everyting was tasty and satisfying 🤤🤤🤤”
“The tea here is good compared to other tea shops in the area. The milk and sugar doesn't overwhelm the tea. The shop is decorated with anime figures but there's no seating in the shop. Ordering is through just 1 kiosk, but our tea order of 4 was prepared in a timely manner. Parking was not a problem on a Tuesday afternoon.”

Drive-Thru Restaurants
“We passed by the restaurant quite a few times that we would come here for a special occasion. We finally did and were delighted with its set menu offering. Every dish looks beautiful, tastes delicious. I particularly like its use of radish and savory herb and the special decor , a few herb taste like mild wasabi which really enhance the flavor. Price wise, maybe at the high end of a regular lunch but certainly an affordable meal for special occasion. Reservation recommended.”
“Delicious food! Friendly service!
We walked over from our hotel at 9pm and were promptly and happily welcomed in.
Our food was delivered quickly after ordering which was great as we were tired from a long day of travel.
The kung pao chicken and garlic noodles were so good- just what we were looking for. Would absolutely order again!
We recommend this spot if you’re in the area and craving delicious Chinese food with friendly service.”
“Found this little gem while on a layover at SFO and the food was amazing! I had the Curry Sliced Beef Ramen and it was probably the best I’ve had. The ordering technology threw me off but I got over it quickly, it is 2025. As far as atmosphere…..just a bunch of people quietly eating lunch. I only gave the service 2 stars because it is an online order and someone just deeply it off at the table. Would definitely recommend though.”
“Very friendly cashier. I wish the fries were hot instead of barely warm. The main purpose of the visit was to take my kid for the root beer float. Good experience, so I will return with my other kid for the root bear float and some other food on our next visit.Update: Different cashier today. Very nice lady with a 49ers #10 white jersey was very friendly and pleasant. As stated last Sunday that I would bring my other kids, I did, and they were very happy dining here. Ordered the same meal from last week, the wrap combo- honey bbq and spicy Mac and cheese, and three chicken pot pies.”
“GREAT SERVICE I LOVE IT and this nice man named Uncle Hang is SUPER WHOOPER NUCLEAR NICE!!! Oh and the employees! I could never forget about them! I mean I don’t suggest you coming here… I DEMAND YOU TO COME HERE. The food is great and the restaurant is amazing, if I could come here everyday then I would. This is already my favorite restaurant already since first bite. I LOVE THIS RESTAURANTTTTTT!!!!❤️❤️❤️ This restaurant deserves more people! ;D”
“Love this location when I feel like having some clay pot dish. Normally we come here and we ordered various dishes and we share among our group. What honey liked the most about there’s clay pot dishes were the crunchy bottom of the rice. Nice and crispy and crunchy. We order: clay pot Lap Mei (a little bit fatty, clay pot Chicken & Mushroom (my favorite), clay pot Grilled Unagi ( my favorite), clay pot Chicken feet and Pork Ribs ( my husband favorite), clay pot Pork Patty ( not bad) and Beef Stew Noodles with wide noodles and ramen noodles ( yummy). We have also tried their Milk Tea Taro Milk( too thick for me) and taro and boba ( wasn’t as thick). Would we go back.. We have been back numerous times already. 😂”

“We went here for lunch, portion sizes were large, lunch specials come with tea, soup, and meal. Set lunch menu is 13.95$ and finishes at 14:30.
Food have very good flavor”

“Tasty vietnamese desserts. Staff are knowledgeable about how to make items vegan and many things are automatically vegan. Got the red bean trio which was really tasty, liked the different textures. The pandan jelly was good and not artificial tasting at all. The taro in it added a nice creaminess. Also got the choco banana smoothie with soymilk which was good.”
“My first introduction to brazilian food was a coxinha. I wanted to taste it before I got home, but it didn't even make it home, it was so good. I love the krispy texture outside and then the creaminess of the mixture inside, its just beautiful. And for those who don't like spice, this is the perfect amount of heat. I would have preferred to have a little spicier, but those who cannot handle heat, this is really good.
I also had their carrot cake and there corn cake. Both good.”
“Olivia’s Tanghulu is available there! These candied fruits are such a fun and nostalgic treat! So crunchy and delicious! They are the perfect balance of sweetness and texture, and they bring back childhood memories with every bite. Highly recommend grabbing some when you stop by! Such a unique and tasty find! Go early before they sell out!”
“Our family enjoys eating at Naked Fish in Millbrae. Their sushi rolls and bento boxes are always delicious. There are many options to choose from between the menu and their daily specials. Their food is presented well and amply portioned. Their service is consistently good and the servers are attentive. Whether we eat a late lunch or dinner with family and friends, we always leave this place full and content. My only criticism of this place is the location. Because the gym is directly above it, more specifically, the weight room, you can hear the weights dropping on the floor on certain occasions and it’s distracting. However, because we enjoy eating here more than anything else, we tolerate the noise on the few instances it’s happened. There is ample parking around, both on the street and in the parking lot next to it.Overall, I recommend you try this restaurant if you’re in the neighborhood.”
“Wallet friendly place that serves delicious northern style Chinese food. Super big portions. Visited three times in the last two months and all of the dishes we tried were delicious.”
“Great consistently tasty food. Good selection of both seafood and non seafood items. My family loves celebrating birthdays here.”

“This was my first time visiting a Chick-fil-a in San Francisco. I ordered curbside and Carlos brought out my meal. He was really nice and friendly. He waited while I checked to make sure I had all my food. He waited with a smile and asked if I need anything else. Thank you Carlos for the great customer service!!”
“Best panda express i ever had! Food was warm very fulfilling. Service is good, people work here are good. Portion is enough, location is great, love the siting. They have clean restroom. What else you need for fast food chain.!!
Not sure why people complaining already. It’s brand new store , hopefully they maintain same consistency and service.”
