“Delicious breakfast! Found Conchita by chance on way home from airport. We were starving and the “Los Dennys” (pancakes, eggs, bacon) was fantastic. Great friendly service. Love the cute coffee mugs and attractive table settings.”

Thank you Marta for your excellent service, the food was amazing ?! Marta keep the smile on her face ,even that I was a super busy day she was making us feel happy with her service! A big plus ,for the restaurant for having people like Marta!”

The staff was accommodating, attentive and very friendly. The food was exceptional! If you haven’t tried Mediterranean cuisine or love it, this is the place for you!”

“I just had a chai tea latte with almond milk and a breakfast croissant sandwich (egg, cheese, avocado, tomato, lettuce) at Antigua Coffee Shop. The ladies here are so kind, the Christmas decorations are everything, and they’re playing Christmas music. If this is your favorite holiday and you’re in the city I’d check them out. 10/10 I’ll be back to try the banana French toast and omelettes.”
“Villa del Sol specialty is the Argentine asado (Argentine BBQ), I highly recommend their grill asado for two. It comes with a variety of meat, chicken, pork, sausages & sweetbread.”
“We stopped here while waiting to catch our flight because we had a while. It was super chill and a fun place. They had old pinball machines that we played and the ambiance was very cool and relaxed. Food was so yummy. Got the flatbread pizza and some fries to share. Very satisfied.”

“I love this cafe. The team is outstanding despite some shortcomings. They truly make it up. For example: the place has no AC. It’s great most of the time unless it’s very hot, which has been the case lately. I haven’t met the owner yet. I would suggest changing their bread. The bread they use for the sandwiches just isn’t up to their standards. Overall, awesome coffee. Everyone on the team is just outstanding and patient. Keep up the great work!”
“There are very few restaurants left that are like this in the Bay Area. What makes this place special?
It's not the delicious food. It's not the large portions. It's not the ample parking Andreas access. Maybe it's the 70s retro vibes?
It must be a combination of all the above AND the amazing staff. When I dine here, the staff always makes me feel like family. Or maybe a cherished customer?
I like this place.”

“Place was not that busy on a Memorial Day Monday, so I was able to order my food right away and the food was not that expensive. Worker who took my order was very nice. Food came out quick. Got a Carne Asada taco that was delicious. Didn’t even take a picture because it jumped in my belly. Burrito was decent, good flavor but I wish they put more meat in it. It was packed, but I found myself trying to conserve the meat to make it last for other bites. Salsa bar was cool with the huge selection to choose from. Other than that, I would come back and definitely order more tacos.”
“Last week, my friends and I went to Traverse for a catch-up session during their happy hour, and we had a blast. We enjoyed playing table shuffleboard, which added a fun, competitive edge to our evening. Sipping on wine from their well-curated collection made the experience even better. The atmosphere was perfect for a relaxed yet lively gathering, and we all left with great memories. Traverse is definitely a spot worth revisiting for its enjoyable activities and excellent wine selection!”
“Kamu Sushi in South San Francisco is a cozy, small gem that really makes every visit special. Their beer and sake is top-notch and pairs beautifully with the meal. The extra spicy edamame is a fiery delight, while the seafood options like lobster and mussels are impeccably fresh. The nigiri and Spicy Spider Roll round out an unforgettable culinary experience. A must-visit for an intimate evening of great food and drink. Cheers!”

“Another hole-in-the-wall, underrated but great tasting Northern China food restaurant in Bay area. Hidden away in an alley, minimal decor serving unpretentious noodle, soups, and Chinese pancakes and a lot more. If you're in the neighborhood, you need to give this place a try.?? *They serve most foods in takeout containers. Bypass this and focus on the food. I had to learn this ?”
“Living just two blocks away, I made it a weekly ritual to dine here, and it remains my absolute favorite spot for street tacos. While I miss the salsa bar, a casualty of the pandemic, it was heartening to find the tacos tasting just as delicious as they did six years ago during my recent work trip. It's reassuring to see that this gem is still thriving.”
“The pho, noticeably fragrant. 20 hours of simmering evident in the deepness of taste, buttery from the marrow drawn from bones. Clean and translucent broth, an indicator of quality. The wait time, a result of perfectly boiled-to-order rice noodles. What’s missing in decor is over-compensated by taste. Come for a rare-find bowl of solid noodle soup — no frills, but very simply delicious.”
“Stopped by The Anecdote at Oyster Point for some drinks and bites after work—great spot! The bar has a cool vibe with awesome bay views. I had the mushroom empanadas, sliders, and a local beer—they all hit the spot. Chill atmosphere, friendly staff, and solid bar food. Definitely a gem if you’re in the area.”
“I like this place. Basic, no frills, Hawaiian BBQ. My favorite is the Shrimp Noodle soup. Large bowl of veggies' shrimp and super hot broth. Noodles on the side in the to go orders. Such nice noodles. Cooked perfectly so they finish cooking when you add them to the hot broth. Highly recommended. All of the other Hawaiian BBQ dishes also on the menu. Not much on atmosphere though.”
“I just had Chinese food from the New Dragon Garden delivered to my residence. The food here was so good. This is another great Chinese restaurant. The chicken chow main was so good and literally filled me right up. I highly recommend people try this place if they are ever in daily city. I may order some food from this restaurant again sometime. I give them 5 stars ⭐️”
“La Morena is one of the originals in South San Francisco and one the best taquerias around in the Bay Area. Everything on the menu is good the service is fast and friendly. I have been going to this restaurant for decades and will continue to do so. It's a South city staple and just great food every time you go. 5 stars!”
“First time coming here and I loved it. The waiters were attentive and the ambience was nice. I am looking forward to trying everything on their menu. I had the lamb this time. Everything was cooked perfectly. What a delicious and beautiful dish!”
“Sooooooooo good!!!! Everything is literally so tasty. Can’t wait to eat here again soon! Thank you for showing me my first chica morada drink! So refreshing and delicious!”

24 Hour Restaurants
“We had a 5-hour layover in San Fran late at night when the airport restaurants were all closed. So we ubered to the closest IHOP open all night. I know it's late at night but our server never smiled or said thank you. One time. Food was good. Restaurant was clean. Service was fast.”
“Do you remember? We used to have a Denny's in Japantown SF. That place was great for a meal after clubbing and seeing the same people you just partied with. That was the best part, seeing familiar faces. Fast forward to today. Coffee is $4.29. We had the T-bone steak and eggs $23.19, berry vanilla crepe breakfast $17 and chicken fried steak breakfast $18. The food was OK. The service was a bit slow because the place was full at lunchtime. Overall, not bad. Good job crew at Denny's.”
“Been going here since i was in the service the bartenders r great drinks r good. I just hit 60 an seen a lot of places come an go i hope the bar goes another 100 yrs so city tradition!”
“A perfect site for relax a have a good time with your friends or just drinks!!!”
“This Cajun and Chinese food mixed is unique and special. The food is excellent and well prepared. The dumplings are the best and very well prepared, better than other places and you have the soup inside each dumpling, which is well done. And the green string Beans was at the right tenderness. The problem is the parking… and the location is not the best
Parking: Parking is difficult to find but every other city is the same”
Takeout Restaurants
“Mike & Ken’s Deli, my son wanted a turkey sandwich, we drove to Little Luca, it was 5:30 PM. The place closed at 4:00PM. We drove around after looking for a sandwich place open, the map suggest to try the Mike & Ken’s Deli. I was happy to see a couple of Cop vehicles outside the deli, (always a good sign that the food is good) there was a few orders ahead and it was 11 minutes for
my turn. My son went for the Turkey and Provolone sandwich on soft roll, they were out of it so we went for the warmed sourdough instead. Nice people making the sandwich with large selection of salads, breakfast and sandwiches. The deli is like a small liquor store serving beer with lottery ticket machine available.”
“I don’t normally give 5 star ratings but feel this place deserves it. It’s a hidden gem in downtown South San Francisco that serves authentic, unpretentious Salvadoran (and Mexican) food. The pupusas (we had the ones with pork, cheese and beans) were absolutely delicious and inexpensive. They go well with the house coleslaw and the mild chili sauce. The Salvadoran enchiladas (more like tacos) were very good as well. The best part of this restaurant is the staff, who are warm, generous, and kind. They really make you feel this is neighborhood place. We will definitely return to sample more items on the menu.
Parking: Paid street parking in front of the restaurant”
“The best Shabu in San Jose and located in the perfect part of San Jose in Japantown, we love coming here to eat Shabu, it is so delicious. I highly recommend it *****five stars the owner Richard treat’s us great with so much hospitality, we just feel so welcomed and will continue to frequent his establishment.”
“I had a pastrami on dutch crunch bread and provolone cheese. All their sandwiches are great and I really like their garlic mayo. The also have an area that makes burgers, fries, onion rings, things of that nature. They also have good assortment of chips and drinks. great place for lunch”
“This food truck is worth a stop if you're wanting delicious tacos, tortas, and burritos. I have not been disappointed. They offer a variety of drinks including a strawberry horchata. I appreciate the fast and friendly service and delicious Mexican food. Atmosphere rating technically doesn't apply.
They generally park in a shaded area, so you can wait for your food in the shade.”
“I've worked with BTB and Feda many times now and I'm never disappointed. Excellent variety to fit all dietary restrictions. Flavorful, nutritious options. And super communicative, clear, and easy to work with. I'd recco Beyond the Border to anyone planning a casual, fun event.”

Unfortunatly I only can go when Im going to the SF Airport and that is very rare. I wish I could go more often. Drive-Thru Restaurants
“A very good place if you like Italian breads and baked goods. I usually buy at least 3 whole focaccia bread every time I visit. My favorites are pepperoni, artichoke garlic, pepperoni and sausage, pesto, and feta cheese and garlic. The breads are tasty with the aroma of spices, cheeses they use and freshness of the bread. They rotate the ingredients so it never gets boring. I also love the jalapeño bread rolls, ham and cheese croissants, cookies and pastries. I never had anything I didn't like here. A small family business with a big heart. You can see lots of repeat customers always telling you what they always buy. Give them a try and you will become a regular...”
“The cupcakes tasted delicious, especially the Dulce Salted Egg. They were spongy, moist, and right level of sweetness. The ube latte is a must. I tried it without boba or coconut jelly because did not want these toppings to influence or override the drink. Very satisfied!”

“The nachos with carne asada and a michelada! That is a perfect meal.
Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian and seafood options.
Kid-friendliness: We come with our grandkids and the staff is welcoming to us.
Wheelchair accessibility: There are no steps and the restaurant is at ground level.”
“We invited Red Sauce to cater a staff appreciation party and it was delicious! Great meatballs, salads and pasta. Chicken Parm was excellent as well. Will call them again for future events...”
“This is a family run business that makes the best food! Homemade ravioli, soup, bread and sauces for you to take home to cook and enjoy! We stopped by and picked up a little bit of everything. Highly recommended and we will stop here every time we come up this way! Thank you Haight Family for your delicious food and awesome friendly service.
Parking: This is not a restaurant. You buy the food to cook and enjoy at home.”
Cheap Eats
“I was seated right away during lunch time and it wasn't too busy. My favorite and reason for my visit was to have the torikawa (chicken skin skewers) I also had the Bento with the shrimp tempura and shioyaki salmon. Everything was delicious 😋 I almost forgot to take photos as I was hungry lol... price was also reasonable.”
“Love The Hangar and so happy it opened as I’m lucky enough to work next door. Everything I’ve ordered so far has been high quality and tasty. I’ve tried the salad bar, tuna melt and japchae noodles. I find the prices reasonable for the area and quality. The entire space is very well decorated and designed. Can’t wait for the bar to open upstairs, check out the upstairs patio too. Oh also the coffee bar is really good too, thanks Eugene!”
“I've been staying and working in South San Francisco this week without a car. Have dined there for lunch 2 days in a row now, and both days I also brought back dinner to my hotel for the evening. Everything has been delicious with fresh ingredients. Really creative and elevated offerings for a quick service restaurant. The salmon was especially amazing! I had 2 really dismal experiences earlier in the week with Doordash and only wish I had tried Foundry & Lux sooner. I'll be back tomorrow before heading back home on Saturday 😀”
“The food here is amazing. I'm not a review leaver but this food was so good I had to say something. The salmon was incredible for such an affordable price. Staff were so kind and patient with me while I looked over the menu. Everything is so fresh. If I could come down here every day I would. So amazing 10/10 perfect lunch spot or post workout meal. Cannot wait to come back. #obsessssed”
“I would say this as one of the best thai food places in the South San Francisco area. I tried tom yum soup, panag curry & iced coffee which all turned out to be delicious.
Especially the quality of panag curry was good.
The dine in space is small and service was pretty fast.”
“This is the best burrito in the peninsula, hands down. This is what a burrito should taste like! I've been coming here for decades, and the consistency stays the same. It's always a great price at $9 super burritos! The service is always friendly and even if it's crowded you still don't wait long for your food! Also, the original El Farolito in SF invented the burrito.”
“I've been here a few times, and I recently brought my mom. It's her favorite Filipino restaurant now. We've ordered and enjoyed: lumpia, chopsuey, beefstik tagalog, and pansit miki bihon combo. Our latest visit, we tried the Hawaiian oxtail soup. The meat was tender, and the broth was light and flavorful. And we always get my favorite dessert: mini bibingka, always warm and yummy.”

“Amazing craft roasted coffee. Owner Marcel and the baristas always take time to tell you about the roast and suggest a blend. If you're familiar with Ikon from a farmer's market, it's definitely worth a trip to the cafe, which is located in the roastery. The pour-overs (only available at the cafe) and the chill atmosphere make the cafe my favorite go-to coffee place.”

“Good chicken tenders - piping hot and crispy. Fries are sorta meh - not crispy enough and a little too thick for my liking. Dipping sauces have nice variety and the Star sauce and truffle aioli were both delicious. Ordered from a kiosk so basically no human interaction.”
“Oh my goodness. Such a gem in the rough. Amazing food in the middle of an industrial area. I'm an old fat white guy, and the meal defeated me. For the first time in a long time, I needed a doggy bag. The Shawarma were delicious as were the pickled veggies and cole slaw. The Arabic coffee was to die for. So rich and thick!”

“Most times you will see people celebrate a birthday or a funeral.
The food is decent and the staff are pleasant
Bill was around $30 a head
Some of the seafood was quite good
They have crab but no crackers or scissors to open the shell
Do NOT try and crack the crab with you teeth”

“Flavas Jamaican Grill is a true hidden gem in South San Francisco, conveniently located near the airport and hotels. While the restaurant is small, and parking can be a challenge (you might need to park down the street), the food more than makes up for any inconvenience. I highly recommend ordering ahead, especially during the evening, as the space can get crowded with customers and delivery drivers. If you're dining with a family, the limited seating may not be the most comfortable, but the incredible food makes it worth it. The jerk salmon is the star of the menu perfectly cooked with a smoky, tangy heat that melts in your mouth. It's hands down the best salmon I’ve ever had, with flavors that are bold yet perfectly balanced. The jerk chicken is also a standout, and the sides like dirty rice and plantains are the perfect complements, creating a delicious harmony of flavors. If you’re feeling adventurous, don’t miss out on the oxtail or the wings both are packed with rich, authentic flavor. Pair your meal with one of their imported Jamaican sodas or a ginger beer for a truly immersive experience. As someone from Fresno, where Jamaican food is nonexistent, Flavas has been my first and only Jamaican food experience and it has set the bar incredibly high. The flavors are vibrant and comforting, giving you a true taste of Jamaica. Other patrons rave about their curry goat and daily specials, which I plan to try on my next visit. Whether you’re a local or passing through South San Francisco, Flavas Jamaican Grill is a must visit for anyone craving bold, authentic flavors. Just be sure to plan ahead for seating and parking, and prepare to be wowed by the food! Food: 5/5 Service: 4/5 (due to limited seating and busy atmosphere) Atmosphere: 4/5”
