“Beautiful view of the rock, great service, and great food. I had the "Snootie" grilled cheese and my husband had the "Goin back to Cali", and they were both delicious. I would definitely come back to try some of their other breakfast foods.“

“If you are one of the unfortunates who have not discovered Bayside Cafe, you are missing out on an amazing opportunity. Everything at Bayside is exceptional! Friendly service, lovely view of the bay, and always fresh fish on the menu!! My favorite is their fish tacos. Yummy!!“
“Great service! We did not know what to expect when we walked in but the owners were extremely friendly and accommodating. The charcuterie to die for! Considering we are a lgbqt couple, we felt safe and welcomed :) highly recommend for anyone looking for a comfortable and safe space to watch the sunset.“

“This place is absolutely amazing. Extremely friendly staff, and CHEAP prices for TOP quality freshly baked treats and food. Several unique items that I have not seen elsewhere. Everything seems like it was homemade by an expert. I come here any time I am in town.“

“Outstanding food. My partner and I are both plant-based and always love to find vegetarian or vegan cafes. This place certainly delivers. The portions are massive, so if you can put away the salad like we can…you’re in luck. Their tempeh is out of this world good, and all the dressings we tried (cilantro and sesame ginger) perfectly accompanied our veggies.Of note, their breakfast menu also includes buckwheat pancakes. I find buckwheat pancakes often hard to find, and the ones we ordered here were some of the best I’ve had.“

“Me and my wife stayed at the nearby morrow bay inn and wanted a traditional country breakfast. Carla's did not disappoint. Food was good, fast and well priced. We stayed and purchased a few things from the gift shop. We met the owner who was super nice, and I could tell genuinely loved what she did. You can allways tell a place is good if the locals go. And watching for a few minutes its clear they all come here and the staff all know them and genuinely care about people. I will definitely come back many times in the future.“

“First time for me and I was very pleased with the service and food. I arrived on a cold rainy winter night and in need of warm soup to relieve my cold symptoms. The server suggested the fish soup. I was a bit reluctant because fish isn't my first choice at a Mexican restaurant; my preference is chile relleno. Their fish soup is superb, filled with shrimp, chunks of fish, carrots, onions, zucchini, and cubes of potatoes. It hit the spot! Fresh lime slices, onions, dried chilis, and cilantro are served on a side plate. A choice of either corn or flour tortillas are offered. The salsa is spicy and the horchata is really sweet (not watered down). It's not surprising that this local restaurant in Morro Bay has an excellent fish dish. I'll definitely come back for the chile rellenos, fajitas, and other specialties.“

“The restaurant was in a great spot to view the Morro Rock. The food was exceptional as well as the presentation. The service was great, we were greeted by our waitress Vanessa, she was very nice ,friendly and pleasant. ❤️?? We ordered some fried calamari, it was delicious. Margarita was tasty and a beer. For main course ordered Snapper fish witch came with side of rice pilaf and fresh veggies( it was cooked to perfection). Dinner plate came with side of clam chowder soup or salad. Everything was exceptional. Thank you and hopefully next time we are in the area will be back again. ?❤️“

“My family and I dined at House of Juju in November 2023. We were only in Morro Bay for a few days (Monday and Tuesday) and ate at another establishment the day before; having a horrible experience. When I looked online at the hours for House of Juju for Tuesday it showed they were closed. I was SO disappointed as I was really looking forward to having a delicious meal here. My family and I went down to the water and noticed House of Juju appeared to be open. I called the restaurant to confirm and spoke with Maddy. She was so friendly and confirmed they were open on Tuesday as a trial. I was thrilled! My family and I went in for dinner and had Maddy as our server. She was just as pleasant as she had been on the phone and provided excellent service. We were able to enjoy a delicious meal and watch the sunset from the back of the restaurant. The Juju Bleu burger is AMAZING, along with the clam chowder, and the flatbread! This will continue to be an establishment we will frequent while in town.“

“The service was great! Liz's suggestions were followed. On this visit my son had the Asada burrito and I had Tacos GRANDES. Both were delicious and served on really hot plates, which added something that i can't quite articulate but like. It put the hot in hot meal I supposed.“

“We split a yellow curry with tofu and the garlic edamame. The garlic edamame was delicious, very savory sauce, and it comes with so much. The yellow curry was pretty mild (they didn't ask how we wanted it) and watery, but still had a decent flavor. I was a bit disappointed the tofu was just plain blocks and not fried, but it still tasted fine.“

“The view is amazing. We stopped in for their margarita which was perfect blend of sour and sweet and booze! The sourdough bread is yummy. The clam chowder was ok. I wouldn't order it again. The sandwiches are large and delicious. I really like the shrimp taco. But what I LOVE is the spicy sauce. I think they make it in house. I can eat that on anything.“

“Umi is well known due to my mom's friend owning the branch in Bakersfield! I have heard only positive reviews and decided to bring my boyfriend and our friends there for lunch. We were debating on getting the boat but decided to get it next time when we have more people. We ended up getting the Dancing on the Fire #3 and Crazy Baby. We were both a fan of the Crazy Baby more. But everything was fantastic!“

“We’ve been going to Hofbrau for over 20 years. Just had one of the best meals ever there today. Sat outside on the new glass enclosed deck over the water. Amazing view. Beautiful day. Had the best, tender and flavorful roast beef sandwich- a jailhouse (roast beef, pastrami & provolone - a Reuben and calamari strips. It was all perfect!“

“What a great find. We wanted Italian and searched the net. We had fantastic service and some outstanding traditional dishes. Carbonara, fettuccine and they had braciole on the menu. The owner came and worked the crowd. A genuine delight. And a special dessert of Spumoni ice cream with a crust prepared by the house of crushed Biscotti and chocolate with Pistachios. Can't wait to go back soon. All this at a reasonable price. Don't miss out on this treat.“

“The food was ok, but it's the view and the service that really mattered to me. We were on vacation and stayed just steps from the restaurant. We had a romantic dinner there with a million dollar view and a very attentive server. The entire staff were very welcoming.“

“We were looking for a good burger place and some of the previous reviews helped us decide to give Beach Burger a try. Our decision was a good one. My grilled jalapeño burger with bacon, chipotle mayo and pepper jack cheese was delicious. My wife had a classic burger and she really enjoyed her meal. The view of the harbor and water from inside on a chilly afternoon was nice. It was a bit busy but the service was excellent and the food came promptly and hot. The next time we're craving a burger in Morro Bay, this is where we will go.“

“My husband and I came to Morro Bay for our anniversary. We decided to have our dinner here at the Harbor Hut. I ordered the chef special of 3 fish grill. The salmon, ahi tuna and white fish was delicious. Our server Heather was very nice. We had a great view of the ocean. I highly recommend this place.“

“Been there a few times. Last week had the wet pastor burrito. Not huge but ample sized. Gal that was working was very friendly and chatted with us for a while. Food came out very fast even though they were busy. It's dinky inside and the glare was gnarly but it's clean. Excellent value for sure. We'll be back.“

“For some reason the fish tacos were not as good as before.....less fish (I could barely find it). This seems to be the way it is since costs have risen. Tognazzini's is a go to for our family (better than others on the dock). Hopefully this is just a "one off". Normally food is outstanding“

“Just spoke with the Manager- John. Although there was a problem, he was interested in correcting the situation. As a result, I am compelled to give this establishment top stars! His interest in the matter went above and beyond expectations. His willingness to make things right, was heartfelt- that's sometimes hard to encounter now-a-days. I encourage the owner of this establishment to also recognize this amazing employee by promoting or at least giving him a raise... as he's earned it- we will continue to be customers! He is the exact type of employee that all businesses aspire to employ. Blessings!“

“The best feature is the location on the harbor overlooking the rock. This has been my mom and dad's favorite restaurant for 30 years. The interior walls are clad in rich wood throughout with large windows where you can glimpse seals and otters swimming past. The service is friendly and efficient. The last visit was a late lunch celebrating Valentine's Day. They offer lunch specials until 4:00 pm and my mom loves the Snapper Sandwich and the red cabbage slaw. It is grilled on the mesquite grill and the fish is consistent good. I ordered the Chicken Teriyaki with rice pilaf and cabbage slaw off the regular menu and it was excellent! The chicken was so flavorful and perfectly grilled but the standout was the rice pilaf for me. I eat carbs sparingly but I finished my entire plate of rice. The onion, bell pepper blend added such a delicious flavor profile to the pilaf and it complimented the chicken so well. We all enjoyed our meals and the view. I definitely recommend for a delightful meal with possibly the best view in Morro Bay.“

“I love round table pizza and I wish they were more popular. Pizza was great and fresh as always. Got a BBQ chicken pizza which is our go-to dish. This location felt like I was transported to the late 90s or early 2000s. It was lunchtime and there was barely anyone there. Basically just us.The salad bar was asking to be killed, which was disappointing since I usually like their salads. The bathroom was clean and well lit, although the lock was a bit janky. The arcade area was all claw machines, but none took card so that was a bust.Has a decent view of the bay which was nice with its big open windows. The parking was lacking.“

“Morro Bay is one of our favorite weekend getaways but we have not been back in several years until this past weekend. We were very happy to see that Lil' Hut remains standing after all these years. Sure there are other options and sit down, full-service restaurants in the area but this for us, Lil' Hut is the place to go. Don't let the shorter lines fool you. The seafood is fresh, well seasoned and flavorful (fish and chips and clam strips. I recommend asking for extra crisp fries otherwise can be a bit soggy). Service is hit and miss.“

“I was worried because of the negative comments, but I just decided to trust my gut and order here. Oh my, it was delicious. I ordered the soup dumplings and fried wontons and ill be honest there wasn't a lot of soup in the soup dumplings but the flavor was amazing and the wontons were so sweet but savory and crunchy and gooey on the inside im getting hungry again just thinking about them. I ordered online and they were done perfectly in time the service was good the place was clean and people polite. Don't need much else. 8.7/10 would highly recommend.“

“Nice place but... We visited this beautiful restaurant on July 30th For drinks and appetizers. We sat outside on the patio and it was lovely, the food was delicious and the wine very enjoyable. We recognized that we were seated at the table for about 2 1/2 - 3 hours so we continued to order appetizers and dessert while we were enjoying our wine and we also planned on leaving a generous tip. Toward the end of our stay as we were ordering our final glass of wine and dessert and were told by the waitress that she could not serve us anymore alcohol and and it has something to do with the ABC but she could not explain exactly what the issue was. Being in my 60's and never being denied service in my entire life, I was quite taken aback. We were served the dessert but no more alcohol. We paid our bill and walked down the street to another establishment where we continued to have our final glass of wine and watch the sunset and then walk back to the hotel. I'm still baffled by what occurred.“
