“The namesake sushi, eighty-eight roll,was great and nicely presented with poke pieces on top. The regular rolls: spider, Philly, and Negihama had chewy seaweed (not a crispy bite) wrap and not as fun and tasty. The agedashi tofu was nice and the hot sake was generous. They were busy so they couldn't always check when we needed water or additional ginger to add flavor to sushi.“
“Very high quality fish with great portion sizes. I came here with a few friends and we were all very satisfied. I got the dinner combo with 2 orders of sashimi (16 pieces total) and the pieces were very big, fatty, and high quality. My friends got the sake don (also very high quality salmon) and the chicken katsu, which came with a mountain of chicken katsu and was great for the price. I will definitely be coming back as this is one of the best sushi restaurants I've been to in the bay area.“

“This place is so good. We always get the spicy tuna hand rolls and spicy tuna nachos for a quick bite - very filling. I had the Geisha roll- so yummy, which was too big so saving the other half for the next day is always the plan. Also all the sauces are the best especially the kimchichurri - perfection!! Staff friendly and helpful with the menu. The restaurant ambience is clean and calm which is a nice background to the eclectic menu! We'll always be coming back!“
“I go here on a regular basis. I have Celiac and am very sensitive to gluten. Last time I went, I accidentally pushed ramen noodles instead of rice, and they switched it out for me and refunded the extra charge for the noodles. The manager even came out to make sure everything was okay.The outdoor seating is pleasant, ordering on the tablets can take a minute to figure out if you aren't familiar with them (usually, unless you push a wrong button like me), the service is quick, and the food is good.I also have a service animal, and have never had problems bringing him into this space.“
“This place is a hidden gem! We were actually going to the restaurant just next to it, but found this Japanese restaurant and decided to go in. The food was perfect, portion sized were good and they did not hold back on putting salmon in the dishes. We will definitely be back.“
“Good sushi joint. The rolls were of considerable size. I had the Mizu Jumbo and Green Dragon roll. They were delicious. For dessert, I had their Res Bean ice cream. I've never had it before but it wasn't so overwhelmingly sweet. It was right in the middle when it came to sweetness. It’s a large portion good for two, the ice cream. The place is considerable in size with covered outside seating. It's on a corner of a major street so it can be loud outside. The parking space is shared with outer establishments so it's tight. But I highly recommend this place.“

“I ate here last weekend and I still haven't been able to stop thinking about it. The food was exquisite, some of the best sushi I ever had. They also were doing a kakuni dish as the special of the day that was so rich I saw stars. Great service, DBZ songs playing on speakers, such a fun time. There was a little bit of a wait since it was a Friday night, but it was absolutely worth it. Excellent all around.“

This location has a nice atmosphere with a large interior, a nice outdoor space with fire heaters, as well as a bar inside.I have only tried a few food items here, but have always enjoyed getting the protein bowls (pictured is the “Mexican Grill” bowl with shrimp from tonight).Some of the cocktails are tasty as well. We recommend trying one or both of the cocktails with passion fruit.Just wanted to throw a positive review out there since we’ve been here at least five times now, and I got a couple nice photos of our food today! ?“
“Everything we tasted was delicious and very nicely prepared. Service is very attentive. Yes the price tag is on the higher side but for the quality you get, it is actually very reasonable. And I am speaking after having to try several omakase places in the area, including in San Francisco. Ambience is simple and understated. Highly recommend it.“
