“The amazing thing was the super fresh, raw tuna. I haven't eaten something so delicious in a long time.Also very child-friendly, service was unnaturally attentive, a bit annoying. The plates would be snatched away from us immediately after the last bite... and given back immediately after a sip of water... This made us a little uneasy.“

“Sushi Shin is an amazing premium sushi experience. The seafood is extremely high quality. Most fish are from Japan but are super fresh. Seasonality of seafood is also emphasized. Highlights of the meal were "fish cheese" and monk fish liver. The space is cozy and elegant. Sake list is quite impressive. Chef was fun, personable, and did a great job on explaining the food. Service is top notch as well.“

“I had a early dinner with friends decided I would take them to one of my favorite restaurants for the seafood the FOOD was excellent as always!I usually do take out and have sat inside for lunch service was not so great to get a water it took our waitress about 20 mins the michelada I ordered looked sad a beer with ice and lemon is all I got plus with a attitude. The shrimp Michelada another 15 mins was told by the waitress because the shrimp need time to be cooked Lol…. So everyone else had their drinks minus one person, The outdoor patio is not recommended for more than 2 people it was uncomfortably hot specially all the way down in the corner I had never been outside before the benches are way too small I believe they are made for children for 4 adults definitely not I recommend this place for the food but not for the ambiance the place has a swamp cooler and no air conditioning at all indoors where if you go at the wrong time you will not enjoy your food outdoors is even worse with swamp cooler and no air circulating ( patio is packed to the last spot behind the door and in the corner under the swamp cooler. They should open up the tent to allow the air in not just the doors.“

“First time trying this place and it’s now our favorite place for sushi in the Bay Area. TLDR food is fresh, their service is awesome, space is a bit tight. We ordered a deluxe chirashi and a oh baby box for two of us. They both came with a free miso soup. Food is fresh and we are very happy with the portion. A big highlight of the dinner was the service here. The sever was very patient when explaining the menu for us and gave us extra napkins to hold the tea cups since they were very hot. We also asked for extra wraps for the sushi box and were given a lot (and they have soy paper here too!). It seems that they also do takeout with pretty good packaging. We will definitely come here again!“

“Been coming to Higuma since the original owner and the place has certainly gotten better with the new owner. Food and the decor are much better now, but as a result the place is even busier than before. Totally worth the visit, just once or many more times.“

“My family loves the food for takeout it’s our go-to for dinners as well as parties, and my husband and I love to go and sit at the bar. Sushi is excellent, prices are very fair and chef always has a surprise for us. Big big fans of Asya!!!!“

“Love this restaurant. We know the owner, who is also the sushi chef, and we have been eating food from this restaurant but mostly order to go. It has plenty of items on the menu. I like the tempura. It is cooked nicely. The sashimi is fresh, and the hamachi roll is unique. The special ramen has thick chewy noodles, which is good. The soup is not that heavy. It is interesting that it has a scallop. It is yummy. Overall we are satisfied with our dinner.“

“We have been coming to Sakura since it opened. We have celebrated many birthdays including mine and my 10 year old boy's bday last week. The food has been always delicious and consistent. The food is fresh and the showmanship is AMAZING!!! All of us adults and kids love the chef's skills and tricks. I totally recommend this place for a entertaining family fun with delicious food. The only negative is the bathroom cleanliness and maintenance. Please put more love an attention to the bathrooms, after all everything counts for a perfect experience.“

“This place rocked! We both got the special bento for $32 pp (+ tax/tip) and got a surprisingly delicious combination of various Japanese classics. I found everything was above the mark for expectation. The teriyaki beef was particularly impressive, as it was tender and cooked medium rare - something I've never seen before at this pricepoint or even close to it. The sushi was solid, particularly the white fish, and the tempura was also tasty. Not only was the food great, but I swear it all was served in ~5 min from ordering. I don't know how they do it, but they're on fire!“

“Probably the only restaurant that eat from on a regular basis. Great sushi, reasonable prices and a fast and accommodating service. What more can one want from a restaurant?Update: prices have gone up significantly from before COVID. Some things probably close to 70%.I just ordered for two, take out with a price of 70. That said the roll which I got was amazing, I have never seen such huge rolls with such a high quantity of fish in them.So, this will become a treat, rather than a regular fare, but the treat will be worth it.“
