The bartender Jo, is straight outta Ireland (Northen Ireland I tinks... ;) She pours the perfect pint of Guinness and keeps the pub running smoothly.... “Myself and my spouse have been eating here for the last 6 or so years now. I can say the quality of the food, staff and overall restaurant is great! It's an intersection of locals, folks who are "in the know" and tourists it seems like, emphasis on locals. I generally don't think that is always the tried-and-true sign of a good eating establishment, but in this case it certainly rings true. Their portions are great, the quality and consistency of the food is great. It's a bit of a vestige of an older era of restaurants/bars that simply served good food, a vibrant bar, and a little bit of something for everyone. I think perhaps due to ownership, kitchen staff and waitstaff they've really been able to keep it at a very good quality while not having to reinvent themselves or update to modern "culinary experiences" that many of us are used to seeing today in newer establishments. It's really worth checking out- it's unpretentious, offers consistent, quality food and great service.“

“This is the most perfect bar. The bartenders are so great and don't even get me started on the food. I'm not local, so when I'm in town I make it my top priority to come here for a patty melt. This may sound dramatic to some, but if you get it then you get it. To most people it is just a patty melt, but to me it is a beacon of hope and a reminder that there is good in this world. “Came in looking for some sort of breakfast before hitting a whale watching tour. A lot of the other local restaurants had more than a 30 minute wait. So I ordered their breakfast burrito which has eggs, cheese, bacon, hashbrowns and usually salsa but I had that taken off. It was very fulfilling. The type of hashbrowns. They used also included peppers and onions, which gave it a little bit of a flavor. Definitely worth the price.“

“Ordered New York & Shrimp to-go, white rice w/vegetables adding Miso soup. White rice was the best part, don't get me wrong the food was good just not worth $45.14. The Teriyaki sauce tasted like it was made by a white guy trying too hard to cook Japanese food.The vegetables were cooked perfectly! I became a bit spoiled for Japanese food in HB from eating at Matsu (Beach & Talbert) since 1978, but this was okay food, I really can't complain much. I am wondering why at 7:30PM on a Wednesday night the dining room was a ghost town?!?It was the best Japanese food I've had on Beach Blvd. in HB for a long time. Matsu has gone downhill since it changed ownership in the 90's, but I think I found my new favorite Japanese restaurant to eat at in HB.I think I was happy with my food overall, I'll give it a solid 7 out of 10. If the staff were a bit more friendly, I'd give you another point, let's see what happens the next time I visit this restaurant.Good job people. ?Parking: This restaurant is located in the old HB Fire Station across the street from Taco Bell, plenty of parking but would be better if it had a little bit more lighting.“

Shannon, the owner, was manning the bar and her welcoming presence added to the overall good vibes. “An amazing local bar. Was here both Friday and Saturday night. The Security does their job while still maintaining a comfortable atmosphere for the customers. I have traveled all over the world and honestly The bartenders here are the most professional and friendly I have ever seen. Drinks were great. The crowd was very friendly and welcoming. “You will be very surprised that this place has crab legs at the same price and quality of Captain Jacks which is up the street and not easy to get a table at. My order was take out due to some unique circumstances of the evening but I'm so glad I found this secret because it was surprisingly delicious and affordable. “We were greeted almost the moment we stepped through the front door. After sliding into a booth, our server, Sara, graciously took drink orders. After reviewing their ample menu, we settled on grilled cheese with soup and one of their specialties, fish and chips. The kettle chips that come with the sandwich were amazing! Good tomato soup and hearty cheese portion on the sandwich. Crispy batter on the fish which included fresh coleslaw. Their Happy Hour is from 4-7pm M-F. “First time here, it was a Wednesday, not too crowded, amazing staff and amazing service. Loved the atmosphere, parking lot is small, but still was able to park. Also, great options on the bar back and menu. Didn’t eat here so can’t judge the food. Bathroom is around back, and a little sketchy as a single female, especially after drinking. Just be safe and aware of your surroundings. Ultimately highly recommend and would return.“

“A nice place to grab an adult beverage and watch a game or two. Suna and Dana are awesome!! We had a great time here people watching and having some drinks. The food is decent and the drinks are strong. They have many tv's to watch your favorite team or NASCAR. Wish they had live bands here, looks like they have a stage for it.“
