“I love this place. Every time I come here they are so friendly. And their food is truly the best. A fusion of Thai, and Chinese cuisine. My favorite dish is the butter garlic crab with french fries. If you order it with a side of garlic noodles it's truly amazing. Their spicy Fried rice has chicken and shrimp in it and is actually very original in taste. Stephanie and Allie have always treated me well. This place is a gathering point of this particular community and most importantly, it's open very late. When everyone else is closed, this is the place you go to for gourmet food when you don't want to have a slice of pizza or fast food. I have met so many good acquaintances here. And this is where I bring guests that are flying in from out of town first. They are right next to the airport......“
“Ordered hot and spicy pork noodles - delicious, tasty but not at all spicy. Despite no heat, taste was very good - noodles were perfectly cooked, veggies were bursting with crunch and taste and pork was done well too and did I mention not spicy!! I also ordered the shrimp pork dumplings- spectacularly fresh! The place was packed on the night I dined in - indicative of its popularity! Only regret is that I didn’t have a bigger crowd with me to sample more of the menu!“
“I recently visited Basecamp (Nepalese restaurant) and had a delightful experience. The vegetable Momos and kale chaat were particularly outstanding, with their flavors and textures blending perfectly. They were definitely the highlights of the meal. I also tried the vegetable tofu chowmein, which was decent but didn't quite match the excellence of the Momos and kale chaat. However, the restaurant offers a wide variety of vegetarian options, which is impressive. Compared to other Nepalese restaurants I've been to, this one stands out for its flavorful and tasteful dishes. I would highly recommend trying their vegetable Momos and kale chaat for a delicious culinary experience and other dishes as well.“
“Must try!! I love this restaurant! Amazing food, lovely ambience, great service and staff :) every time I come here I always have a good time. Thank you to Sung and everyone at Kothai for a great birthday dinner!! Bonus - its right on the N haha ❤️Dietary restrictions: They offer vegan and vegetarian options“
“Everything about this restaurant is incredible. Before you even walk in the door, you can watch them making the dumplings, which is so cute. When you order, they come almost immediately back with drinks, even if it's tea. I cannot recommend the xiao long bao enough. They're so tasty, and so soothing after a windy day in San Francisco. Although it is a little pricey because portions are small, it's worth the splurge.“
“The space was much larger than I anticipated so plenty of room to spread out. Love the Friday hours where they don't close after lunch so I don't have to hurry to get there. Staff was attentive and super friendly and we really enjoyed the food. If, like us, you just want them to bring the food - order at once and they bring everything when it is ready. Since some of the items come to the table super hot this allows some time to cool down. If you want things more in courses, stagger your order. We enjoyed a Foggy Day IPA, the Xiao Long Bao (probably my fav), Pan-fried Pork Buns (wait, this might be my fav), and Chicken with Shiitake Mushroom Dumpling. So fun to share and can't wait to go back and try more. I would like to know who thought Country and Western was the right choice of tunes to set the stage.“
“Was looking for a new place to try with a friend today and stumbled upon Prime BBQ. Really nice joint in a quiet part of San Mateo, with some surprisingly tasty skewers at fair prices! Design of the restaurant is nice, and presentation of the food was great. My friend really liked the Chicken skewers, but I personally loved the lamb and beef skewers!! They also have proper bar inside for those who drink :) Would recommend checking out and having a fun night out“
“10/10 this place is hidden gem The price is so affordable and i would say all the meat is really come in high quality! They even provide free lobster tail that's crazy! In that price 40$ something both hotpot and grill comes with wagyu beef! You will never find anywhere like this in sf in this price !!!“
“One of my favorite places in the city. Everything but the roasted chicken/fried rice is outstanding (they don’t have a big menu). The roasted chicken and fried rice are average. Their price has increased by 20-30 percent compared to about two years ago. So sad that inflation got to this little neighborhood restaurant too. Highly recommend their spicy chili sauce, it makes everything better. For this particular location, there’s probably not a good ventilation system so you might walk out smell like the smoke from cooking. Their other location on clement st has better air. Will still come back in the future.“
“I wanted some dumplings and ended up on Irving Street. I wanted to try some mini dumplings, especially on a rainy day. I walked and was greeted right away with a menu. The place has an area for sitting down, and I see people enjoying the noodles. My order was to go, but they offered me an empty table to sit at with tea while waiting. The taste of the mini dumplings is fresh.“
“Don't know what to eat, but want a quick and delicious meal?Paik's Noodle is such a solid option. Food is good. Portions are generous. My favorite would have to be their classic Jajangmyeon/Black Bean Noodle. The noodles are nice and QQ. The sauce is well seasoned and flavorful. It has a unique flavor from the fried black bean paste. Generous sauce portion too. I always have leftovers and add it on a bed of hot rice the next day. Love that they give you a side of pickled radish as a palate cleanser. Their jjampong and tangsuyuk is pretty good too.Staff are nice. Food comes out pretty quickly. Only thing to keep in mind is that the food court can get really busy during peak times making it hard to find a seat. Overall, 4/5.“
“3.5 starsGood food for the price. It's family style, large dish portions. Don't expect fully authentic but something close to it. The service is quick but unprofessional. Bathrooms are not well maintained (dirty, no paper towels, dirty paper towels all over the floor).“
“De.Lish.Us. Worth the wait for sure. Want sure how to eat it since they brought me a giant spoon, so used it to mix it up then used my sticks. Was super hot (temperature) but tasted great! I'll be back. (Can we turn the heat up inside, though?)“
“Chicken Rice ($14.75) poached chicken, rice, steamed greens, kmg sauce, ginger scallion sauce, & chicken soup: My second time having this! Love that they give both chicken breast and chicken thigh. I love chicken thigh so I always eat the breast first haha I wasn't a fan of the sauce on the greens, I prefer eating it with no sauce. The rice is super flavorful and they cook it using the chicken fat. It's a super hearty bowl and super filling!“
“We were craving skewers but ended up here by chance. Well-known for the dry pots but we ended up ordering items that were far from it. We ordered lamb and beef skewers, smashed cucumbers, beef roll, dan dan noodles, wontons in chili oil, XLB, and custard buns. It was quite busy on a Saturday night, and the food did not disappoint. Plenty for 3 people to share. The highlight were the beef rolls, despite being small in size they were packed in flavor and crispiness. A runner-up would be the XLB, super thin wrapper and lots of juice/filling inside which was perfect for a cold night.“
“Came here for a dine-in dinner for my birthday celebration on a Friday night. It was also my first time here and glad to try its malaban (without soup) & malatang (with soup). There were quite some customers and we waited a bit for our orders to be served. The staff/store owner seemed pretty friendly and welcoming. We had a fun time there, although the medium spicy was really spicy for my friends, so I'd say go for non-spicy soup base or flavor if you're not great at handling authentic Chinese spice.“
“Went for lunch on Sunday at 1pm after it was recommended by a friend for having good dimsum. We thought there would be a wait but there were a few open tables so we were seated immediately. The service was attentive and the food came quickly. Go for the food, not the ambiance. The menu isn't as extensive than a dimsum restaurant, but we appreciated the variety. Our favorites: * String beans - crisp and flavorful!* passion fruit aloe green tea - refreshing! * pork belly with charcoal buns - my son who loves Peking duck said that he would rather get these now. Not sure if the charcoal buns are supposed to taste different than normal bao - they tasted the same to us. * braised beef noodle soup with wontons - delicious shrimp wontons and a very beefy broth. * pan fried soup dumplings - tasty filling and lots of soup to slurp up. Next time we would skip: * cucumbers - too vinegary. Seems like they may have accidentally poured too much vinegar in our serving. At least that's my hope. * beef kimcheese rice - more tomatoey than kimchee flavored. * XLB trio - couldn't really tasty the truffle flavor. I wish we could order just the crab ones. The others weren't that amazing.“
“I could eat here everyday. Everything hit the spot. GET THE BRAISED PORK IN BROWN SAUCE!!! I'm also a huge fan of salt and pepper fish -- I get it at every Chinese restaurant and this place is my favorite by far. Chefs kiss. I really liked their beef fried rice -- they cooked the egg different from other places so I enjoyed that too. Service was quick and they were all super nice. Restaurant was a good sized room and it wasn't too loud. Outside the restaurant, they played acoustic music which I liked - made the wait time go by much faster. Can't wait to come back!!!“
“Usually get the banh mi sandwiches here that are very good with delicious bread and generous fillings. The price is more than usual for banh mi, but that’s the Ave for you. Strangely due to it being a Vietnamese cafe, they have a lot of Japanese curry dishes here as well.“
“For a mall food court type of restaurant, it's definitely not bad at all. Came here a few times and food are all great. Crispy shrimp dumplings are the way to go. Prices not bad either, customer service is also great. I grew up near the mall and the previous business before this place opened up closed down pretty quick. Hope this one stays around for a long time“
