“Thai tea is basic, it's reliable, but I wanted to be adventurous and try the green thai tea. I asked them what the difference was, and was told it was a little more floral but it's similar but different depending on who you ask. In my opinion, it was quite different from normal thai tea. It definitey was more floral, but still subtly floral in the general sense. I got it with less ice and 70% sweetness, which was perfect. I do love floral and strong tea tastes and this really hit the spot. It feels like it's high in caffeine content. Tasty! My friend had the coffee drink, which he liked. I tasted a little bit of sea salt in there. The inside of the eatery is pretty big, with an entire back area (where the bathroom is) that you might miss if you're just coming to grab a drink to go. It's a nice place to sit and have long chats with friends.“
“Honey milk tea w/ mini boba & mango popping boba (left), Rose milk tea w/ mini boba (right) and sweet potato fries. Loved both drinks! This has been my go to place for boba drinks but for the fried snack options, I wish they were less greasy.Highly recommend the additional topping of mango popping boba for a fun little kick to the drink. They also have the option for a strawberry popping boba.“
“Food and service were great, as always. Ginatang dessert is one of the best I have ever tasted. They can make special dishes, like I did with kawalisilog. The gulaman sago (the original boba drink) was great! We also got free soup while we waited for our order. We always go here when we're in the area; we live over an hour away. There are parking in the rear if you can't find street parking at front.“
“Lovely little restaurant, amazing place for bento boxes. We tried a chicken katsu bento with a spicy tuna roll, edamame, wakame, gyoza and white rice. The chicken was made to perfection, moist on the inside and not dry at all. We tried boba strawberry milk and Thai iced tea which were great as well. The owner Yoyo was extremely friendly and accommodating, she is a ray of sunshine that makes this restaurant an absolute gem of a place that you'd want to visit again and again.“
“At the end of the meal, one dish stood out as something truly special--the charred cabbage salad. The name is totally not inspiring, right? But trust our whole table of foodies that you will want to order this and have an entire order to yourself. I wouldn't ruin the surprise beyond that. Another dish that's yummy is their shrimp/pork toast. 2 toasts per order. I was a bit incensed the restaurant wouldn't allow adding a toast for a party of three. Please, u can do better. For those liking something subtle, try their porridge of the night. Fyi, we were told it was times up after 90 minutes of dining. Ya, I don't believe that's following industry standards. Maybe next time, I'll just walk-in and have that salad at the bar and be done and happy.“
“Go now for brunch before it blows up!!!Omg not only are their brunch items so aesthetically beautiful they are DELISH!!!We had the fluffy cakes, the Benedict Sando, and the 1398 Rancheros. The Benedict Sando was deconstructed- sandwich and then a dish of delicious poached eggs in mustardy hollandaise sauce. Wow!! The bulgogi on the rancheros was delicious and sooo flavorful, and spiced very mildly- not too spicy at all. The fluffy cakes stole the show. I even used a few of the dry cakes to sop up my Benedict sauce. Yum yum yum!!!!Also service was great, not slow at all, and super attentive. They ran out of the Thai iced tea and replaced it immediately with another beverage. Very thoughtful.“
“Excellent food and service at this Chinese/Vietnamese restaurant in the Sunset area. We shared a set menu of Roasted Dungeness Crab that came with a small but delicious Cabbage Chicken Salad (Goi Ga), Imperial Rolls (Cha Gio), and buttery Garlic Fried Noodles. The Fried Chicken Wings were crispy but on the sweet side. The food came out promptly and our waitress was friendly and checked on us frequently. Prices were on par with other similar SF establishments. Reservations are recommended, as the restaurant was full on a rainy weeknight when we were thefe. Parking was rather hard to find, so give yourself time, or better yet, don't drive!“
“I was very excited to eat Filipino food again for the first time in years after I stopped eating meat. ✨ This location was very clean, there's standing coubterop seating inside and plenty of patio seating in the back. During dinner rush, I've seen a line even during weekdays. ⚡ The staff is friendly and the food was ready quickly. ? Got the Señor Sisig Bowl with tofu, medium spicy, and it was OK. The flavor overall was sweet, not savory enough, missing acidity to brighten it up. I don't like sweet chili sauce and it tasted and looked like the tofu was marinated in it. The garlic rice wasn't garlicy. The medium spice level was nice, not too spicy for a whole meal. I'd try the vegan chicken next time. ? Pretty good value, ~$14 + tax“
“I have eaten here four times now and every meal is incredible, and for an airport hotel restaurant, truly unbelievable. The hotel is lovely in every way, miles beyond the alternatives. But the restaurant is one of the reasons I stay here whenever I have a morning flight. Tonight had the lobster miso bisque, and the seared scallops, and I don't think I've had better versions of either in a decade. The scallops and the lobster were as tender as they could ever be and the flavors were amazing. Service and ambience is great too. They have wines by the glass that you normally must pay for a bottle - and a first rate twist on a Paper Plane if you're a cocktail person. Be sure to get a table by the window to watch the planes...“
“We were there yesterday for. Bday dinner ! The food is very good. The owner is an amazing guy who gave us a fried tofu dish to try for free which was the best tofu I had ever eaten. Service is great!! The place is simple . More weekday ! But heck ! This is a place where food is king !“
“Delicious vegan food, friendly and helpful waitstaff. Not a fancy place - decor, menus, furniture all worn and low-key. But it's what's inside that counts, and what's inside are novel and creative vegan takes on dishes from around the world, including Argentina, Thailand, Mexico, Central Asia, Japan, and the US.“
“The pancakes and chicken waffles are expertly prepared, arriving fresh and hot. Upon discovering this spot, I noticed the lengthy queue, so you know it’s good and worth the wait. Arriving before the noon rush ensured a peaceful atmosphere. The staff is incredibly friendly, clearly passionate about their craft. The flavors were delightfully infectious, and the sauces were generously portioned. The wings were perfectly crispy without being greasy. Coming back with friends.“
“My wife and I went to Outer Orbit for the first time recently on a date night. The food was great, the prices were reasonable, the staff were attentive and the ambiance was light and fun. I highly recommend checking it out. Parking can be an issue, (It's the mission district) it is what it is... 4 out of 5 stars “
“UPDATE: Love the food, I always bring friends here when they come to visit for brunch. Ive ordered bacon flight, deep fried french toast, wedges, crab benedict, two eggs, franciscan scramble and the lemon ricotta pancakes. Bottomless only works if both people get, but their other mimosas and coffee are great too!Love the food, always order delivery if I cant do dine in. But it was very cold with both doors open for dine in.“
“Hula hoops staff happily accommodated our large group of 14 on a rainy Saturday night at a very last minute request. They have offered 1000/10 service to the group despite a full house, and have provided amazing food and drinks! Hands down amazing fusion of hawaiian and filipino food.Their drinks are 10000/10!!!“
“Fantastic dumplings. We had Dan Dan Noodles, Mission Chicken Pot Stickers (which were yummy!), Tempura Mushrooms, Sichuan Mala Pork Soup Dumplings XLB, Sichuan Dumplings in red oil, Five Spice Tempura Silken Tofu. I usually don't like spicy food but the spice level was manageable.“
“Amazing restaurant! Prices are great, so that you can try a few dishes in 1 visit. I tried the maguro bowl and champignon mushroom pasta. The maguro bowl was okay. I felt like more soy sauce on the tuna would've been better. The champignon pasta was amazing--smoky and perfectly seasoned! On a weeknight, they only have 2 servers serving ~20-25 people during rush dinner time. Service will be a bit slow, but all the more to tip each server more.“
“Upon entering, the setting was cozy, dimly lit, and there were modest decorations. The waiter bowed and greeted us with a friendly smile. Though they were the only one serving, so it was slightly slow; understandable though. They were still very polite and helpful. Food was light, healthy, and tasty. Samosas were probably the healthiest samosas I've ever had. We also ordered the Pad See Ew (vegetable) as well as brown rice with sweet and sour veggie chicken, which were both sooo delicious. It was fairly busy on a Saturday at 7pm...almost a full house. Overall, great experience. The food tasted and felt like exactly what a body needs! So tasty and healthy. Prices were also fair. I would definitely recommend this place.“
“Excellent hot pot. The customer service was very friendly and quick to remove our empty plates. The meat qualities were exceptional. We also loved being able to order food with our phone, but just the essentials, there is a nice Buffett to go up and grab vegetables, giblets, snails, tripe, noodles, sauce bar, even a nice $3 juice bar.Really enjoyed their special house sauce. They sauce bar had some super good choices. The soup broths were so delicious. Really clean bathroom.Just an overall top notch hot pot place!“
“Fast, consistent, convenient, easy, delicious. Super straightforward to hop in and out with an udon on an off day shopping at Stonestown. Very good quality food for the price! My one thing was that the corn add-on comes cold so you have to warm it with the soup, but otherwise every bite was solid. You have to get the tempura ofc...all of them hit but I love the squid :)“
“There are so many options on the menu, and I just wish I could try them all someday. Every single dish is nearly perfect, with some tasting even better than those in the original country. The food here is accessible even for first-timers and those who have never had Asian food before.I’ve heard that the chef is an expert with extensive professional experience in Japan, which reflects in the choice of ingredients that perfectly complement each dish’s flavors. Not to mention the high quality of their service; all the staff are prompt and friendly, well-trained, and equipped with knowledge and experience, ensuring customers have a comfortable and enjoyable time during their visit. It’s the perfect place to recommend, invite, and gather with your friends and family at any time!“
“Great food and great service. The curry sauce that comes with the fries is really good, and the hanger steak is fire. The peppers onions and mushrooms it’s served with are really good, and the mint chutney is a fantastic addition. Everything came out quickly, and they also packed up our leftovers for us which was awesome.“
“This super cool lounge style bar with yummy bar bites in the sunset district is the only one of it's kind on the west side of the city. The beautiful interiors have tons of seating options for groups large and small. The atmosphere is lively while still feeling laid back. The open room can get loud when busy but remains feeling intimate and cozy in the booths. Warm enough inside to get dressed up on the weekend while still casual for afterwork drinks. I absolutely adore this place and cannot recommend it highly enough.“
“I only wish any of my uncles or titos could cook like this.Maybe an auntie or a tita could, but I dare not say anything bad about their cooking. Ever. Seriously. For those who know, you know.Back to this spot :Lechon is the best I've had in a while. Crispy morsels of pork belly that have that perfect balance of meat, crunch, and rendered fat. Portions are suppose to be more than bite size but it was so good, there's no way you don't eat it whole.Wings are ok. Sauced nicely but the breading is a little heavy. What really caught my attention was the all purpose sauce. To me, it's like a creamy adobo sauce and is crazy delicious. And all purpose doesn't nearly begin to describe what this sauce can be used for. To date, I have yet to find something it doesn't make taste better.Service, for the time being anyway, is pretty good considering it's a shared space.Lastly, the ambiance is at times a sports bar with all the tvs at times but then looks like (from a ton of IG pics) a karaoke party. Either way, fun.Anyways, I look forward to their new location.“
“I go to wooly pig at least once a week - either for dine in or takeout. I’ve gone for work lunches, dinner with friends, and takeout dinner to eat at home. I love the curry udon with fried chicken and the Asian chicken salad. Honestly I wish I could have this for dinner every single night! The employees are also incredibly friendly and amazing!!“
“Came here on a Thursday for my friends birthday. We sat at the counter & next to us was another party of 2. I believe they only open up the reservations for a certain amount of people so it's not too overwhelming. The food exceeded my expectations. I was pleasantly surprised with the different flavors that were incorporated. I have already made another reservation to come here for my birthday. Their chawanmushi was soft & memorable topped off with uni & abalone, i could eat a giant bowl of this. The chef was nice and talkative. I will definitely be back.“
“I've had my eye on this spot for a couple of months and I'm so glad I gave it a try. What caught my attention was their fried pork chop over rice. Pretty huge portion for $13.95. I got it with curry sauce and it did not disappoint. The curry didn't taste like the typical Japanese curry with a lot of spices.. it's more like the HK style cafe curries.. idk man but I loved it. I do wish it came with a little more sauce because I'm a sauce drinker LOL. The pork chop had the perfect amount of batter and it was perfectly crispy and seasoned. So tender. Came with a bed of white rice and cabbage/salad.Once you walk in, you can order from the kiosk or online. Then they'll call your order when it's ready. Basically you can choose to dine in or dine out because it comes in a to go container for convenience. Overall, solid spot. 4.5/5. Would come back!03.06.2024 | Wednesday @12:40pm“
“Great food and excellent service. We had the tea leaf salad, Tonkatsu Ramen and Japanese curry. The Tonkatsu was tender and the breaded coating was crispy and flavorful. We were very happy with the curry and tea leaf salad. You can taste that everything was fresh and the portions were plentiful. We were stuffed and gladly ate everything because it was delicious! The owner is very nice and you can tell she cares about quality. We'll be back.“
“My husband and I stumbled upon this place while searching on yelp and driving along HWY 1. It is such a cute tucked away cafe overlooking the ocean. Literally, amazing views!! The owner, Jocelyn, was such a delight to talk to. And her food was even more amazing! We had the tocino plate, adobo loco moco and the bibingka pancakes. We forgot to rate pictures of the first two dishes, but the pancakes, AMAZING. We definitely are going to be visiting more!“
“The Dumpling House is a great restaurant to eat dumplings. I have visited many times and always love to eat there.Sometimes it gets busy, but the service is usually fast.Personally, I do not like that they do not have printed menus and you can only order on your phone.Highly recommended.“
“We arrived toward the end of lunch hour but actually beat the crowd. After we got seated (within moments of arriving), everyone else started showing up, so we were lucky to get in and place our order when we did. This place is a contender for some of the best fried tofu I've ever had. It was super crispy on the outside and firm and juicy on the inside. A true delight to eat. I enjoyed the eggplant as well. It was packed with flavour but fortunately not too garlicky, an issue I've noticed with stir-fried eggplant at other places. The only downside to my meal was that the rice was a bit soggy and lacked the typical aromatic flavour of jasmine rice. Overall though, this place was a solid lunch option, and I'll be back soon for more delicious tofu and eggplant.“
“We had always only come for dessert here and the Mango Bliss is a standout. We decided to try the dinner here as we love the "Midnight Diner" type ambiance and the one woman show. And we were blown away - she's such a gifted chef.First to come out was the claypot pork belly with fish and tofu, piping hot, fresh and perfect home cooked taste with a bowl of rice. The short rib and oxtail baked rice with tomato and beef back and noodles in curry sauce on hot plate had such rich, memorable flavors with hunks of meat.Least expected was how good the pad Thai and its large portion. It was tasty and fragrant with delicious toppings and the noodles were fluffy, not greasy at all. Much better than the ones served at many Thai places. My partner was very satisfied. We want to be back as soon as we can!“
“Great interiors for dining, the "fiery" ambiance of flames next to each seating area. Pansy (owner) and Allen (wonderful server) made our family experience memorable with the fantastic offerings for hot pot. Repeaters for the future!“
“My husband and I have gone here more than a few times, and the service is amazing, fast, and welcoming. The food is always fresh, hot, and full of flavors. The ambiance feels like home it's family-friendly. Definitely recommend this place to anyone and everyone!“
“I should have left a review many moons ago, but this is one of my favorite places in sf! The food is amazing, beautiful to look out, tastes scrumptious, AND the take out has the cutest markings...I've yet to go to the physical location. It's one of my favorite treats to get for a cuddled night in. The food is warm and flavorful. A few of my favorite sweets are the nutella and the banana cream baos. The chicken bowl is my go to lunch/dinner.“
“I've been coming to this little hole in the wall for over 20 years now. If you like Vietnamese food you'll be happy. Their rice plate specials at lunchtime feature a little of soup that is so delicious and I dream about it. Friendly service too!“
“The food here is really, really good. I came here to eat out with a friend of mine and ordered the house garlic noodles, Dungeness crab, and imperial rolls. I can't say much about the service since they gave me and my friend lots of time to catch up, so depending on what you expect, it's pretty good. That's why I gave service 4 stars. Good, but not exactly outstanding. The atmosphere is really nice. I would personally sit on a patio if it's offered, but that's completely your choice.“
“Super cute tiny spot! We came during rush hour so the wait for our order was 40 mins to an hour. The ladies were super sweet and gave us free donuts though! They're really funny and made it a bit better. The drinks themselves were just the right amount of sweetness and we'd definitely recommend the ube boba drink!“
“Excellent salad bowls clearly prepared by folks who care about providing healthy delicious meals. Came across this place when the owner posted on Nextdoor this weekend. Ordered through DoorDash and the food arrived in great condition. The bowls were very well prepared per our instructions and they even put cute little hearts on the boxes which my wife adored. The owner truly cares about providing the customers a great experience. The bowls were very tasty and portion size was very good. The chicken was perfect, and the sauces (makhani and chaat) were super tasty as well. The waffle egg in a heart shape was not only novel but very appetizing as well. This is a very novel concept and we are big fans. We will certainly order regularly!“
“This has one of the best mohin gha (catfish chowder) in SF. My mom is Burmese and we use too much fish sauce, but I’ve been trying this dish at all the local Burmese restaurants. Other places strain it or make it pulp free, but this one was mealy and very tasty. It came with the right amount of noodles and toppings. The platha and coconut rice are amazing for being standard sides. Other places sometimes seem like they’re giving you day old food, like the rice is compacted and hard. This fluffy coconut infused rice was made by someone who says there’s no such thing as too much coconut flavor. I’ve only ordered off Postmates and there’s no restaurant to eat at, but they do not give utensils unless you ask. Their boxes don’t have air vents for fried food, but we can’t all be perfect.“
“This is one of the better lunches I've had in a long time. The portion size is huge and tastes really good. Simple abs fresh ingredients. The service is quick and everyone was friendly and helpful. I've gotten take out and I've dined in it's definitely better if you have the time to sit down and eat.“
“The bulgogi street tacos at this restaurant offer a delightful fusion of Latino and Asian flavors. The succulent bulgogi is complemented by creamy crema and refreshing cilantro, creating a harmonious blend. Served with chips and lime on the side, the dish presents a thoughtful combination of textures and tastes. Highly recommended for those seeking a unique Latino x Asian fusion experience.Additionally I got “snow ice” as a dessert. It was described as a vanilla frozen dessert in a pouch. Similar to those apple sauces in a pouch that has a twist able pouch. It was delicious and creamy. I recommend you wait about 5 minutes before consuming to let it thaw. Lastly I had a dead phone and they charged my phone in the back and I appreciated that so much while I had my meal. I will definitely be returning.“
“Quality food. However very limited vegetarian options. Spring rolls and the dry noodles (pictured) are the only vegetarian dishes. The dry noodles have no sauce or seasoning. Was just boiled vegetables and noodles! I believe the mushrooms are supposed to impart the flavor. It was hard to eat. They also didnt have any house table sauces. One star less for the vegetarians. Vegetarians should skip this place. Otherwise food quality is good ?“
“I had been here YEARS ago pretty much right when the opened up for lunch plates and didn't remember it being great. I had a place in Pacifica that I really liked so for years I never went back despite the fact that I live only 2 miles or less away. We were in the mood for chinese and decided to go and check it out on a take-out for dinner. Got a dinner special and it was really pretty darn good. If you want to eat healthy then you will probably need to go off the ala carte menu. But the dinner for 2 was a ton of food and we had leftovers for lunch the next day. For me this is more a lunch plate or to-go as the restuarant is pretty low key but in a pinch i would sit there. They were very nice too which was sort of against what our memory was of the place.“
“My order: Beef Kimchi Fried Rice, cheese Balls, Kalbi Tang. The soup had very little noodles and beef and same with the Beef Kimchi Fried Rice they served little bits of beef in it, The cheeseballs were ok. Overall the quality of food was alright.“
“This is the best authentic Chao Zhou style rice noodle wrap and porridge spot in town. I love the Laksa noodle soup as well. Small seating area offers great food selections. They use tiger shrimp for the rice noodle wrap. Very good quality?“
“I was very happy to have a new restaurant open fairly recently on 24th Street in Noe Valley -- and even better, it is so good. I think it's a good idea if you like spicy food and I do. My favorites are the Mabo Tofu with mushrooms and the cherry tomato chow mein. Also love the little fried chicken bites - Laaaazi Chicken. The sweet and sour chicken wasn't for me but that's a matter of personal taste . The staff is always pleasant. You just seat yourself and enjoy the good food. A great addition to Noe Valley.“
“Great Japanese BBQ restaurant. Food is always fresh and consistent. Service is quick. Love the atmosphere too, everybody working is so upbeat and nice. Try to come during their happy hour, good deal and less crowded. Great value all around, always fun experience and our go-to place for family gathering.“
“Great service, and the skewers were great! We ordered a variety of skewers and most of them, though a little pricey, were very nice. We particularly enjoyed the Chicken Thigh with Green Onions, the Bacon Tomato which was bursting with flavour, and the Beef Tongue. We tried the Scallop with Uni skewer, but felt that the flavours didn't work too well with each other. The Curry Gyutan Over Rice dish that we got was a bit disappointing though, as the meat was not that high of quality, so would definitely recommend sticking with ordering just skewers. Great atmosphere and nice seating on both first and second floors. You could also smell the grills of the kitchen, which definitely helped make this feel like an authentic Japanese skewer place!“
“I love this place. Every time I come here they are so friendly. And their food is truly the best. A fusion of Thai, and Chinese cuisine. My favorite dish is the butter garlic crab with french fries. If you order it with a side of garlic noodles it's truly amazing. Their spicy Fried rice has chicken and shrimp in it and is actually very original in taste. Stephanie and Allie have always treated me well. This place is a gathering point of this particular community and most importantly, it's open very late. When everyone else is closed, this is the place you go to for gourmet food when you don't want to have a slice of pizza or fast food. I have met so many good acquaintances here. And this is where I bring guests that are flying in from out of town first. They are right next to the airport......“
