“Always fresh food here! Thai comfort food will make you feel warm and happy!!! The curries are really great. You'll be a regular customer after your first visit.Vegetarian options: We love all of the curry selections, vegetarians will like the yellow curry.“
“Loved our dinner at Nute’s! The gyoza appetizer was incredible, and all the noodle dishes were delicious. The waiter was fast, attentive, and honestly impressive to watch given he was the only waiter. We felt like we were back in Japan with the small tables, paper lanterns, and cozy vibe. Only thing to know is the wait was quite long due to the limited seating- next time we’ll put our name on their list (paper, not yelp) and then get a drink somewhere. Can’t wait to come back and try some of the other noodles!“
“Must try!! I love this restaurant! Amazing food, lovely ambience, great service and staff :) every time I come here I always have a good time. Thank you to Sung and everyone at Kothai for a great birthday dinner!! Bonus - its right on the N haha ❤️Dietary restrictions: They offer vegan and vegetarian options“
“Everything we got here was absolutely delicious and authentically crafted. My party of 4 got a feast of food. One I recommend is the Pad Mango as it is something I have never seen on a menu elsewhere. The Massaman curry was probably my second favorite and the Samosas too!To me everything seemed to have a medium spice to it, so be cautious and ask if you can't handle spice. Good lighting for a nice dinner and great service. We live across the bay but will definitely be coming back!“
“This clean simple Thai restaurant has a nice lunch special that includes soup, spring rolls and a main dish. I had the Panang curry dish with tofu and another day I had the pumpkin curry and it was divine. I waddled out full with a toothpick in my mouth.“
“Upon entering, the setting was cozy, dimly lit, and there were modest decorations. The waiter bowed and greeted us with a friendly smile. Though they were the only one serving, so it was slightly slow; understandable though. They were still very polite and helpful. Food was light, healthy, and tasty. Samosas were probably the healthiest samosas I've ever had. We also ordered the Pad See Ew (vegetable) as well as brown rice with sweet and sour veggie chicken, which were both sooo delicious. It was fairly busy on a Saturday at 7pm...almost a full house. Overall, great experience. The food tasted and felt like exactly what a body needs! So tasty and healthy. Prices were also fair. I would definitely recommend this place.“
“Hands down. This is worth all the good reviews.I recently moved to the Bay Area and was looking for a new Thai place to call my favorite. I'm super glad I came to this one!I had the spicy fried rice, and they were all coated well with seasoning. For those who like spice, although this dish is categorized as spicy, it isn't. It's more like a 3 out of 10 for me.All good. Just ask for chili sauce! My partner and I had the mango sticky rice as well.Portion is small but really good if you aren't trying to roll out of a restaurant!I loved that they fried and salted the mung beans on top of the sweet rice. Together with the semi sour mango, the flavor profile is great!Definitely recommend giving it a try.Price is fair for the portion, and the flavors are well done!10/10! Will be back.“
“A cozy Thai place with absolutely delicious food and fantastic service.Since the food is halal, we could try some dishes we normally don't get, and man were they good.If you're seeing this review, take it as a sign to try this place!Side note: How were the chicken wings so good?Dietary restrictions: Halal available“
“There are so many options on the menu, and I just wish I could try them all someday. Every single dish is nearly perfect, with some tasting even better than those in the original country. The food here is accessible even for first-timers and those who have never had Asian food before.I’ve heard that the chef is an expert with extensive professional experience in Japan, which reflects in the choice of ingredients that perfectly complement each dish’s flavors. Not to mention the high quality of their service; all the staff are prompt and friendly, well-trained, and equipped with knowledge and experience, ensuring customers have a comfortable and enjoyable time during their visit. It’s the perfect place to recommend, invite, and gather with your friends and family at any time!“
“Incredible massaman curry! It's absolutely delicious. The meat was fall apart tender, the potatoes were perfectly cooked, the rice was perfect and not at all dry. The flavors and spice were absolutely on point. I can't wait to eat it again!!“
“Great food place. We have been coming here for the last 5 years. Love the service. This time, we had to go. This time, we ordered pad Thai with shrimp, pad see you with pork, pumpkin curry with chicken and shrimp tum yum gum. Apologize for the spelling.Pad Thai is a little on the sweet side. My son loved it. Pad see you is pretty good, love that heat flavor and not too greasy. The soup was pretty good. However, this time they forgot tomatoes in the soup. Curry pumpkin is a must have dish. Overall, food still good either eat in or togo.“
“One of our favorite Thai restaurants! They have the best Tom Ka Gai soup. The Pad See Ew is super flavorful, we always get the vegetarian option. Yellow curry is great too. They have a nice rice plate lunch special too. Nice atmosphere, good service, and super clean and easy parking.“
“Hot cakes are melt-in-your-mouth wonderful. Curry isn't usually my favorite but the green curry here was so good with just a bit of heat. And the desert with mango is also mouth watering. My sister would come here everydayAnd don't forget the Imperial rolls which are fresh and delicate not greasy.“
“Not busy. Quick service. Simple menu. Chicken was good tasty and crispy. Sauces are flavorful. Rice was cooked well too.Their food certainly lived up to this restaurants name! (Would've been crazy if not). They have more than just simple chicken and rice on their menu actually so I kinda wanna come back more and try out everything. Yay seemed decently fairly priced too I think.“
“Just had the Kha Soi, Mushroom Salad and Coconut Balls. It's rare to find Northen Thai staples like Kha Soi in San Francisco, its flavor dense and complex. I believe it's their specialty. It paired well with the Mushroom Salad. The coconut balls were the perfect finish to our meal. We'll be back.“
“The food was pretty good, the ingredients were fresh but the prices where high. So overall, while I appreciate this restaurant option in our neighborhood, the price will probably keep me from coming back again. We got the chicken wings (excellent flavor), pad Thai with shrimp (pretty fresh, though lacking excitement), Penang Curry (our least favorite dish because its consistency was more of a soup than a curry), and mango sticky rice (we liked it although it didn’t seem authentic as the mango was hard and tasted more like an apple than a Thai mango). The total including tax and tip was $92.Kid-friendliness: High chairs for kids. Hand wash sink outside of the restroom.“
“I went here with my friend around Tuesday at noon and this place was packed! There was only one poor guy manning the entire front and he was definitely overwhelmed. This definitely echoed my experience when I went to White Elephant Thai restaurant (see my review and as this is a sister restaurant, I can't say that I'm surprised. I do feel bad for the servwe as he was waiting on tables, taking orders, and also preparing orders for delivery services too! When it comes to the food, it was definitely great that it was the sister restaurant of White Elephant because the quality, great portion sizes, and authentic flavor is all still there! We ordered the crab fried rice, pad see ew with beef, pad Thai with chicken, and another pad Thai with beef (we were planning dinner to go too hehe). The food came out pretty quick and had tons of flavor. Loved the quality and portions of the food here. As for ambiance, the restaurant is pretty small and has some cool murals on the two main walls. It was pretty packed and people were even waiting outside during this prime weekday lunchtime. As for parking, there is street parking so could be hit or miss! Overall, will definitely come back but would suggest more help for the staff in the front for better efficiency!“
“Champa Gardens on Faxon st off Ocean Avenue, unassuming Thai restaurant with a black entrance door.Inside simply decorated, bench seating tables around two walls and other tables with chairs, bar with some stools on the right, for some unknown reason only one other table occupied that day.Service is fair with no frill. The food is good, well prepared and plentiful, there were four of us, we all picked a different dish and shared. We ordered the Champa sampler, Mango paradise, lad Na noodles, and chicken dish cooked in a red spicy sauce served with haricot vert( al denté)All that food was prepared and served to us within less than 10 minutes. The sampler served with lettuce leaves, with which you make a container to fill with spiced sausages morcel, eggroll and delicious fried rice, that was a meal in itself,Next Mango paradise delicious tender prawn with tangy and sweet mango in a red sauce,Pad kea mow with pork, somewhat a soupy dish served with steamed broccoli, good but not my favorite, last we had that chicken dish in a red spicy sauce served with haricot vert, all good, we ordered also two small bowl of steamed rice, all in all four very delectable dishes for about $75 (before tip) not bad for San Francisco. We will go back and try other dishes.Parking: On Faxon pass the restaurant street parking“
“We’ve been coming to this restaurant for years, and it never fails to impress. The delicious Thai cuisine is a culinary delight, and the staff's kindness enhances the overall experience. The yellow curry is my absolute favorite – a flavorful masterpiece. Five stars without a doubt!“
“Great spot for Burmese food. I love when places already list what is gluten free so it's easy to order (especially helpful for takeout) only ordered 3 dishes. We will definitely be back for the other gf dishesDietary restrictions: Great for gluten free options“
“Amazing food, large portions and very fast service. Went at a quiet time and was very pleased with the experience. Thai tea was delicious.Parking: Along the streets, if your in dire need you can park in the supermarket lot 1/2 mile down the main road“
“Hidden takeout spot inside a spacious Dogpatch building. Loved the larb tofu, the flavors, the crispiness. The broccoli was okay, a bit bitter, almost as if the seasoning was slightly burnt. The curry was very oily, but very delicious. Portions are on the small side, but the low prices reflect that. The person we picked up the food from was very friendly. The menu is limited, but if you're looking for some simple Thai food and flavors, some is better than nothing!“
“Unique Thai restaurant with funky decorations but found the food a bit underwhelming for the price. Tried the motherland curry with tofu and crispy rice salad. Both were good but not great. I liked the flavors in the red curry but I think there's other Thai restaurants in SF with better value for the price. The menu has only a few options for entrees and they were out of vermicelli noodles for the motherland curry so we opted to try it with rice instead. However, the service was great and our food came out quickly.“
“Pretty good, which was all I was looking for.I agree, this place seeks like its best days are behind it, and my dish was inconsistent within itself. But, as someone very picky about Thai food, I was happy with what I got.Service was attentive enough. I was there alone for lunch, so that's what I would have wanted.I would go back.“
“My friends and I come to this place weekly and Manee always remembers us and makes us laugh. Great food too, they have decent vegan options. My favorite is the eggplant tofu. And the brown rice comes in the shape of a heart! So cute. It's a bit pricey ($29 for eggplant tofu and brown rice including tax and tip) but worth it for the experience.Vegetarian options: Anything veggie and get it with tofu“
“Came here yesterday for a work lunch. We were on a time crunch and we let them know. All our dishes came out quickly and were DELICIOUS! I got a seafood stir fry that was amazing, with fresh scallops, mussels, fish. My coworkers got fried fish which was perfectly cooked. Service was outstanding - very attentive. We are already talking about going back!“
“Came here straight from the SFO airport around 9.15pm as almost all (Asian) restaurants were closed at 8 or 8.30pm.Food and service was great. We had garlic prawns, tom yum, fried chicken over fried rice, sticky rice mango and thai iced tea.We left with happy tummy.“
“The first time I actually liked Brussels sprouts so much that I went back for more! Our food was warm and bursting with flavor. It's making me salivate just thinking about it.The lighting was a bit low, but it actually added to the cozy feel. The place was well-decorated, and the crooked paintings with fake cobwebs for Halloween made me laugh. Our server was diligent and friendly, bringing our food in a timely manner.“
“Chicken Rice ($14.75) poached chicken, rice, steamed greens, kmg sauce, ginger scallion sauce, & chicken soup: My second time having this! Love that they give both chicken breast and chicken thigh. I love chicken thigh so I always eat the breast first haha I wasn't a fan of the sauce on the greens, I prefer eating it with no sauce. The rice is super flavorful and they cook it using the chicken fat. It's a super hearty bowl and super filling!“
“I like this place a lot and I'm glad there's another Asian option in the neighborhood (south East Asian of my exact). I've had a few dishes and would like to try a few more. My only critique so far is that the meat could have cleaner cuts (there are big chunks of meat along with small cuts of meat) because it ruins the texture and makes the dish inconsistent.“
“We love this restaurant! This is one of the only places in town that does a good mussamun curry with a choice of protein. Most places require you to order it with beef, but Siam Spoon lets you pick any protein! I've had it with tofu, and my partner has had it with chicken, both are great. The Thai samosa appetizer is delicious. I've also enjoyed all of their various noodle dishes. They are consistently fantastic.“
“I found myself around Valencia late Sunday morning, so of course, I had to do brunch at RAW Sugar Factory. Chicken and Waffles were perfect and balanced for brunch since it comes with fruit. If you like matcha, you've got an option to have it added atop the waffle. It's definitely a must have.“
“Best pumpkin curry I've ever had. The kabocha was cooked perfectly. Service was fast and friendly. A very enjoyable experience.Vegetarian options: I had pumpkin curry but both daughters are vegetarian and were very happy with the selection. It was all delicious.“
“I've stopped by twice now. First I had the Duck Curry and since I don't eat rice I had a Salad. Crazy delicious! The Duck was cooked perfectly, the Curry was out of this world and even the Salad was impressive. I couldn't wait to go back. This time I had the Green Curry with Pork and a Salad. They didn't disappoint! Phenomenal and I can't wait to go back.“
“3.5 starsGood food for the price. It's family style, large dish portions. Don't expect fully authentic but something close to it. The service is quick but unprofessional. Bathrooms are not well maintained (dirty, no paper towels, dirty paper towels all over the floor).“
“One of my favorite restaurants. All the dishes that I have tried so far are delicious. The Tom Yum soup is delicious and the size is big, it can serve 4 people. Tofu pad thai was delicious. The French toast with banana ais soo good. Can't go wrong with the steak and eggs, also the chicken and waffles.“
“I celebrated my birthday today in this delicious restaurant. I am glad to say that we enjoyed a outstanding evening and the venue was undoubtedly the reason for that successful gathering. The stuff cooperated in a splendid manner, the meals were yummy and my guests were extremely joyful. We shall no dout come back again for more events. Thank you very much.“
“Love the big bowl of beef combination noodle soup. It was very flavorful. The service was great. I came on a Sunday at lunchtime. There was no wait, and the staff was friendly and attentive. I was even reminded of a free Thai iced tea with a yelp check-in. Good iced tea too.“
“I had the most amazing experience here! The ambiance is nice, the food is great and service was fabulous. I visited on a day that included a blessing. It was so enlightening to be eating a meal as the monks prayed. It felt so amazing in their presence. There are no words to explain the atmosphere, you had to be present to really feel it. I had the yellow curry and Thai iced tea. It was very good. I felt really blessed to experience this amazing opportunity. I would definitely recommend.“
“April 2024:I've heard about this place for a long time but I was always skeptical about the reviews. I'm now convinced the raves are warranted. The food was excellent! We had the pomelo salad, the eggplant with tofu, the whole branzino and the pad thai with ?.I really liked everything! Pad thai had a great flavor and nice chewy texture. The eggplant and tofu flavors were excellent. The fried branzino was just wonderful. I'd definitely come back again for more delicious ? food! For dessert, we shared the bread pudding with ice cream ?. Super tasty. Definitely will be back soon for another fabulous dinner!“
“We ordered takeout from them and the food was amazing. The turn on time was so fast when we got there we didn’t even have to wait, there is a lot of people in there enjoying their time and the place is beautiful. Next time I’ll try dining in.“
“The Tom Yum soup was tasty. Very good broth. The Tom Yum with noodles was a bit sweet for my palette and not spicy but tasted good too. The soup is big enough for 2 people and sits on a hot plate in the center of the table so it never gets “
“Look, I'll start this off by saying this place has the most delicious Thai food. It is by far my favorite place. But this is even a hesitant 4 star because of their recent portion sizes. For $15 you get a small container of pad Thai that is 1/2 beansprouts, or you get these half filled containers of curry. Whatever size container you're going to use, please fill it entirely.“
“Honestly this place is so delicious!! When you walk in you can see why. The kitchen is small but visibly clean and organized and they are cooking your food FRESH. The spices are also delightful—they use just the right amount—and all the meat is so tender. The owner answers the phone and is really polite, which makes this delicious experience even better. Our go-to for family Thai and Curry!“
“This food is delicious and vegan friendly! And they're so nice and are actually Thai! Sweet basil tofu was had nice basil flavor. The spicy fried rice was soooo good (our favorite) and not that spicy. We also got the mushroom soup and it came in a cute dish. Their presentation of the food is always really pretty. Not that many people inside but has a nice cozy feeling“
“Super yummy! They have a good variety of seafood and vegetarian options! Super flavorful! Be careful of the spice levels, medium was more on the spicier side. Service was great! They are friendly and attentive!Vegetarian options: You can have most items as veggie option“
“Came here on a Thursday evening and their reservation system was really simple! Not a lot of people there either.Good:- Decently fast service and really nice clean interior- Loved the pad c u here with chicken, it was so tasty and the noodles were chewy- The papaya salad was a great texture as well and really good as an appetizer- I was a fan of the Khao soi, it was a huge portion size and the soup was so goodBad:- A little overpriced for Thai food, felt like it was $5 more than other placesOverall really liked this place! It was close to the Barry’s we went to ahead of class.“
“We stopped by on Sunday per the recommendation of a friend. The food is delicious and cheap! The staff are also nice and had a huge variety of food available in addition to the menu. I had the beef noodle soup and it was refreshing with the stock! It was definitely enough for one person and the Pandanus dessert afterward just made the meal perfect. My friend's pork noodle soup and Thai tea was excellent as well. We will definitely come again.“
