“The spicy soup ma la tang here is delicious. This is one the place that we will come back again. The host is amazing and always check in with us with our needs.
Will come back again! Love it”
“The food was great, meat quality was awesome and the spicy broth had the perfect balance of spiciness and flavor. Definitely worth the money! Would recommend to anyone.”
“This place was fantastic 👏🏻 👌🏻. The food was fresh and delicious, and the fresh hot pot 😋 was a treat. Not to mention, I had an invaluable assistant. I had the chicken, beef, and vegetables, and my date had her delicious pork and vegetables dinner.”

“The best Vietnamese Style Lobster and seafood! Always a long queue to be seated. Get here early for best parking and best seating.”
“We drove from Orange County to the restaurant from a Facebook Ad to try the Peking duck and the spaghettI shrimps. It was a delightful experience as everyone was very nice and courteous.”

“Hands down one of the best dim sum restaurants I’ve ever been to. Just took out an order for our road trip and we were blown away. Everything is incredibly fresh and beautifully made. Flavors are so vibrant and delicious. I can’t recommend this place enough!!
The steamed shrimp dumplings, shrimp shumai, and egg tarts were our favorites!”
“The first few bites are OUT OF THIS WORLD! But then the oil and fat from the dry noodles hits and that's when it gets difficult. Definitely recommend the dry noodles, but not for those with high blood pressure. I haven't tried their soup noodles, but they should be good.”
“Visit for lunch or Dinner. If you're lucky, you might have live music on a friday night. On to the food - Gourmet Carribean is a must try! the oxtails, jerk chicken, curry chicken, chick peas and the Friday special, Jerk Salmon. Everything I've tried is delicious. There's a small baker on the other side and I love their Ube cookies! I Highly recommend visiting Blossom Market. Located on the San Gabriel Mission Properties.”
“The Caribbean Gourmet spot inside Boston’s Market Hall offered some truly delicious entrée options. I visited with a friend who recommended the oxtails, curries, and jerk chicken—all of which were incredibly well-seasoned and perfectly balanced in flavor. I’d highly recommend it to anyone, especially since it’s located in an open, food hall-style space that features a variety of other cuisines, similar to a food court but much more upscale.
The setting included a small stage and communal seating, creating a festive and inviting atmosphere, especially with the Christmas decorations for the season. Everything was reasonably priced, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The overall vibe was casual and relaxed yet vibrant, making it a great spot to hang out and savor some amazing food.
Parking on the street was free and plentiful when we went on a Wednesday night after 7:30 pm.”
“Been meaning to eat here forever. Finally, I came in today for lunch. Got the Combo C and the Blossom Roll. I've eaten at all the Japanese restaurants in SGV and Little Tokyo. This one is up there. High quality of food, while flavors go together well without being overpowering.”
“My family came here before, and loved it so much they made us drive 1 hour 10 through LA traffic to come again. All vegetarian (some contain eggs, clearly marked), mostly vegan. First class food. The best was the Vege Fish with Pine Nuts; but even the Chopped Mustard with Tofu Skin was excellent. The other tables were all filled with Chinese people - it looks popular. Updated from previous review on 2025-10-19”
“Came here recently and really enjoyed the hearty, flavorful soup—it had the perfect amount of spice and richness, with fresh ingredients like tofu, green onions, and tender shredded meat. It felt like true comfort food and was definitely the highlight of the meal for me.
I also tried the bossam (steamed pork with tofu and veggies). While it was presented beautifully and came with generous portions, the pork itself was on the dry side for my taste, so it didn’t quite hit the same level as the soup.
Service was friendly and attentive, and the overall atmosphere was warm and inviting. I’d definitely come back for the soup again!”

“I googled "best Chinese in LA" and then this popped up as the #1 place. So we drove - and had a very good meal. However, if you expect the classic Chinese dishes, you will be disappointed. This is Shezuan, "a different animal". So no rice, no sweet-and-sour-this-and-that. So be prepared for very spicy Szechuan food. Noodles. No rice. Try the dumplings, they were delicious. We ordered mild (1 out of 5 spice degrees) and we were burning inside (we had two separate orders of dumplings - but spice grade 1. There is no consistency, so be careful). So if spicy is what you are "in" for, you'll love it. The ambiance is sort of authentic ;-) - the sign on how to use the toilet (outside the restaurant in the alley) says more than words. But then, it was $100 all-in for the four of us only. My advice: I could barely understand the service language. Better check the menu before you go. As we were first-timers, I wanted to share three starters and three mains among the four of us and leave it up to the waitress to make us explore - she did not understand. I asked if they served beer. The answer was "noodles or dumplings". :-)”
“Found the brewery while planning to go to a restaurant across the street. It's nice, clean, and hidden. They have a nice selection of beers you can drink in-house, and they have canned beers to purchase to take home.
Don't come hungry unless you bring your own food.
The staff were wonderful.
Park on the streets.”
“This Taiyaki + Ice Cream place is at the level of other giants such as SomiSomi. The soft serve has a perfect texture (I tried the Pure Milk flavor with a Taiyaki on top, the Taiyaki being filled with Nutella), the service is quick and efficient, and the store was crowded when my two friends and I went on a Saturday evening. The ambiance is great too, there are so many pictures showing what the options are like, and there are clearly-illustrated menus spread throughout the restaurant. The toppings are available for the customers to grab and add to their ice cream as they wish, and everything, from the Oreo crumbs to the Banana chips are great. You can truly feel that every single item in this store is, indeed, made With Love.”
“Came here for an early lunch with family and had quite an awesome time. Raymond was especially accommodating to us asking if we needed a reserved table for our big group even before our whole group arrived. Throughout our time here Raymond was very helpful with all our needs. Kudos to management on having this kind of person helping your customers! Recommend going between 11am - 2pm for their all you can eat buffet.”
“Paris Baguette is a popular franchise bakery cafe located on Las Tunas street in SGV. They offer delectable baked goods — Indulge in Freshly Baked Breads, Pastries, Cakes, Coffee drinks and More. Funny facts, it’s a South Korean owned multinational chain established in 1986.
I ♥️ Paris Bagutte! Always with delicious pastry and really good iced coffee. If I am on my cheat day, PB is my got to place.
It was my first time on this location and it was impressive. It’s located next to a luxury apartment bldg. Indoor seats were comfortable and its atmosphere was relaxing.
I ordered a Cold Brew, Strawberry croissant, Coffee Cronut and Croissant Donut. All items were great in taste and texture. I had a sugar high after eating those pastries haha! Anyways, staff (Isabela) was nice and professional and prices were reasonable and match the quality. Overall, this PB location was good and I recommend you visit.”
“The sushi here is solid. You get lots of pieces and thicker pieces of fish for a good price. My favorite roll was the sunset roll!
My family and I also ordered the tempura ice cream for dessert. It wasn’t the best tempura ice cream we’ve ever had. It could have had a crispier exterior and the ice cream didn’t have a strong matcha flavor.”
“Went on a Tuesday afternoon for a table of two. Service was great and attentive. Dishes came out fresh & hot, even the desserts.
Items ordered:
1. Snow cap bbq pork bun - this was the best thing we ate.
2. Cucumbers - cold, refreshing and a good flavor of black vinegar and garlic. We ordered two of these.
3. Chicken feet - meaty and good flavor, on the sweeter versus savory side though
4. Black bean spare ribs - not seasoned enough and pretty bland, would skip this
5. Shrimp rolls - honestly the worst one I ever tried. Absolutely no flavor in the filling. Recommend skipping to have room for other dishes.
6. Wagyu beef rolls - just a tad better than the shrimp rolls but would also skip
7. Taro cakes - took a while to come out but was super fresh and hot. Not bad but definitely a large order for just two.
8. Ha Gow - average, wished the mustard sauce was better, a bit watery and tasted different than what I am use to
9. Siu mai- average to good
10. Lava buns- came out warm but could be hotter, not too sweet and salty.
11. Egg tarts - average to good
12. Chicken wings with salt seasoning - tasty and came out super hot.
Overall, would come back maybe ideally with 3 people. Would skip most of the dim sum items and try the more lunch items. Dessert items here are executed pretty well. For $20 definitely easy to get moneys worth!”
“Very nice small restaurant selling specialty noodles and some side items. The potato noodles have a firmer texture, kinda like soba, the soup was delicious. Chicken bone was also very good. There was an old couple working there, very friendly. Price was reasonable, highest it goes was $13 for the house special noodle. Overall a great place to try something new and unique.”

“One of the most juciest dumplings in town! Their crab juicy huge dumpling is a must order it’s filled with crab meat and juice it’s burst as soon as u put the straw in! Loved their small dumplings also! Their spicy dumpling with shrimp filling is also a must order! The spicyness is not very spicy so the dumpling taste you can definitely taste!”
“Located inside Sheraton hotel next to the bar area. We tried seafood tasting menu. Food was good but nothing to rave about. Most of the dishes used crab meat for the main or for garnishment: It was overdone. Service was good, nice ambiance although lights were turned off in some part of the restaurant.”
“Fun place to celebrate a birthday. We just celebrated our daughters 16th bday here and it was great! Food is good, their drinks are good, Karoke was fun! My favorite drink is their lychee red bull drink soooooo good! The employees are great! Sooooo helpful and friendly! Highly recommend!”
“I haven't been here in a while, but honestly, why have I not been here more often?!?! Well, I've made up for lost times, and came here twice recently. We ordered the same thing, but depending on the crew, some meat was more cooked, and less soft than last time. But otherwise, still pretty good. I'd still come back.
My only annoyance is being charged $4 for on extra box of rice to go. A little expensive, but I get it.”
“The Pozole was very good, but you don't have much say in what you get because they have the portions already premade. The chips were good and the soup was very yummy. Not the nicest place and parking isn't that great, but the service was excellent and the cook is really kind and likes to joke around, so you might get a dad joke.”
“The review was long overdue and wanted to get this as soon as realistically as possible but I have to say this institution of boba is one of the better ones in SGV! First and foremost, you get house made boba they make in house (which is rare). The owner does it herself from the front. 2nd I had a drink that was made too sweet. Unfortunately, I couldn't go back to exchange so I had to go the next day and well, I got offered for a replacement no issue from the owner. The front staff are always good to me and modifying drinks and taking care of boba business. Cheers to Tea Maru!”

“Wanted to try a new place and I saw pictures of the food and thought it looks good. Went to try it out and just overall all the sushi taste great fresh sushi! They had fried softshell crab and that was one of the amazing dishes we had but everything we had tasted great! Definitely will come back!”

“This place is now owned by a couple who is very nice and honest to customers. They make great chicken deli takeout and chili pepper and garlic paste which I never tasted or even knew both before!
Bouncy chicken skin and flesh and even savory bones... Chicken savory is given back to chicken to the most by pretty simple ingredients which I only tasted salt...
However the specialty Beef rice noodle didn't meet my suppose I'd like to try braised beef rice noodles and zongzi takeout next time”
“Unable to park due to the fact a truck club was allowed to park numerous vehicles in the parking lot, some of the vehicles parked wherever they wanted blocking the driveways and sidewalk. The car wash was conducted at a business across the street. One sure fire way to alienate your neighbors.”
“Fun place for dinner, buy 1 get 1 free beer M-F happy hour. Polite service and all the food came out quickly. The rock crab was just okay not a lot of crab meat but the fish was amazing. Cauliflower and eggplants were really tasty.”
“Delicious food! The spicy crawfish were super flavorful. Loved the sweet rice cakes and the sea snails were fresh and tasty. Have to try the bbq there. Great spot for a meal with friends and family!”

Takeout Restaurants
“Cute homey Japanese vibes. It’s a small restaurant so I can see there’d be a wait on busy days. Luckily we only had to wait about 5 min. The menu is straightforward. Comfort Japanese dishes. Service was great, they’re super nice and very attentive!
The tempura was good, sauce was great too. Katsu was fried perfectly, sauce was tangy and fantastic, just wish the pork was more moist/tender. Karaage was just okay, probably wouldn’t order it again, most of the flavor came from the sauce. My dad loved his eel bowl set, flavored and cooked well. My katsudon bowl was delicious, again katsu was a little dry, togarashi is a must with this bowl. And the cold soba noodles were great, the sauce dip was perfectly seasoned and noodles were perfect texture, very refreshing to eat.
Parking - small free lot! We had no issues getting parking.”
“Nice little place. Drinks are pretty decent. Very minimalist: Seating is only for waiting for your drink. This isn't a place to sit down and have a conversation. You order, wait, pick up and go. Pretty simple. If there isn't anyone at the front, off to the left wall from the entrance is the tablet to order.”
“Was around the area so decided to grab lunch and it wasn't as great as before. We ordered the seafood egg noodle and seafood white noodle, both lacked flavor. I had to add satay sauce to make it taste a bit better. The ice water glasses were dirty as well. I don't know if it's under new owners or new chefs but it wasn't that great. Good thing it was a cheap lunch.”

“For the longest time, this was a very bad Bánh Mì Chè Cali that my friends used to love frequenting. 🙄 I hate my friends for having dragged me every time they were in town. That's why I'm SO ELATED with joy that this place has taken over! It's probably one of the cheaper dim sum options in town, and that's all they specialize in! Not a lot of seats for you to sit, but you get the idea: Take it home, and enjoy it in a familiar environment!
(。◕‿◕。) Ah...!
Are there better quality options? Maybe, but for the price and convenience, don't count these guys out!”
“Stopped in for a boba after visiting my favorite Indian restaurant next door.
I ordered a chrysanthemum, oolong tea with boba, 50% sweet, lite ice.
The boba is delicious and the tea was so flavorful.
Coincidently, the owner’s wife, Cleo, owns Sharp Tea in Little Tokyo, another tea shop that I go to all the time. Sharp Tea is delicious, too, if you find yourself on the Weller Court.
I will return to Why Thirsty again. Everyone here is super nice and have positive spirits.
Thank you, Why Thirsty and Cleo!!
P.S. The air conditioner works very well!! (:”
“Great place to have breakfast - the amount of food for the price seems unbeatable! We went on a Tuesday, and there was plenty of seating. My group of four got Breakfast Specials A (with Beef Congee, Dark Soy Sauce Chow Mein, and Steamed Rice Noodle w/ House Special Sauce) and Breakfast Specials D with Beef Brisket Rice Noodle Roll. We had leftovers to take home.
My group really enjoyed the Steamed Rice Noodle w/ House Special Sauce. They wished the rice noodle roll would be able to absorb the beef sauce better. I enjoyed the beef congee - it's nothing special but it hits my comfort food zone.
I like how we add our own condense milk for HK Milk Tea to adjust to desired sweetness level.”
“My favorite place for traditional korean soups and stews. You can tell all the sides are home-made and can taste how rich the broths are. The portion sizes are also great for the price. Would highly recommend as one of the best Korean spots in the SGV.”
“Popped in because its always time for meat. Loved tge atmosphere, and the language lessons in the bathroom. The food was great. The only downside was lack of my favorite banchan and the high prices of solutions. I'll be back.
With my own bottles. ;)”

“Price is right. They serve quick and dependable powder based boba tea drink that reminded me of college days. They have some other boba drinks too but I kinda like their non-lactose milk teas! I’ll go back and try for the other ones.
What really got me in the door were the pastries! I found the aroma, texture and flavors to have been a good quality!”

“Omg, hands down the best tacos in the 626. And trust me, I’ve had my fair share from TJ Tacos to Tacos El Gordo in San Diego and even Taco El Franc. This spot is legit. The line every night says it all.
This time, I ordered the baked potato with cheese and lengua (tongue). Absolute perfection. They serve it with handmade corn tortillas that take everything to another level. The meats here are packed with flavor. My usual go-tos are the al pastor, cabeza (cow’s head meat), and tripas (beef intestine). Next visit, I’m eyeing the sausages, stomach, and carne asada.
And their salsa? To die for. It’s fresh, spicy, and ties everything together perfectly.
The team here is friendly and clearly takes pride in what they do. You can taste the care in every bite.
They’re parked right on San Gabriel Blvd with a solid setup. The ambiance is just right, and honestly, the only thing missing is some outdoor dining space.
Parking is free and easy on the street.”

“do not let the casual exterior of this building fool you - they're serious about food here. came on a Saturday night and it was packed, but they managed to seat us almost immediately! win. we ordered their lobster supreme, roasted duck, and some scrambled eggs with shrimp. rice and soup came with the meal. the lobster? fresh. delicious. chopped for easy eating ( true lobster monsters know how difficult it can be to eat this crustacean when it is improperly prepared! ) duck? delicious and toasty and very flavorful. and the scrambled egg and shrimp is a good, not too salty, meal balancer. very fluffy and soft. the tea they served was also brewed very well, very fragrant and none of the burnt taste. 10/10 would visit again and maybe try some of the other special meals (I gotta come back for the garlic crab)
edit: they have a complimentary little mango pudding for us 🥹”
“We came with four people. This place offer a variety of Cantonese dishes. Their duck was very good. Their stir fired noodles has a great amount wok 气.
Very reasonably priced. And great portions”

“Love this store very much! Old customer! ! ! ! Recommend Pink Peach Planet! ! ! And their milk tea! ! ! It tastes really good! ! ! I haven’t tried the others, but my friends said they tasted delicious.
Kid-friendliness: It tastes great, feel free to eat it! ! ! Very clean, no need to worry about food safety issues”
“Best fried chicken sandwich I've ever had, and the fries were delicious too. Way better than anything from KFC, Popeyes, Raising Canes, etc.The food was incredibly fresh and hot, and the server was super kind and courteous. The place was super clean, including the restroom. The prices are soooo reasonable too!!! I'll be back tomorrow for a burger. Thanks Macho Burger for a great experience!”
“As a dive bar kinda guy, this place really resonates with me. Love that the pours are good (Sara at least) and cheap - $5 for a well whiskey sour or a full pour of wine, $7 for call whiskey rocks. Cash only which is OK, just know ahead of time. And went there last night with my daughter for a quick drink before dinner - loud, obnoxious drunk group of sketchy dudes in the booth beside us. Lots of cussing and vulgarity which is fine with me but it was loud enough to be distracting and the bartender didn't really do or say anything to them, which may have been uncomfortable and awkward so I get it.”
“Okay, I’m from the east coast, so my perspective will affect this.
The boba tea was absolutely amazing. I got the strawberry milk boba tea, and I loved it. It was so cheap too, especially with the toppings I added. I got it with coffee jelly, boba, pudding, and it tasted so good. It also tasted like there was actual strawberry in there and not just strawberry flavoring. Had some strawberry bits in it too. I can’t believe how cheap it was, ($6.50) for a large boba with three toppings. Was also pretty fast too.”
“My coworker and I was craving Mediterranean food and this spot was close.
I ordered their salmon plate, with a beef kubideh along with lentil soup and garlic fries. The salmon was delicious and the beef. The soup was good, a little tangy then I’m used to but the garlic fries might be the best garlic fries ever had in my life so far.
I’d definitely come back here again to try their other menu items.”
“I went to Xiaomei this morning to buy a takeout with three dishes and one soup, and then went to the nearby Great China Supermarket to buy some vegetables. I took out Xiaomei and retrieved my eight yuan and seventy cents, wrapped in Xiaomei. In my receipt, the lady at the Greater China counter refused to accept one of the $5 bills, saying it was a counterfeit bill. If it were normal, forget it, it would be a trivial matter. But then I thought again, I have been swallowing my anger all my life, and I am brave this time. I am not deceiving or intentionally blackmailing Xiaomei. As a result, the money was returned, but the words spoken to each other were not very kind. I went home and reflected on my words and deeds. I am a Buddhist, and I felt sad that I did not meet the standards required by gods and Buddhas. I am a new customer of Xiaomei. I was introduced by a friend. To be honest, Xiaomei’s food is indeed of high quality and low price. I should be more grateful. So I would like to apologize to Xiaomei!”
“Enjoyed the food very much tasty and delightful
Service is quick, mostly because food is brought prepared on carts . I've been going here for years foods always great. However, the restaurant is dated, and the furniture , flooring, and more need to be updated, cleaned, or just replaced”
“Besides the obvious problems with finding a parking spot on the weekend, Quantong Square is a terrific place for shopping, dining and hanging out with your friends and relatives. It offers a variety of restaurants and shopping options. I really love the diverse products and services this shopping center offers to the visitors and customers.”

“Went to Floor & Decor to look for some tile flooring and had the best experience! The customer service was amazing. One employee Oscar F. went above and beyond to help us find what we needed for our house project. He was extremely knowledgeable and explained with great detail the types of flooring for indoor and outdoor projects. Highly recommend asking for Oscar F. if you ever go there.”
“I spoke tonight to the guy in charge paolo such a nice gentleman. I’m filling a complaint against David the manager. Treats his employees so bad he disrespects them in front of customers. What kinds of business is this. He shouldn’t be in charge in fact he should be under supervision.”

“Food is always good, however the server wasn't good...at all. Mature women thin dirty blonde hair and tattoos on her upper shoulder. Never brought bread to the table, never asked if we needed anything and drinks we had flag the bus boy to refill our empty drinks. It's a same some that mature, should know better, no common sense! Customer since 1978 worse service ever.”
“Their liquid mochi was amazing. The mango mochi drink less sweet was super awesome. Matcha mochi was not bad and I would like to try the avocado mango mochi next time along with the barley burst with less sugar. Also would like to try the peachy drink with the chunks. Very busy so order online for pickup is best! I wished they would open in Bay area”

“This is hands down my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in SGV. I’ve lived here for 25 years, and this place has been my go-to for a long time. The food is always fresh and delicious, and the restaurant is super clean. I always get the dry vermicelli — the lemongrass beef is packed with flavor, and the shrimp rolls are crispy and so good. They’ve got a nice variety of beers too, which makes it a fun spot to hang out with friends. The owners are always around, super friendly, and you can tell they really care about keeping the place in great shape.”
“I stopped by this taco truck after my usual taco stand wasn’t open—and I’m glad I gave it a try. I ordered the buche, carnitas, pastor, and cabeza tacos. The carnitas and cabeza were the best—juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right.
I also had the carne asada fries, which were hearty and satisfying. The guacamole in the carne asada fries is seriously addictive, and their salsa, along with the pickled jalapeños and red onions, added a fresh, tangy kick.
At $2.50 per taco, the prices are reasonable for the quality. I’ll definitely be coming back.
If my photos look half eaten, it's because I forgot to take pictures first”
“The Caribbean Gourmet spot inside Boston’s Market Hall offered some truly delicious entrée options.
