“Many who dine out know about the chicken sandwich craze which spread across the nation several years ago. From gourmet style to fast-food many eateries jumped in to offer their take. Le Coupe is no sleeper and from what I experienced ranks in the top of fried chicken with a twist. Many rave about Memphis style chicken and they should but Le Coupe uses its Louisiana Cajun heritage to make it a "must stop." Their sandwich is exceptional. If you're looking for basic fried chicken, this is NOT YOUR SPOT. Instead you will be treated to fried chicken drenched in a tasty hot, honey style sauce that is the perfect complement. The quality of the sandwich shines as while the chicken is superbly prepared, the bun, the slaw, the pickles take it to a new level. Some might raise an eyebrow over the $15 cost but again, this a'int fast food as you get what you pay for. Moving on, the rib of corn is so basic it's hilarious to mention. But, boy have they hit it out of the park with this appetizer. Ribs of corn are drenched in a mayonnaise chili sauce that makes it a very addictive dish. For $11, worth the experience. The potato salad (made with red potatoes) is fresh made (like the other items), very tasty and a nice presentation by being topped off with fresh chives. The drinks are another hit. Everything is freshly made. The lemonade was tasty and you could taste the quality. Again, at $6, you get what you pay for. LeCoupe is a tiny venue but cozy enough for several chairs, as well as a few outside. Everything is made from scratch but your order comes at a quick pace. Western and Melrose is a busy intersection, so the parking on Western can be tight so you will need some patience or street-smarts. Le Coupe has earned my business so if you're having the taste for some uniquely fried chicken (thighs or tenders) you can't go wrong with them. Price points may appear high but worth it based on the quality your receive.“
“The fried chicken is the best I’ve ever had and it’s not even close. The mild chicken is really spicy but just the right amount for me, not overly intense. It’s nice and crunchy. It’s even great cold. The fries are bomb too. What I also like is that it’s exactly the same quality every time, there is no variance. Wish I had found this place years ago.“
“The atmosphere or ambiance is excellent. It's a small community restaurant with excellent food. The only reason for the 4 is it was a bit cold inside.Vegetarian options: Almost all menu it's have a vegan and or vegetarian option.Parking: Street parking“
“Excellent, spicy fried chicken. Easily the best I’ve ever had, and the pieces were large. I also had the fried okra, which was perfectly crisp. The baked beans were just the right amount of sweetness with a little bit of spice.Parking is extremely limited. Google maps shows a larger parking lot, but most of it is restricted to the residents of the building next door. You may need to park on the street and walk if you come during the busy time. Also, the restaurant is on the small side, so be prepared for a wait if they are busy.“
“Food was pretty good and well seasoned. Chick was awesome, brisket was good but maybe a little thin, links were good, pork ribs were maybe on the dryer side then use to but still good. Cornbread was on point, and cold Mac taste a little store bought.“
“The ambiance is alright it's a small little shop I'm guessing they're still renovating it I'm not sure but it's on a busy street you can do a u turn so that's the good thing I didn't mind and you can park in the back aswell and the service was good I'm not gonna lie they took my order quickly didn't wait that long like 15-20 minutes for my food it was worth it though I'm not gonna lie them fries are good as hell perfectly seasoned and not too hard just crispy/ limp but that slaw was amazing that's what I think had a crazy amount of flavors in it, it was the best slaw I've ever tasted I honestly wouldn't mind just ordering their slaw alone and their chicken is crispy as hell perfectly coated in flavor and breading the juice is seen in the bites you take it's good as hell and their sauce is good the yellow one is amazing it taste almost identical or similar to the chicken-fil-a sauce but that's my opinion you should decide on your own and see but also white sauce is also pretty good and overall it was pretty great I'm not gonna lie yall should come and try it fs!!!!“
“Being born and raised in Louisiana I know what cajun/creole food is authentic. I was blown away with the food and portions. It was so much better then places in Louisiana that I dined at. This is the BEST tasting food in los angeles. I have eaten here twice this week. Highly recommend anyone who is hungry for real downhome food. You will not be disappointed. Happy Eating!“
“I would recommend it. They had 90s hip hop playing. It was a little louder than I like, but the sound of voice carried well enough for it not to be too big of a bother. Bottomless mimosas were an option with either orange or cran-pineapple. No complaints about the service. I had biscuits, pancakes, French toast, shrimp & grits. Biscuits were very good. Thick and flavorful. Pancakes were definitely buttermilk. They could've been more fluffy but we're worth it. French toast were tall and narrow. I found them too dry for my taste. But I think that's the style of the bread they use. The crust was not eggy at all...which relates to the texture of the finished item. Shrimp and grits was pretty good. I was satisfied. Overall I would recommend it and would return.“
“I attended Les Sisters last day of the smaller location and I am thrilled to say their 2nd larger location is the spot to support. More room for people to eat, enjoy, support and return with family, friends or co-workers. Don’t forget they do have takeout. Yummy food for your tummy.“
“Wonderful experience from entering the double doors. Greeted with a warm smile at the door and short waiting time to be seated. Waitress came out right away, was very friendly, knowledgeable of the menu and market price items on the menu. Panna waters were provided with and the food was stupendously delicious with unique ingredients and flavors that you have to savor. Wonderfully lite atmosphere with a modern farmhouse architectural ambiance. Excellent menu options healthy choice foods like vegan options were available along with rich culinary creations. Wonderful experience would definitely recommend and looking for to my return.“
“Generally I have a good experience. I like to get the 6 (or 8?) piece tender meal and have it for dinner and then reheat the leftovers. The fries have good seasoning, the biscuit a good consistency (don't know if it's right to say doughy but I like it with honey) and the blueberry shake is tasty. This time I got a side of cornbread and holy cow - it was the worst cornbread I've ever had. I don't know if an ingredient was forgotten but it was dry, bland and just gross. Really disappointed cause I love good cornbread haha.“
“We were lucky enough to have them cater us (the actors) in between our 2 day performance. Michael & Jessica are not only great cooks, while serving you they have a way of making you feel like family and everyone is gathering around at the "family cookout!" The fries were season so well and the chicken was juicy!“
“This was our first time visiting this food place and we were wow’d by how much of a phenomenal service in which we received. The owner is very hands on, very personable, and made sure everyone was happily satisfied upon leaving! We were even greeted with welcome drinks as first time customers. I would definitely recommend to others!“
“Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.Forest Gump was a huge success at the box office, and movie-themed Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. restaurants have sprung up in various tourist attractions (even Vegas has one, and I almost walked in to dine in). When I think of it, The only similar example is Hard Rock Cafe.I went to Santa Monica with my nephew to bask in the sun on the weekend, and we casually settled on the pier at noon. Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. was on the first row of the pier. I remember when I was in school, the restaurant was not called Bubba Gump. I had long forgotten the name. We were a group People always gather at the restaurant with their bicycles. After eating seafood, they ride along the beach and enjoy the sea breeze. It is so pleasant. Now the restaurant is still an old building, but it has become a crowded tourist attraction.I ordered calamari, scampi, stuffed shrimp, and a pina colada and magarita. The portion of calamari is relatively small, and it is fried very crispy. I also used jalapeno peppers to fry it. It is the first time I have seen it. It is mixed in the fried food. It is creative and delicious. The scampi has the familiar white sauce, shrimp and parmesan, which are all the familiar flavors. The portion seems small but very filling. Stuffed shrimp is shrimp wrapped in crab meat, then coated in flour and fried in a pan. It goes well with white rice. And pina colada is refreshing, cool and delicious. It's not cheap, but when you see the long queue of people waiting outside the restaurant, you can imagine the power of inflation. Walking on the pier, you can also see the seal show, and then go to the 3rd Street Promenade to cross the road, and the sun is shining on your body, which is warm.“
“It was a fun experience.Miles, our server, made the experience very good.Ordered steamed shrimp and kids chicken straps meal.Kids meal came out on a fun paper boat and drink came out in souvenir cup that you can take home.Beer also included a souvenir glass.Fun place to eat when you visit Universal Studios.“
“Mache is amazing server! He took care of us! He made we understood what was the best way to eat at The Drunken Crab!!The foooood was AMAZING!!!!!! My god. Raw oyster, the best! The mussels, shrimp, sauce delicious!!!!! 3 sauce mix - on point! And we liked the Bloody Mary Saki! And the music was hitting the spot.“
“Chef Marilyn's has been a staple in LA for many years at this location and the other location across from McDonald's near 43rd. Lines are always long as it's a takeout location but the food is always good. I get her prices went up but what hasn't these days. Inflation is real for food, groceries and gotta keep staff at competitive wages. The food is so bomb nothing is never nasty chicken meatloaf spaghetti yams greens cornbread smothered chicken and her gumbo is everything. We love it here and will keep visiting. Her ambiance is a to go so it's busy and staff can be a bit slower but they are friendly. Some of the best soul food on the west coast.“
“Love love love Cajun/Creole food! I was more than pleasantly surprised to find this gem in my neck of the woods, and am happy to report that Mardi Gras Tuesday will be my go-to Cajun/Creole joint for the foreseeable future. Mind you, I'm no expert on the cuisine, but I've been a fan for a long time and can happily endorse the Étouffée (crawfish), the Jambalaya, the Mac and Cheese, hushpuppies, and the friendly service at Mardi Gras Tuesday. *Though the cornbread didn't necessarily wow me, all and all, it was a great meal for the portions, price and quality. And considering they got slammed as soon as we walked in (around the start of the Super Bowl), the service was quick and we were in and out of there with bellies full of comfort food within an hour. Can't wait to go back!“
