“My new favorite local sushi spot! Great selection of rolls and great quality for the price! They also have combo options. I've enjoyed everything I've gotten so far. My favorite is the Lemon Cilantro roll. Gotta support my local small businesses!“

“Food was good, salmon nigiri was buttery! Chicken Teriyaki skillet portion seemed a bit smaller compared to other locations though. Atmosphere was great, some tables even get an ocean view! Server forgot to bring a couple of items we asked for (sauces) but not a big deal. Overall a great place to visit, especially for the character buns ?“

“Loved everything that we tried. Tea leaf salad, coconut noodle soup, sushis, chilli shrimp. The owner was super helpful as well despite a very busy day. Great to see Burmese cuisine spot in San Diego as it is one of our favorite Asian cuisines.“

“There’s something for everyone here. From a sushi roll to the bento combo. I treated myself, Sunday night dinner was the Cali roll and steak bento combo, came with the soup and salad. Everything was spectacular. You’re hard pressed to find a better meal.“

“The young man who was our waiter was very nice and checked on us often. We came for lunch on a Thursday and we were the only ones in the restaurant. It looks like they do a lot of take outs though.I got the lunch combo which came with two drum sticks, and four wings. I chose half and half: soy garlic and spicy. The spicy had a kick and was definitely spicy. So good! The soy garlic was a little sweet but still tasty. The pickle radish side was just a small condiment cup of cubes. The seasoned fries was a better choice.“

I will be back!Vegetarian options: I love their steamed cabbage, carrots & broccoli & brown rice.“

“Had a yummy lunch at Chinese Korean fusion restaurant CHIKO. We sat on the dog friendly patio where you order through QR codes on the table. We ordered the XO shrimp, spicy kumin lamb stir fry, and pork belly bao. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the food comes out quick. Recommend, not many Asian fusion restaurants in the area.“

“We used to eat at the Chins in San Marcos back in the mid to late nineties. It was our all time favorite Chinese Restaurant. We are staying here in Del Mar and ordered "to go" at Chins just down the street. Food is still delicious as we ordered Honey Sesame Duo, Beef Chop Suey, and Pork Pot stickers. Pot stickers are still the best anywhere!“

“Man it's really gone down in quality and quantity since the last time I visited. I got the spicy chicken which was salty and tasted different then I remember. My so got the new orange chicken. We switched plates. The Orange chicken had a nice orange flavor. I remember when they'd give you enough to share. The lettuce wraps were still good, but they no longer offer the 3 chilies you can mix to you're liking of heat level. I won't be going back anytime soon.“

“The food was really good. I was amazed by the speedy service. The service was amazing as they were really nice and kept checking on us. The outdoor atmosphere was great, however, there was only one restroom and it was always occupied. Other than that, I will return to this location. Great job.“

“We came for happy hour and got a ramen bowl plus a few items to share off the happy hour food menu - pork buns, seaweed salad, and the fried octopus balls. Really cute space with creative menu and can't wait to try everything else. Also had a mango refresher which was so good.“

“I had been craving a poke bowl all day and finally decided to stop in at Poki Poki! I was lucky that a big group had just walked out and there was no one inside the restaurant. The guy making my bowl gave super generous portions! I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. The bowl was delicious but there was no way I was going to be able to finish it!“

“Generally reluctant to get Asian food outside of Kearny Mesa but I was pleasantly surprised! Ordered the stone pot with beef and a side of kimchi. The bowl was well balanced with all the veggies and having the option to additionally season your bowl is nice. I will say that it does come with an absolute minimal serving of protein (maybe 2 or 3 oz total) in the bowl and $4 for a tiny side of kimchi is a bit outrageous (total serving size pictured), but can't deny that it was delicious. I'd prefer to go to Kearny but if I was around the area and craving bibimbap, it's a decent option.“

“Best Filipino food! I was in Los Angeles and I came across with their restaurant Kusina San Diego I was really happy because I saw the Kare-kare which is my ultimate favorite and I've been craving with the dish. Yes!! it was really delicious. Highly recommended!“
“Delicious! No longer Wu Casa it’s just Casa. Ownership changed three weeks ago from April 25, 2023. They have sprouted out from Green Acre at the other end of the tech campus. Part of the Bottle Boon Group. Working with local politics to get their liquor license .The brisket tacos rock!!! my latte is awesome. Quick and easy. Inside outside seating. They close at two and open at 8 AM. They have happy hours certain days, 3-7p check out which. Linda made my day with her cheer and positive energy. Very personable staff. If you’re a fan of Navy aviation, be ready for a few to fly overhead every once in a while.“

“Onny's Thai Restaurant was great! I'm so glad we found this place. I ordered the Tofu Pad Thai. I was so full but couldn't stop eating it because the flavors were so delicious! I only did level 2 (out of 10) spice since I don't like my food super spicy. I probably could've gone with a 3 or 4 just for a little kick. I would definitely recommend and would come back!“

“We did not plan well for Valentine's Day and found that they had reservations available. I grabbed one and we were on our way. Got there and I guess they didn't accept reservations after noon so my reservation was not valid (rsvp through Yelp). But she made it work finding us 2 spots at the bar. Luckily because it was PACKED. Service was nice but slow as there were 2 ladies on Valentine's Day! But our sushi chef filled in and made sure our kitchen order got in. We had a basic crunchy roll... good but basic. A sashimi bowl that was good but small. A bomb crab cake! And an even better Poke Roll - so much so that we ordered another one. It is a cute trendy sushi place. Don't be discouraged because it's in a Vons shopping center. We didn't have to take a loan out for the bill. We will go back - maybe not on such a busy night.“

“To say that I'm a fan is a total understatement. I recommend this place to my family and friends all the time. First of all, I'm biased and I love hot pot but also AYCE hot pot is a precious gem! Not many places do it - most places are a la carte. $35 for good meat, tasty broth, unlimited noods, veggies, and Ice Cream to wrap it all up for 90 whole minutes is a deal! They are extremely strict on time and will let you know when it's last call for meat. Not a huge selection of meat, but that's fine bc most of it tastes good. Cannot recommend the Sukiyaki broth enough, if you get that, you do not need to dip your meat in any sauces. DO NOT GET THE SHABU SHABU broth. That is just code for plain, boring and underwhelming. Our server, Chris, was super nice. He was lowkey sarcastic in the most professional manner. I told him I regretted the Shabu Shabu broth and he totally understood the assignment. He went to grab Tomato Broth and fixed up our soup. Really really appreciate the hard work. He literally stood there and scooped out the boring Shabu soup to make room for tastier broth. the AYCDrink bar was intriguing to me at least but now I'm caring less about it. I still like it but I wouldn't pay for it. The tea/MT is just OK - the toppings make it better. Thank goodness Yelp lets us check in for free drinks!“

“If you can eat gluten this place is fantastic. They have a lot of GF next to dishes but in the small print below, on the menu, it says it can be made GF but you have to ask. I have been sick 3 days now because of this misunderstanding. I may go back, but maybe not. This is why I prefer to eat at home.Dietary restrictions: Be absolutely sure to tell your wait person that you must have GF or other dietary restrictions.“

“Generous portions and good, fresh food! They make to order, not like the other place that lets their food sit in metal trays for hours on end! This place is always fresh and the people are friendly! Sign up for their frequent diner club and get special offers such as their weekly two-for-one coupon!“
“It's not often that I dine in a restaurant that is part of a hotel but Arterra has a hidden gem when it comes to their small sushi bar run by Chef Andrew who opened the sushi concept 24 years ago. For the 2nd consecutive night ( yes - 2 straight nights, I dined here and had some fantastic nigiri and sushi as well as the braised short rib tacos. They have a limited sushi menu with no hot Japanese entrees such as bento or hot appetizers or main entrees. However, if you have your favorites from what you are accustomed to Chef Andrew can mostly make them as was the case when I wanted a Dragon Roll which was not on the menu. tfw Sushi Bar opens at 5 pm with Happy Hour for the general bar area opening at 4 pm. Service by the entire staff with Tom and Brian as well as Manager Ricardo (Ricki) were spot on. I should also mention that I met other guests who are regulars to Arterra along with another who also came for two consecutive nights to enjoy Chef Andrew's sushi creations!“

“My parents and I were so excited to come here because we love PF Changs and they happened to be in town visiting. When we walked in we were immediately impressed with the location and the lovely outside views and bright windows. When we placed our order with our server who was incredible and so hospitable, we were so sad to learn they were out of green beans. My Dad & I are vegetarians so we always look forward to the crispy green beans or chili garlic green beans whenever we come. We ordered the mapo tofu, the vegetarian spring rolls, and the pan fried noodles with vegetables. The noodles and the spring rolls were super tasty.Vegetarian options: Lots of options, crispy green beans, mapo tofu, wraps, etc.“

“I really enjoyed the Chettinadu Pizza with Chicken. It has a delicious green sauce! Not spicy, just flavorful. And it’s full of fresh onions, bell peppers, chicken. Even half the 10 inch was filling. I like the crust too. It’s very saucy and not too sturdy, so you might want to plan to eat it there. I think it might get pretty soggy otherwise. They have a few tables and more outside. No bathroom, good to know. They have more pizzas I want to try; but I didn’t realize that they have lots of other things like Gobi Manchurian, Korean Bowls…The Chettinadu pizza had such good flavors that I am excited to try more of their cooking.“

“We come here about every 2 months. Consistent good service, the sushi is always tasty and fresh, and the atmosphere is casual. We typically come early as it fills up fast on the weekends. My kids love the katsu and I almost always get a spider roll as on one of our rolls.“

“I couldn't wait to try this place, This is a new start up place so have patience! The food was absolutely amazing, so fresh and delicious. I got the shrimp sandwich and the 1/2 egg and fresh fruit with a green tea. The wonderful nice ladies working there were so nice and made good suggestions! The place is starting up so there slowly making better menus but the place is still very clean,“

“Stopped at their booth in Balboa Park during the Lunar New Year festival. Their prices were very reasonable with a 3-for-$10 on steamed buns. We got chicken and mushroom and cabbage and mushroom. So good! The fillings were plentiful and flavorful and the buns were tasty and perfectly steamed! Will def buy from them again next time we see them!“
“J Box @ The Island is by far my favorite lunch spot. I come here at least 1-2 times per week. They have the freshest Poke around. They really ruined all the other Poke places for me because every time I try one - I always compare it to theirs and it is never as good.“

“It's perplexing to see negative reviews without specific details on dishes. Having worked at Hithai for five years, it's a personal favorite, especially for the fantastic Pork Chop and Panang curry sandwich. The Thai Tom Yum Noodle Soup and Egg Noodle BBQ pork are also top picks. Criticizing the prices seems unjust, as these dishes are reasonably priced at $5 for to-go orders. If you're seeking a great atmosphere, La Jolla on Garnet St or Pearl St has many Thai restaurants, albeit at a higher cost of $30-$50 per person. Personally, I give Hithai a 5-star rating for its delicious food and the friendly service, with special mention to Stan, the excellent manager, and his amiable staff.“

“These guys deserve 4 stars alone for having the courage to re-open their lunch buffet, despite the collusion among all other Indian restaurants in San Diego to keep their buffets closed. Those other places lost my business permanently. Yes prices are up, but nowadays that is unfortunately harder and harder to prevent. Their lunch price is still on par with most other small business buffets that I've seen lately. It's a very small buffet but it's definitely tasty! I wish they had saag paneer though. They also have naan if you request it. There is only 1 server working during lunch so naan and drink service can be slow sometimes, but this is clearly a small family business, so I cut them some slack. The plentiful traditional Indian decor and international new shows on TV could easily trick someone into thinking they're really in India. It all goes together with the food well.“

“Giving 5 stars because of Chloe's above and beyond customer service!!! I was BLOWN AWAY. She was constantly smiling and making sure I was completely satisfied as a customer. The only thing I would mention to the owners/who ever is in charge: give the workers chairs or other things to sit on between customers other than buckets on the ground. This seems unhealthy for their physical health.“

“The glass noodle dish was good. The pork was a bit too salty but mixed with noodles it was good. This can easily feed two adults. By the time me and my 2 year old son got our food, there was no forks left, just chopsticks. Middle of our meal, I walked back to get tissue and the there were forks. The girl at the front said she found some. But didn't mention to us she found some. So my two year old was eating with hands the entire time. Food is good Customer service is eh, they didn't care to help out.“
