Take a look at our favorite Vacaville Mexican restaurants.
“Walking back home and seen this cute food truck with very yummy choices. A lot of locals have raved to me about the birria tacos and quesabirrias here. Prices were very great, and each taco is pretty big size ! Flavor is all there ! Consomé is so good ! Salsa too ! Prob best birria tacos I've had in Vacaville area. service was friendly and quick! They even sent me away with a nice horchata will be back forsure !“
“They're Mangonada is so good and to die for! They can get busy in the early afternoons and after dinner. Located in a plaza so parking is easy. I loved the tamarind and mango pieces! They always keep me coming back for more. There's tables to sit inside and enjoy too! Staff are super friendly and quick!“
“After hearing about this restaurant for years I finally decided to check it out. All I can say is it didn't disappoint. The food tastes authentic and amazing. The service is fast. Nothing to write home about the ambiance but don't worry you're not here for the decorations. Just sit eat and enjoy.“
“Took my daughter here yesterday for lunch for the first time. I had 2 street tacos, one Al Pastor, and one Carnitas. Both were solid choices. Also ordered one Vampiro wAl Pastor and 2 quesabirria tacos with consome. The quesabirria taco's stole the show!! Very good!!!! The Vampiro with Al Pastor was my 2nd favorite. I'd so order them again. My daughter ordered the Chicken Chimichanga and Mexican rice. She loved the meal as well as I did. We both agreed we'd come back again for more of their treats. If you are in the area and are craving authentic Mexican food stop by and try them out. Your tummies will be happy as ours were.“
“We always get take out with our two littles. They are so quick, so friendly, and so accommodating with differences from one item to the next. The mild green salsa is absolutely delicious, I could drink it with a straw. We lived here for three years before discovering Vasquez Deli and I wish we'd found it sooner....coming from a Southern AZ girl!“
“For my family of 7 its hard to find a place we ALL LOVE. There's a lot of Mexican food options in Vacaville but this one is our FAVORITE. We have been eating here for over 20 years and we will not stop. One lady walked by after my family was done eating and asked me if my kids licked their plates clean. (They didn't BUT it looked as if they did, they used chips and scooped every drop of food up they could. Nothing was left behind.) It sounds crazy but my husband even drinks the salsa. He loves it.Ok so ... the FOOD is GOOD, the service is GREAT, most people have been working there for a long time and that says something, they remember the orders and what we like, their all friendly. I will say the atmosphere inside is a little older style its not modern or anything but its not a bad thing.Last Sunday I told some friends to eat there, she has 3 boys, she told me after they all loved it. Just go and try it!“
“I have not gotten food from this restaurant in quite some time, but the quality of the food has not changed at all. It is still awesome! The homemade chips and salsa, the shredded beef tostada, the sauce-dripping chicken enchilada, were all yummy. For great Mexican food, El Azteca is the place to go.“
“The Fajitas are ready. Fajita derived from the Spanish, Faja. Fajita is from Southwestern Texas and are Northeastern Mexican. The Vaqueros made them. The Fajita reminds me a lot of Mongolian barbecue, the stir-fried aspect of it. The sizzling plate presentation of Fajitas on an iron plate was from Acapulco, and that's familiar to me. The Steak in a Fajita is also called Romanian Tenderloin, Philadelphia Steak, or Arrachera. It was popularized in Southern Arizona. I don't know what is in this Fajita seasoning. But most of time there should be chili powder, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper. Those are some of the ingredients that makes it a hit. This one was mild, but it had a smokiness to it. I was glad to see them bring out the corn tortilla warmer. I rolled it up like it was a Pizza. The part of doing something yourself, is in a lot of cultures. The refried beans were better than some others I had, and the Mexican rice wasn't too tomatoey. I also had an Agua de Jamaica, and the Aguas Frescas is Latin American.“
“I don't normally do these reviews but these tacos were too good to not be acknowledged. My husband and I were traveling in from the Bay Area and stopped here for a quick bite and let me tell you - WORTH IT. We ordered tacos & the flavorful was incredible! Everything is fresh, prices are great, and the vibe inside makes you feel cozy and welcome. This is definitely our new favorite taco stop when stopping in the area. Don't walk - but run & try them out!“
“Thest Mexican we've ever had. My husband was impressed with the wet carnitas burrito, and the shrimp in my dishes was off the charts, so fresh tasting. Even the chips didn't taste like ordinary restaurant chips. Definite keeper!“
“We came to Los Reyes on the way home from the Bay Area for a quick bite to eat. What a beautiful location! The chips and salsa were brought immediately, and the margaritas were delicous. I got the "Holy Mole" mole fried rice and 2 asada tacos. The service was fast and friendly. Great experience overall. ?“
“We have out-of-town guests. We wanted to meet our other friend who lives in Sacramento. Rather driving from the East Bay to Sacramento, we decided to meet half way. Hence, we met for dinner in Vacaville. We ate at Murillo's Mexican Restaurant. FOOD They gave us chips after we sat on to our table. I ordered the combo special, the Enchilada plate. My friends ordered the Paco Special, Shrimp Fajita, and Chicken Chimichanga. We enjoyed each of our orders. SERVICE Our waiter gave us an excellent service. I asked her to take a picture of us. She did. She seemed nice; she smiled throughout the night whenever she came to our table. AMBIENCE Though it was past 7pm, there was still a lot of people. Overall, I would come back to Murillo's Mexican Restaurant and would recommend it if anyone's looking for a Mexican restaurant to dine at.“
“I work in the nut tree shopping center and this is my go to spot. The staff is really friendly. The atmosphere is always nice and food is awesome. Special shout out to Marcy. She always greets you with a smile, very energetic, and just overall great experience every time I run into her. Thank you so much for such great service!! ?“
“Excellent pupusa and service at El Caracol. We've been going here and ordering their pupusa take out for a minute. We've visited the FF branch which is owned by a different person now per the worker. Same great, warm, homemade, and very filling pupusa. Good prices w/ quality ingredients to match. My fave is the curtido, cabbage relish. I love that fermentation, esp since kraut and kimichi are my faves...I can eat that as is but better paired w/ pupusas...it really compliments the density and mildy salty tortilla. Their pupusas are so fast-filling that its a struggle to even finish one. Great flavors in their rice and beans...that exquisite lard flavor elevates anything that touches it, beautifully melds the flavors and textures in so many Latin American dishes! We ordered some combos and take out for the hubs. Best believe we'll be back! Gracias!“
“Great service, great prices, and great portions. Do yourself a favor and stop by this restaurant. Perfect for quick service dining in or take out. This is the best Mexican food we've had in this area. They even serve 3 salsas with the chips which is very rare these days. The food is so fresh and home made with unique flavors. We can't wait to go back.“
“The Best Wet Burrito in the Country is here.... The enchilada sauce is nothing like you've never experienced before. It's made from scratch daily and is a family recipe, and honestly the best I've ever had. Great restaurant “
“The only I regret I have is not coming to this place sooner! I just went in a few minutes ago and bought some elote and Cookie Monster icecream. My husband LOVES Cookie Monster icecream and we’ve been all around the states and have not found a Cookie Monster that was good. This was amazing!! A++++! And the elote…. DELICIOUS! I love that it’s family owned, they answered all our questions and were all very friendly and sweet. I recommend this place 100%! Please give them a try! And one last thing… the prices are VERY affordable!!“
“Got a burrito lunch here with my wife, fast and friendly service. They have more dinner plate type options and a nice atmosphere if you want a more dinner date option. But for the burritos, great pricing similar to say chipotle but the burritos are twice as big and they don't skimp on the meat. This is kind of a niche opinion but the guacamole not having onions was so nice. There's onion in everything it seems like so this was great for those of us who aren't a fan of them.Price point is fair“
“I’ve been in twice for tacos and loved them! The 2 ladies at the counter that served me each time were very sweet. I’ll definitely stop by here more now that I’ve tried it.My boyfriend did have a burrito that he wasn’t impressed with (said it was cold), but we’ll try some other options on our next time in!“
“We had our sons 18th birthday celebration here. The food was good. We were able to pick from a variety of proteins for our dishes. The atmosphere with the dim lights made it real intimate within our guests. The server was very accommodating. Our first were happy and impressed.“
“We stumbled into this place after walking the outlets just hoping for some decent Mexican food and we were BLOWN AWAY.It started with a warm environment, smiling employees and amazing customer service, and it ended with some of the best Mexican food we have ever had.The owner was there himself wiping off tables and serving customers with his staff, everything operated seamlessly... We had WAY too much food expecting the typical small servings you get everywhere nowadays, so we even got to take home leftovers.Just saw there's one by my house, but there's no way it'll be as good without this owner and staff We will come back to Vacaville just to eat here.“
