“Absolutely delicious food. Chulita Bowl was fantastic, hibiscus mimosa and latte were so good. Friendly staff too! Thanks for the wonderful brunch. 🙏🧜🏽♀️”
“Wow! We live here and have been wanting to try Great White for 4 years and finally got the chance. So cute, so delicious, Venice beach is iconic. Great views and service, friendly and sweet staff, 10/10 love ❤️”
“Had the absolute best time here last night! So pleased. Chef brought out some sugar snap peas that were crunchy, tasty, and thoughtful for a hungry party! Everything we ordered was fresh and delicious! Fish sandwich 10/10, mussels 10/10, great for vegetarian, pescatarian, or pregnant like myself so shopping for raw & cooked options for everyone at the table! The “local spot” ambiance is unbeatable, felt like home. Thank you for the service!”
“Fantastic meal at Felix! You really can’t go wrong with an Evan Funke restaurant. The pasta was perfectly made, and the flavors were spot on. That said, I do wish the menu felt a little more distinct from his other restaurants. It’s definitely in line with his signature style, so if you’ve been to his other spots, you’ll find a lot of overlap.
The quality and service are definitely there—the staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive without being overbearing. The atmosphere is cozy but lively, with a great energy for date night or a special dinner with friends. Overall, Felix is absolutely worth a visit.”
“Brought some friends there to watch playoff football and a ufc fight. Ended up having the best filet mignon of my life. So tender you could slice through it with the side of your fork. Had fresh oysters from Virginia, which I was told are only $2 on Tuesday or Wednesday (have to fact check here). And probably the best thing on the menu is the bacon wrapped plantains, not a lot of food, but every bite is heaven. Wife loved her fancy drinks, but I prefer scotch.”

“Came here on a birthdsy friendly date night recommend by my foodie girlfriend. First thing you'll notice is the ambiance, I loved it. Our service was excellent. Now, as a fine dinning chef myself we can get into the food.
The dumplings in curry sauce, very nice!
Baked Oysters, perfectly cooked, flavor profile, meh. Tuna Tostada, too small and under seasoned. Roast Pork, is so close to perfect. Cocnut rice was lovely as well. Drinks are creative and fun. Desserts were decent. The bad? Portion sizes are a joke. And it's likely you'll have to eat again, after already having eaten here.
My thoughts? Overall, a fun experience, especially as our server was awesome and honestly made some good suggestions. The food is fun, well executed and very creative. The decore and over all ambiance is dope. My compliments to the chef for having balls enough to push elevated cuisine in new directions. 🤌”

“My food and cocktail was genuinely some of the best I've ever had but the portions sizes for the price is very poor. I had the rendang mamuk with the nasi ayam rice. For $46 for the both (yes they are seperate, 42 for the meat, 4 for the rice), I felt the rice should've been included or have at least a bigger portion.”
Outdoor Dining
“I’ve dined here both as a walk-in and with a reservation, and each time I was greeted with the warmest smile. This restaurant is so intentional—from its cozy neighborhood charm to the elevated, seasonal menu and the ambiance set by an amazing record player and vinyl collection. The staff went above and beyond, even sharing local stories that made us feel truly connected to the space. The food was absolutely delicious, and I really appreciated the thoughtful touch of nonalcoholic wine options. Highly recommend!”
“We were greeted by the most pleasant host. We sat at the bar, and the bartender was lovely. The drinks were amazing, the food delicious. We will definitely be returning.”

“my boyfriend and I made a reservation the day of at 10:15 and there was no wait when we arrived. ambience was lively. host and staff were so friendly and welcoming. we ordered a total of 6 dishes because they are small portions: mixed rice with duck, squid plate, duck meatball, broccolini, pork gyoza, house ramen (total came out to ~100$)
everything was so amazing (especially the squid) and as someone who doesn't eat much, I could've honestly kept eating forever.”
“First: Restaurant has several options for seating - booths outside that are charming, a covered inside garden area with booths and tables which is where we always sit, or inside at the sushi bar, the regular bar, or the inside tables. Second: Staff are delightful - very professional, knowledgeable about the menu and friendly. Third: Food is delicious. We always order the crispy rice with spicy tuna, the yellowtail special and the Tiger King sushi roll. Nobody does these dishes better! Bar creates great drinks. Parking: You can usually find street parking on Rose or a side street if you don't mind walking a block or two.”
“Hadn't been here in years since we no longer pass this way. That's gonna change. Visited for dinner last night these guys deserve your business. They did a great job redecorating. The service is great. The food is awesome. Portions are generous. But most of all, the prices are extremely reasonable. In this age of skyrocketing costs, they've managed to keep themselves in my price range. Honestly just about everyone else has not. Reward these guys for their efforts. Get out there now!”
“Authentically unique and super sweet! Let's talk matcha.... it's imported from Japan and not frozen, so it's super potent and not so bitter. The customer service is super on point and it's unique because there is a skin care boutique as you enter on the right and then towards the back and yoga studio. So very neat! This place is charming in so many ways we will be back”
“My boyfriend and I love coming to this restaurant for date nights. The service is always great and the food is top notch. Try the blood orange gin drink, it's delicious.”
Takeout Restaurants
“Had a great meal! Forwent ordering potstickers in order to try the enticingly named Gang of 4 ×4 - a delicious decision! The Mao's Hometown was just-right spicy, and I'm sure they put more than $2 extra shrimp on my order. Service friendly and prompt, loved the art. I felt as though I had wandered back into college in the early '70s.”
“Where has this place been all my life?
For years, I thought people were talking about some random neighborhood joint… turns out they were talking about Lokal—and I’ve been missing out big time.
This place is a fusion comfort food wonderland. Vietnamese, Korean, Mexican… flavors from everywhere somehow working together in perfect harmony. If “food porn” had an entry in the dictionary, Lokal would be a strong contender for the cover photo.
My current obsessions:
Kpop Fries – Highly addictive. Proceed with caution.
Korean BBQ Banh Mi – Pure flavor explosion.
Chimichurri Steak – That sauce… someone needs to bottle it.
My only struggle here? Picking just one entrée per visit. Since I’ve hopped on the LA intermittent fasting train, I only get one big meal a day—meaning each visit is basically a full-on palate crisis.
If bold flavors and creative comfort food are your thing, put Lokal at the top of your list. And if you spot a guy with blonde hair, built shoulders, and the expression of someone facing the toughest decision of his week—that’s probably me.”
“Crowd is absolutely obnoxious zoomers but the music is usually good and bumping. $7 Guinness at the time of posting 1/25/2024Can't stress how obnoxious the crowd is. They will step on your feet and act like you did something wrong. Very uppity crowd.”
Drive-Thru Restaurants
“Marlene was so lovely! A true hole in the wall and George puts care into the food! Their house made salsas & sauces are incredible, highly recommend the salsa verde and the green crema! (Can't go wrong with any tbh) Get the fish taco too!!! Can't wait to go back ❤️ ✨”
“Consistently good food! We always go here and usually have a line. They have 2 small tables on the side, no seats. Tried the chicken, asada, lengua, and al pastor. $2/taco as of 5/2025. Park on the street. Ralphs parking lot now has a sign that their customers can not park there.”
“the empanadas are exquisite. you have to try them to understand. this some homemade Argentina style 😋 deliciousness. Rico is a show to say the least. I will definitely stop by just to grab some more empanadas. my highlight of the boardwalk. like Rico says they're 🔥 fire.”
“love this place but lately the music is SOOO loud and it's always like pop or rap - not like ambient music. Very hard to work here now, and I used to love doing so here but tough to focus. all the people around me felt the same and were sad about it too. Please can you reduce the volume of the music or change to something more ambient..it's a lot.”
“This is another gem I take visitors to all the time, mostly for a late breakfast. I come here for 20+ years. I gotta be honest: If you are looking for the best ... whatever food .... in town, don't bother to go. This place is about atmosphere and having a good time. The food is good, and we had an amazing time with our waiter Shilly yesterday - and left well fed and with $100 for the four of us fairly priced - given the location I would have expected more. Wow - five stars for OK food? Absolutely. In my very own rating scheme, it is mandatory for five stars that I would be willing to do a 30+ min detour just to go to this particular place. And I did. Many times. And will do it again. We've been to the Ivy's in Beverly Hills the night before. It would be totally unfair to compare on a mere culinary basis. Go here - prepared to have a good time - and you will.”
“Yum!!! I don’t know how this guy does it, but he’s making absolutely delicious and addictive pizza. A mix between Chicago bar pizza and New Haven thin crust. I ordered a double sausage, green peppers, mushrooms, and basil pizza. I asked for an extra crispy crust too. Perfection! He makes his own sauce and dough and with 2 painfully small countertop ovens, turns out mouthwatering pie. I’ve gone back a number of times now so he’s the real deal. I have the nerve to give him an 8.0 on the Barstool Sports scale. This guy needs a bigger place. No seating inside, just outside.
Oh, the pepperoni calzone was also excellent, but with pizza this good, why? And the pizza was only $15 bucks! If the owner gets a bigger place with proper ovens, watch out!”
“🥙☕️💜I am an avid taco lover. We had never been to this adorable Taco Restaurant in Venice Beach before.
The first thing I noticed was how clean it was.
I was now anxious to have my fave food in life - beef tacos! THEY WERE out of this world.
Our entire family enjoyed the food & a quaint ambience. The Coffee is excellent as well.
I give this “Young Kid Shop”’ 5 stars! Because, if it is not on the Menu, I would bet my life Miss NADIA would not only make it, it would be absolutely delicious!
It is the cutest little beach taco shop on the boardwalk in Venice Beach. Check it out.
💟🥙🏖️”

“I thought the reviews of the shop were high and good.
I asked for Deep Pride OREO.
I was sure that something other than this would be recommended.
However, it costs about $15 for a pack of five.
I thought I had failed
Around the third bite, I started to feel the deliciousness of a donut.
This may be true for Japanese people who have eaten red bean paste.
It's not worth coming here to eat.
I think you should order something else.”
“Wish there was one in the LBC but probably good there isn't bc I'd be spending like all my money there lol. Moon Juice will always be my absolute fave. It's my personal vision for the future. High nutrient, apothecary level, zero waste food available as plentiful as McDonald's lol. So thankful for the creatrix that is Amanda Chantal Bacon and all she has taught me and enriched my existence with! The flagship location is amazing and I make my way there anytime I'm in the vicinity. I love the girls who work there and appreciate the thoughtful chats and shilajit shots. 😉”
“I write for a music and coffee blog called Crooners In Coffeeshops, in which I interview local musicians at local coffeeshops. My writeup reflects the positive experience that I encountered at Flowerboy Project on our interview date. I had heard of the illustrious Flowerboy Project from not only friends in the Venice Beach area, but also from digital word-of-mouth as well as praise from the Los Angeles Coffee Guide. Since starting this endeavor, floral type coffees (i.e. rose, lavender, etc.) had become my jam, and I was genuinely intrigued with how the shop functions as both a florist and a coffeeshop, so why not follow through on my curiosity? Well, I definitely was not disappointed in my adventure and am already excited to make my way back! The nice thing about Flowerboy Project is that it’s located in a relatively quieter part of Venice. It’s close enough to the beach and the popular Abbot Kinney area without the heavy crowds, yet still gets enough foot traffic for locals to discover it and stay afloat as a business. It’s a smaller shop that can fill up quickly at the peek ‘I need coffee, stat!’ hours, but if you’re lucky enough to snag a seat inside you will never want to leave! The lush, garden/botanical-like atmosphere is highlighted with Insta-worthy gold and pastel accents to add a slight trendy feel with a playlist dedicated to classic surf rock reminiscent of its location. Now, all you need is one of their signature coffees and a yummy pastry and you’ll want to make Flowerboy your new favorite shop!”
“Never again - liars, cheats, etc. dont book them - Dont trust them - they lie! And sadly for elementary students they lie and then last minute cancel but then call back and say they will take job?n?b?b? What is up with that!!! Do NOT bother - untrustworthy and disrespectful. Go with las guajalotas LA sooooo good and lovely humans”
“1. No customer bathrooms. Hard to give 5 stars when there’s no bathroom. Door not ADA friendly
2. No parking on the same side of the street but there’s free street parking within a 5 minute walk
3. 5 star coffee. They were out of the strawberry syrup but loved the vanilla latte.
4. $7 coffee
5. The decor/seating/wall is plywood and tile which feels eh, but comfy and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating”
“This is one of my favorite Starbucks on the Pacific Ocean. Grabbing a drink and stepping out on the patio for a minute offers the best SoCal moment. Away from the hustle of the boardwalk (the patio is protected) but high enough you can see the water, it's perfect. If you're wanting to see the sunset and don't want to walk to the shore, this is the best place in Venice Beach. Staff is friendly, the coffee drinks are good and the views are perfect. My favorite Starbucks in the Los Angeles are.”
“For a small take out poke place, this was great. The fish was fresh, and all the ingredients in our poke bowls were well thought out. We had the mango albacore poke bowl and the shitake chili tofu bowl.
Lots of people came and picked up takeout. They do have two small tables in the front on the sidewalk. I would definitely get their poke bowls again. Not much atmosphere needless to say.”
“Excellent service and Food. It was Dine LA so we ordered that menu and the food was coursed out. Absolutely superb! What a great way to sample the chef’s specialties. Our waiter was the best!!!! Looking forward to dining again.”
“went here on a night out with friends! The drinks were really good and the vibe was great! The DJ was good too although people were shy to dance. Would definitely recommend! Only ding is I wish the bartenders were able to recommend drinks better.”
“Drove from Pasadena for a couple sliced brisket sandwiches. Well worth the drive. Always delicious.”
“Super cool 😎 Great place for drinks with friends, cool vibe and crowd”

“Had an outstanding night watching Chuck Prophet and the Mission Express at the Venice West. Venice West is an intimate venue with a perfect layout for live performances. Dinner was enjoyable and the staff was helpful and friendly. Now for the main event... Chuck Prophet and the Mission Express put on a heck of show. The band was tight and rocked the house. Every song was a hit and our group was blown away. Thanks for making great music! Looking forward to returning again for another memorable evening of great music and food.”

“Finally made it to Prince Street Pizza in Venice after having it on our list for a while, and it didn’t disappoint! The staff was super nice and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The restaurant itself was nothing special- decorated in a NYC theme.
We decided to order two pizzettas (their version of personal pan pizzas, about 10 inches each). We went with the Original and added pepperoni, plus the Oakey Smokey, which was like a margherita. Both were delicious! The crust had that perfect crunch with just the right amount of sauce. The pepperoni made the Original a little extra greasy, but honestly, still so tasty.
We had originally planned to try their famous square slices, but they looked like they had been sitting out for a while and weren’t as fresh as we hoped, so we opted for the pizzettas instead which were made to order. For the two of us, it worked out perfectly—4 slices each and just the right amount of food.
We’ll definitely be back, and next time we’re hoping to catch the square slices fresh out of the oven!”

“The food and service is absolutely to die for, you have to eat here when visiting Venice Beach. OMG so glad I love in Utah because I'd be on my 800 lb life real quick living close to this place!!! Yummy my boys and hubby loved it too we all got different burgers, fries and onion rings so good”
“The coffee is soooo good- I got an iced vanilla latte with a cream too and my friend got a matcha. The drinks are so good, the coffee had a true coffee taste while still being a sweet latte; most lattes now are sugary and less coffee. The coffee is not comprised at all. Most importantly the owner Nikita(I hope I am spelling his name correctly) was unbelievably kind and generous. I highly recommend this small business coffee shop!”
