“Got the old town hot dog and it was by far one of the best hot dogs I've ever had. Super tasty with the right amount of spice. The beer was good. Great atmosphere. Service was okay. We had to go inside to grab utensils and napkins after our food was taken out. Overall tho, the food was worth it and we will definitely be coming again.“

“We eloped yesterday in the desert and drove into Carlsbad to have a relaxing day near the beach. We have heard such great things from a close friend about Campfire so it was a no brainer where we would eat dinner.We had no idea how fantastic of an experience we were in for, or how insanely delicious the dishes and mock-tails would be, and lastly how the service and hospitality would be so beyond that it would bring us to tears.We felt so special and honestly cared for by our waiter Zach and even the management. Being that it was the day after our elopement they went to beautiful lengths to make me and my wife feel special. There are no words to capture how emotional that was for me and her. We thank you all from the bottom of our hearts. Campfire and Zach will always be a part of our wedding story!Thank you thank you thank you for being beautiful people!! “Great food and service but they need to do something about the hostess stand location. It is very awkward and there is nowhere to stand when waiting for a table. I moved forward and four groups cut in front of me since the hostess did not ask who was next in line, she just looked at someone else and took their information.“

“I've been here twice now and great food both times. Very flavorful dishes, with a good level of spice but not over the top spicy. Last time I asked what their mocktail was and they made it custom for me based on what types of drinks I described, and it was delicious! One time I brough my 4 year-old and it was hard to find many dishes for him to eat since he doesn't like spicy food. He mostly ate coconut rice and then got ice cream down the road after.“

“This is a long overdue review for Urban Plates. I do not usually post reviews, however, I have to reward the consistency of outstanding customer service and consistently good food with my feedback. Manager Manny Mejia is always on site greeting guests and making sure all customers have an exemplary experience. I have been coming to Urban Plates for years with my family and friends. I love the Plate Pass program that gives me 20% off of my entire bill including wine/beer. The restaurant is always clean even during their busiest times. When it is peak eating times, you may have to wait for a table but, Manny and his staff will try to make your wait as quick as possible. Finally, let's talk about the food. The beet salad is one of my all-time favorite salads. I also love the chciken tenders which are addictive as are the fries. The steak with chimichurri sauce is delicious. I always leave Urban Plates feeling satisfied and happy that I am able to enjoy tasty food prepared in a healthful way. You owe it to yourself to eat at Urban Plates.“

“The staff greeted us immediately, seated us, and brought water to the table. Our appetizers CHOWDAH FRIES and Crispy Cauliflower arrived quickly -- as did our drinks. The fries were like New England poutine and surprisingly still crispy with the toppings. The cauliflower was spicy, tangy, but not too crispy, yet we liked it. The drinks were spot on. Two of us got Connecticut Lobster Rolls, one got Maine Lobster Roll, and the other got CLASSIC BEEF BOURGUIGNON. Each dish was perfectly prepared and presented. It is somewhere we will go again.“

“We hit up the Lab on our last night in Oceanside, and were quickly greeted and sat outside on the beautiful patio. The only negative I have, which was clearly just a mix up and resolved as soon as it was realized, was that we sat for nearly 25 minutes before someone came over. We didn't say anything for a while as we were exploring the menu, chatting and just taking in the scene, but once we did, the manager apologized and sent someone right over.The house white pasta was fantastic, and while there are other, more exciting things on the menu, I was just craving pasta and it was perfect! My husband got the jerk chicken sandwich and literally inhaled it; he loved it! The tater tots, too. Kids meals were great portions and enjoyed. One of the best meals we had in Oceanside!“

“The food was delicious!! We hung out at the bar and ordered an appetizer and desert. The tender suggested all great items. We had the cauliflower, which was an explosion of flavor and followed that with banana pudding filled beignets, those too were amazing.“

“Hearty west coast breakfast menu. Decent Latte. Service was good. Items were fresh. My mushroom and spinach omlette was good. Hot sauces brought to the table, but we were never asked about butter or jam for toast till we asked. Coffee refills had to be asked vs offered.Inside seating is cramped and lots of fott traffic due to multiple service areas. Outside looks calmer.I would go back if someone else suggests it, and would not fine with the choice. It would not be my first choice.“

“My favorite restaurant from our recent trip to Oceanside! Everything was delicious. The kids meals were huge and their fries were so good. The pecan crusted salmon with brussel sprouts and sweet potato mash was incredible. Never have I ever had such delicious b sprouts and I was worried the sweet potatoes would be too sweet but they were perfect. The salmon was equally delicious and all around the dish was full of perfect bites.“

“We stopped here on Easter Sunday and were pleasantly surprised they had happy hour specials that day. We ordered the burger and beer special on happy hour. They let us choose any burger or sandwich from the menu, a choice of 3 beers and you also get a small salad and order of fries. It was well worth the $22. The fries were amazing. My only complaint is that the beer was slightly flat and the Philly cheesesteak was a bit dry and lacked cheese.“

“I honestly cannot say enough good things about my experience dining at Ponto Lago last week. From our arrival at the valet with Tom who went above and beyond to walk us to the restaurant and give us recommendations at Park Hyatt, to our greeting from the hostess to our service from Saeid and Norma- everything was incredible. We ordered the- Guavarita which was a Tequila Cocktail with Guava Foam (the guava foam was SO good): $20- Seasonal Fruit Smash which was a Berry Mocktail: $14- Burrata Salad: I don’t remember the price but it was delicious- Local Blue Fin Crudo: I’m pregnant so I couldn’t taste this but my husband loved it- Tenderloin Steak with Chimichurri, Sweet Potatoes Side & Churros for DessertThe entire meal was absolutely delicious. The portions appeared small at first but they were so flavorful and with the various courses, it was actually the perfect amount. Each dish had a phenomenal presentation and we talked about the sweet potatoes and churros for days after- they were THAT good!We’re already looking forward to our next visit to the Park Hyatt Aviara and Ponto Lago. “Wow, I was blown away by my first visit here. The dishes I tried (a cauliflower and a protein cup apps) were so far beyond brewpub food it blew my mind. The balance of savory and spice was perfect.With a break selection of the own, as well as carefully selected guest taps, I couldn't have asked for more.But I was wrong. The staff I encountered were helpful, knowledgeable, and extremely friendly.I can't wait to come back and spend more time here.Oh, and loved the music they were playing!“

“Great local spot and my go to dive bar to watch sports and enjoy bar food. They have wing wednesday and my top picks are there philly cheesesteak with fried green beans, lemon pepper dry rub wings, and the bratwurst. Service is unique and puts a fun twist on letting you know your order is ready with funny names. Cant go wrong with any if their beers on the wall, i typically go with the #15 or #22 hazy beer“

“We like this place and the food is good but kinda pricey but everywhere it seems that way. A fair warning... we went for Thursday Karaoke night and reserved a table an hour before it started and planned on eating dinner and having drinks. Upon being seated, we were told we needed to order using our phones. We're seniors, so it's not easy for us, but we managed. We were also told that if all tables fill up, if we've been there longer than others, we would need to give up our table to others on the wait list. This meant standing which, with my mobility issues, is a problem. We mentioned this and the host said they would try to accommodate. As it turned out, we didn't end up needing to move but worried about this the entire evening. She said it's rare that they have to have you give up your table but still is crazy to do that to a group that is eating and drinking. We finished our food but we still ordered beer. The place never got busy enough for overflow and the weather probably helped that. The table behind us got seated are us and was not told about the table seating situation. So be warned if you go on a busy night, this could happen. Overall the place is cool, with arcade games for adults and kids and outdoor area is nice. Staff is very nice. Food and drink comes out fast which is good.“

“The food at Matsu was incredible. Super innovative without being overwhelmingly experimental, great textures, interesting flavors, all around a hit. The service was top notch. And the manager went above and beyond to adjust the timing for us because we had a crying infant.All around a fantastic experience and I wish them the best in their bid for a Michelin star. For sure as good if not better than many 1 star Michelin restaurants we’ve been to.If I had one minor critique it’s that they were out of one of the wines on their menu, which just means they need to update their inventory more often. On the flip side, they had a great by the glass menu.Overall, a tremendous experience.“

“One of my favorite restaurants as someone with celiac. Being able to have a proper burrito after almost two years of not having one??? I still fondly remember the two trips I made here, and dream of going back, even though I am rarely in this area (would go a little out of my way for it though!) The drinks are also really good. Long wait and difficulty to find seating only mean that others also think it's a great place, and that's something I love to see: all-gluten free places being attractive spots for people no matter their food restrictions or lack thereof.“

“We've visited PCS multiple times in the past month alone because we appreciate the quality service (including table service), excellent happy hour, and some pretty great cocktails. In an era of counter service only and automated menus, PCS is a great throwback spot for beer, whiskey, food, and service. The building has an indoor/outdoor concept, with a big outside patio wrapping around from the main entrance to the Pacific Coast Highway. Multiple indoor seating options with a view into the distillery. Excellent whiskey.“

“This facility and staff are phenomenal! Great food, great service, and awesome venue!We were recently married in Oceanside and had our Groom's Dinner at the Vault. There are a ton of different dinner / menu options and working through details was easy and very engaging. We had a party of about 45 people head from WI to CA for our ceremony; everyone was impressed with the night!Some highlights:-We had the whole facility to ourselves for the scheduled hours (which includes on-site bathrooms)-Food was excellent; they worked with us on food priority as we had a bunch of small kiddos who were hungry-Specialty drinks were excellent; they put together a "bride" and "groom's" take on our suggested drinks-Staff was very professional and very upbeat-Great music selection and sound system.-You can watch the kitchen staff work; food is served family style as it's needed (people can eat when they want).Overall: This was our gift to those that came out to see our wedding and it did not disappoint. If you want easy, elegant, delicious and fun, don't hesitate.“

I have to tell you though if you are a chocolate lover, they're s'mores dessert with chocolate mousse is over the top delicious. “For some reason, whenever I'd come here, I always got a sandwich with their delicious side salad. I never realized they had bowls and I'm always a sucker for a yummy bowl. I went for the salmon bowl that came with wild rice, sweet potatoes, edamame, kale, and a tasty sauce. I added avocado to it as well. I'm obsessed with this bowl! The staff is always friendly and the space is comfortable. One of my favorite easy, grab and go lunch spots!“
