“We love coming to Brazen and it's really our capstone dining experience when in the Dubuque / Galena area. The menu seems to be getting more extraordinary each time we visit, which is remarkable given the tremendous talent in the kitchen. There are so many crowd pleasing options on the menu but what really struck us this visit were the vegan options which is saying something since we recently came back from a trip to NYC which included a visit to 11 Madison Park where we enjoyed its vegan prix-fix.This visit I had the beet soup (amazing) and we both had the vegan butternut squash as our main - elegant, approachable and delectable. Subtle mastery of a dish that's straight forward but layered in complexity. For dessert, the vegan Swiss roll was truly a standout and should not be missed. The kids feasted on a generous, perfectly cooked and sliced NY strip which screamed welcome to the Midwest with an amazingly flavorful but not overwhelming horseradish cheese sauce and prodigious bunch of perfectly cooked fries. Lucky for the adults, we escaped with leftovers and so I am not unhappy about lunch tomorrow. On the beverage side, Brazen also really delights - the wines were thoughtfully selected and the cocktails were very well crafted. The immediate neighborhood has lots of fun after dinner options which is a great plus.The service at Brazen is also a treat as well. It's particularly remarkable in the post pandemic era that this restaurant delivers friendly, very knowledgeable and attentive service in a relaxed atmosphere that is suitable for foodies, diverse groups and families alike.Make the trip and visit if you are close by - you will be delighted by this standout dining experience.”

“Brought in friends to celebrate a birthday. Kim and her staff we amazing. We told her to create the menu for us and she brought us a beautiful menu. Everything was delicious and our guests got to take a bunch of leftovers home. The staff and service was fantastic and the cocktails Russ made were delicious. It was a great evening all around.”

“Found this winery on Google and so glad we did. Aaron was a great host, full of knowledge, humor and good conversation. It was so nice to find a Midwest winery that wasn't loaded with too sweet and fruity wine wannabes. The dry reds were amazing and my favorite. Overall the wines were flavorful and they didn't all taste alike. Something for every palette. It was a fun stop in our mini road trip. And we left with several bottles to tide us over until we come back.”

“Great tasting Chinese food. We were able to drop in and place an order to go and our food was still hot when we got home. I'm a vegetarian and was able to pick from a couple of options. Staff was super friendly and helpful to answer my questions about ingredients.Vegetarian options: There are options on the menu that appear to be vegetarian, but for me, I always ask questions about any new items I order to make sure there isn't any meat / chicken / fish stock used. “Great variety of beer! I am always amazed at their sour beers and always leave with some to go. Only downfall is food isn’t the best bang for your buck, but still very tasty.”

“We randomly stopped in on a Thursday evening for the first time. Before we entered there was a sign saying there was live music. We became skeptical because we have only experienced loud, obnoxious music in restaurants where you can't carry a conversation with anyone including the server. However we were surprised. The music was not overbearing and it was relaxing folk type music including Jimmy Buffet classics. Our server was amazing even getting our order correct, helping make adjustments to fit our dietary needs. The food was amazing. I had the Bank Burger and I am still thinking about how good it was a day later. We can't wait to come back.”

“Food was good, portions were good, and price was fair. Our server was not outstanding, but it looked like it was just the luck of the draw as everyone else seemed to be on their game. Menu selection was great, could easily go back multiple times and choose something different each time.”

“Came tonight for a quick bite to eat with my family and it was nice! Great Prices, Better Food, Good Service, Friendly Atmosphere! Husband suggests the Cheesesteak Sub, my 10 yr old loved the chicken tenders and fries, and I tore up the chicken wings and mozzarella sticks! Definitely recommend stopping by!”

“It's a great winery, but we were quite surprised with the $11-12/bottle "corking fee". There are many wineries that don't charge this fee......hmmm.”

“In the last month I have dined in the restaurant three times for lunch and have enjoyed the food and service very much. The salsa is hot but the chips seemed over cooked.The first 2 times the food service was fast. The 3rd time the food service took a bit longer but it was still reasonable it seemed as though they were short staffed.The burritos were delicious every time. I like the cheese sauce poured over them rather than the enchilada sauce.”

“I really like this HyVee. Always well stocked, clean and friendly staff. Great fruit and produce, a great selection at the meat counter and decent seafood. The inside Starbucks is currently being rennovated. What makes this HyVee different is they have an eating area. They serve dynamite breakfast; large portions and great tasting. They also serve hot and cold sandwiches for lunch. Highly recommended.”

“Food was good but our service was even better. Lily is probably one of the best servers I’ve ever had. Husband had prime rib and was very happy with it. My chicken was extremely tender. All in all good but Lily made it wonderful.”

“Went for a galentine's day dinner with friends, server was friendly and attentive. Food was timely. Got the kickin shrimp and wild mushroom and steak flatbread, both very good. Also ordered the filet and bourbon BBQ bacon wrapped shrimp, the salmon and salad, it was all very good. Salmon was a little crisp on top, great texture. The bacon wrapped shrimp is definitely the star of the show. Would go back for that. Cajun pasta was okay, would prefer a cream sauce instead and more Cajun flavor.”

“So my Chinese craving week continues before endless eating turkey feast begins! Hooray!! I had a doctors appointment in Dubuque, Iowa. I had to stop at Hy-Vee on Locust for a last minute Thanksgiving list. And first things first, it was lunch time so we went to Chinese deli & had a variety of foods to chose from but we again chose Chinese, and our choices were black, pepper chicken, twice cooked pork & the sides came with plain lo mein, plain fried rice, crab Rangoon, and eggrolls. But then I went ahead and bought two BBQ pork steamed buns because they are the best. I usually make it myself but since they were there why not treat myself. And all that was scrumptious, and everything was only $23.53. You can't beat that. Hy-Vee had a special buy a ham @ $5.99 per lb and get a free turkey, so it was a good deal! I saw Starbucks at a glance & before exiting the store I had to try the venti peppermint mocha! It's okay & good but I will stick with my ultimate favorite which is venti ice vanilla latte with whip cream hot or cold!! So I suggested my BF and I divide and conquer, while he stood in line at the checkout and I stood in line for my drink this way we can be done and head home! However I was not happy about one thing, it wouldn't be a big deal but since we're out of town it kind of was! Time was limited and we were on a mission. The aluminum roasting pan was mishandled either by the cashier or the bagger but when we got home my BF noticed a nickel sized hole at the bottom of pan. He did mention something to me in the car that he didn't like how the pan was handled during check out but at the time I thought it's not a big deal. But now that we're home I know what he was referring to. I didn't get it before! And for an aluminum pan it wasn't cheap either!! If I was at checkout & not in line at Starbucks we wouldn't be home with a hole at the bottom of our aluminum pan is all I'm saying! This man needs to speak up and not after the fact!! Oh well, I head that way a lot so I will stop by for a refund as a Starbucks coffee or for a lottery ticket lol!!! Just a little side humor!! A slight hiccup but going forward never leave your man at checkout alone! Lo!! I was able to redeem my scratch ticket for $36 and bought more. Overall this was a really one stop shop for all... Recommended but be mindful if you're local or especially out of town, to double check your groceries or items for damaged or forgotten items before leaving the parking lot. 1st time review for this store as part of a Yelp elite squad! Thank you!!”

Definitely a must if you're searching for a fancy and authentic Italian restaurant for friends and family to enjoy!”
