“This was the most flavorful meal I have had in years! We asked for house picks and shared amongst 3 of us. AMAZING. Service exceptional. The staff all helped each other with smiles- so nice to see. Chef Joe Flamm was present, pleasant and engaged with staff and customers. Treat yourself to something special.“
“Kind hearted people are quite rare to find as cooperate people or as individuals also. I'm sharing a 4 years friendship and business relationship i've shared with Mr Ralph Carico for being such an awesome, kind and specially oriented. Thank you for being supportive each time i buy and invest in digital stocks and coins with your firm.“
“Wow - an absolutely perfect bar experience. If you like Bar Goto in NYC, this is like turning that experience up a couple of notches. Flawlessly executed cocktails, bar food executed with great precision, and an ambience that would easily have me believe this was transported straight from Japan.“
“Truly enjoyed the Puttery experience! We came in on a Saturday during St. Patrick’s day weekend. Fortunately, Ryan advised us to come during a time in which we can enjoy the game and the ambiance. The restaurant/bar area on the 2nd floor was great for eating and obtaining our amazing drinks. They have some of the best mixed drinks in West Loop! The BBQ on Saturday Night was my favorite. We took our drinks to the 3rd floor in the lounge/bar to have a nice, cozy conversation before the game. The patio had some great views of West Loop.We took to the holes when we were all warmed up for our mini golf session. Although the 3rd floor course had flatter and more adventurous areas, the 2nd floor course was more intimate and challenging. There can only be up to 4 people in a traveling group though. My date and I ended up having a fun time.I want to thank Ryan, the manager, for helping to make this a memorable experience. We will be back soon with friends.“
“If you're looking for a place to have some great drinks in a super cool atmosphere, this is the place! There are the tiki torches in the alleyway. Then you descend stairs into the basement with neat lighting and skulls. Reservations are definitely recommended but we were able to squeeze in at the bar when a couple was leaving. The tiki bar speakeasy vibes are great. We had a painkiller and gremlins after dark (a fun neon drink). We also ordered the crab rangoons which were so delicious and flavorful (we should have ordered more). We stuck around for a little with our drinks and then walked around the place. The booths also look so cute. And then they even have a little gift shop where you can buy their unique drink containers.“
“My husband and I loved this place. Everything was on point from the quality of the food. The precision of the handcrafted cocktails the ambience, jazz music and the owners hands-on management. We cannot wait to return. It has everything we love about Chicago.“
“Loved, loved everything about Bar Mar! From the inventive and excellent food and drinks to the ambience & the fun vibe, topped off with the attentive staff this all added up to the wonderful dining experience! Plus, the amazing humanitarian & owner, Jose Andres got it right with Bar Mar. Nice to support good people.“
“We had drinks in The Aldermen portion. The drinks were incredible. Best gin and tonic I’ve ever had. Lance was running the show that night. We told him what we liked, and he nailed it. I would seriously put Lance as one of the best bartenders in the world. Yes, we will be back. Sad thing is, when I go other places, they won’t compare. The Pilsen Yards space looked fun, and did have great outdoor space. Another one of Chicago’s great neighborhoods to explore.“
“We were a party of 6 people, tried the black croquettes, corn Madeleine, the vegetables , the fried chicken and the salt. Everything was delicious. Cocktails were very good too. The service was a bit long but at the same time, it is pleasant to not be rushed in a restaurant and to have time to eat your plates without anyone asking you every 5 min if you were done.I will definitely be back“
“This place has been a favorite for years and it doesn't disappoint. Growing up in the UK, I can honestly say that the stuff here is pretty authentic. Make reservations in advance, this place is rightfully busy. Personal favorites are the fish and chips (served in "newspaper" like in the UK) and the chips and curry where the curry is the closest to the English curry you get in the pubs in Blightly. There are other must try's on the menu like the big wedge of triple cream cheese, and their burgers are good too. Service is excellent with wait staff who really try to accommodate you. Seating is a little cosy but not uncomfortable and the place has a nice English/Irish pub feel to it.“
“This has quickly become my favorite restaurant. Even when packed, the line to order moves at a good pace. The food has been good/great.The atmosphere is very easy, there’s a nice level of music and chatter. You can hear the people you’re with & a toddler’s excited talking won’t be a distraction to the other diners. The staff is very nice!!The sauce station!!! Amazing.Lids for sauce & take home boxes.Kudos to the creators for making this seamless restaurant. And a spot to grab good coffee!Kid-friendliness: The atmosphere is very easy, there’s a nice level of music and chatter. You can hear the people you’re with & a toddler’s excited talking won’t be a distraction to the other diners.“
“First off, the vibes here are immaculate. The restaurant is located on the second floor of Soho House, and the ambiance is very intimate--perfect for a smaller party. The menu is pretty straightforward. There aren't a lot of options to choose from, but each item is very unique. What we ordered: Caliente en los Trópicos: pretty yummy! Supposed to be spicy, but the spice is not overbearing at all. An interesting cocktail. Ceviche: a great way to start the dinner. Very shareable; love the balance of sour and savory flavors. Tuna Tostada: my favorite! I've never had a tuna tostada before, and it's nothing like what I expected. Mussels: you cannot go wrong with the mussels. The bread goes so well with this. Considering the dishes seem so original and the quick service, I'd definitely recommend this spot to my friends.“
“It's not just a place to eat but a place to really have an experience that will be sure to leave an impression. The atmosphere, the service, And food all Together make this a classy and memorable experience. The back oyster bar reminds me of New Orleans, being able to step right off of bourbon street. Take a seat at the bar, order and enjoy I'm definitely one of My favorite downtown restaurants.“
“Gotta kick this off with kudos to Eduardo, an amazing staff member at this establishment. He helped curate both my drink and menu selections for the night, was super knowledgeable and attentive throughout. I ordered the pineapple aquachiles, roasted oysters and lamb neck birria. All were very tasty, however the lamb birria was life changing. Will definitely be returning for another round soon.“
“First time I took my wife to the solaso restaurant the food we ordered was the tacos the tripas cochinita pibil tacos in the onion with the lime all delicious and also we ordered the the drinks and a dessert that that churros what the topping a chocolate in ice cream I'm very recommend this restaurant definitely definitely a back again and waitress Lezly very good ???“
“Absolutely divine. A must when in west loop. The food is carefully and expertly crafted- Shout out to Chef Cristiano.Their wine selection is far beyond any selection I've seen just about anywhere else in the same area. So many yummy and authentic options.Service was top notch Ms Luana was an absolute pleasure. She is so kind and personable and really made us feel like family. Will absolutely be back to try another round of Chefs specials!“
“Finally stopped into Rye. Cool that they have a full buffet (connected to the crown plaza) but we tried the bagels. Really enjoyed it! Would recommend for a quick breakfast or lunch. I had the one with tomatoes and really liked it! A bit messy so get “
“I went to La Josie during restaurant week and I was pleasantly surprised. My server was very nice and gave good insight on the restaurant week dishes: The tamale was PERFECT, a tad bit spicy but flavorful. I'm not sure if that is on the regular menu but it definitely should be. The churro cheesecake was amazing and melted in my mouth. The burrito was mediocre however, I was so impressed by everything else it didn't bother me much.“
“Decided to go out very last minute for my birthday & wanted to try something new. I’ve heard nothing but great things about Nine Bar & couldn’t wait to check it out with my friends. This place exceeded my expectations, the drinks were phenomenal, music was great, service was amazing! On top of that, security made sure not to have the place super packed so they limit the amount of people coming in. Just the atmosphere alone was so good, you didn’t feel like you were in Chicago. I had a few friends who weren’t drinking and they brought over a great selection of Mocktails. Overall if you are looking for a great time & something different this is the place. They know exactly what they’re doing & provide great service which is all you can ask for.“
“Amazing cocktail bar with great ambiance and drinks! Amazing mixologist at the bar - Matt was very passionate and knowledgeable about his cocktails. We had 6 different cocktails total and all were delicious. The winners for me:- Lost Explorer: if you like mezcal!- Purple Pisco Sour: a little sweeter but the maracuya foam is delish!“
“i absolutely loved dining here. the cosy moodiness, the partially open kitchen, record player tunes, knowledgeable and attentive staff, delicious duck.did i mention the delicious duck? and every dish we had ..even the popcorny dessert was uniquely inviting. beautiful fun find and definitely worth your time.“
“The food and staff were amazing! Such a friendly staff who were extremely welcoming and attentive. I have never ordered ‘seconds’ at a restaurant until today! The tostadas were out of this world and the shrimp taco was delicious. A must try!“
“I've come here twice with a few people and each time we had a pleasant experience. I got an old fashion that was prepared nicely and was tasty. We've gotten the flatbread pizzas every time, and they are a great value for the amount of flavor. If you're looking for a nice restaurant with good views and food, this is a good option.“
“Great restaurant for a girl's night, date night, out small group outing! The food was great and so were the drinks. I had the ribeye, which was cooked perfectly and incredibly reasonably priced. I love that we didn't feel rushed to leave after we ate our food. We talked for hours and even got free shots when the waiter had to leave and dropped off the check "early". He was really kind and thoughtful. I'm excited to try different menu items here. + they accept reservations“
“Great place to start my St Patrick's Day. Perfect location - I saw the Chicago River turned green while upstairs. The staff was very cool and well-prepared for the rapidly increasing number of bar hoppers like myself.Darts booths can be reserved, but there are also first-come-first-serve boards available on the first level. I will definitely be back next time I visit Chicago.“
“Randomly popped in here on a self proclaimed “espresso martini bar crawl” and am so happy we did! The staff is hands down the best I’ve experienced in the city, everything we’ve eaten has been amazing (espresso martini included), and it’s relatively easy to get a spot at the bar. 10/10 recommend!“
“We went back to Citrine for pre-concert eats on our way to Chicago. This is a Mediterranean-type restaurant. Cocktails are good, food is good. Service is impeccable. Our server this visit was Theo, and he was attentive and friendly. The other staff from the young woman who sat us to the guys who delivered food and cleared the table were attentive and always gave us a smile. My husband and I started out with a glass of wine and a cocktail. We decided once again to share small plates together. We had the New York strip steak tartare. It's absolutely fabulous so we had to have it again. Fresh steak with a raw egg on top that oozes into the steak as you break it, it's perfection. We also got the homemade lepinja bread served warm with a couple spreads. I can't eat nuts or seeds and it came out covered with sesame seeds. No problem, Theo was more than happy to take it back and have bread made just for me without seeds. That's great service. We then shared the roasted beet salad which had arugula, goat cheese, avocado, and orange. It was a very small salad for the price of $14. Having said that, the salad was fresh and I liked the different textures, but it was the size of a small side salad and not worth the price. I would pass on this my next visit. The final dish we shared was the shrimp and grits. The shrimp were large and grilled perfectly, the grits were creamy. This dish was packed with flavor and some heat. Delicious. Citrine accepts reservations and parking is paid street parking. I definitely recommend this restaurant and you must try the steak tartare. So damn delicious!“
“Our server Santana was great, we were there for brunch and we were looking forward to some hot coffee (which they do not serve), but Santana made us some hot coffee even though it was not on the menu to welcome us. He was great in making sure that we had everything! Would go back just to have him as a server again, the food was delicious, maybe they could include hot coffee on their menu in the future.“
“I think I ordered tofu kimchi, bossam, and tripe hotpot. It tastes impeccably great. It's perfect for a glass of soju during a business trip. There are staff who can speak Korean and are friendly.I remember that local customers were eating a lot of gamjatang.I was a little lost because I couldn't find the entrance. I barely found the entrance to the strange basement and was scared going down the stairs, but once I got inside, it was a whole new world haha. It would be nice to know in more detail how to get there.“
“A Chicago institution. If you don't like Maria's then you probably don't like Chicago. That's fine, but why u here? Maria's is a great place to chill with a cold one. They don't have a huge tap list, but they do have a nicely curated mix of local brews. They also have old standbys like Old Style and PBR. Even on a Sunday afternoon they had good music playing. Maria's feels like home. Thats Chicago.“
“Since moving to Cicero in 2020 this has been our spot. Food is always on point, service is super friendly and they have an outdoor patio that we can bring our pup pup.Vegetarian options: There's always something vegan or vegetarian friendly.“
“Hands down amazing. It's not your daddy's steak house, it's modern, it's new, it's upbeat. It's expensive and worth every penny. Happy hour is a must, solid prices on drinks and bites. The westholme strip wagyu was hands down the best steak I've had in Chicago. The cut of meat for the price was impressive.“
“The omakaze experience was phenomenal. The chef and his assistants were all extremely personable, the food was exquisite, and the night was overall amazing. A bit on the spendy side after drink pairing and restaurant-added 20% gratuity (which I'd have given anyway, but perhaps one of the few occasions I'd forgive auto-adding such is for Omakaze given the limited seating) but no regrets, it truly was a delight, just one to be saved for special occasions. Their preparation of taking (octopus) sashimi may be the best I've ever had, and everything was just melt in your mouth. Totally would go back.“
“I recently dined at ROOH Chicago, and I can confidently say it was an unforgettable experience that deserves a solid 5-star review! From the delectable food to the inviting ambiance, exceptional service, and perfect location, ROOH Chicago has it all. Let's start with the food. The culinary journey at ROOH is nothing short of exceptional. I kicked off my meal with the Pink City cocktail, which was a perfect blend of unique flavors and a great way to start the evening. The Chili Cheese Kulcha was a delightful appetizer that packed a flavorful punch, and the Sweet Potato Chaat was a wonderful explosion of textures and tastes. For the main course, the Bagara Baingan and the Bengali Lamb Shank truly stole the show. The Bagara Baingan was a flavorful vegetarian delight, while the Bengali Lamb Shank was fall-off-the-bone tender and rich in aromatic spices. These dishes showcased the diversity and depth of Indian cuisine. The saffron cheesecake for dessert was the perfect ending to an already outstanding meal. Its subtle saffron undertones and velvety texture left me craving more. The ambiance at ROOH is something to behold. The interior design is modern, yet it maintains a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant is beautifully lit, creating a warm and welcoming environment that's perfect for a romantic dinner or a get-together with friends. The vibe at ROOH is trendy and sophisticated, making it a great place for special occasions or just a memorable night out. It strikes the right balance between elegance and comfort, making you feel at ease from the moment you walk in. Service at ROOH Chicago is top-notch. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and extremely courteous. They guided us through the menu, making excellent recommendations and ensuring our dining experience was seamless and enjoyable. The location of ROOH Chicago is also a plus. Situated in the heart of the city, it's convenient and easy to access, making it an ideal spot for locals and visitors alike. In conclusion, ROOH Chicago is a gem in the city's culinary scene. The food is exceptional, the ambiance is delightful, the vibe is chic, the service is impeccable, and the location is prime. If you're looking for a memorable dining experience that combines the best of Indian cuisine and modern elegance, ROOH Chicago is the place to be. I can't wait to return and savor their incredible dishes once again!“
“Last Friday, my team and I had the pleasure of dining at Maya Del Sol, and I cannot express enough gratitude for the incredible service we received. After a long day of meetings, we were looking forward to unwinding and enjoying some good food, and Maya Del Sol exceeded our expectations. We had a party of about 22 people, which can be quite challenging for any restaurant to handle, but the staff at Maya Del Sol handled it with grace and efficiency. Our server, Erin, deserves special recognition for her outstanding service. She was attentive, fast, and incredibly patient with our large group. It's not easy to cater to the needs of 22 people, but Erin did it flawlessly and with a smile on her face. I have no doubt that Erin went home exhausted after serving us, but her exceptional customer service truly made our dining experience unforgettable. Thank you, Erin and the rest of the Maya Del Sol team, for your hard work and dedication. We will definitely be back for more delicious food and fantastic service!“
“Visited on 17MAR2024Great: The servers were friendly and great, despite the 1.5 hrs wait. The ambiance was very chill, though the low lights made it hard to see if you are vision impaired. The lupita was small and tasty and the chicken + veg gyoza was delicious. The Uber cheesecake was very good. The yuzu lemonade was great, though I couldn't taste the cilantro. The pork belly bun was good, but spicier than expected.Good: The chicken karaage was small and dry. The sumo ramen noodles were too chewy and a bit under cooked. The chasu pork was more like pork belly. The Thai tea creme brulee was interesting, but tasted like the Thai tea that is in the can.“
“vibes were vibin' and the music was bumpin' all while I got drunk drinking a delicious cocktail and told my entire life story, in all its naursty detail, to my coworker. we then walked to the Chiu Quon next door but they were out of most things cuz it was 9:30, then we went to miniso and I bought a cute watermelon duck plushie, then we went to Mango Mango and got Durian dessert and tried going to Ping Tom park to eat it but got kicked out by the scummy park police (ACAB). anyways, bar was great, 10/10“
“Can't say enough about this wonderful place. The food is some of the best even against the great Mexican food in Chicago. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the love that exists. Drinks are some of the best I've had and the creativity is second to none. My wife and I really enjoy coming here trust me, when you're here you're family. Gracias“
“I just want to start by saying this is my first time in the city and I decided to take a leap of faith coming out alone. I had a fabulous dinner at The Hampton Social. Our serving suggested we check out the bar in the lower level called Basement. The entrance is on the side of the building kind of a hidden gem. Micheal and Effy took care of myself and my friend. To my surprise they had amazing LIVE music!! I will definitely be coming back and bringing all my friends! Thank you Effy for taking care of us!“
“Came here for a private party event on a Sunday afternoon. Space is really nice and chair, tables and other seats were nice. They played good music and had two large t.v.s playing different games for people at the bar. The drinks were well made, but with so many people, they definitely needed more than just two people. But it was nice to have a small sitting area outside in the back as well.“
“Phenomenal...been there a few times and never disappointed. The food was amazing and the presentation of the plates were perfect.....the atmosphere was classy..and the service was impeccable. I was so impressed I went back there 2 weeks after...“
“I visited Holloway's Bar for happy hour while staying at the Springhill Suites Downtown Chicago. I opted to sit at the bar. It wasn't packed, which was great, since I was decompressing from work. The happy hour menu a variety of drinks and small bites. I opted for the Love potion for drinks. It was very whimsical, yet good. I was craving something sweet, so I decided to go with the salted caramel brownie. It sounded wayyy better than it actually tasted. The brownie was hard and difficult to bite into. It was really warm, so the ice cream didn't really melt. It was pretty underwhelming. Thankfully the drinks made up for that. The service was decent and the ambiance was nice. I'd recommend this for a drink for sure!“
“How stunning is this restaurant! We went on a summer weekend for brunch and it was the perfect spot with beautiful river views. The interior is also nicely decorated and would be great for meals in the winter. The food and service were also great. We liked the mezze appetizer platter.“
“We dined here last night before going to a show. Aric, our amazing server came to the table and right away asked “are you going to theatre tonight” we told him yes at 8. He took it upon himself to keep our dinner rolling at a nice pace while keeping us on schedule. The food was fantastic! The service was phenomenal!! Thanks Aric, we will be back :)“
“A humble looking gem in the city. Everything about this place is good. Friendly, accommodating staff, delish food, ample servings with background music that allows for normal conversation. When I'm back in that area I'll def go back.“
“Oh my gosh!! This is the most amazing place ever. We had fantastic service, fantastic food and such a wonderful time. The food just goes beyond words. I can’t even describe how delicious it is. If you want to have an incredible dining experience, you need to stop in. Our waiter was Don and he did an absolutely perfect job. The hostess greeted us immediately with a pleasant smile and a very polite and professional attitude. Our waiter Don was Very attentive to our needs and very knowledgeable about the specials and everything on the menu. I can’t say enough about our experience. What a reward. Thank you to the family for having such a great place. A+ all across the board!!!!“
“Staff, drinks, and vibes were all on point. I had to wait for my party to arrive yet Taylor and her staff were understanding and accommodating. Our server Paige was super attentive and all of her suggestions were easily the favorites among the table. Don’t think I’ve ever had a mezcal cocktail like the ones I had here. If you’re looking for a couple of cocktails before/after dinner COME HERE.“
“Wow. In one word, wow. I have had the best meal of my life ever tonight. I would be okay if that was my final meal. I could eat the same thing for forever and not get bored of it. Everything was so well prepared and the staff was so kind and informative. The atmosphere was super beautiful and just overall contributed to the chill/intimate mood.“
“Absolutely, let's amp up the excitement: 16th Street Bar & Lounge is an absolute gem! I had the pleasure of attending their open mic night, and wow, was I blown away by the talent on display. They truly embrace the spirit of creativity, allowing anyone who signs up to take the stage and share their passion. The atmosphere was electric with fun, and the spoken word performances? Simply out of this world. Plus, the drinks flowed, contributing to the hip and relaxed vibe that enveloped the whole place. There were countless unforgettable moments throughout the night. And the cherry on top? I got the chance to share a poem dedicated to my wife. It was a night to remember. If you're looking for a place with fantastic talent, great vibes, and a welcoming crowd, 16th Street Bar & Lounge is the spot. Don't miss out! Mark your calendars! Every second Monday of the month, I'll be making a grand return, ready to dazzle and engage with even more vigor than before. Next month, it's on – I'll be back in full force, bringing energy, enthusiasm, and perhaps a few surprises too. Don't miss it!“
“I’ve been to this location many times for lunch and dinner, mostly pick up. The food here is quality is very good, the lunch menu is a great deal as seen on photo, the portion is great. Compliments to the Chef and all of the hard working staff! I recommend getting the jalapeño fried rice ! It is amazing!Parking: Parking lot on side of building“
