“I’ve been here many times and have always had good food and good service. The menu changes based on the seasons though a few options are always on the menu. I’ve never had a bad meal here. The duck is very good, but they have excellent fish and vegetarian options. Once, service was slow, and they comped us a pasta they brought to us while we waited for what we had ordered and the dessert we ordered at the end. Which brings me to the other positive of Duck Inn and that’s the service. I’ve never had bad service here. The Duck Inn is a special place and reflects well on the Chicago food scene.“
“We were warmly greeted by Chelsea when we arrived. We were seated at a cozy table toward the back of the restaurant. Frank Sinatra music was playing in the background. Our waitress Melissa brought us water to the table with the days specials. There is a good wine & cocktail selection. We started with the shrimp & calamari along with truffle fries for an appetizer. The shrimp & calamari were cooked perfectly while seasoned with the right amount of oil and garlic. The truffle fries garlic aoli sauce was very good, not overpowering. For dinner, we had chicken parmesan served with penne pasta as the side. The portion size was big. The chicken was cooked well, not overloaded with sauce and the right amount of cheese. The other dish order was the risotto of the day, shrimp & grape tomato. Highly recommend the risotto. It was cooked perfectly with big delicious shrimp mixed in with the risotto. As delicious as it was, room was being saved for dessert. Not many restaurants serve flourless chocolate cake, but Frankie's 1988 does. It is served with a carmel sauce, pecans, and vanilla gelato. I have had many flourless chocolate cakes in my life, and none compare to the one made at Frankie's. It is dense, almost like dark chocolate fudge that just melts in your mouth. They also have canolis, tirimisu, and an assortment of gelato. The staff was so nice, checking on us throughout our dinner, ensuring we were never out of water. Frankie introduced himself to us as we were leaving. We had to tell him how amazing the risotto was today. Frankie said that their kitchen is a scratch kitchen and will gladly make items not on the menu if the kitchen has the ingredients. Frankie's 1988 is a 5 Star restaurant nestled in a strip mall in Tinley Park.Dietary restrictions: Many gluten-free and vegetarian options are available.“

They played good music and had two large t.v.s playing different games for people at the bar. The drinks were well made, but with so many people, they definitely needed more than just two people. “My partner and I came here for drinks after our dinner at Maribel. The bartender is friendly and checked on us several times throughout the evening which I appreciate. They serve pretty much anything you can imagine from mixed drinks to seltzers to beers. My partner ordered two handshakes (Malort shot + Old Style). I ended up trying one of their mixed drinks called Spring Fling which has vodka and other ingredients in it. I appreciate my drink being on the stronger side, where you can taste and feel the alcohol in it, but there's still a bit of flavor and fruitiness to it. There's ample seating at the bar and in the back. It's a fun time, they had the Soxs and the Cubs games on on their TVs. It can be a bit loud where you can hear each other's conversations. It was pretty busy on a Tuesday evening. They also take card and cash here which is convenient. I'd recommend this place to anyone in the area looking for a good time and affordable drinks.“

The food was packaged nicely in trays and large bags to ensure it would travel ok in the car. It was still hot when we served it and our guests raved about it. “Hey what's up guys thank you for checking out my new review so let's get right into it my team and I were lucky for a while to chill have a few laughs talk s*** you know the regular the first place we went to close early so remember in Chatham call City Life restaurant lounge understand it's been years since I've been here but the last time I went I had a great time now with my team and I got there it must have been a birthday party and the older hostess didn't even acknowledge my team and I she looked at us as if we we're foreign or from another planet it took almost 45 minutes for her to even acknowledge that we were in need of service I was going to buy the first round of drinks for my team I almost left and then we'll be right knowledge her attitude really wasn't pleasant I get that one all the servers were working online register and I work in this industry of training bartenders and I've been on the other side as the server before so I will more than understanding that's why I didn't leave so another lady came in to assist us she got everyones order right except mine the lady apologize I still tipped her I believe in tipping for good service the thing I really noticed was her attitude was very Pleasant being a third server came in and she was phenomenal towards me and my team for the rest of the night I can't really give a review on the food we didn't have any food over there but the atmosphere and the service was good I give it a 4.5 like I said the only thing I didn't like is the first service attitude that really could have pushed me away if I didn't understand the business which was still no excuse for the way that she went about handling my team and I but no harm no fowl I still enjoy the rest of the night I would definitely be back hopefully they have the second register I'll be running so people can be attended to quickly and smoothly“
