“Great food, variety impressive. Special mentions for the miso tofu salmon tasty (even though it didn't taste like salmon, which was still ok), ahi watermelon hand roll, gyoza dumplings (though wish there was steam-only option), carrot cake and the Al Pastor bowl was yum. Sadly, service was slow and inattentive during mid afternoon which took away from the experience.“

“Hands down the best hotel experience I’ve had thus far in life. I cannot imagine staying anywhere else in Chicago now! I will be sure to book here next time I’m downtown. Special shoutout to Nina (unfortunately that’s the only name I remember, but everyone deserves their own shout out). She was so so kind and thoughtful. I was deeply touched that she carried my luggage out because the bellman was away briefly. That’s what makes hotels like this stand out! 🙂 I actually got a little teary eyed writing this just upon reflecting on the kindness of the staff. All the best! - James Schauff 🫶🏼“

“Hands down, this was most incredible dining experience I've had the pleasure of tasting in my life. My husband was able to reserve a table for us same day, and while we waited to be seated in the sushi bar at the back, we were served a couple of delicious cocktails. Once seated, the real magic began!
I have never tasted such unique creations before. Each bite was exquisite, each fish's unique flavors complimented but not overwhelmed by the incredibly fresh ingredients atop each piece, expertly crafted and delightfully arranged. Omakase can be a bit of an intimidating experience, especially if you are not sure what you are getting. It can be an experiment in trust. I can say that after the first bite of sushi, the tartare, I wholeheartedly trusted whatever Chef Marcos wanted to put on my plate!
The sushi chefs were so talented and so friendly, answering all our questions about the food and more. I felt I got to know Chef Marcos in particular, who was both skilled, well traveled, and wicked fun to talk to. He even delighted me by speaking a bit of Vietnamese, which I found impressive and charming in equal amounts.
I cannot say enough about how mind-blowing this dining experience was. If I am ever back in Chicago, you can bet I will be back again to enjoy what new creations Chef Marcos has in store for the season.
Dietary restrictions: It is also of note that my husband has a shellfish allergy, and all chefs were incredibly careful in accommodating my husband's allergy, subbing out ingredients so that he wouldn't miss out on anything. I found their care and attention to detail to his allergy be very impressive, and I'm sure anyone with any dietary restrictions will find them equally accommodating. Just let them know when you make the reservation.“

“Very nice experience with very tasty food. One problem was we had one very rude couple that showed up 25 minutes late and was watching loud YouTube videos and overall being very rude. I was celebrating my birthday and we were disrupted by this couple making remarks in Chinese which I could understand berating the chef for not giving him extra scallions as a side dish. I would suggest the host to either not allow them to dine after being so late or to at least tell them to be respectful“
