“The service is always amazing, the green tea is fantastic, the atmosphere is lovely and the sushi is out of this world! The sushi chefs are VERY conscientious of food allergies and modifications are not only recommended but often accommodated. We highly suggest the edamame with garlic, salt and spice. Delicious!! For sushi their Grinch roll is a must. We have never been disappointed with anything we’ve tried and we have went way outside of our comfort zone a few times. ;)”

“Food was excellent, great food choices (especially the specials). Our server was attentive and helpful on menu choices. Drinks were Good too ! Several Lent type fish choices. New owner and new chef did an excellent job. We will be back.”

“I met my parents here the other day as we both traveled some distance to meet up. This restaurant was absolutely wonderful atmosphere, small & quiet when we were there. I believe we had their lunch menu, and I ordered the Capellini pasta, my dad got Eggplant Parmesan, and my mom got the Italian Beef. Unfortunately I would suggest the entire staff of the restaurant needs to eat that same sandwich my mom ordered. She said it was dry & had no flavor, as if they boiled the fatty meat in plain water and threw it onto a crispy piece of bread. Thankfully she said something(my mom has never sent food back my entire life and I’m in my 20’s she’s in her 60’s) so for her to ask it to be removed from the bill just shows how gross it was.Our server was WONDERFUL, and of course she took it off the bill, and encouraged my mom to order another dish. She settled on the Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and broccoli. She was throughly pleased with that dish, so it all ended well.The restaurant seemed cleaned and well managed other than maybe their Italian beef haha.Advice for future customers, don’t order their beef unless they change their recipe.Advice for the restaurant, PLEASE have a tasting going on for your staff members. The person who creates/created the recipes and cooks them needs to allow constructive criticism/feedback on their dishes. It really helps your staff;A) know your food betterB) allows for more ideas to help your kitchen/staff blossomWould definitely come back here again due to the wonderful service and delicious pasta!”

“I had breakfast here on a Wednesday and Saturday morning. Both times were peaceful, quiet, and relaxing. I enjoyed the service and my order was ready in a fair amount of time. I first had the veggie bliss omelette and the berry bliss pancakes. The omelette was satisfying and the berry bliss pancakes stood out on their own. The fruit and sweet glaze did not require any additional syrup and made for some delicious pancakes. I liked the barbacoa skillet the second time around. I think the meat could have had a little more seasoning , but the side of sour cream and picante sauce helped bring more flavor to the skillet. This time I had plain pancakes and they were no were as good as the berry bliss! Triple Berry is a solid breakfast spot for some good eats.”

I ended up ordering 2 jerk steak and shrimp empanadas and a lemon pepper chicken empanada and all I can say is wow! I was so excited to try them that I forgot to take a picture beforehand. “I was there last night for the first time for a birthday party. The service was wonderful, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was very nice. I took at peek at the outdoor dinning and it looked so nice and what a view! The bartenders were fabulous! They had karaoke there last night too. Oh, and if you like carrot cake or cheese cake, (I’m sure all the desserts are just as delicious) save room for dessert! I will definitely be coming back.”

“We are at Carminas because it was on our way back to our hotel and we just wanted Mexican food. Gabby was our server and she was amazing!! The food was fresh. We had flautas and a skirt steak with delicious sauce. The rice and guacamole were excellent as was the refried beans. The atmosphere was wonderful with brightly colored murals on the walls. We are glad we took the chance and stopped. Planning a return visit when we are back on the area next August.”

“Last night I went to a place that has been on my list for quite a while. I went to Papa Saverios on 853 s Randall Rd in Elgin. It's a takeout and delivery place. While my pizza was cooking I chatted with the owner Sarah. She is a very nice and tries really hard to give her customers the best product. I went with the 14" sausage pizza. Very crispy and firm crust with a light dusting of cornmeal and cooked perfectly in that CUTLER oven. The sauce had some oregano and a very fresh tomato taste. The GRANDE cheese is the best and it's silky smooth with a great flavor. Dean's homemade sausage didn't disappoint. The sausage was very juicy and had a good amount of fennel. All of the ingredients just went together perfectly and you could almost taste the freshness of the ingredients. This was a damn good pizza and I highly recommend this place. ✨”

“We took my grandma there for her birthday lunch and they were absolutely amazing! They went above and beyond to make her day special and they surprised all of us by bringing out a cake and a sparkler candle for her just because they overheard us talking about it being her birthday. we didn't even ask them to do that, they just did it. I am very pleased with our experience. The food was delicious, the drinks were spectacular, and the staff was so nice! We will absolutely be back!”

“These guys really do it right. Fresh, tasty, fast, fair price. Best Chinese take out west of River in Elgin IL. It is our "go to" spot. The host is weird and cranky but consistently so. Everything else is amazing, every time!”
