Our server and Jesse was wonderful, and when he wasn’t available home, there was another manager who came and brought items out, so there was no delay in service while he was attending another customer and socialized at the table. We dined outside on the patio underneath the heat lamp and lights. The Barn was the perfect atmosphere for our relaxing evening together. We were very pleased with all that we ordered as well as the service. We would highly recommend the Barn restaurant to others.”

Thanks Trevor for nudging me outside my comfort zone to find my new favorite!! We will definitely be back!”

“I've driven past this place so many times and I finally decided to try it out. Only carry-out and delivery right now with the pandemic. I ordered 2 Big Island Classic burgers, 1 smokehouse burger, and another basic burger with one small cheese fry. It took 25-30min for preparation. This seems to be a 2 man operation (dad and maybe his daughter) and it was at prime lunchtime. I didn't realize the description online said the island and smokehouse burgers were on french bread so that was a surprise but not bad. Personally, we weren't the biggest fans of how the burgers were cooked, charred and well-done, but the toppings were great and my sister said the ketchup to mayo ratio on hers was perfect! The cheddar fries are Merkt's cheddar which I now know isn't my favorite but for those that like Merkt's, there is lots of it and covers all the fries. Thanks for lunch, Little Island :-)”

“I first got introduced to this place circa 1958-59! I doubt it is the same ownership but their hotdogs topped off with sliced tomatoes and celery salt brings back memories of my youth-long ago. I still go there every time I visit Chicago.”

Nevertheless, we sent a blind inquiry looking for information on a performer who appeared at Found Kitchen 3 years ago. Our inquiry is never going to make any money for Amy, we know that and she knows that. Altho she could have blown off our request, she had her staff reach out to us the next day with all of the contact info we possibly could need....because she's an awesome business person and a great restaurenteur! Every restaurant comes up short on the quality of an entree from time to time, water glasses might not get refilled as rapidly as a Yelp reviewer might want......it happens.
