“I’ve been going to Ottimo’s for several years now. Loved the restaurant but The quality and overall experience has been changing. The quality of the food isn’t there so much, the portions have gotten a bit smaller and there are always new servers, that need more training. Not sure if there’s new owners or mgmt but definitely a change. A couple years ago I would’ve given Ottimos a 5/5 but now it’s about half of that as a rating. Last night went for dinner with the family- the bread that was brought to the table was more like croutons because it was over cooked and somewhat hard, it should have never been served. We asked for more bread and the server came back to the table and said not much longer it’s coming out of the oven now. 10mins later he came to the table and asked if we needed anything I mentioned the bread and he said if yeah let me check. The server asst came to refill water and asked if we needed more bread m, I said yes please. Well after all that the bread never came. The O/O on the table tasted stale, or maybe a cheaper brand than normally served. One ordered the walleye special in lemon butter sauce, the sauce was a dark color tasted a bit burnt, very expensive for the size of the piece that was served and served with nothing else. Usually served with risotto- can suggest a side of pasta or even a side salad. Was not worth it. We ordered bruschetta- was bland, and again whom ever was cooking the bread toasted this bread to a crostini. Was very excited when Ottimos opened, loved that it was very close to traditional Italian food, and local (without having to drive to the City to Little Italy)! But sadly I do not feel the same so much lately. Bring back the way you use to be when first opened! Would love to visit that again!”

Wifey loved her choices, too very fresh! Great initerior and bar, we'll be back for an evening with friends.”
“This was my Second time visiting this restaurant, and I brought my guy in to try their food. Ms. Darcy waited on us, and she was warm, and inviting as we walked in. We didn’t even have to get up when our food was ready, Ms. Darcy brought it to us!! He had a catfish dinner, and he thoroughly enjoyed it! I had the chicken wing dinner and it was a hit as well!! We tried the jerk egg rolls as well once we got home and they were good…not spicy enough for my taste though. The atmosphere here was a bit “smoky” I’m sure from the grills but the smoke consumed the dining room atmosphere. Overall, we were pleased with the food and may come back to pick up take out!”
“Last night was our first time at this Texas de Brazil it was wonderful our server was amazing and the staff made you feel so taken care of the food was incredible the special after dinner shots were delicious overall it was a fantastic experience celebrating my husband’s birthday with our dear friends”
“l have been a longtime customer and finally gave up on them! the customer service is horrendous. l sat on hold for 15 minutes trying to order a pizza. third is at 545 on Monday night. while l was on hold l called beggars pizza on 143rd just west of wolf placed an order and was told to pick it up in 25 minutes. pizza pete finally came on and the girl who finally answered the phone after a second call on hold for 8 minutes. they used to be so good but now they can't even take orders on the phone.”

“Great service and open late so we can go grab some food after games during the summer. The staff is friendly and Miller's has lots of tv's so it's a decent place to go watch football and hockey during the cold months. Might just become a regular! I give them 5 stars.”

“Did not eat, just hung out with a friend. Our server was friendly and always brought out whatever my friend asked for. The guy jamming out with the guitar was well worth it on a Friday night. He is very good.”
“This place is so nice and comforting, the workers are so sweet and make sure every thing is going good and that you’re satisfied. The atmosphere is impeccable. And one of the baristas was so sweet and catering to us, she was wearing a head scarf didn’t get her name. We will be going back just because of her and the servers! Amazing staff.”

“Everything is made fresh. Nothing frozen and you can tell with how good the food is. Highly recommended for anyone looking for some great and fresh food made by a professional chef. Gyro and chicken sandwich are my favorites”

“I was out in Orland with my family and noticed this restaurant, so we decided to give it a try. We were seated in about 15 minutes on a Saturday afternoon, which was great. I love how spacious it is and all of the tvs they have throughout. Our waitress Jillian was really great. Very friendly and attentive.We ordered a lot of different dishes and they were all excellent. The dip trio is a must-have! My husband and I loved the flights. I had a margarita flight, and he had a beer flight. The pizza was gooooood, and the cinnamon roll Pizookie was the perfect dessert.The family loved it, and the food was a hit, so we will absolutely make this a regular restaurant to dine at.”

“We went here for a birthday celebration, with eight people. There weren't many people in (we went early) and our waiter was wonderful, giving suggestions when asked. They bring warm bread to start, with olive oil and parm on the table. The olive oil isn't seasoned, for those who like that. Bread is delicious. We had appetizers of caprese salad, vesuvio fries and bruschetta. Portions were pretty good. Bruschetta is excellent, great flavor and large tomato and cheese topping. Caprese was also good. The fries were not, coated in some kind of gravy/oil and very salty. Our entrees ranged from the vodka rigatoni (both GF and regular), seafood paella, gnocchi (outstanding), salad and clams. Everything was great, although the Caesar salad comes dressed with a LOT of dressing. They bring out a dessert tray for you to choose and have several choices. Almost everyone got the limoncello dessert and loved it. This might be the best I've ever had. We also had the death by chocolate and the carrot cake, which were also great.Vegetarian options: There are a lot of vegetarian choices and they are good about taking meat out of a dish when possible.Dietary restrictions: They offer to switch pasta dishes for gluten free pasta for a $3 upcharge. The GF rigatoni vodka was really good. The GF options are clearly noted on the menu.Kid-friendliness: There is a kids menu and they are always friendly with the kids (ages 7 and 9).”

“They have the best pizza around. I grew up eating Fox's in Beverly, Oak Lawn and Orland. The pricing has gotten a bit high for the Fox's special pizza. I understand inflation but the pricing has limited my ordering down to maybe a couple times a year now. The large pizza was also removed from the menu and you must purchase either a medium or XL.”

“I made a reservation for my husband and I for Valentines day. He truly was surprised and loved the experience. The restaurant had a host stand and was decorated throughout. There were table cloths, table runners, flowers, balloons and a photo op wall too. We had menus and a waitress. She took our orders and brought our food to the table . Each female got a wrapped long stem rose after dinner. It turned out to be a great experience!!”

“Nothing Bundt Cake Orland Park was wonderful for my wedding two weeks ago and Joanne helped every step of the way! :) Not only did she ease my mind and made the process seamless, but she facilitated the set up at our venue which eased a lot of stress of myself and family. And for the price, we received more then enough bundtini's for our reception! I would 10/10 recommend for weddings, and even for just grabbing a bundt cake :)”

“I came in tonight and was excited because I’ve been craving a jrito crunch and have been for about 3 years and my buddy Carl told all his fb friends that owner is a previous franchisee of jrs and they have the chil ito which is this same xact indgredients (yes same chili and cheese and same chips as jrito everything was phenomenal came from Thornton which is about a half hour plus drive. So so worth the drive I refused to touch anything til I got home so I could enjoy that first bite. “My girlfriend and I visited last week. Immediately, we were both very enlivened by the warm and personable interactions we received. Our food came quickly and our usual extra requests were met with care. When we were finishing our food which we both enjoyed, the owner who had just come out from working the kitchen to relax and asked us how everything was before sitting down. I made a point to approach and say how good the coleslaw was. The owner responded very appreciatively and explained that they try to make it with good intention. Overall, we felt like we were contributing to the livelihood of good people that took a long time to build. We were both heartened by our experience at Kismet and if you’re thinking of eating here, we highly recommend it.”

It offers great Middle East fast foods with chicken, beef, lamb shawarma (gyros), hummus, freshly baked flat bread for great food wraps. “When we came it was a bit busy. Once it slowed down a person who appeared to be the manager came to each empty table with a package of disinfectant wipes and cleaned each empty table and chairs. Even if they looked clean he wiped them anyway.”

However, when I arrived two of the three employees were leaning aganst the counter chit chatting with each other. My order was not only not ready but not even started. He said, oh, this just came in. Sorry, we wiil make it now. But I saw the order and they had just ignored it for whatever reason. I have gone here several times so I am not upset yet. But it better never happen again. There were a minimum of three people working at the time. And a woman came in after me and they made her wait until they had my order made.Again, good food. I will keep coming back if there are no further issues.”

“Raising Cane's Chicken Tenders are the best that I have ever had. Made 100% with real Chicken and very good breading. Once a month I purchase a 50 piece Tray for the family and it's always a great treat. We never had a problem and always satisfied.”

Compared to Wendy's and McDonalds in Palos Heights, dining area was more comfortable and the soda machine was easier to access. Had not had a Whopper in 5 years and taste was fine. French fries, while unhealthy anywhere, were good. I will return here in July.”
“I like this place for a quick lunch. I usually get the pick 2 combo and choose half sandwich and half soup combo. You get in line and it can be long and slow sometimes and you tell the person what kind of sandwich you want, choose your sandwich toppings, and if you want it toasted. The soup selection varies but my favorites are broccoli cheddar and vegetable soup. I usually get the half turkey and Swiss sandwich, and they have good pre packed cookies to choose from by the cash register if you want something sweet. Drinks are self serve. I've gotten a grilled chicken Mediterranean salad before and it's good too. This is one of my fave sandwich shops bc it offers soups and salads too. The only thing is the service could be a tad faster.”

“I love this place, come here for a lot of family birthdays. The owners are great people and the foods never a disappointment. They 100% welcome kids but just might be better earlier in the day with them.”

The server was nice and attentive. The manager even came up to talk to us and make sure we were happy with our service and food. “Food was great, had an egg and cheese crossaint, some spinach, avocado, mushroom, and cheese crepes, the house veggie burger, and crispy eggplant with polenta and goat cheese. The crepe came with only the cheese on the inside and other ingredients on top, and was more of a crispy rather than soft or spongy texture, so somewhat different than I had pictured but they were good. I'd order all of it again! Service was good and attentive. Food was a little slow to come out at times given that the place was pretty empty, but I wasn't in a hurry and was taking my own time, so I didn't mind that. Will definitely return!”
“I ordered the Baked macaroni and cheese on a Friday. The color was extremely orange unlike most macaroni and cheese. It was served on a very hot plate but the food was barely even warm. It feels like they heated the plate, not the actual food as advertised on their menu. The taste was mediocre at best. It could have possibly tasted better if it was actually baked. The cheese did not taste like real cheese but more like from a can. This is not a dish I would recommend unless they actually serve it as advertised on their menu. I also tasted the grilled cheese, French fries and cole slaw which was really good. The best part of my Southfork experience was the awesome waitress Debbie Rose Dinardo. This waitress went above and beyond with a smile and just great service from her. Southpark, Debbie Rose Dinardo is a gem. Keep her busy!!Thank you Debbie!”

The women who run the place have known my son since he was 4 years old, and still remembers him every time we come in. The food is always great . “We went here for a birthday celebration, with eight people. There weren't many people in (we went early) and our waiter was wonderful, giving suggestions when asked. They bring warm bread to start, with olive oil and parm on the table. The olive oil isn't seasoned, for those who like that. Bread is delicious. We had appetizers of caprese salad, vesuvio fries and bruschetta. Portions were pretty good. Bruschetta is excellent, great flavor and large tomato and cheese topping. Caprese was also good. The fries were not, coated in some kind of gravy/oil and very salty. Our entrees ranged from the vodka rigatoni (both GF and regular), seafood paella, gnocchi (outstanding), salad and clams. Everything was great, although the Caesar salad comes dressed with a LOT of dressing. They bring out a dessert tray for you to choose and have several choices. Almost everyone got the limoncello dessert and loved it. This might be the best I've ever had. We also had the death by chocolate and the carrot cake, which were also great.Vegetarian options: There are a lot of vegetarian choices and they are good about taking meat out of a dish when possible.Dietary restrictions: They offer to switch pasta dishes for gluten free pasta for a $3 upcharge. The GF rigatoni vodka was really good. The GF options are clearly noted on the menu.Kid-friendliness: There is a kids menu and they are always friendly with the kids (ages 7 and 9).”

You have to call for reservations and sometimes the restaurant doesn't answer, but it is worth having patience. Just be persistent and call a few times. As for the pizza, it combines all of the best elements of New York, New Haven, Detroit, and Chicago styles, I have never had anything like it. They also have the best giardiniera on this side of Cicero.Ask for Battletoads when you make the reservation, and they may just show you the speakeasy behind the kitchen. “This was my Second time visiting this restaurant, and I brought my guy in to try their food. Ms. Darcy waited on us, and she was warm, and inviting as we walked in. We didn’t even have to get up when our food was ready, Ms. Darcy brought it to us!! He had a catfish dinner, and he thoroughly enjoyed it! I had the chicken wing dinner and it was a hit as well!! We tried the jerk egg rolls as well once we got home and they were good…not spicy enough for my taste though. The atmosphere here was a bit “smoky” I’m sure from the grills but the smoke consumed the dining room atmosphere. Overall, we were pleased with the food and may come back to pick up take out!”
