“Came here at 4:30 and it was already getting busy. Was seated right away. Cute sports bar/restaurant. Like most sports bars it can get loud. We were greeted right away by the friendly wait staff. I ordered an impossible burger. It had white cheddar, shaved lettuce, wild mushrooms, pickles, and Sriracha aïoli. I don't often see it served at restaurants so I'll usually order it when I see it. You had a choice to get fries or sweet potato waffle fries. I chose the sweet potato waffle fries. A little extra charge to get those. Also had some beignets. Super good comes with 2 dipping sauces. Chocolate and vanilla. Yum. I'll probably be back to try other things on the menu that I was eyeing.“

“I was visiting KC for work and wanted to find a place to watch the KU vs KState game but also be able to throw some darts. This spot had good online reviews so I stopped in. It was packed with a lot of folks ready for the game and some others shooting pool. As you walk up there is a patio out front with other folks sitting outside having a smoke or just relaxing. I'm not a regular there but had no issues getting service and felt welcomed in by others around me. “This "hole in the wall" bar was unlike the other "hole in the wall" bars you will typically go to. The staff was incredibly nice, the food was actually great and of course the prices were lower then your typical bar and grill. This might not be the place to go to for watching football, they are more of a karaoke bar but even the local usuals were friendly and it all made the experience nice. I would go back to try more food and have a cheap drink or two.“

“I think the selling point is the giant patio, which I imagine is placed just right for those hot sunny days when you want a cold drink outside. While there on a cold night, you still get a nice comfortable interior that’s welcoming and friendly. The foods good and plentiful, the sound levels aren’t overly loud so you can still talk to yourself and be heard. Haha.. the secret tip here is they have a shuffleboard! Good place to go eat!“
“Just AMAZING!We were celebrating 2 birthdays and chose Governor Stumpy’s. Staff is amazing, very personable and on their game! Chris came and spoke to us specifically about our steak and hamburger orders. Incredibly knowledgeable about how beef should be cooked to have the most flavor. She also has a wonderful sense of humor. If you are still reading this long review, you need to know what happened at the end of our meal to understand how truly amazing everyone is at Governor Stumpy’s. I had a medical emergency and was unable to walk. I was guided to a table and I lost consciousness. I’m not sure how long I sat there, but a doctor who was eating at the restaurant was immediately called over. I believe Chris stayed with me the whole time too. After 20-30 minutes and I felt I could move, Chris had her staff surround me and line up all the way to the back door (I’m pretty sure this is how it happened, but things were a bit fuzzy) to help me to our car to go to the ER. I did not want to have an ambulance come and they respected that. I am not a religious person, but I felt like Chris and her staff were angels surrounding me to help me through this scary situation. I am fine now and can’t wait to go back to Governor Stumpy’s. Thank you a million times over to everyone!“

“At 4 p.m. I made a reservation online for 14, which actually turned out to be 17, for 6:45 p.m. Saturday evening. Eunice and Nicki were our waiters and they were fabulous! The food was served hot and wonderful. Everyone ordered something different and everyone was happy with their meal. They had live music that began at 7:30 p.m., so it was a little more difficult to visit by the end of our meal but the music sounded great!“
“Fun Bar & Grill. We came for the 1/2 price appetizer, happy hour special, and we were not disappointed. Ordered the fried mushrooms and fried pickle spears. Both were cooked perfectly, hot out of the fryer, and delicious. The sauces are also really good, truffle aoli and buttermilk ranch. The best part, though, was the very large mushrooms. The place was packed, but we were seated within 5 minutes of the reservation. That said, the atmosphere is really cool, and the 3 level bar with exposed brick is pretty sweet. It's borderline trashy bar and nice place to eat, which is an interesting edge to be honest. The food was hit and miss - the tacos weren't all that great, and the breading of the fried pickles was pretty hard, but the philly egg rolls are one of the best appetizers in the business. Absolutely must try, and I'll be back for more. The service was a little slow, but very friendly. Price was very reasonable. I'd definitely recommend it for a cool hang out spot and some decent food.“
