“Food was so delicious, as was my beverage. Service was fantastic. We were so hungry that we neglected to take photos. Would highly recommend this place. A bit pricey, but also not terrible. One negative was it was cold and I was freezing.“
“Not sure what the theme for this restaurant was, but I had the impossible burger, and I was deeply impressed. I have been a beef eater, all my life. This burger was amazing. Would recommend trying it if you were curious. The staff was amazing, I can't remember the waitress name now, it was one of those 'like this city name but without the last letter's people. She did amazing.“
“Amazing place! The wings were an absolute hit! Definitely a fun spin on tradition wings. We had the honey chipotle flavor and it was so good! We couldn’t get enough! Our burgers were awesome! They’re big, juicy, flavorful! Everything you want in a burger! Service was great! Cece was so pleasant and kind! Absolute sweet heart. Definitely should add this place to your list!“
“THE BIG CHEESE!- Not the smash burger version. This was one of the best burgers I’ve had in KC recently. They have absolutely nailed the ratios. Specific descriptions: Ratios on this burger were excellent- the burger to bun size; width, height, and thickness, was perfect for a balanced bite. The type of bun they are using is soft, has a bit of texture on the outside, but also has enough spring to it that it does not get mushy or fall apart midway through the burger, or at all really. In fact, the structural integrity of the burger was better than any I’ve had lately- judging from first bite to last. The burger patty itself had a great sear on the outside, they really nailed the texture on this too. It’s got the sear slight crunch on the outside and then juicy on the inside. It was not at all greasy. The meat had great flavor and was not over salted- it was not bland either- they got the seasoning ratio right as well. I was skeptical about the arugula being too bitter for this burger. I was also skeptical about two slices of cheese being too much. I was wrong on both. The arugula is tossed with something that gives it just the tiniest bit of acid, this brightens it just enough to balance the richness of it. The American cheese they use is sliced thin, so using two slices is again just the right amount of cheese. The sauce they use on it complement the entire arrangement. Usually I will add sauce on anything. But not this burger. My dining partner mentioned they forgot to ask to leave the tomato off. Glad we didn’t. It was perfect in the bite mix. From the first bite to the last this was just an incredible burger eating experience. Their kitchen has absolutely got making a killer burger dialed in! The staff were very attentive and friendly. Speaking of adding sauces to things. The Brussels were good, but surprisingly I felt like the sauce on them was too much and made the Brussels soggy. The sauce is delicious, but a little of it goes a long way. Next time I will see if they are willing to put the sauce on the side and dip them instead. I also like that they have the small beer pours so I can try some of the local/ seasonal beers too. We will be back. Thank you!!!“
“I would highly recommend this place to anyone in the area. The kitchen was super clean. Thus place is well oiled machine. I had the pleasure of meeting the manager Matt. Very nice gentleman super kind, and respectful. So if your in the area go check them out.“
“This is the Nashville Hot Chicken and Waffle. It’s perfectly seasoned for KC flavor: a little bit of heat and a little bit of sweet. The breading is light, yet still crunchy. Along with a white mayo-based bbq sauce, it’s served over a cornbread waffle with maple syrup and a bed of greens. Perfectly balanced. I recommend it alongside a limeade for a perfect bright kick. My friends likewise recommend their sandwiches. We’ll definitely be back when we return to the KC City Market.“
“In all my travels, I haven’t had better food, drink, or service for the price! I stayed at the hotel across the street, and came here every day. I wish I lived here so I could come daily. Sarah, Christina, and Alice all did an amazing job at the bar. Amanda was a stellar server, and Sai is a master on the grill. Martin was observant and helpful as a manager. If I ever come back to this part of KC, I will happily come back and say hello.“
“It is a very good restraunt their service is impeccable Chick-fil-A has nothing on them they are the best I also suggest getting custard or butterburgers they are so very good!?Kid-friendliness: It Is very kid friendly they even have jokes on the kids meal bags the hospitality is over the roof which is why I think all the staff is better than the whole company of Chick-fil-A.“
“Not only was the cheeseburger I was served a perfect example of a smashburger, but the charming interior decor makes you feel like you've taken a ride in a time machine back to the 1950s. There's a very nice family-friendly vibe going on. Highly recommend.“
“Food was very good portions could be a little bigger. while we were their our server got a large party so we got lost in the shuffle but other than that I would definitely recommend & go back. Red velvet icing was a little lemony so don't like it very much.“
“The prices are a little much for a single cheeseburger, fries, and a shake, but the quality is very good and 24 hours is an amazing luxury. Lots of homeless around at night so be careful, but I enjoyed my meal.Parking: Parking lot with 10 spots next to the location, but other than that it’s all street parking.“
“Heads up this is on the industrial side and it could startle people but I love the location it's safe enough just don't leave your car running or unlocked and you'll be fine. Anyways THESE SANDWICHES ARE AMAZING FOR $9 AND THE FRIES ARE FANTASTIC! you're wasting your life if you don't eat this once a “
“I've been here a few times and it's always enjoyable. They had a pretty impressive live musician playing. The wait staff despite being very busy were still very friendly and attentive. The menu is fairly small but the quality is excellent for every dish I've tried. The cocktails are unique and delicious. If you're looking for a fun dining experience, I recommend dropping by Murphy's Corner.“
“Fun Bar & Grill. We came for the 1/2 price appetizer, happy hour special, and we were not disappointed. Ordered the fried mushrooms and fried pickle spears. Both were cooked perfectly, hot out of the fryer, and delicious. The sauces are also really good, truffle aoli and buttermilk ranch. The best part, though, was the very large mushrooms. We will go back for them again and again. Service was stellar!“
“Visited Smitty's for a Sunday lunch: we ordered the Thunder Fries and the Sweet Oklahoma burger ($8.79). The service was very quick and the food especially tasty. The burgers are à la cart, so you have to buy fries extra but they are very shareable. Our bartender was very friendly and responsive. Compared with other locally-owned burger restaurants, today's experience was exceptional in the areas of creativity, taste, and service.“
“I have been to a few Dinner with Divas and recently went to my first charity bingo, either way, it's so fun! A diverse audience, great wait staff and wonderful performances! The food is so good and there are vegetarian options. If you go, it's best to make reservations and don't forget to bring plenty of $1 bills.Vegetarian options: They have a beyond meat patty and you can have dressed anyway on the menu, last time I got a spicy burger with the best sweet potato fries I have ever eaten.Parking: You can park across the street.Kid-friendliness: I wouldn't bring really young kids but we brought my 14 year old niece and she had a lot of fun and loved the food.Wheelchair accessibility: The whole place is wheelchair accessible, I think. There are 2 levels to sit on, but with great views of the stage“
“Placed a large to go order for pizza for a birthday party. When I went to pick it up, the order had been lost. Angel was very apologetic and super helpful. The order was made and I was ready to go in a very short time. She offered me accommodations to make up for the error, which was unnecessary but thoughtful. The pizza was amazing, and I appreciated her and the attentiveness of the staff as well!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free and veganParking: Plent of parking“
“I think the selling point is the giant patio, which I imagine is placed just right for those hot sunny days when you want a cold drink outside. While there on a cold night, you still get a nice comfortable interior that’s welcoming and friendly. The foods good and plentiful, the sound levels aren’t overly loud so you can still talk to yourself and be heard. Haha.. the secret tip here is they have a shuffleboard! Good place to go eat!“
“This place can be very loud especially if you go when the kids are out of school. The trains that deliver the food are noisy but this is a fun and interesting place to eat. Play hooky and check this place out.Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly food and environment“
“I really enjoyed the steak dinner special they have! Well cooked, well served! The atmosphere is ideal if you're looking for that sports crowd energy. I mean pop a shot in the bar, go get it!Parking: It's downtown, be ready to walk a little.“
“After reading the reviews online about how good the onion rings were, I decided to give them a try. I had the Bleu Burger, onion rings with a shake. I can honestly say that's the best burger combo I've had since living in kc since 2003. This is my new spot.“
“Really enjoyed hanging out here watching the KU game as well as listening to the Irish band play. That was a really cool experience to hear the Irish band! Food and service were both good. The corned beef hash was good but needed a bit more flavoring. An over easy egg would help but mine was over cooked. The shepherds pie was also good but still needed a bit more flavoring. Will be back to try more items!“
“There are some places you wish you can give no stars too, and some you wish you can just give more , this is definitely a place I would give more stars, From start to finish service was great the food was exceptional very tasty none dry burger fresh veggies and the bun was excellent the Fries were crispy and made to order just very great loved it all Thank you guys here’s a picture it looks and taste Really good!“
“First, we love all the Strip's locations! We have been to this location twice now and not disappointed yet. We eat gluten free due to Celiac Disease and are thankful we have options to indulge in occasionally when I don't have to cook.Dietary restrictions: Love that they offer many gluten free options! Never have to worry about cross contamination or getting sick when eating here.“
“We arrived as a group of 9 and all left satisfied. The burgers matched what we had seen on their online menu. Our orders included the Classic Burger, Pork Brisket Sandwich, and Pulled Pork Pigwich. While they appeared small, they were packed. The beef and pork were seasoned well. The patties were not oily like most places and yet still good. The fries were addictively tasty. Despite being full, everyone was eager to help finish the fries that we overordered.“
“2 things that slightly annoyed me about this place is that they only accept online orders, even though you can talk to them right through the window (I understand it from an efficiency perspective but the customer convenience is meh). They can't make your burger as a non-smash burger (no they don't burn it to a crisp or over charr it, but we were looking for a thicker style burger). Overall the taste was good, atmosphere was fun, but price/value was a little more expensive than whataburger. Things to do in this place include : 2 video game consoles, 1 shuffleboard table (non-regulation size), bar with drinks, and cushy furniture to relax on.But this review is solely reflective of my opinion of the food & service quality, quantity, and value.“
“Good food, exceptional service and convenient location. I ordered the taco salad to go and it was so nice to have a tortilla bowl that was not soggy from all the grease. Great job!!Kid-friendliness: Have taken our kids there several times and they love it.“
“This is the place my out-of-town family always wants to go to in KC before anything downtown. They like being able to sample all the different tap beers & ciders, the many tvs showing sports, and the menu choices. The wait staff is always friendly & helpful. Conveniently located on the KC Streetcar line too!“
“Absolutely amazing food, very nice staff, and clean establishment. We had the macaroni and cheese jalapeño bites, fried mushrooms, and half a dozen oysters for our appetizers. Everything came out quickly and was so good. Between my group we had the fried pickle sandwich, guacamole burger, and chicken wrap along with sides of fries and onion rings. Everything was delicious and the portions were perfect. Our server, Marin, helped us when we had questions about the menu and was very attentive and kind, she really made the experience great. This is definitely a new favorite and I’d recommend this restaurant to anyone in a heartbeat.“
“First time I was there since it changed hands. No more bottled wine. They charged me $6 for house merlot. Small plastic bottles - the kind you can buy a 4-pack in a liquor store for the same price. No bottled wine. Big downer. Food/service were very good.“
“Every single time I go here, the experience is fantastic. They have great staff, no matter who is working. The food is wonderful. I especially recommend the cheddar burger! The prices are phenomenal compared to other waldo bars. The drinks are also also quite good.“
“I went in expecting a standard neighborhood bar but was surprised with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The drinks and service was fantastic. Melissa was the best womanager and ran the restaraunt with nothing but class. Madeline was an absolute treat, she was so kind and polite, it felt like I've known her for years.“
“Stopped by Town Topic today after going to the Auto Show. I wanted a good old fashioned dinner burger. The place was packed, service was fast and friendly, food was fantastic. The onion rings and cheese burger were prefect. The pie was to die for. Well done you guys!Parking: Small parking lot, hard to find a parking spot. But, the food is worth it.“
“this is the 2nd time we have been here each time we have been here the burgers are the best we have ever eaten, they were seasoned perfectly, you can here the burgers sizzling on the flames as they cook them, they are hands down the best burgers and sides we have ever “
“Seriously the best carne asada & pastor tacos I have had! We tried this place for the first time last weekend - we live right down the street. We have ate here THREE more times because I can’t get their tacos off of my mind. Can’t wait to try their Tortas next! ?“
“Burgers are always great, the beef patty is delicious and flavorful. I’m glad there is now one in Lenexa, closer to home. Service is always great and their pretzel sticks are amazing. I also tried chicken caprese, believe with pesto or avocado and it was amazing as well! We enjoy coming here.“
“Lew's staff is awesome! Sheady always has her head on a swivel, no such thing as an empty glass. Katie is another example of attention to detail... The list goes on. I have never had a bad experience with my time spent at Lew's. Fish and Chris have done an exceptional job hiring quality!“
“The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the prices were reasonable. It was an exceptional meal!Parking: Easy parking is available.Kid-friendliness: The children enjoyed their delightful meals, and they were particularly delighted when they received their large milkshake for sharing amongst each other. The best part was when they sang their famous milkshake song! The children had a great time as well as the adults. ??????Wheelchair accessibility: I am quite certain that they had accessibility features for wheelchairs.“
“This store has the best staff in Overland Park. The store is always spotless. They have always gone out of their way to make sure I have a good experience.Five guys has the best friesDietary restrictions: They have peanuts all over for you to eat“
“I've gone to this restaurant many times over the years & they never disappoint; the food is always very well seasoned, the quality control of temperature of the food is stellar & you can't beat the price for the quality and variety of the food available. I've always received good service here & will continue to be a Sunday brunch fan.Vegetarian options: Most of the options are garden salads, pasta salads and grilled vegetablesParking: You can park in the parking garage next to the building and the restaurant will validate your parking ticket so it's free.“
“After hearing great things about their fish dinner we decided to try. I had the Alaskan Cod. It was very moist and tasty. The breading was good but they left it in then fryer a tad too long. Fries were crunchy and good. Coleslaw was delicious. My wife had the shrimp dinner with onion rings. She loved it. Then onion rings were really thin but pretty good. Service was great. Definitely will be back.“
“This was the cleanest fast food restaurant I’ve ever been to. Just cleaning and wiping down everything non-stop. Very polite employees as well. The only issue was my kids got a free ice cream (which we didn't realize since we don’t have Culver’s where we live) and they wouldn’t give us the ice cream for free since we didn’t have the coupons from the bag, which we didn’t realize we had accidentally thrown away. Didn’t think it would be a big deal since we had literally just checked out 10 minutes prior, but they stood their ground. Still 5 stars though, just maybe consider making a simple exception. Thank you!“
“We have frequented this establishment for some time now, and on each occasion, our expectations have been consistently exceeded. The standard of customer service provided is exemplary, and the culinary offerings surpass even our loftiest anticipations. Our preferred selection, the Atlantic cod dinner, never fails to impress; its flavors are truly sublime.During our most recent visit, we placed a sizable order, necessitating separate payments. Despite the added complexity, the staff exhibited remarkable patience and accommodated our request without hesitation. Their understanding and flexibility were greatly appreciated.Above all else, the overall experience we enjoyed was nothing short of exceptional. We depart with the utmost satisfaction, eagerly anticipating our next visit. We commend the establishment on their continued dedication to excellence and look forward to returning in the near future.“
“Absolutely the best fried shrimp, fish and wings in town! Love getting one of the large combinations for game day tailgating at Arrowhead! Also they have great breakfast food. Wonderful owners make everything themselves and provide excellent service! Support one of our local black owned businesses and treat yourself to some amazing homemade style soul food!!“
“Stopped in for lunch. Instead of ordering my regular gendered, I ordered a hickory burger. My mistake. The hubby ordered a gendare double, next time I will stick to mu usual. There was very little hickory about my burger, just an average burger. The size of an order of onion rings has shrunk. We have always split an order, I think we haf 4 rings and a tiny little ring. They were ubergreasy and just not that great.“
“My wife works nearby. We came in 20 minutes before close. Everyone was very nice and helpful. Being our first time here, they took their time to help us get what we liked . Can't say enough how nice they were, considering it was almost close. It was great to see people who understand that we were just getting out of work as well and that we were just grabbing it to go.“
“The food wasn't fantastic, but it was good enough. The reason to go is obviously for the good delivery system. Our kids absolutely loved the train system, and the food being dropped off by the train.Kid-friendliness: It's definitely kid friendly, with children under 12 being offered an engineer hat to take home.“
“The restaurant's shrimp dish is a winner – succulent, well-seasoned, and perfectly cooked. The flavors are a delightful balance, with a hint of freshness from the accompanying herbs. It's a seafood delight that leaves a lasting impression.Parking: Good“
“Best Hamburger hands down! Better than town topic, Freddie's, Culver's, red Robin, even better than 5 guys. Amazing flavor and the garlic aioli was the bomb. So good, I want another. Thank God for someone who can exactly make an amazing burger, and not over price like town topic. I got bacon double burger with fries and soda. Was only 12. Town topic would be about 18 or 20 for the same thing and not as good.“
“Needed a tasty burger, they delivered! STEAKHOUSE wagyu burger, white cheddar, garlic & thyme mushrooms, arugula, garlic & herb aioli, BRGR potato bun. Tots are so crispy you hear the crunch deep in your ears on practically every bite! The dipping sauce that comes with it is very tasty as well Burgers are now (seemingly) more smashed than years ago, still very tasty. Now that the weather (march 2024) is getting better, there is limited patio seating. Service - at the bar was good Ambiance - pure burger bar and I recall it can get very loud when a large crowd Fri/Sat nights. There's also Fish and Chips and a hot dog/chili dog on the menu, and chicken if you aren't craving tasty maybe wagyu burgers.“
