“I've been going to Gene's since I was about 11, so 1981!!!! Of course, back then, it was for candy and soda, lol!! As I got older, I realized what a hidden gem it truly is! They have great subs and pretty much anything Italian. Not just the deli but stocked on the shelves as well. I don't make sauce because theirs is so good. Makes my life easier to boot! Thank you Gene's. Everyone who works there is very nice and wicked happy to help. Every time I go in, it brings back memories of walking to the pool and stopping at Gene's on our way there. The fish tacos were underwhelming, lacked flavor as did the chicken Marcello which was very bland. The fish and chips were a big surprise, large portion of fish, rather than the typical large portion of fries! My seafood with angle hair pasta was good, but a bit too much oil, and scollops were slightly over cooked, but I would order it again.“

Veal was so tender , no knife required with well seasoned breading . The fillet was also tender, and well seasoned, she gave me 1 little bite? . If Tuscan onion soup is available when you visit here , GET IT !!! . Fantastic Italian take on French onion soup that was 10 time better. I rarely write reviews but this was a great meal . “It's a nice restaurant for a special dinner. This is our third visit for dinner in the past 6 months. The service is always wonderful. The martinis are amazing.The only issue I have experienced is that I feel the dinners and appetizers are a bit skimpy. Recently I ordered the Bourbon Glazed Salmon and while it was delicious, there were just two stalks of asparagus and a less than average size salmon filet.Again, the meals are delicious, but you will rarely take home any leftovers.If they didn't offer valet parking service, I would most likely not visit. Parking is difficult. The valet is necessary.“

In Arizona it is rare to find even mediocre pizza let alone this deliciously intoxicating pie that melts in your mouth and tastes like a little bit of heaven. It is not oily or to salty. The crust is the perfect thickness and both crisp and chewy. I come out to visit my BFF several times a year and I never miss an opportunity (actually at least 3 opportunities) to have pizza at Marinho's. I'd rate the food 8.5/10 it's not the best thing I've ever had but it's still really good and they get the food ready very quickly.“

My fiancé ordered the Tagliatelle con Salsiccia e Pollo. It's one of my favorite dishes, I only wish it came with more of that pasta! This time I tried the Pollo Mediterranean. The chicken and eggplant was great with the ricotta. I wish the pasta was tossed in the sauce as it was a little bland on its own but better once mixed in. Their dishes looked amazing and interesting presentations. My wife's very much enjoyed her eggplant rollatini and my Italian combo plate was very much as expected. Our friends had salmon primavera, and haddock & shrimp Francese. Although we enjoyed our meals, we envied our friends. All our meals included a salad and pasta. The service was very good. Plenty of easy parking. Right off the highway. Prices were attractive. I give this restaurant a solid four stars. In the lounge, there is a fireplace with evidence of a recent real wood fire.
