“Absolutely loved my experience at this Pakistani restaurant! The food was simply amazing - bursting with authentic flavors and cooked to perfection. The service was top-notch, and the ambiance added to the overall enjoyment of the meal. Definitely coming back for more!"“
“I recently dined at Mirchi’s, a top South Indian restaurant in Boston, and it was truly delightful. The food is delicious and tastes as good as any restaurant from India. If you're new to Indian cuisine, don't miss out on trying their chicken pepper fry, biryani and mutton haleem (only place serving in Boston). The refreshing chikoo shake and sweet paan rounded off the meal perfectly.Overall, my experience at Mirchi’s was exceptional, with delicious food, impeccable service, and a welcoming ambiance. I'll definitely be returning and highly recommend it to anyone seeking authentic Indian cuisine in the Brookline area.“
“We came here on a friend’s recommendation, and I’m so glad we did!! We had chicken Dhaniwal korma, lamb tikka masala, naan, and aloo naan, and mango lassis, and everything was just wonderful. Generous portions of delicious curry and fresh hot bread! The restaurant is cozy and clean, and the food came quickly. Great service, great food, we’ll definitely be coming back here!“
“This is a little hidden gem in union square. The food is absolutely delicious, and the service was incredible. HIGHLY recommend the chicken madras. The owner was really friendly too, and checked in to see how we were doing! Looking forward to coming back sometime.“
“Good south Indian cuisine. Dosas ($10) are made in front of you and come with three sauces. Any additions, even onions, are charged at $1 for each vegetarian filling. Lots of vegetarian and some vegan options.Menu is all text. It would be nice if there were some photos to show those who are ignorant of this cuisine what chaat, gunpowder, pao, etc. are.Music was too loud. They don't offer tap water -- you have to buy bottled water, which is very annoying.“
“Having visited Madras Dosa Company in Cambridge multiple times, I felt compelled to share my experience. Undoubtedly, their dosa stands out as one of the best available in Boston. The coconut chutney is impeccably prepared, meeting my high standards. From vada to chaats and pav bhaji, every item I tried was exceptionally delicious. Despite their use of a machine, the coffee closely resembles a typical Madras filter coffee. The only downside is the limited seating due to the small size of the establishment, often resulting in a wait for a table. However, the presence of a nearby parking garage adds convenience. It would enhance the experience further if management could offer free parking with validation. In summary, Madras Dosa Company is a superb option for authentic South Indian cuisine, primarily focusing on dosa, idly, and chaats. Highly recommended for those yearning for genuine southern flavors.“
“This a my favorite restaurant in town, I always go there with my family, takeout or any guest of mine go out having lunch or dinner,Excellent customer service, good food, taking care like own family member. One of Best dishes my wife and I liked CTM, PTM and Paneer Saag, Naan, mainly. We loved all dishes!!! Please try.“
“By a mile, the best Indian food I’ve had since moving to the US from the UK. So happy to have found somewhere that serves such good quality food. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Atmosphere very quiet due to going midweek I would imagine.“
“Wonderful tastes, gracious hosts, and beautiful live Indian music when we were there. The menu includes many Nepalese dishes which are a particular treat. The room is unremarkable. The customers are relatively diverse and, on the weekend evenings, there are often large multi-generational families dining together.“
“I tried Surya Indian Kitchen and found the food to be flavorful. If you're looking for a good butter chicken or chicken tikka masala they are a good spot to check out. They do not have any seating, so be prepared to take out.Overall, not the best Indian food I've had in the Boston area, but they do offer a fully halal menu and a fairly broad variety of options. I was a bit disappointed by the naan. It may be store bought? I'm not sure, but it didn't taste very fresh and didn't have that fluffiness most fresh naan will have. Either way, a solid place to try!“
“My family has been eating Nirvana once per month, on average, for the last 9 years. The food is perfect- the dishes have amazing flavour profile, chutneys are delicious. We have always had a great experience. I am so thankful for the chefs at Nirvana!“
“I was walking around the neighborhood hoping to find a place where I could find something delicious and healthy, so I came in to try their Supreme Samosa dish and mango lassi. It was the perfect meal packed of goodness and all the nutrients I needed to feel good! Recommend!“
“I had dropped my daughter off for an event and was looking to hang somewhere so thought why not try out an Indian place in Brighton. I came alone and boy was I pleased. Amazing and courteous staff, very calm environment and fantastic food. I ordered Kofta Curry and Naan. The serving size was better than any other Indian restaurant in Boston, I have visited. And believe me, I have gone to quite a few. Many places will charge you for a papad, and that never sits well for me. Not here! The papad came with three chutneys. I recommend this place ! We plan to be back with the full family in tow. Great place to come to! This review is from an Indian so you can take it to the bank! ?“
“Very accommodating (even for large groups) - a great local spot. Food is alright, though it's 'American spicy' (hot is barely spicy, even for the vindaloo). Not convinced it's the most authentic east-asian food you'll find in Cambridge. Recommend the Biriyani. Quick service, and decent portions for a good price.“
“Terrific food, almost everything is gluten free (!!) and very clearly marked. Also food is marked for vegan diners. Yay!We had kale pakoras (crunchy and excellent), sag paneer, chicken madras curry. Everything tasted nice and fresh and was delicious, with a nice blend of slices. However in our view everything could have used more spice (not just hot pepper… all the spices) to be more authentic.Really pleasant and accommodating staff. There are just a few tables and the seating area itself is very humble (and not air conditioned ).Enjoyed our meal. We’ll be back for sure. Definitely recommended.Vegetarian options: Vegan options clearly marked on menu.Dietary restrictions: GF and Vegan options clearly marked. Almost everything is GF.“
“my Bengali husband and I had an unbelievable meal delivered from WowTikka. he loves his Indian food, but finding healthier options has been tough. Nothing was sacrificed for healthy in this meal. I had the bowl full of great greens and veggies with the chicken meat balls, he had the wrap also full of veggies and tikka chicken. we both absolutely loved the lighter take, as usually we way overdo an indi meal to the point of needing an immediate nap. can't wait to take our kids and grandkids for a Sunday brunch“
“The goat was definitely the best. Butter chicken was a bit too sweet for my liking, and the oil was a bit too heavy and was pooling up. The lamb was alright tenderness, there were some pieces that were dry. I thought there was a very nice ambience and good decorations in the bathroom too which was a nice touch. Really friendly service too“
“Excellent south Indian food especially the dosas. Love the fact that the menu clearly labels vegan items as well as those that can be made vegan.Vegetarian options: All items are vegetarian including a selection of north and south Indian as well as Indo Chinese food.“
“Maya is a great rest and even better Caterers. This was our first time working with them since we wanted to do a traditional south Indian menu. Absolutely amazing food and amazing service . The process from beginning to the end and the communication with the owner and the manager were absolutely fantastic.we had quite extensive menu and all of it was special south Indian specialty food that was properly suggested by them to make everything go along with what we had in mind. The day of the event they arrived on time and all the set up was done on time .The food was absolutely amazing and very fresh , nicely presented and the taste was just out of the world. It was really awesome experience and all the guest absolutely loved the south Indian food menu which replicated the menu that is served traditionally on a banana leaf in India.Overall a great experience and def would love to work with them again“
“Jo's is one of the best Indian restaurants around. The service was excellent and the food was superb. The restaurant has a very warm, welcoming, serene atmosphere. I love this place! I don't understand why the ratings for this restaurant is not a lot higher, it should be a lot higher. Don't be deceived by the bad ratings and reviews. I recommend giving this place a try, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.“
“A welcome addition to a wonderfully diversifying set of dining options along Beale here in Wollaston, P&D (also known as Tiranga) offers Indian-style "snacks." You won't find rich, hearty entrees like chicken tikka masala or palak paneer here, but you'll instead find tapas-sized bites like pani puri and chaat. I opted for the vada pav, which were two sliders with mashed potato patties, coriander, curry leaves, and Indian herbs. A solid, filling bite thanks to the potato at the core, but with interesting Indian spices and flavors. Similarly, the "Indian pizza" in the form of the Tiranga special was quite a cheesy, savory treat, but with a subtly spicy Indian twist. All comforting stuff - especially during the colder months. Here's to their continued success!“
“Went here for the first time last week, while I was in the vicinity. Very stripped down atmosphere, but there was ample seating.in booths, and the women working there were very friendly, and, charmingly, a bit shy. I was told that I needed to get there earlier in the day in order to have more choices of dishes. That said, read on...I got the boneless chicken stew over yellow rice, cabbage, chickpeas, and an excellent homemade green hot sauce. Food was excellent - flavorful, fresh, not greasy. I ate more than I should have because it was so good.. This will be a go-to for me when I'm in the Sourh End/Roxbury area.“
“A fantastic place to dine! I was surprised to see that they have salmon tikka masala. I liked it a lot! I had a bowl of lentil soup, the salmon dish, and ice cream. All were delicious. Their dining room was spacious and nicely set. Waiters were all polite and professional. Location is also convenient.Dietary restrictions: They offer a good variety of gluten free options.“
“I ordered off of Uber Eats, so I cannot rate service or atmosphere, but this is hands down the best Indian food I've had in Boston. I'm from Seattle, so that has really affected what I anticipate Indian food to taste like. So much of what I've had here has had too much cream (and cream in dishes I wouldn't expect) and not enough spice. The food from Indian Kitchen had a nice kick, complex and well balanced curry flavors, and the creamless dishes I order were, in fact, creamless. The lamb vindaloo and chickpea potato curry were especially good and flavorful. Lamb vindaloo had great tomato flavor. Veggie samosas were perfect - not oily, nice and light. The raisin and coconut naan was new for me and a real treat! So delicious - almost like dessert but also a perfect pairing with what I got. In my top three of all restaurants in Boston. Definitely ordering again when I want to treat myself“
“Dining method: Dine-inItem(s) ordered: Egg Bara, Jeera Aloo, Shahi Paneer Masala, Navaratna Korma (I think!)Value: Very fair pricingSpeed: Food came out quite quickly, we were not waiting for long! The Review: I am so grateful to have the quality and flavor that Himalayan Kitchen serves up in their small, humble space. This was my first time, and I was very impressed. The food was fantastic and flavorful. The staff were kind, welcoming, and were very accommodating for dietary needs. There were a mountain (pun intended) of vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options. I used the lentil-based Bara almost as a gluten-free naan option. So, so good. I shall be dreaming of this meal for a while. At the end, they gave us some rice pudding to try, which was such a treat. My only complaint is that it wasn't really spicy enough, as I was definitely profiled by the staff ;) To be fair, I imagine they were trying to save me...all in good faith--I just have to ask for spice next time.“
“I had an amazing experience with this restaurant . The customer service was outstanding, and the food was exactly what I was looking for. I was so pleased with the service .They went above and beyond to my expectations.“I was very impressed with the quality of the food I received. It was exactly what I was hoping for.” The samosa chat was extremely delicious. I highly recommend to try it.“
“This place is great - had the Somosa Chole Chaat (samosa topping with a chickpea curry and lots of fixins). Delicious food, great portion and the staff are super friendly. Will definitely be back again soon to try more on their massive menu. If you're in the area, don't miss this spot! (Also, it's about $1 cheaper for most items if you call or order there, as opposed to online). There are also a few awesome Indian and Halal markets in the same parking lot“
“I have been eating at Ali's Roti for years. This is the best and authentic West Indian food found outside of the Caribbean. I highly recommend Ali's Roti for an excellent healthy home cooked meal. The staff and food remind me of my favorite food stall in Oistins, Barbados. I am very thankful that Ali's Roti is in Boston. I wish the staff a very healthy and prosperous new year.“
“The BEST lunch buffet place in the Boston area for South Asian food! Amazing Nepali/Indian dishes for the very reasonable price of $18. If you live in Boston , you know that's a great deal. They have garlic naan, dal tadka, palak paneer, navaratan korma, chicken tikka, and even Nepali dishes like momo, goat curry, rayo ko saag, kukhura ko masu, and chai/chiya. The quality of all the dishess, service team and the aesthetics of the place are all 10/10.“
“Excellent Indian cuisine located in JP.Service was great, friendly and welcoming.Food was delicious. Chicken curry was spicy, which always hit a spot. Lamb vindaloo was sweeter, mild, but flavorful and perfect with rice.Naan was nice and crispy, on the thinner side, and perfect to dip into the curry.“
“Got the butter chicken and samosa chaat with jasmine rice as takeout- DAMN. So good wish we had tried a couple more dishes. Very cozy environment - recommend dining in. Almost witnessed a brawl outside bc of parking, so hopefully you can walk.“
“Few days ago, I came here for having dinner with my friend.Food was amazing and service was fantastic. Special thanks to the chef's. We enjoyed your delicious food especially goat curry and chicken korma.I would highly recommed this place. and they serve buffet as well.Ambience : 5/5 | Service : 5/5 | Food : 5/5.Vegetarian options: This restaurant has so many vegan options too.“
“This place is amazing. The chicken tikki masala and cheese naan are by far the best I've ever had but the hospitality and kindness even outweigh the incredible variety of dishes! It's a weekly stop during our adventures in Boston ♥️Vegetarian options: Anything, really anything you would want, their menu is pretty bigKid-friendliness: My four year is always welcome! They have ice cream and non spicy options. They've even given us free rice for her. We love this place!“
“I was excited to try this new Indian spot just a few minutes from our house on the edge of Malden. Honestly, for the price point, the food far exceeded expectations. We had Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Biryani, Saag Paneer, Baigan Bharta, and samosas. Everything was flavorful, fresh. I saw another reviewer say the bangan bharta was oily and bitter - ours was smooth, a little pleasantly smokey, and had a complex spicy / slightly sweet seasoning. Cons: Small detail, but when I have ordered naan at other places, we usually get an enormous one, or two pieces in an order - this naan felt like a single-serve only. I'll definitely plan to order more next time. Also, the food isn't spicy at all - just something to be mindful of if you are expecting a bit more heat.“
“Very nice setting. Good service.I ordered a chicken dish and it was very tasty but WAY too spicy! But there was enough delicious tender chicken for at least 3 portions, I discovered when I brought the leftovers home.I wish they brought a couple of papadums and chutney to the table to welcome us, which I have come to expect in nicer Indian restaurants. So probably next time I'll get takeout.“
“My 5 star on1. Complimentary tea2. Reasonably less price for their Nepali/Indian menu.3. Sweet gesture4. Option to choose any curry for lunch that comes with naan and rice.5. Noodles Indo / Chinese style ( I wish they take care of the salt per taste)6. Reasonably clean.“
“Amazing service and menu options every time, delicious and fresh always a pleasure to see chef and all the food is authentic and homemade. The Ras Mali is out of this world and made with pure love and expertise. As is all the food from this restaurant. Visit their restaurant in Watertown as well for a more family style lunch and dinner dine in experience.“
“I've passed this place a bunch of times in their old downtown location and I was always curious. I finally had the opportunity to come in today (to their new place at 92 Bedford street) and I was pleasantly surprised! I ordered a meat combo plate with lamb curry, mater paneer, naan bread, rice and a vegetable samosa and all were excellent! The samosa in particular I liked, it didn't taste frozen or old like they sometimes do. The lamb was tender and flavorful. The mater paneer was a little soupy but was still good and made a nice gravy for the rice. There aren't many options for Indian food in downtown so it's very nice to have this place to go to. I will definitely come back!“
“One of the best buffet foods we had during our trip from Toronto to New York to Boston.Today we tried a buffet that had a massive range of food that any desi people crave to eat. The food items were rice, betray, pakora, naan, matar aalu, chana, palak paneer, butter chicken, chicken tikka, chai, ras gullay, etc and I don't hesitate to say it was amazingly phenomenal in taste, freshly made with love, and I was satisfied at the price of 14.99 for each person. The best part was meat was halal and they serve food to MIT as well which is just across the street if am not wrong. The ambiance inside was exotic, and I am convinced to immerse myself in dining there next time whenever I hop in the city again. The customer service was great, and everyone was very kind and helpful. They've been running this great restaurant for the last 22 years. Everyone was very kind and helpful. I mentioned in my previous experience at a different place. Caring makes a huge difference. It's not just the good taste of the food; sometimes, it's the little things that pull people in to experience it again.Overall, I'm impressed and come back again to dine in.“
“I recently had the pleasure of dining at Halal Indian Cuisine and it was an unforgettable culinary journey. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with the delightful aroma of spices and the warmth of the staff. The menu boasts a tantalizing array of authentic Indian dishes, each crafted with precision and care. From rich curries to fragrant biryanis, every bite was a burst of flavor that transported me straight to the streets of India. The chefs at Halal Indian Cuisine have truly mastered the art of Indian cuisine, infusing each dish with depth and authenticity. What truly sets Halal Indian Cuisine apart, however, is the impeccable service and genuine hospitality of the staff. From the attentive servers to the knowledgeable sommelier, every member of the team went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was nothing short of perfect. Their passion for food and dedication to customer satisfaction was evident in every interaction. The ambiance of the restaurant is inviting and elegant, making it the perfect setting for any occasion, whether it's a romantic dinner for two or a lively gathering with friends and family.Overall, my experience at Halal Indian Cuisine was nothing short of exceptional. I left feeling nourished, satisfied, and eager to return for another culinary adventure. If you're in search of authentic Indian cuisine served with a side of warmth and hospitality, look no further than [Restaurant Name]. It's truly a gem in the culinary landscape.Halal Indian Cuisine has undoubtedly earned its place as one of the top Indian restaurants in town, and I cannot recommend it highly enoughVegetarian options: Vegetarian optionsDietary restrictions: Vegan and vegetarian optionsKid-friendliness: Staff was extremely friendly“
“Second time ordering takeout and it was delicious x2. The vegetable balls are my favorite. The aloo chooley is really good as well. Always ready very quickly, and the staff are pleasant. Lucky they’re in my neighborhood!Vegetarian options: Great options, large selection and delicious“
“Probably my favorite Indian restaurant in Cambridge. Their daily lunch buffet is a tremendous deal and the quality is quite fine, with excellent vegetarian apps and entrees, along with some really good chicken curry, butter chicken, and tandoori. Place had a clean, modern vibe and an impressive full bar.“
“The Best Roti in Boston. Because they are the best and their hours are so limited, they are always busy and crowded. Never call, just go in and place your order. I find that the wait time is a lot less. Wait time can range from 15 to 30. Don't go there if you are in rush. I assure you they are not playing around back there. Those employees are back there working and literally going as fast as they possibly can.The roti is so delicious, I been going to them for the last 8 years. I will never go anywhere else.Highly recommend.“
“Got takeout from here just this weekend and although I really wanted to be, I just was not impressed by it :( We got the wrong kind of naan and it was much harder and crunchier than normal naan. I have a food allergy that I wrote on each item in the order and the naan switch up made me pretty uneasy. The johl momo sauce came separate from the dumplings and it wasn't labeled so I was worried about what it could be, considering the naan was wrong and I knew they had a cashew sauce for a lot of items. Once I had by bf taste it to try to to decode what it was, I did try some. It was cold and not flavorful at all. I will say though, the mad chili wings were my favorite - the coating is this amazingly flavorful, textured sauce. Would def recommend. The chicken itself wasn't great but the coating made up for it. I would maybe come here again in person to get food straight out of the kitchen and be able to talk to someone about my allergies.Update: Went to dine-in here and it was great! Food was great, staff was better about my allergy (still had a little concern) and the vibes were much better!“
