“We popped into Central Provisions today on our stay in Portland and I was blown away by this restaurant. It was a very intimate, beautiful space with amazing flavor. Our server, Andy, made the experience. They were very kind and made dining with an allergy a breeze. Do not skip Central Provisions when you come to Portland!

Dietary restrictions: Their allergen menu is wildly helpful. It's color coded and makes it very clear what is and is not safe, and whether or not an allergen can be removed from the dish. I have a severe nut allergy and I felt completely safe eating here.”

Thanks to his advice, we found our favorite perfumes. Ideally located, it is a perfect address for a delicious dessert outside of a restaurant. Despite the cold, tasting this ice cream was a real pleasure. A big thank you to the waiter for his welcome and his kindness, which made the experience even better!”

“Just finished one of the BEST Italian meals ive ever had in my restaurant going life in a place id never have expected to and thats saying something being a 1st Generation Italian coming from NY ! ViA VECCHiA is Portland, Maine was absolutely 10/10 on everything they did! We started with Meatballs, Whipped Ricotta & Grilled Octopus. The meatballs reminded me of my mothers, the ricotta was tremendous with truffle honey & sesame breadsticks and the octopus was grilled perfectly. One dish was better than the next. We shared ravioli with as an entree and we never felt gross like we ate too much. The portion sizes were PERFECT. Wrapped the night off with a espresso infused cheesecake over salted caramel. Wow. Staff was incredibly accommodating, professional and polite. Service was excellent! If youre ever in Portland, ME you must go get a meal here!”

“Last month our flight to Portland was delayed a considerable amount of time due to weather issues and it looked as though we would not be able to make our 5p.m. reservation. My daughter called from the tarmac in Boston where we were rerouted and refueled and explained the situation. The hostess, Susie, was very understanding and compassionate And said that even though our table was booked for another party a 7, we should come in and she would see what she could do. We got there late but Susie greeted us warmly and told us not to worry about being rushed that she had arranged things so no one would be inconvenienced. The atmosphere was warm and cozy; the food so very delicious and our waitperson, Anika, was the best. Atmosphere, impeccable service, food and warmth all rate 5 stars and another visit next time we are in Portland.”

“We really enjoyed our meal at Fore Street. The food was fantastic. I wish I could remember our waitress' name, because she did a wonderful job explaining the dishes and putting everything we ordered into different courses throughout the meal. Shout out to you, girl. Highly recommend the Heritage Pork Presse, if it's on the menu. Very unique entree.”

“We had a lovely dinner a few nights ago at Wayside with our delightful server (sorry, I didn't learn her name). However, our (and our neighboring table) were disturbed by a very loud party of 5 '(birthday group) with no consideration of fellow diners. I understand that Wayside has no control over the behavior of the rude, but it's disappointing to have an enjoyable evening spoiled by the behavior of fellow diners.”

“My girlfriend and I had a wonderful dinner on 2-15. We sat at the end of the sushi bar- it was a little tight when it got busy, but it’s definitely the best sushi place we’ve been to. Our server Chad was awesome and made us feel very welcome. I told a few friends and decided to write a review”

“Been talking about Bar Futo for a year now ever since their pop up at the amazing Koji Club in Boston. Here’s how it went. Get one of everything. Drink a bottle of sake. Chat with amazing staff. Order more yakitori. Have some beers. Order a crazy dessert. Buy the kitchen some shots. And listen to the story of the amazing chef and owner on what it takes to open and run the best new restaurant in New England. I said it. Sorry Boston but gonna have to step it up notch. Can’t wait to come back!”

“My fiancée and I were in town for the weekend. We hadn’t really planned anything so we were looking for dinner for her birthday. We called and they said they were full but bar seats should open around 6:45 which makes sense as it was a Saturday night. The wait to get a seat was quick and right at 6:45 as the host had said.
The staff were all friendly and professional. The person running the bar was fascinating to watch as they perfectly and neatly executed each drink.
We started with the focaccia bread. It was flavorful and soft. We ordered the polenta and gnocchi dishes to share. Both dishes were perfect. We both really enjoy trying new places with great food.
The food created and executed by these cooks/chefs was flawless. Presentation was amazing. Execution was very fast. Taste was beyond a 10/10.
Do not go to Portland without visiting here.”

From the moment you enter, the smell of freshly baked bread already wins you. Everything looks incredible, but the financier was something else... crispy on the outside, soft and buttery on the inside, with that almond flavor that leaves you in shock 😍
You can tell that they do everything with love and quality. The place has a calm vibe, perfect for a coffee and something sweet.
I would definitely come back just for that financier 🥹🔥”

The other two pastries were tasty. I would order the hojicha? Cake again. The fruits on top of the cake were excellent 👌

We would recommend that you go early though..we went around Noon and they were pretty much out of everything.”

My husband ordered the Down east Ruben, which was made with deep fried haddock with Cole slaw piled high on the bun with melted cheese. He said it was delicious! I opted for the classic BLT. Again, the sandwich was delicious. The lettuce and tomatoes were fresh and ample bacon was piled on top. I watched a young man bus the tables. He was extremely thorough cleaning the tables and seating. He even washed the items on the table (salt & pepper shakers, ketchup and hot sauce bottles). This young man then set the tables for new customers. Being a bit of a clean freak, I appreciated this young man's work. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant.”

The catfish melts in your mouth, and the mac and cheese and mashed potatoes were excellent. “Went with a larger group on a late Thursday evening and we were able to walk in with no wait. The menu is extensive with many, many options including sushi, poke bowls, ramen, bubble tea, hibachi and more! It was kind of like a Japanese Cheesecake Factory with an all inclusive menu.
Our waiter, Bill, was excellent and checked in often with us and was kind and always smiling. The food was good - closer to 3.5 stars. The sake selection was great and I recommend the sake sampler. Everyone in our group was happy with their food and decided we’d try it again. The location is excellent!”
