“We loved the BBQ dinner at Jack Stacks Lees Summit. One of the people in our party had a birthday and they served her a delicious carrot cake that we all shared. The food was delicious! The server was excellent! We were seated in the middle of the restaurant and it was a little noisy. I would have preferred something on the side. Otherwise it was a great experience!!”

“All I can say is WOW! My husband & I went here for the first time last Friday and from the moment we stepped it we had the best dining experience we’ve ever had in the Kansas City area. Our server was Kortney and she was nothing short of AMAZING. She was attentive and made sure we were happy with our experience. Our drinks were always refilled at the halfway point, she checked on us at all of the perfect times and it was clear she was on top of it! She was friendly, attentive, & provided some seriously top-notch service. We ordered the crap dip to start and oh my goodness it was so delicious we were tempted to order another or. The dip was overflowing the bowl and everything was so FRESH. My husband ordered the pork tenderloin wrapped in bacon and he said it was literally melting in his mouth. I ordered the roots burger and was impressed that someone could take a cheeseburger & make it THAT GOOD. We will absolutely be back! From the atmosphere to the service to the food - EVERY single aspect exceeded our expectations. We cannot recommend this place enough!”

“I recently had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant, and despite an unexpected hiccup, I can’t recommend it enough! I arrived near the end of the day, straight from the airport after a trip from California, to meet my family. Unfortunately, the chef had decided to close the kitchen early, which meant nearly half the menu wasn’t available. While that could’ve soured the experience, the staff turned it into something truly memorable.Our server, Jennifer, was an absolute gem. She was kind, apologetic, and went above and beyond to ensure we still felt taken care of despite the limited options. Her warmth and effort made all the difference. Then, the manager on duty, Matt, stopped by to personally apologize as well. His professionalism and genuine kindness shone through—he was more concerned about us not having the perfect experience than anything else. Both Jennifer and Matt are invaluable assets to this place; they’re the kind of people who make you feel like you matter. The food we did get was delicious, but honestly, the service was the star of the show. It’s rare to find a team so dedicated to making things right. I’ll absolutely be returning to this establishment next time I’m in town. Kudos to them for finding the best people to represent their business—Jennifer and Matt deserve all the praise!”

“Located above Hand in Glove in downtown Lee’s Summit this hidden speakeasy is a cocktail gem you definitely need to try. Walked in without a reservation on a Friday night and got seated immediately. The cocktails were all uniquely crafted and absolutely delicious. The smoked vanilla old fashioned is a must try, one of the favorite cocktails in Kansas City. The bartender and manager were very accommodating when I ordered a cocktail that I didn’t enjoy and they made me something else with no questions asked. We will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu!

“AMAZING! I'm an east-coast guy living in the Midwest who's been looking for a great place for fresh seafood (sorry Red Lobster) for over 6 years. This diamond in the rough exceeded my expectations. While the majority of the US can't even find a place that serves King Crab (due to supply and demand escalated cost), I found a place that not only has it but has it at a very reasonable price. I had 1/2 lb King Crab, 1/2 lb Snow Crab, and 1/2 lb of shrimp. We must have been there for over an hour while I picked out every piece of crab meat. The way the dish came out was neat (I won't ruin the surprise). I also highly recommend the sweet potato fries. I would give this place a 6 out of 5 stars!”

“Green and white burrito is so good! I love the spice. Margaritas were tasty and the salsa is so great. Our server was wonderful and prompt with 2 kids in tow. The Snow Globe experience was very cool. People on here complaining about prices SHOULD go to Taco Bell. My burrito was so huge, I’m having the second half for lunch so I don’t care that it costs $19. Try running a small business, especially in the food service industry with Taco Bell pricing! Looking forward to supporting local once more when it switches to an Italian eatery.”

“We love coming to Shakin’. It is definitely a hidden gem. Sadly, tonight was a let down. We got here and there were several seats at the bar that we were told were supposedly “taken”. A large group came in and were told to take the seats. They were served quickly. We waited 15-20 minutes to even be acknowledged by the bar staff. Would have been nice to at least been welcomed and told be with you shortly. When the bartender finally made eye contact and came over, his excuse was “sorry, there’s only two of us!” We’ve been here when the place was packed and never experienced this service. We literally almost walked out. Miss the “old” bartenders who were attentive and quick to take care of customers.”

My daughter with a peanut allergy realized it after 1 bite thank goodness and with some Benadryl she's fine. I called after to confirm flavor and was told flavors rotate and to always ask what they were. They're not obligated to label peanut products but it would be nice if they did since it's a high allergen food :( They didn't even ask if she was ok. I get 5 alarm spicy wrap and it's amazing.. that's all I can say.

This time the rice was hard.
I told the worker because they're obviously serving undercooked rice and I know majority will never say anything. Because this stuff happens sometimes and the food is so good it can happen.
When I explained this fact the girl looked at me and touched the rice and basically shrugged me off saying it shouldn't be. I told her 'your teeth will tell you . Brown and white is undercooked '.. I don't think she believes me. That's ok.

Parking: It's shared with other businesses so at times can be tough.”

“I used to dislike Chinese food. Lucky Wok has turned a new page for me. I've eaten here 3 times, and each time has been a home run. I'm not a big veggie guy, but I've grubbed up everything that has come in my Kung Pao Chicken and Szechuan Chicken dishes, even the fried rice. I like things on the spicy side, and I personally think that they could take the spice marker up 2 or 3 notches, but the flavors are very good and blend well together. The wife and I prefer to dine in so that we can eat while the food is hot. There are 2 very nice tables and 1 small table available in the restaurant. There's never anyone eating there, so we don't get bumped out of a place to sit while we dine. Service has never been rude; in fact, the folks who've taken our orders have always been very polite and courteous. Lucky Wok has earned a regular spot on our Lee's Summit lunch list.”

Keep up the amazing work, it's always a pleasure to eat or pick up food here!”

They use fresh poultry for their Kung Pao Chicken, not breaded chunks of processed meat. And at around $12 for a laaarge meal (sometimes enough for lunch and dinner), I always feel great about eating here. I confess I've tried other places and they're ok, but Aiku is so good!!!?

Dietary restrictions: My mother has cilac but Papa Murphy's has Gluten Free crust so I can get her a pizza just like my "Papa's Favorite" which she loves.

Parking: Plenty of open spaces. My Papa Murphy's location is in a strip mall or shared with other tenants. But, in the evenings most of those businesses are already closed so there's always plenty of parking when I pick up my pizza's after 5:00pm.

Kid-friendliness: Every time I buy and a pizza and go pick it up at the local Pap Murphy's, the people are always friendly and provides service with a smile.”
