“My husband and I went to eat here last night and we loved it. Very delicious food and very beautiful presentation. The restaurant was full and they were a little understaffed, so it took a long time for the food to arrive, but the owner was so kind and thoughtful to give us everything we ate that night for free and also gave us a bottle of wine. I wish I would've asked him his name, but very nice guy. We are definitely coming back soon.“

Recommended 100%Dietary restrictions: Well I see that it has green juices, although I don't like them...!! But those who want healthy smoothies this is the place.Parking: Well, it has about 14 parking spaces, I don't think I counted them correctly, but the good thing is that I always find parking.Kid-friendliness: The portions are perfect for the little ones in the house, the empanadas and the yucca buns I know they love them.“

As born and raised Miamian, I can honestly tell you that the best cafe con leche is found at Margon in Manhattan. Hands down. For secondi, the branzino (fish of the day) was impressive as well - fish was fresh and I loved the charred and crispy skin. Some of the workers here don't really speak any English... but there was someone here who was able to help me even though my Spanish kind of sucks. A delivery of food from one of the restaurant's vendors was coming in while I was standing at the counter to order, and I had to keep moving out of the guy's way as he went in and out of the store with the hand truck. “I recently visited this Spanish chicken restaurant and overall had a positive experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, creating a pleasant environment for a meal. The staff was attentive and friendly, contributing to the overall enjoyable dining experience. Now, let's delve into the highlight—the Spanish chicken. While the dishes were tasty, I couldn't help but feel that they fell slightly short of my expectations. The chicken was well-cooked, but there was a subtle element missing that would have elevated it to perfection. Perhaps a bit more seasoning or a unique twist could have added that extra flair.Despite this minor critique, the menu offered a diverse selection of Spanish-inspired dishes. The appetizers, such as patatas bravas and chorizo croquettes, showcased the chef's creativity and commitment to traditional flavors. The presentation was noteworthy, with each dish appearing as a carefully crafted masterpiece. The drink menu was well-curated, featuring a selection of Spanish wines and cocktails. The sangria, in particular, was a delightful complement to the meal, adding to the overall enjoyment of the dining experience. The dessert, churros with chocolate dipping sauce, was a sweet ending to the meal. The churros were well-prepared, offering a satisfying conclusion to the culinary journey. In conclusion, while the overall experience was positive, I've rated this restaurant four stars as I believe there is room for improvement in the flavor profile of the Spanish chicken. I still recommend this establishment for its ambiance, attentive service, and creative menu, with the hope that the culinary aspects can reach“

“So I decided to visit this restaurant because it has good reviews and the menu looked good. When I first arrived here, I was a little doubtful of my decision to come, as this restaurant is quite simple and easy to miss. I decided to go in after seeing several other people come in. I ordered chicken chicharrones with tostones and was told it would be a short wait for them to be made fresh. It wasn't a long wait and I saw the very generous portions of food I was getting. I also ordered a large chicken soup. The price was very fair and everyone who worked in the restaurant was very friendly. Being able to speak Spanish is an advantage but not completely necessary. Let me tell you something, the delicious fragrance emanating from the food was almost impossible to resist on the way home, and it made my car smell better than any air freshener. The soup was ridiculously delicious, filled with chicken and vegetables and just amazing. Even my cats couldn't resist the aroma and taste of chicken. The chicharrones were a little overcooked but still incredibly delicious. I'm so glad I found this place and I could really go here every day. I recommend anyone to stop by here and enjoy their delicious food.Parking: It's a little difficult to find parking right in front of this place, but there is ample free parking on the side streets.“

“La Casa de Frida emerges as a stellar happy hour destination, perfect for those seeking a swift libation. Boasting two distinct happy hour specials--running from 12 to 5 and another from 5 to 7--the spot delivers not only variety but also affordability. While the drink specials shine, the culinary offerings fall short of the happy hour pricing ethos, presenting full-priced wings, quesadillas, and tacos. Despite this culinary mismatch, the prospect of returning solely for the libations remains alluring. La Casa de Frida excels in crafting drinks that tantalize the taste buds, promising a delightful journey to tipsiness by the third round.Noteworthy is the commendable service; during our visit, my companion and I decided to explore a special $30 shot of Patron Alto, intrigued by its novelty. To our surprise, the establishment went above and beyond by generously gifting us another expensive shot on the house, acknowledging our curiosity and enhancing our overall experience. This gesture adds an extra layer of satisfaction to the visit, creating a positive memory that encourages a return for both the drinks and the exceptional service.“

The price for the order I would say is a bit on the high end when compared to prices and quantity of other near by establishments. “This is a typical Dominican restaurant in the Bronx, however, there food is slightly superior to those in the neighborhood. The chicken and beans taste better then most sorounding spots and they have great specials. The prices have hiked a bit, but with inflation it is expected. This restaurant has been around for a while and I hope it keeps thriving for many more years to come.#dominican #food #love #chicken #beans #lunch #breakfast #los3golpesVegetarian options: They have rice, beans, vegetables, plantains, and other options.Kid-friendliness: Everyone is welcome including kidsWheelchair accessibility: This is on the first floor and although the door does not open automatically, a person can come in with no issues.“

“I want to get the bad out of the way first. I do feel the prices are a bit on the expensive side by a few bucks, especially for a local restaurant. They charge NYC prices. They should also make sure the menu prices match what they charge. I was going to take a star away for the price but what I write next will explain why I didn't.The food here is absolutely delicious. I have come here for breakfast and dinner and I am never disappointed in the food. The people that work here also seem very nice. I've never had issues with the service. The ladies here seem like they are in a good mood and they are working hard. All their food is good but I want to put my focus on their beans. I am a bean loving Puerto Rican and if you are a Latino restaurant that sells beans...they better be good. Well, this place has great beans. I appreciate the flavor and consistency of the beans. There are places that give you watery or watered down beans and it is a practice that I look down on because these places don't respect the details of the beans. As for my favorite dish, I am a simple guy and I enjoy their breaded chicken with rice and beans. I will also say that their version of arroz moro is absolutely great. So yes it is a bit more expensive but the richness of the food and the portions that you get will certainly make it more palatable. For this reason, I did not take a star away.“

“Small hole in the wall shop serving up bomb food. Ordered the chicken quesadilla for pick-up was still hot, crunchy and delicious. Cheese to chicken ratio was fantastic. Sauce is delicious! Guy at the front was kind. No complaints. And to get a meal for $11 nowadays?! Unreal! Thank you!“

“I recently dined at this fantastic Dominican restaurant, and it exceeded all my expectations! The freshness of the ingredients was evident in every bite, making the dining experience truly delightful. The service was exceptionally fast, ensuring I didn't have to wait long to savor the incredible flavors. The portions were not only amazing but also generously large, providing excellent value for money. I highly recommend trying the mofongo with chicken and the whole rotisserie chicken – both dishes were absolute highlights. What's even more impressive is that all these fantastic qualities come at affordable prices. A five-star gem that I'll be returning to for more culinary delights!“

“I have been going to this small place for years. If you want to feel like you are eating at your abuelas house, this is it! The owners make you feel like you are at home. The cheapest prices in the neighborhood. They catered my last event & I could not believe the prices. To add on the owner added a nice surprise to my order - Just so thoughtful! I just love coming here... from the smell of home made food when you walk in, to the culture.“
