“Hands down the best espresso drinks in JC. My favorite two things are the fig prosciutto and cheese focaccia and Also THE TINY SPICY FISH on toast. I don't know exactly what it is but I don't care its amazing and delicious. Get a cortado or a cappuccino or even just an espresso shot.The service is FAST especially for what everyone is making but I will say the line and wait can get so crazy that you sometimes just step out and try another time.“
“After living in the area for 4 years, we finally made our way to Scram to grab some breakfast sandwiches. They're only open from 8am - 12pm Thursday to Sunday, so there's a limited time to actually try them. I had the Ham sandwich and X had the sausage sandwich. Both were excellent, and I loved the brioche bun. Actually almost every sandwich on the menu sounded good and I am definitely coming back for the Pimento cheese sandwich. We also split a Passionfruit doughnut braid and it was phenomenal. I would 10/10 come back just for that doughnut braid. So good, so tart. so moist.“
“Yes yes yes! We will be coming back for sure! Despite not having seats or being a traditional cafe, the baked goods here hit. the. spot. We got a pepperoni and cheese roll (kind of like a calzone but better), ricotta pastry and chocolate roll, and all three came out to $11 and the sizes were generous. Second Street Bakery does not skimp on the ingredients, and the pastries were field with pepperoni, ricotta and chocolate - everything was evenly distributed so every bite you took was perfect. Highly recommend this spot! The server was really kind and no frills. We look forward to returning and trying their sandwiches too!“

“Right off the beaten path of Central Ave is Galeria. They have two little tables outside when it's nice, and inside is a cute homey and clean spot with plenty of seats. Their coffees are great and empanadas are awesome for a quick grab. Also good for chicken sandwiches and breakfast platters! Owners are very sweet. They deserve your business instead of Dunkin. Prices for lattes are better and doesn't taste like a syrupy mess. Go here!“
“Came in randomly while we were walking down the street looking for a late breakfast spot. Anthony the owner was there and he served us. All of the food was great. He treated us especially well and even gave us a complimentary passion fruit mousse that he created that was absolutely delicious. This restaurant is an absolute gem of a 'hole in the wall' in the best way. You're not gonna find anything better in this category. I will definitely come again if I'm in town.“

“We have visited Atul Bakery several times and it has never disappointed. The food's quality and taste is the best. We have tried the pastries, puffs, sandwiches and they have all been great. It has some delicious looking birthday cakes and other Indian snacks/sweets which we will hopefully try soon. If you are looking for a quick snack when in the Indian square, this place is the best (not the healthiest or the least priced though)!“

“Small little hole in the wall place that has great breakfast and even greater coffee. Serving sizes are large and plenty of variety for the picky eaters. The breads and croissants are so fresh, puffy and toasty at the same time. It's open very early in the morning and lot's of locals come in to grab a coffee and bite to go, when you see it crowded so early in the morning you know it's a good place to eat.“

“Old-school Jersey City establishment that stood the test of time and for many great reasons. I love artisanal bread and always search for the best bread. They make a perfect bread for sandwiches. Rolls have a nice chew and cripsy crust but a soft heart and a taste of character (like your classic Jerseysian). This place is overlooked and deserves much more recognition than many places across the river. If you're a carb lover, looking for value, and want to sink your teeth into more than 3 generations of pride and love, this is the place. Had the Meatball sandwich and cold cuts and cinnamon roll. All on point . The sandwiches are always good. They're popular for a reason but don't sleep on the other bread products. "It's a place known for great sandwiches, so why get anything else?" WRONG! Got the cinna bread on a whim, heat it up back home, and wow. New breakfast ritual. Gonna have to try the other breads. The owners are nice and great too. Tip: Cash only, closes on Monday and go early. They close early and sell out early and while it's fresh.“

“This is a good neighborhood ice cream shop with a bunch of unique flavors. I went with honey lavender and an almond ice cream with caramel swirls. The ice creams were way sweet for my palate but I did enjoy the flavors. Unfortunately they are not giving out samples. The pint collection has some unique flavors too and I saw a number of walk-ins just going for the pint.“

“We ordered our engagement cake from Cocoa Bakery and were extremely happy with how everything came out. This was our first time ordering a large cake and the cake expert was very patient with us and walked us through all the various flavors/styles/fillings and was very transparent about the pricing. The cake exceeded expectation. We knew we wanted a naked cake style to match our rustic them and they worked with us finding using example pictures to style our cake exactly as we wanted. The process was no stress. We were late at ordering the cake (about 2.5 weeks out) but they had helped us confirm the cake/size quickly and once we were confirmed they took care of everything and the cake was delivered fresh on time. The cake was more than enough to feed all our guest, delicious and so fresh. The buttercream frosting was delicious and our cake expert gave us tips on how to serve it to preserve the taste. “I like the black rice Biko(sticky rice with brown sugar) because it’s not overly sweet and hot food is pretty good too. However, it’s hard to know what you’re paying beforehand because they don’t include price tags. I’d recommend including pricing of each item so customers know what they’re paying!I do like how they include the ingredients which helps customers make decisions when they can’t eat a certain ingredient.“

Bang cookies were the perfect hotel welcome bag treat for our guests spending the weekend. Bang has long been our go-to for late night sweet tooth cravings, so it was a no brainer to incorporate them in our wedding. “A wonderful experience! I took my wife here for her birthday and she enjoyed herself very much, and so did I. The croissants were some of the best I've ever had, and so was the coffee. The hot chocolate was to DIE FOR. We got a box of the nine petit cakes, and were initially worried that, because of the flowers, they would taste like straight buttercream. They did not. They were all moist and tasted like they were soaked in some super yummy syrup.The service was amazing, too. The man who took our order gave us some lovely information about where everything came from, what they had from where, and how things were made, and it was refreshing to hear someone who was so proud of their pastries. “This place has been in business since 2001 and the owners are blessed ?? to still be up and running. I was 19 when I first ate from here and I am almost 40 years old. The owners have always been good people and they never hiked up the price to rob the community. This tray was considered small and it was priced at $11 and the drink was $2.50. To be able to enjoy a delicious meal for that price is a blessing ?? I was able to eat 3x out of this one tray! Meat tender mac and cheese cheesy it's flavorful as hell!
