“The place has mostly takeouts. We did dine in and it was great. They were able to make things vegetarian for us as well. The veggie steamed dumplings were my favorite and the ramen in the cold weather was absolutely amazing. It is definitely saved on my go to again list. Must try!“
“This place is amazing! Shea is the best, the heart and soul of Rosella. Shea guides your dining experience so you have the best meal. The avocado roll, sashimi, ceviche, all the big rolls are just amazing! You really can order anything and can expect perfection and perfect flavor combinations. Everything about Rosella is thoughtful and the people who work here are the cherry on top. 100% go!“
“Found this late night gem after seeing Sweeny Todd at the theatre.Unfortunately, the kitchen was going to be closed in half an hour, so we only ordered the House Chicken Fried Rice, Shrimp Dumplings, and Sweet & Sour Pork Ribs. My only complaint is I wished we ordered more before the kitchen closed; it was all delicious!! ??The service was quick. Even the Jasmine tea served had a delicious flavour. We'll have to come back here the next time in NYC.“
“A warm local Georgian place which is owned by a super friendly and easy going owner with a simple but cute decor. The service is also great with the owner happy to recommend the dishes.I wanted to tick off the traditional Georgian dish, Adjaruli Khachapuri. It's basically a bread boat filled with cheese and raw egg yolk. It's a baked dish and is best eaten when hot. One needs to mix the raw egg yolk properly within the cheese and then devour it. The bread was easy to break with crisp sides while the cheese was really creamy and smooth. It basically felt like a better version of NYC cheese pizza minus the marinara, and I would happily choose this one over pizza! The dish is simple, filling and soul satisfying which made me love it. The prices too are pretty decent compared to the neighborhood they are located in.Overall an amazing experience with Georgian food, would definitely come back to try their Khinkali (dumplings) next time!“
“Very authentic, homemade style Yemeni dishes with fresh ingredients and a variety of choices. The flavours are very close to the original Yemeni food. What I loved the most is the out of the clay oven bread with the hot dipping sauce, EXCEPTIONAL! There is a little room for improvement with the service, they were generous and professional but understaffed for a busy restaurant. I recommend lamb hanith and chicken kabse dishesKid-friendliness: There are several meals suitable for the children“
“Hands down one of the best authentic Indian food we had in NYC. Everything was so fresh. The owner was very welcoming and truly showcased “atithi devo bhava”. It felt like home. They customized the paneer tikka for my kid and she loved it. Would absolutely visit this place again.. and again.. kudos!!“
“I have been here for both dinner and lunch. I prefer the dinner menu over their lunch menu because of the bigger portions and wider variety, but the dinner menu is available at lunch as well. For dinner, my partner got the braised short rib which he was very pleased with. I got the set of four hand rolls which all tasted fresh and delicious. The hand rolls are more like open sushi tacos. There was a lot of filling so I ended up being fuller than I expected. For lunch, we had the lunch bento set which included a small portion of an entrée, a miso soup or salad, and a hand roll of your choice for about $25 depending on your entree. The teriyaki is on the milder side. Overall, I am happy to have this little gem in Brooklyn. Besides the good food, service has always been exceptional too.“
“It’s a must to stop by when we visit NYC…. Perfect for a chilly day or if you just want some bomb ramen! The host guy manages really well and is professional when speaking to the customers. Overall our favorite place for ramen and trust me… my wife is picky.“
“The food was delicious!!!! A friend told me that it would be very spicy, but I didn’t find it to be so. (Definitely had a zip to it but not too extreme) Service was attentive and pleasant. The only downside was the seating. The chairs were more like elementary school short stools. Quite uncomfortable, but I’d definitely go back just for the food!“
“Delicious authentic Thai food inspired by the vibrant floating markets of Thailand in a great location in Brooklyn and the service was friendly and attentive. The establishment isn't overly decorated or saturated with themed decor but has subtle hints of Thai culture throughout the restaurant which is nice. It has a cozy and intimate feel but it's super casual. On the menu:Mama Tom Yum grilled river prawnsCrying TigerShrimp DonutsDuck CrepeFloating marketWatermelon mojitoMango sticky riceThe food was delicious but the drinks were lacking in flavor as they both were unsweetened. Not sure if the bartender forgot an ingredient because both drinks were almost like drinking a seltzer. Very pretty but lacked flavor.Overall 9/10Ig: Thefunfluencer“
“From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere that set the stage for a wonderful dining experience.About the food – the lamb and A5 wagyu were nothing short of phenomenal. Bursting with flavor, each bite was a testament to the restaurant's dedication to sourcing the highest quality ingredients from around the world. And the cocktails? They were the perfect accompaniment to the meal, expertly crafted and incredibly refreshing. But what truly made my visit memorable was the impeccable service, courtesy of Sam, one of the supervisors. Her friendly and attentive demeanor elevated the dining experience to another level, making me feel like a valued guest from start to finish.I can't wait to return and indulge in their mouthwatering dishes and delightful cocktails once again!“
“We had a wonderful event at For U, the food is absolutely delicious, I keep thinking about the cucumber salad it’s so crunchy and tastes so good, the sesame noodles are flavorful and so good, delicate and delicious version of that dish, the best I have ever had. And the Peking duck is divine. It’s a wonderful place for a party, they work with you to make it really special. The atmosphere is very relaxing and the space is warm and beautiful. We had a wonderful time and will go back for dinner very soon.Dietary restrictions: Our event served vegan and vegetarian options as well as standard fare“
“We ate the lobster sandwich, the flavor of it is spectacular, however, I missed a little more sauce and perhaps a slight tempering of the sandwich as a whole, I imagined it to be somewhat more tempered. The price of the product is high, but there is no such thing as a cheap lobster. It is worth making a stop at this place.“
“Wow! Went on a rainy Tuesday early afternoon to the place, and the owner/server was so courteous. I ordered a couple of sandwiches and a pudding bread, and it was amazing. This was so worth the trip. Please pay this little establishment if you're vegan (and even if you're not). You won't be disappointed as the friendly service and quality of food you receive. I'll be back.“
“I love omakase. I love not having to decide what to eat. This place has multiple locations apparently and opened up near the end of last year. It looked good and I'd been wanting to try it for a while. I'm glad I got the chance. It's a small-ish place. You can either sit at the bar or a table. We sat at the bar and these 2 girls next to us were super loud the whole time. I got the green tea sake, which actually taste like straight green tea and I loved it. I don't remember the name of it. The rest of the courses were pretty standard: uni, sea bream, tuna, wagyu beef, and there was a wagyu beef nigiri but I forgot to take a picture of it. The night ended with this adorable looking dessert which was wafer cookie with ice cream in it. Really nice restaurant, very nice service, not too pricey, and their sake list is pretty extensive. I would go back just for that green tea one.“
“This restaurant opened a couple weeks ago, right next to the Baccarat Hotel ground floor! I have tried many Omakase places, but the chef Anthony Inn served dishes I have never tried. Presentation, Balanced flavor, Texture, Aroma, Execution, all there! Taru has everything from Omakase, Cooked Dishes, and Fantastic Dessert Selections. The Pastry Chef Natsume Aoi is perfection! Her deserts are must try! Also, there's a beautiful bar at the front with a great selection of cocktails, wine, sake, and scotch! The staff is attentive, and I loved the real bonsai tree in the center. I would highly recommend it, so definitely try it!“
“Fast , efficient and excellent service. The best ramen in financial district have to hit up this space every time I visit NYC .Vegetarian options: Vegetarian miso ramen with plenty of veggies and tofu.Kid-friendliness: My daughter loves this place and always ask to come here to eat when we are in town.“
“Great addition to the UES. Excellent food, try the prosuitto, fig and melon appetizer if they have it. The carpaccio was so good and the deserts! The wait staff was very attentive and refilled our water glasses often. The owner was lovely and sweet. I will be back with my family soon.“
“Caravan Uyghur Cuisine is a locally owned halal restaurant in the heart of FiDi. They offer authentic Uyghur dishes and appetizers. For dinner we ordered the Big Chicken plate and the spicy beef noodles. The quality of the food makes up for the delayed wait time in service. Expect a wait, but the quality of the food is worth it!Dietary restrictions: Halal options available“
“Great atmosphere, fantastic service, and delicious food at PJ Carney's Pub! The staff is always friendly and attentive, making sure your experience is top-notch. Whether you're looking for a casual drink or a hearty meal, this pub has it all. Highly recommend stopping by for a memorable night out“
“This was my first time here and absolutely loved it. It’s got a nice casual atmosphere, friendly servers, and large portions of great food. I started with the crispy spring rolls which were decent but it was the pho that really did it for me. These are some large bowls so you’re definitely getting value here. But they don’t sacrifice quality - the broth was super flavorful with perfectly cooked noodles and lots of tender meat. I usually get the pho my first time at a Vietnamese place but really want to come back to try their banh xeo which is pretty rare to find in NYC.“
“The gomtang is a VERY basic, clear broth soup. Really does not have much taste on its own. I personally like more flavorful foods and added the house special pepper paste, which I thought really elevated this dish and brought it to another level. I highly recommend eating the gomtang with the paste.I also ordered the kimchi mandu, which were delicious and spicy. Definitely packed more flavor compared to the gomtang.I recommend making a reservation because walk ins could be a long wait. The seating is around the counter, which I enjoyed as you can watch the food being prepared in front of you.Service was great. The chefs and hosts were very nice and explained things on the menu.“
“Michelin recommended, saw my favorite chef post about their fermented tea leaf salad. If only I could have salads like these everyday: it was different with every bite. It had surprises the whole time we ate it. We also got the Burmese pancake and cassava cake — texturally so interesting too. Thank you so much to the staff as well ; you were so kind to us!“
“What an awesome find! I came with my best friend for my bday and everything was so amazing! We had the omakase dinner and got a little full at the end and couldn’t finish the delicious ice cream! Maybe the next time I’ll do 11 pcs and order some appetizers. The chefs are masters and the rice was perfectly mixed with the sauce and vinegar. Definitely will come back.“
“The easiest place to eat vegetarian. It’s so flavorful and everything has been 10/10. I tried their cashew ricotta and pear with honey drizzle, amazing. Their lentil soup; amazing. Their cauliflower stew, so good. Everything is amazing here. If you’re looking for a switch up on your diet, I can’t think of a better place. Feels amazing to eat something tasty but not feel bloated and tired after. So good! New favorite local spot“
“It was worth standing in line for half an hour that stretched around the block!!! The line moves quite quickly, you get a note that you keep and pay according to what is written on it at the end. At the stand, they let you taste the meat so that you can decide beforehand what to take. We took the classic pastrami. It's just a huge sandwich! We shared it, so the price in my opinion was not terrible, but keep in mind that it is almost 30 dollars for a sandwich. In our opinion it was worth it. The pastrami melts in your mouth and the pickles they make are excellent. There is a lot of fat in this so be prepared.“
“A party of 10 no problem. Fast and furious the food came out. They did not skip a beat. All the food was very good. Didn't hurt that the proteins were cooked on charcoal. My favorite may have been the seafood pancake and the side of squash though. The bottle's of soju just added to the whole experience. I have no reservation recommending this place. They are pros, a party of 2-25 they got you.“
“i need you to know that i am sitting here at home eating the bearabo and there’s still half in front of me and i never write reviews on here but it’s so life altering-ly good that i am here saying it’s unreal and ADD THE CAJUN MAYO. thank for the gift of pork roll in new york and your service. (also the marinated tomatoes?!?!?! )“
“The owner is welcoming the wings fried hard pack with favor. He let us sample the house sangria which was delicious. This spot doesn’t miss a beat with the menu options. Rocket fuel is definitely a hidden gem and highly recommended for anyone that what to try new original favors. Last but not least stand of experience is was when I told the owner I was feeling the teriyaki sauce the cook in real time fix the recipe to my personal liking, now I’m forever a customer.“
“To begin with, you will have to check the menus (plural because they hand you like 5) every menu has different options, from appetizers to desserts and alcoholic drinks. The service was very nice, the place looks good and the best part is the food due to its flavor, so delicious. It's somewhat affordable depending on your appetite.“
“For Japanese ramen in Brooklyn this is the spot. Going along, going with friends, this place is a fast casual meal under 1 hr. Recommend getting the standard ramen, if you feeling hungry get the set with extra toppings to ensure you leave feeling full.Pro tip if you want to drink the soup, make the broth lower richness and less spicy.Noodles were cooked to my expectations and the pork was thinly sliced and brought a lot of flavors. No tipping establishment is great, bathroom clean, staff friendly, you prepay before you get seated.“
“Very good restaurant. Convenient access (next to Union Square). The atmosphere is good, the service impeccable and the food very good. Be careful, the portions are very large, possibly to share for "average eaters" like us. Restaurant to recommend.“
“Chola is easily the best Indian restaurant in all of Manhattan and Northern Jersey. My wife and I drive in bi-weekly for their awesome food and ever changing menu. The staff is incredible and friendly, we've gotten to know them all and consider them personal friends at this point. Any time we can, we take friends and family to Chola. It's is the best!“
“Not sure if we were just hungry as our lunch was not till 3pm or everything was really delicious ?. This place was recommended by an ex-NYPD friend who claims it’s the best Chinese restaurant in NYC and a landmark.Had to wait in line for about 10 minutes but it was well worth it. Very tasty Chinese dishes and good portion for the price. Note that it’s a no-frill restaurant with no ambience.Only accepts Cash but there’s an ATM machine in the restaurant.“
“If you are a fan of Seinfeld and streetfood you should visit this place. They were delicious 10/10 so we repeated the next day. We tried 5, the best in my opinion: 1. Chicken chipotle 2. Potatoe Leak 3. Jambalaya 4. Beef chili 5. Minestrone. No soup for you!??“
“Can't believe I've been waiting on this gem for sooooo long. Had it the other day and it was incredible, very authentic, fast and great prices.Cant wait to go and try more. Had the spring rolls and Pho with everything, it was so fresh and flavorful “
“Cuban restaurant in Bergenfield, NJ Cuban family restaurant in New Jersey with ample parking space. My wife and I were greeted and served with great kindness by an efficient and bilingual staff. The restaurant is spacious, and its ambiance is refined. Its décor combines a display of original works by Cuban painters and Oriental vases. The menu, prepared by a Cuban chef, is diverse, with various starters, main courses, and desserts. As main course I ordered lacón, the kind I remembered eating in Cuba, which is not easy to find in New York. My wife had sea bass. Our dishes were all very good. We were very pleased. My wife favorite was a starter called “Discovery”. I particularly enjoyed the flan. Our only recommendation has to do with the music, which was only Salsa while we were there. In our opinion, the addition of other types of Cuban music could enhance the experience. The owners do not have a liquor license yet. Forewarned, we were able to bring our own bottle of wine. We had a great time. Highly recommended.“
“I’m coming here for its handmade tofu but honestly that was the most disappointing dish we ordered. The tofu was very dense and firm, can’t really tell the difference between the three flavors. The other dishes are surprisingly good, especially love the bossam!“
“I've been here 4 times in the past month now. The food slaps. Makes me feel like I'm back in Shanghai. Chef/owner is very welcoming and passionate about his food. The menu is a mix of authentic Shanghainese food and more mainstream NYC Chinese food. I recommend the pan fried dumplings (生煎吧), lions head meatballs (狮子头), and crab tofu (蟹粉豆腐). I love the warm and casual vibes and Baodega has definitely become my new neighborhood spot.“
“Ambiance: hipster hole-in-the-wall. I didn't ask if the servers are related, but it definitely has a family vibe.Portion size: ample. I got the bulgogi japchae. It came out in a small mixing bowl, filled to the brim. Plus, it came with banchan. You will not leave hungry!Service: very friendly. You can tell these are good people.Flavor: solidMy only nit is that the kitchen was slow. My food took a bit more than half an hour to come out.I don't think I'd take the train to come back here, but I would return if I was within walking distance. Great neighborhood spot!“
“This local dive is so good you wish it would stay local! Wildly popular spot that’s been around forever. The Curry Chicken Noodle Soup is to die for. The noodles are the thick yellow kind. The Curry Beef Noodle Soup comes with the thin yellow noodles (but you can always ask for the other). There’s a little wait time on weekends, but the turnaround for tables is good because the service is so fast. The take-out option (pick-up only) here is thriving and also fast and accurate.“
“Intimate warm friendly neighborhood bar/restaurant. Excellent food both times we went. The calamari, shrimp & scallop app was perfect. Bartenders Billy and Kitty also 5 star.Maria, the owner, made us very welcome. Can’t wait to return.“
“Great place for a lobster roll! I ordered the warm buttery roll 6oz., and it was delicious! Nice size chunks of lobster, perfectly cooked and seasoned. The roll wasn’t super dense either and made it a perfect lunch for me. Wasn’t left hungry. Will just give the FYI, bit pricey for a small shop and not really much seating. But would say it was worth it!“
“Pricey but definitely worth it. The lobster roll and the shrimp roll had a generous filling and it was all fresh and made it to order. Didn’t expect it to be as good as it was. The ambience is also beautiful, especially the outdoor seating.“
“Cape Cod has been open for 2 months. The attention to detail reminds me of high level luxury dining. The chef was very attentive and the staff was extremely friendly. This restaurant came as a surprise to us.Please come here. Treat your spouse. Korean or not, this is a fine establishment. Has Michelin vibes. Loved the food“
“I don’t normally love Thai food but the Red eye chili paste chicken is so good and spicy that I know I will be thinking of this dish for some time. Every ingredient is fresh, the chicken was perfectly tender and moist, and the rice omg it’s so good. You can tell it was prepared with immense care. The one man chef/owner also gave me great recommendations from the menu and tips on how to enjoy the food at home. He is SO sweet. The ambience is so lovely and quaint as well!! ?“
“Cafe Clementine left its location on West Broadway and moved to Greenwich and Duane (read "moved much closer to me"). Clementine has been around for over 25 years, but this new location is bright and inviting, and is a much-needed addition as a lunch option in the area. Expect lines at lunchtime--the risk of being to close to Citibank's headquarters. The menu is updated daily on their web site (cafeclementine.com/specials/). They won't steer you the wrong way with their soup, salad and sandwich offerings. I had one of the best lentil soups just last week, and was left wondering -- when will it be back on the rotation as a menu item? For good or bad, you will have to live with not knowing what they have for the day until the morning of. All said, an excellent new edition of an old Tribeca favorite. If you like the surprise element of discovering their specials for the day, there is no better place in the neighborhood to get lunch. Or maybe a very early dinner.“
“I love lobster rolls and this is one my favorite places to get ‘em. It aint cheap at 34 bucks per roll and just one is never enough for me. I love how they post the source of todays seafood at the front counter (see pic). I know that my lobster rolls came from “Portland Pier, Maine” today. The quality of the service and the food is always superior. This restaurant has the vibe of a small lobster shack and sometimes there’s no guarantee of a seat - in that case we’ll just take our food down the block to Union Square. This store is in a prime location with a huge CitiBike docking station right in front.“
“Dropped by today for lunch, got a grilled eggplant wrap. Full of flavor, super juicy and as thick as a baseball. Fresh mozz, arugula, grilled eggplant, sun dried tomatoes, roasted red peppers and a balsamic fig glaze on a whole wheat wrap. This and a can of soda was $14.24. Good stuff!“
“The food was so good! I’ve been to Bangkok and Phuket, plenty of times and this place really captures the authentic art of Thai cuisine. Will definitely be returning to try more of what’s on their menu!Parking: Plenty of spots around the restaurant.“
