“This was the first Tokotsu Ramen I had that incorporated pickled vegetables. This may be the reason why the ramen seemed to have a salty & sour taste in the background. The place had a welcoming feel and the staff was nice. This is a fine place to bring guest for a meal if one finds themselves in the Lower East Side of Manhattan.“
“One of the best Thai restaurants I’ve been to in Manhattan! The spicy lemongrass ramen is one of my favorites but you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Such a fun vibe and amazing decor. One of my regular spots to visit when dining out you won’t be disappointed.“
“Very good ramen, rich, fatty, and delicious. Tried both the spicy ramen and the classic one and both were good. The spicy one has a more sesame flavor, and it is quite spicy so that's not for everyone. I liked the classic one better. The pure meaty flavour was delicious.Great atmosphere in evenings and nights.“
“Yesterday was so amazing and beautiful to have dinner with my wife.Great atmosphere in the restaurant the foods was so good and tasty ? ? ?.Thanks you Armando ( engineer for momofuku) for the good recommendation definitely you make my day in this beautiful place“
“Small place so it does get loud and you may have to wait for a table. But the food is definitely worth the wait! I’ve had ramen in other places and it was good, but I’ve never had noodles with that amazing texture. The portions are also perfect.“
“Ordered the spicy salmon ramen and takoyaki. The ramen was really good with a rich broth but it wasn't spicy at all and started to taste a bit salty at the end. I wouldn't recommend the takoyaki because the portions are very small with a single piece of octopus in it for 10 dollars. Otherwise a great experience! + the servers were super nice“
“Recommended by my friend to try the ramen the first time here. Ordered the rayu beef ramen. The broth was out of the world. I was so impressed by how much depth I could taste in the broth. Service was very friendly and quick. Highly recommend this place if you want quality ramen. My new favorite ramen spot in Brooklyn. I’ll definitely be back.“
“Came here for brunch on a Sunday - reservations are needed as they don’t accept walk in (there are only 12 seats). The service was great, as was the food. The fish was cooked perfectly and the side vegetables/miso soup was delicious. We got both a regular ($30)and a large set ($38). Personally, I don’t think the 2 extra side vegetables were worth the $8 difference. However, all in all, it was a pleasant meal and I would recommend it.“
“Thankgoodness it was a rainy day when we went, because I don't know that seats would have been as easily available if it were a regular busy day! It was a cute little charming atmosphere, with an authentic feel, and the staff was very nice and fast with service. The food was AMAZING and if ever in the area again, I would love to come back!Parking: Parking is very difficult in the streets of NY, we had paid for valet from our hotel and just walked down to the restaurant.“
“You will be seated until all the parties there… otherwise you have to wait outside. But the turnover time was not bad.Service was not very good maybe they were too busy. I mis-ordered the vegan ramen after they told me it could be spicy. But the spicy was just the side spicy sauce?? so I had to order another spicy broth one…Would be the quick, easy catching-up reman bar with friends if you are a reman fan.“
“This is always must eat when I visit NYC. One of my favorite ramen place! Doesn’t matter what favor your order, it is always great! Staff was always super helpful and friendly. But for sure makes reservation, because no matter what time they are always busy!“
“My friend and I decided to check out Misoya around 7:15pm on a Saturday due to the glowing reviews on Google and Yelp. The restaurant is a bit hidden so when you get to the right corner, just go down the stairs, through some doors, and you will find it! I was shocked that we could get seated immediately, and it seemed like we just beat out the rush. The interior is small and simple. We ordered Kome Miso Ramen ($14) and Kome Miso Spicy Vegetarian Ramen ($15). I was very surprised by the price, especially given the location. I am a huge fan of miso ramen, so anything here would probably satisfy me. The highlights of the dish were the chewy noodles and the miso egg! My friend mentioned that the spicy ramen was not as spicy as it could be, so it may not satisfy you if you like a strong kick.Service here was terrific! There were several checkbacks and water refills. The two staff members helping us were so kind and courteous. If you are in the area, warm up with tasty miso ramen at Misoya!“
“If you're looking for an authentic (and I emphasize, authentic) Japanese Izakaya this is the spot. Delicious well portioned bites, cool decor and vibe, very friendly staff. My only wish is that spots like this could stay open late-late night one day again like they did pre covid.“
“One of the highlights of my visit to Roks was their fresh oysters. As a seafood lover, I am always on the lookout for restaurants that serve high-quality seafood, and Roks did not disappoint. The oysters were incredibly fresh, bursting with flavor, and expertly prepared. Each bite was a heavenly delight that left me wanting to order another round.“
“Very good, expensive and Vvery Hot - They have coil heaters, indoors, four feet over your head - its intense. Great Spicy Pork Ramen - it wasn't spicy - but very tasty. The noodles are the good quality kinds, extra thin, dense and wheaty, i would say in my epi-NYC Ramen experience. Over all very good, i would recommend it. Come in summer clothes.“
“You might walk past without realizing it's even there but this Japanese restaurant has a sophisticated drink menu with speakeasy vibes. Appetizers offer unique dishes and flavors that you'll have trouble finding anywhere else. Highly recommend and make sure to get a reservation even on a night you might expect to be slow.“
“Amazing Ramen! Located a few minutes from Madison Square Garden, we choose to try it before seeing Knicks - Lakers. On a cold winter evening, never was a more appropriate choice. Tonkotsu ramen with rich broth and generous portion: an experience absolutely worth trying <3“
“The perfect hole in the wall!Once you find the door to get in, heavenly flavors for a reasonably priced bowl of noodle soup await. Favorites are the pork rib and chicken katzu. Of course it’s still winter and those hit the spot. What will happen in summer is a different question. To be continued. Happily.“
“my favorite ramen in nyc! a lot of places don't even have chicken broth, so this is great for those who don't eat pork. the chicken paitan is so flavorful. they have seasonal spicy miso ramen and spicy miso chicken wings that are also phenomenal!“
“Super friendly staff who were willing to accommodate 4 of us + a baby for a weeknight dinner. Food was amazing and drinks were even better.Kid-friendliness: Baby was allowed to sit in high chair at chefs bar, but I heard the hostess tell another parent that they couldn’t accommodate high chairs at the regular tables (maybe because of walking room reasons?)“
“One of the best ramen I ever had. They serve cold noodles with pork and lemon and in another bowl hot chicken and fish broth. You have to squeeze lemon on the noodles and then dip them in the hot broth.Result is an amazing flavour explosion. Will recommend this place for sure“
“I absolutely love this place!! I normally do not post reviews but felt this was well deserved. The ambiance is cozy and food is always good. The restaurant is very lowkey by Broome street and I spend almost all of my lunch breaks here. I highly recommend the short rib fried rice or crispy rice topped with tuna. The waitresses are very attentive and extremely kind. ?“
“This is hands down the best ramen I’ve had in NYC ! Came here on a Saturday night and we got seated in less than 10 min; I got the Gyukotsu ramen and it was absolute perfection. The beef bone marrow broth & braised short rib beef was so flavorful and well made. I especially liked the chopped wood ear mushrooms (new fav mushroom). We had lovely experience; this place is honestly a 10 / 10 for food, service, and atmosphere.“
“Decent ramen for the price point at lunch, it’ll definitely hit the spot for anyone craving for ramen. Well cooked noodles and the broth (in the style of tonkotsu)was well made with a well developed richness and balance, service was very prompt and food came very quickly.“
“Of all the ramen shops I've tried in NYC, Ishida is the one I keep coming back to. I usually prefer miso ramen but Ishida's shoyu with truffle is truly something special, highly recommended. Tiny shop and can be hard to get a spot, but worth the effort.“
“Some very good, genuine ramen here. I also was a fan of their buns, Kara age, and japanese soda. The spicy tonkotsu was good but not very spicy, so good thing they provide extra spice on the side at tables. The ramen was great but doesn't stand above a couple of my other favorite Manhattan ramen spots: Tonchin and Ivan. However there is a wide variety of ramen offered here that I don't see at many other places which is nice. Also I love the atmosphere here! I'll be back to try their different ramen variations for sure.“
“I’m addicted to eating these instant ramen noodles with the birria meat ?!! It was super delicious, noodles were cooked perfectly, and the meat was very savory, it also had a touch of spice to it, which made it even better ??!I also enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant it was very minimal and cute to eat alone or with friends. I met the owners of the restaurant and they were very kind and helpful when I came my first time ☺️“
“I was not expecting to eat ramen while visiting Times Square, but I am SOOOO glad my wife and daughter dragged me in here. We had the mixed seaweed and power greens salad, then I had ramen soup. The service was excellent. We got happy hour Kirin and Sapporo. The food here gets my absolute highest rating. I Would Eat Until I Die food. If they kept bringing me bowls of their ramen, I would keep eating them until I exploded. My whole family similarly loved the food. We will be back every single time we come to the area.“
“Really great atmosphere except tables are really too close to each other.I had the veg ramen and it was really delicious. The broth flavor was really delicious.I kinda wish there was tofu instead of vegan protein because it was crumbled and just fell into the broth so it wasn’t really filling but tasty. And the cabbage was like the hard ends of the cabbage; I didn’t enjoy. But overall really yummy. And I was going to get the regular matcha shaved ice but it was huge so the waitstaff said they had a few of the little ones from restaurant week left over and those had non-dairy ice cream underneath. It was delicious! I’d go back and get some more of that matcha ice for sure!!Vegetarian options: There is one vegan ramen.“
“Suram is one of my best kept secrets in Hudson Yards, but I'm no longer gatekeeping! Setting: Centered near the Hudson Yards Shops and the Vessel, Suram features a dimly lit ambiance with tones of black, silver, and gold. Service: Kind waitstaff and the food came out at an expected pace for a sushi/ramen spot. Food: I got the sake don (salmon bowl - $29) and the spicy avocado crunch roll ($10). Both were at a great value, especially for the location and the flavor. Can't wait to return!“
“Very good authentic sushi in LIC. We sat at the counter and witnessed everything prepared fresh and to order. No wonder at just 5pm this small restaurant was full with patrons. Service was impeccable and friendly.I only wish their sashimi was sliced a tad bigger. The salmon especially was no bigger than an inch.“
“The ramen was not bad, but I don’t think there was anything particularly special about this ramen place compared to other ones in the city. It was nice because it was pretty empty and easy to get walk-in seating. Would come again for a quick, warm meal.“
“Nestled in NYC's Upper East Side, Me Jin Ramen delivered authentic Japanese flavors. The cozy ambiance and welcoming staff set the stage for a memorable dining experience. I had the Meijin Miso Ramen and ate the whole thing. The broth, simmered to perfection, harmonizes with the chewy, house-made noodles and exquisite toppings like tender beef, bean sprouts, green onions and sweet corn. As a local, I treasure Meijin Ramen for its consistently exceptional quality and comforting atmosphere. For a taste of Japan in the heart of NYC, Meijin Ramen is an absolute must-visit.“
“Not bad but not worth $20 for a bowl of ramen. Wish they’d be more generous with the broth and serve it a bit hotter. By the time I was done half way of the bowl, the broth was a bit colder than lukewarm for my liking. That being said, the staff were welcoming and very friendly. Vibe was chill but felt a bit rushed. They cleared away my hubby’s plate while I was still eating and we were only dined in for about 30min. I don’t think I’d go back tbh.“
“Ordered the mama pho along with spring rolls and a salmon avocado roll.Pho was delicious and hit the spot. Meat used was super tender. Spring roll wasn’t like a traditional spring roll so not something I’d get again, but the salmon avocado roll had generous ratio of fish to rice and was delicious.Would definitely come back again if I’m in the neighborhood.“
“Went there for lunch with four others. Wr call the Donburi but different types. The apps were the usual Edamame (can't mess this up) and some tasty pan fried Gyoza. We all enjoyed our Donburi and finished them but I thought it was kind of bland so really 3.5 on the food.“
“When I came here for the first time I got the Scott egg, burger mandu, and Brussels sprouts, and would have given this a 3 stars for food as I didnt like those dishes much. Went back a second time and got the half chicken and lotus salad — liked these dishes much more! The chicken and rice were both juicy and loved the flavors with the mushrooms and great texture by adding the chestnuts.“
“This place has a relaxing setting and good service. The food is exceptionally amazing. This has become one of my favorite places in the area to go eat now. If you're looking for a low key place for a night out with your partner or a place to take a date this is a good place to go.“
“Very homey vibe, as the place is verrrry small. There are maybe 4 seats at the counter and then a small table. That’s it. You can see the kitchen working. I got the pork ramen, which was definitely a little bland. Presentation was great. The mushrooms were probably the tastiest part. I really admire the effort and cozy ambience though, and I imagine people normally come here for the bento dishes and grab takeout.“
“Tender meat, picture perfect and tastes amazing. We ordered the sesame chicken donburi and Kuu chili ramen. Good portion, attentive service. We ate at the small bar, but some seats/stools have backs, which is great if you've been walking around NYC all day like we have. THEY HAVE HANGERS FOR YOUR PURSE/ BAGS. Hunger is the best spice, but there's nothing else I can add to Kuu! It's wonderful.“
“It’s a great experience. The ambiance and the atmosphere is very welcoming and charming. Amazing food and service. Staff are extremely knowledgeable and make great recommendations and you can tell making the customers happy is their main priority. Food is perfectly cooked and tasty. It’s recommended for their prices it’s 100% worth it.“
“Absolutely fantastic sushi. Amazing quality and out of this world flavor. Staff was so friendly. I showed up exactly at open and they were so happy and accommodating. I usually find showing up at open is a visible nightmare for servers. This is my new favorite spot for sushi. And it’s very quick.“
“Incredible. The miso truffle was divine even though it was all vegetables. The onigiri was a wonderful appetizer, the sake was smooth, and the sparkling cocktails they serve are a delight. Music was up beat but subdued in volume and the vibe of the restaurant was amazingly authentic. Would definitely come back.10/10“
“The best. Nothing comes close in NJ, this is not your frozen concentrate broth that has become so common lately. KC takes pride in his craft and only puts out the best, you can tell by all the press and recognition he's been getting. Guys it's take out or delivery only btw but when you get take out ramen that's better than most dine in ramen, you know the ramen and broth is legit.DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND GET SOME RAMEN FROM HERE!!!!“
“I am very impressed with this restaurant. It’s not big, but it’s very comfortable. The lighting is just right, the music is not loud but more than anything. The sushi is delicious. The rice is perfectly cooked and the rolls are very good. Seaweed salad was great. No fishy smell or liquidy after taste. I also love the presentation. Came in these really cute wooden boats.Parking: Must try! Very good sushi rolls. Nice Waitress too“
“We enjoyed some outstanding ramen after a show at Broadway Comedy. Came in around 8pm and even though it was busy, we didn’t wait for a seat. We had the Deluxe and Spicy Garlic and were both happy with our picks! Fast and friendly service.“
“The best ramen in Park Slope. The broth is super hearty. And the meat is very flavorful and slow cooked. Everything about this ramen is delicious and they’re not sheisty with broth like other ramen places! The atmosphere is very loud and boisterous. It may be difficult for large parties but it’s absolutely perfect for a party of one when you want a real solid bowl of ramen that absolutely hits ?️♂️?“
“This is my favourite restaurant in New York. The service is amazing. I could have this for breakfast, lunch and dinner for my whole life. The owner gave me a free drink.I recommend this place because The food is amazing. Everyone is so nice. It makes my life so good. We had the pork Ramen, amazing , we also had the spicy chicken that was so flavourful and and the salmon poke bowl that so fresh,it tasted like heaven.Review by Rawly (12)“
“Stopped by here while waiting for an event I had to go to - it was freezing out and the staff were so kind. Food came fast and was delicious, the pork was melt in your mouth tender, the noodle had great texture and the miso broth had an excellent flavor depth! It felt very bright and cozy, will definitely be back!“
“The place has mostly takeouts. We did dine in and it was great. They were able to make things vegetarian for us as well. The veggie steamed dumplings were my favorite and the ramen in the cold weather was absolutely amazing. It is definitely saved on my go to again list. Must try!“
