“I want to thank the Kingsbridge Social Club for catering our fundraiser event on March 23rd. The food was sooooo good. The chicken parmigiana was delicious. Every one loved the sausage and peppers. The baked ziti was on point. I especially loved the added touch of the fresh basil. Once again thank you.I have also eaten in the restaurant several times and recommended it highly. I recommend the eggplant parmigiana and the chicken wings. My favorites.“
“I just found out about this restaurant a week ago and I've already been back again. The food is slamming and so are the drinks! I had the Caesar salad with chicken in it any the flavor was freaking AMAZING. It felt like I was eating a MEAL and it was just a salad. Omg! My price range was between 50 and 100 dollars bc I had 3 drinks (non- happy hour) with that salad. I loved everything.“
“Just spent several WONDERFUL hours in one of the most comfortable delicious restaurants I've been to in a long time. Not only was the food FANTASTIC but the staff were attentive, friendly and fun to deal with and Joe capped off the experience by making us feel welcome and like family. My pasta fazole, veal saltinboca were SPECTACULAR, my friends said their seafood appetizer was so good they almost didn't order a main course but when I suggested the chicken saltinboca and her husband had a fish dish that brought him memories of his childhood we knew this was truly a wonderful place that we'll have to go back to. And although this review is long I must admit I took home an order of chicken parm and two desserts (tiramisu and chocolate lava cake) it was a fantastic experience and I can't wait to go back. And the chocolate martinis are TERRIFICDietary restrictions: They adjusted the chicken saltinboca for someone who doesn't eat pork and it was still delicious.“
“This was a great pizza place in the Bronx. We enjoyed the food and the service. The owners were friendly and great to talk to. The pizza was amazing and we will definitely return. And FYI the coke fountain machine is not out of order :-)“
“Just had an egg, cheese and Turkish sausage on a croissant with small coffee, light and sweet. This hidden gem (because it’s in a parking lot of a gas station, is amazing. This sandwich is the best I’ve ever had, and the coffee (he warmed the cream) was perfection. Going to come back for some lunch and dinner - definitely my new favorite spot.“
“Louie and Ernie's Pizza is like visiting your favorite uncle's house, who makes one of your favorite meals! Once you get there, you eat and chat, and you get so cozy that you don't realize you stayed so long? Plain and crispy, I love it! Thanks for keeping that "uncle" feeling!Vegetarian options: Plain pizza is vegetarian, that's an amazing selection!!“
“I work in the area and started coming not long ago & so far the food is really good but it's the awesome service that keeps drawing me back!! The guys are amazing!! All of them!!!Super friendly and Gorg!!! Lol def recommend this spot.“
“Came with 2 friends.Sandwiches and fries are great!Staff service is amazing. Guy gave us sanitizing wipes and extra napkins when he saw that we ran out.How would i describe the food? The fries r like mcdonalds fries but crispier and seasoned well. The no fork sandwich is like a largeeee costco hotdog with a toasted, really soft and light bun. Bread isnt too filling; perfect for a light lunch. The meat/cheese interior was supreme though“
“I adore this place. I have ordered the margarita pizza with broccoli for delivery many times, and it's probably the best pizza I have found in the Bronx. Wood-fired, soft yet grilled crust, fresh mozzarella, really good tomato sauce, and generous with the toppings. Dining in is also a great experience -- it's warm and homey inside, and you feel like you have left the grind of daily life and are settling in for a festive, really good meal. Doesn't feel like an Americanized Italian restaurant but rather a small pocket of Italy in the Bronx. As for the rest of the menu, top notch Caesar salad, really good banana bread pudding, scallop/lentil appetizer is good but best to share because it can be a lot of the same flavor and filling for an appetizer. Must try place in the Bronx!“
“I've tried different pizza slices at this place and they are all exceptional, specially the one with cheddar cheese, bacon, caramelized onion and minced meat. The people who work there are very kind and welcoming and you must visit the place if you're going to little italy in the Bronx. The prices are accesible and the crust of the slices is delicious and well made.“
“A solid pizza stop. I was looking for something inexpensive and on the way from our subway stop to the NY Botanical Garden. I saw Pugsley's pizza on the map and decided to give it a go. It was $11 for two slices of pizza and a diet snapple which worked for what we needed. We ordered, paid, and they brought our food out to us at our table. We got a penne slice and a cheese slice. I wish they had some sort of veggie slice but that's okay. The penne slice was my favorite but that was probably because I had never had anything like it. Pasta on pizza? Revolutionary. Seems like a cool spot especially cause it's close to the college. Kinda eclectic art on the walls and something to look and talk about.“
“This place always has great customer service and they are reliable if you need a warm place to be during the winter months. All staff are pleasant!!Vegetarian options: They also have veggies on their menu for your pizza and will fix it to your liking and preference!!Kid-friendliness: All children enjoy this place because they have slushy machines and finger foods for them to enjoy. The garlic knots are one of them.“
“Grew up in this neighborhood, usually getting my pizza from Sorrento's. Fast forward to today - Sorrento's is now gone, and Luciano's is, hands down, the best pizza in the Morris Park area. I wish I had switched over years ago. Now, Luciano's is my 'go to' for pizza. Friendly delivery, order's always right, pizza's always delicious! Thanks, Luciano's!“
“this place was very good. i got the spaghetti marinara. and it was amazing. i ate everything! big pieces of tomato, garlic, and basil. loved the bread and olive oil for the table. loved the marinated carrots for the table. clean bathrooms. welcoming staff. they had a guy singing different tunes which was cute. the only con is that the service is a bit slow at times. mainly when we wanted the check. we couldn't find out waiter. they have different people to pour water, bring food, take plates away etc. its like we just want to leave now lol. wheres the check? but it was very good and i would come back.“
“I've been coming here for over 20yrs when I visit home. By far the best pizza... these slices are huge. And the Pie is ginormous. Great prices and family-friendly location. This has been a staple in the Bronx Community for close to 27yrs. I'm proud to call this restaurant home.“
“Super happy this place is here! I haven't had a good slice of pizza like this in YEARS so I was definitely excited and happy about how it was. Also the longest pizza slice I've had in a while, and affordable as well. Appreciate the selection of drinks such as water, Jarritos, and soda. I probably wouldn't do a walk in again, because I reside far, but would do delivery if they're on a platform. :)“
“OMG some of the BEST Italian food I have ever had the pleasure of eating. Calamari so light crispy & tender. The Frutta di mare seafood pasta was perfect fresh fish, al dente pasta & the red sauce, soooo delicious. The wife's chicken fettuccine Alfredo was very tasty made with fresh cream & perfectly grilled chicken. Our waiter & the staff were very accommodating, he blessed us with complimentary deserts that tasted like they came from the finest bakery. Will definitely be visiting again & next time with friends/family & a big appetite ? P.S. drinks were tasty too.“
“Honestly the best pizza in the Bronx! I love this pizza shop and have been a repeating customer since forever! This is my hometown pizzeria and nothing ever disappoints. I’m a pizza lover and Vito never fails, EVER! I always feel welcomed and appreciated sorta like family. If you’re ever in the Bronx check them out! I always get the chicken parm slice or chicken and broccoli slice or even the chicken roll! Everything here is amazing the sauce is amazing and trust me I’ve tried so many different places but no one ever comes close enough! Thank you Vito and team! ?“
“A little off on my order but Mark made it right and hey things happen but will still continue to come here….really best Italian in Tremont really is!!! Thanks again, woulda loved the burrata on top of margarita pizza as we always have but this time no burrata but A+ in the plain margarita!“
“Ljubo is a staple of the community. Over thirty years in the business. One of the largest slices sold in the Bronx. I go there at least twice a week for twenty years. Parking is limited. Right behind the Westchester Square station. Gets busy at lunch times and when the local high school lets out. Limited seating. It's definitely a " To go " spot.“
“I love Lonna’s pizza! I’m fairly new to the neighborhood and while I’m not over the moon with the *less than 1 mile* food options in the area, Lonna’s is in my top 10. One of the very few places that still has the authentic food taste, customer service, and atmosphere of an Italian Mom & Pop shop. Also, the owner is a nice guy, not too talkative but the more I frequent the more conversation we start to have. Glad this place is still servicing the Norwood area and I hope it continues to do so!“
“To find the best pizza in New york city , I had to look no further on 26 /3/2024...My birthday I walk into proper pizza ( in the bronx ) had the best pizza I ever had since I was New york (,we call it pizza not pie in Australia ).This family business as great atmosphere of happiness and friendship and honesty that I discovered walking into proper pizza on Arthur's Avenue , there is no regrets when you find the best pizza in Nueva york“
“Was looking for a quick bite to eat in the Bronx and this was the most packed spot on the block. I went there in the middle of the day. Let me just say, this spot is TINY but when I tell you there were 5 people in there ordering at once. That’s when I knew the pizza was gonna be good. Service was great even though it was busy. I got a Slice and it was huge. Nice thin crust. Perfection.“
“The gentleman who took our order originally over the phone was extremely kind. Once we arrived he blessed us with complimentary canollis, which by the way were creamy and delicious. We ordered a few things so we had to wait out front in our vehicle. He was so observant that he realized we were parked out front and once our order was complete this man actually brought us our food to the car. I am handicap so this was a huge help. We will definitely be returning because of his kind attentiveness and not to mention that everything we ordered was divinely delicious. We ordered three pizza slices, a Greek salad, shrimp parmigiano with linguine and a shrimp parmigiano hero. Thank you kindly Sir.“
“Best kept secret in N.Y.Been eating everything here , in all its vast varieties for over 20 years .They make the best shrimp Parmigiano heroes in NYC .. .driving a yellow-cab , I've tried others allover NYC , and that includes Brooklyn , where they have great pizza spots ?“
“I have been coming to Yankee Pizza since 1988 and still 30 something years later this place holds a special place in my heart, memories of my youth in my favorite place to eat my favorite pizza, and I hear one of the original owners still here and so,,, Mike if you are, thank you for your years of service to us all. I'm happy to see you are still with us trough the years and good to know, you still have amazing hands, and a heart of gold! May God bless you always and I wish you many more years of God's grace!. God bless! So some on down and get a taste! “
“I was craving spaghetti late at night & this was the only pizza shop open in the area. Let's just say I did not regret coming here. Very satisfied. The spaghetti was phenomenal! Customer service A1! Atmosphere was welcoming. Not too many businesses care about delivering great food/ customer service nowadays. Will be ordering regularly!“
“From the outside, this place does not look like anything special. It just look like a cheap pizza joint, but believe me, this place is a gem in this neighborhood. The menu is vast and incredible good. I've been going to this place every Friday and my goal is to try every dish on the menu. Besides the food and incredible service, this restaurant let's you bring your own wine, this is a plus. I give this place a 10 out of 10“
“Very great quality yummy pizza the cheese beef patties are delicious too gives you an authentic 90s Bronx pizza flavor. it’s definitely a shame they don’t do delivery through Uber eats it’s pick up in store only. I’d support them more with my business if they start doing deliveries“
“Simple but great pizza, great prices, staff if always friendly and if you're there at the right time you can actually talk to Tommy while he makes a pizza! Who could ask for more? This place is like a time capsule to what the city used to be and that makes it one of the best places I've been in a while.“
“Just ordered our first pie after living close by for awhile. We ordered what they call a "medium," which was huge with 8 slices. I can't wait to see a large!Crispy crust, good sauce and high quality cheese. We'll be coming back.Sorry. I didn't think to take a picture until after my roommate and I demolished half.“
“I'm a local costumer when I tell you this spot is DELICIOUS! Girl on a budget this place don't disappoint. The pepperoni rolls are to die for a the pizza is amazing. The service is fast and responsive. The store is clean and the energy of the store is family.“
“Had a great experience at Tony & Tina’s. Our family tried the spinach, cheese & meat burek. All very good but my favorite was the meat one! Good price for the size. Only place I’ll come that’ll remind me of being back in Albania. Don’t forget to get the yogurt with it.“
“This local gem offer an incredible vegan option! Their vegan cheese pizza blew my mind. Classic NYC pizza taste but with a vegan twist. It's close to my house too. Fantastic service. The servers are friendly both on the phone and in person. My questions were answered and my pizza was ready on time. When I got home, it was still hot and delicious. A pie worth every penny!!!Vegetarian options: They offer pizzas, breads, and salads.Dietary restrictions: They offer a vegan cheese pizza pie.Kid-friendliness: Family friendly atmosphere.“
“Ok I thought I wrote a review for Dino's already but I'm happy to add another! The BEST lasagna in Riverdale, also the chicken Parmesan yum! The regular garden salad has something fancy going on, but I can't quite say what it is. Just realize that I hate eating salad, but this salad I actually sometimes CRAVE. Love the people in here, super friendly, super fast takeout, did I say super? Just go there. And the bread is ....,, super? amazing!“
“Order chicken parm hero, stromboli, extra cheese pizza pie, pep pie & beef patties with cheese! Let me tell ya!!! They not cheap with the food great potions & the stromboli was delicious. It was for a family of 8, & we ate good thx to prego's.:::Side note homeless ppl come in to ask for food or money which is annoying, besides that the place is pretty cool with enough tables to eat at.“
“Pizza restaurant has some of the best pizzas I’ve ever had! The toppings are so fresh and the pizza is cooked to perfection. The atmosphere is very cozy and the staff are all very friendly. I definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves pizza!“
“We queued up around the corner from Thai place for Joe’s Pizza for over an our! What a waste of time - the pizza was tasteless and 6 times the price. However this place was amazing. $8 for a whole pizza and tasted amazing! Highly recommended“
“I absolutely love this place! It has become one of my favorite spots to relax and enjoy myself. Their salmon dish is absolutely superb, with perfectly cooked fish served on a bed of flavorful rice. The sweet-and-sour sauce that accompanies it is simply divine. And to make it even better, their white sauce is the perfect addition. The service here is top-notch, with friendly staff who always go above and beyond to make sure you have a great experience. I usually pick up my order from their convenient location on Third Avenue, and it's great that there's a Starbucks just across the street where I can grab a coffee to complete my meal.“
“This is a Bronx STAPLE and honestly, my favorite pizzeria. Put it this way, this place has been around for over 50 years and 99% of the people that have ever eaten there could not tell you it's name, yet, EVERYONE knows the place itself. i would say it deserves a spot on any all time classic NYC pizza list because of it's quality and longevity.Tourists, go check it out. It gives you a reason to go north of 125th on the 2 or 5 trains and see part of the real NYC.“
“I love this place. I used to go here all the time when I lived in the Bronx. Now it's a reat every chance I get since I moved out of state. Pete and all the people that work there are awesome. They have a variety of pizza and dishes. You could take it to go or sit in the small cozy area whit watching television.“
“The pizza is authentic and DELICIOUS! The atmosphere is very welcoming and the customers cam in happy and left happy. This reminds me of the pizza shop growing up. The community is their family and EVERYONE at Bella's pizza treats the community like family. Thank you for your service and AMAZING food!“
“I'm from Serbia, and despite the fact that Italy is in our neighborhood, we have a lot of great pizzerias and restaurants with Italian pizza masters... even with all that, I like to eat a slice of pizza here the most, both because of the taste and because of the people that make this place so special. Any recommendation. Love“
“Great place. I sometimes get the mushroom slice which is OK. A little bit greasy which I actually like lol. The salads are OK. The chicken is grilled which is OK, but it's a little bit dry. Otherwise the salads are great. The soups are amazing. I recommend this pizzaria, especially if you can eat normally.“
“Been eating Emilio’s Pizza for 20+ years was excited to find he opened this one up. I eat there every time I’m in that area working. His pizza is bar none one of the best pizza’s in the Bronx. No idea what those 1 stars are talking about I have never experienced anything like that in any of his pizzeria’s.“
“Went when they first opened just for the pizza and it was just ok, however just went back and sat in the dining room the other night for dinner and was very happy with everything we had. The food was excellent. The dining room is very nice and comfortable and the service was prompt and friendly. The food portions were great and we enjoyed our family dinner immensely. The generous wine pour was also a huge plus! We would definitely go back again.“
“I was skeptical to order here at first but I had one of the best grilled ham & cheeses in my life haha and it was delivered. I'm impressed. Also, their chicken bacon lettuce on garlic here is really good. Can't comment on service and ambiance, however I will be ordering from here again.“
“Mayor Fiorello LaGuardia spear-headed this market, one of the first in NYC. It is kind of covered Italian bazaar that brings together under one roof all the shopping also found on nearby streets, from sausage makers to bread bakers, cafe's to florists. The variety is truly staggering - all told some nine restaurants, five pastry shops, four butchers, two pasta-makers, six bread stores, three pork stores, five gourmet delicatessens, two fish markets, three gourmet coffee shops and one gourmet Italian wine shop - to list only the food category. And then there are the gift and house ware shops. Shopping here is a year-round event, and always seems to be very busy and great for people watching. The bathrooms were just renovated, the first time in my lifetime. The rest of the food hall has remained the same for the years.“
“I just recently started going there because of my wife and I got hooked on their calzones. The pizza is very good because, to me what makes a pizza is the sauce and, their sauce is very good which means that their pizza is good as well. I definitely recommend them to anyone interested in Italian cuisine.“
“Had to do some Easter shopping so hot this place up . Been wanting to come here. Really cute place when you walk in its like being in a bistro in Italy . Started with clams Orengenata they were so fresh with a creamy lemon sauce . I had Veal Scaloppini with prosciutto and grilled zucchini and fontina cheese. Omg brown sauce was so good. Veal mostly tender. One piece was little chewy. We also ordered the ravioli special. They were stuffed with artichoke and cheese. Really flavorful and cooked perfectly. Prices very reasonable for the quality ingredients. Waitstaff top notch. Parking is annoying Cant wait to come back.“
