“This restaurant used to be located more further down on westchester ave. It was called Monte de oro (gold mountain). I used to go there when I was a kid to a teenager. Then, it closed down. Thank god it relocated more up westchester ave. Under the name of el pabellon de oro (the flag of gold) It still had the same waiters & owner so I knew the food would be the same(delicious). It is a Chinese Spanish fusion. My go to dish is the steak w/ shrimp fried rice & plantano maduros(sweet plantains). Staff is ok. I like that the inside has a fish tank. It also has a lobster tank where you pick your own lobster. They had this in the old restaurant. The environment is just ok. I really came for the delicious food!!!“

My son had crispy shrimp (10) with yellow rice. My daughter had French fries and fruit punch. It was a flawless meal for everyone! Everything was flavorful, the sauce in the pepper steak is the best in the city (flornde mayo standard). This new location was spacious and comfortable, not as tight as at 101 (the og location) even though it's is smaller. The gentleman that makes the drinks and waited on us was wonderful (I forgot his name bc of his drinks ?) he was attentive and made some good drinks. one drink was all I needed to fail a straight line test to the restroom, not drunk but definitely tipsy. I had the chicken fried rice, the spicy crunch salmon roll, the pepper tuna avocado roll, and the shrimp tempura roll. All of the rolls tasted great-- the best one being the pepper tuna for me-- and the preparation and quality really allowed the flavors to shine. However, my favorite item turned out to be the chicken fried rice. The chicken tasted just a bit caramelized for a savory, umami-rich dish that was not at all greasy. As I said, I was amazed!!!Then for the mains, we had, Spicy Chicken and Curry Chicken. Again the spices were quite hot, but not too, at least for me. They were just wonderful, tasty, yet with a subtle delight. It is hard to express. And we both commented how the presentation of the food on the plates was 'picture perfect.'I would suggest you go and write your own experience! My favorite thing ever is the crab rangoons. Me oh my! They are crispy and it has the perfect ratio inside and the filling was not sweet. We ordered the house special fried rice, crab rangoons, chicharones, tostones, fries and chicken wings. The rice is one of my faves. Loaded with all the fixings and every bite of rice is perfect.
