“We had heard about Big Bob's and tried it for dinner last night. We had the short ribs and antipasto and it was superb. Better than any takeout we have had during COVID and in some cases even before. Food came 15 minutes early and still warm - with directions for heating up. Will try the chicken scarpariello next. Just note that you need to order at least 24 hours in advance!!!“

“Really liked the coconut har mak curry, which comes in a coconut that you can scoop the flesh out of afterwards. Really flavorful tom yum kong and tom kha fai. Also recommend the fried fish and mango salad combo which was really refreshing.“

“I work as a merchandiser in the city and I asked a colleague from one of our stores for a pizza recommendation. She told me to check them out and I am so glad I did. It smelled absolutely delicious the minute I walked in and I was thrilled they had meatball pizza by the slice (my favorite ?). Not only was the pizza a hearty sized slice, the meatball is delicious. The gentleman at the counter was warm and knowledgeable and made me feel right at home. I will definitely be back.“

“Hire Frank and the crew at Bassett Caterers today! Bassett does things old school, and it was SO refreshing to be met with real customer service. From day 1, Frank was so friendly and offered utmost flexibility in every aspect. We booked Bassett and then 6+ months later when we called to talk through details, Frank was able to repeat back to me all the specifics we had mentioned on our first call! Bassett offered so much variety for our buffet, and Frank kindly added extra flare to side dishes, making it so much more than we imagined. He and his crew were efficient and set up our tables exactly as we requested, and kept snacks in the bridal suite all night. They even put together an ice cream sundae bar for us! The presentation is no frills but still elegant, just like we hoped. Everything was reasonably priced and everyone had plenty to eat, and all Frank's suggestions were worth it. They are real pros!“

“I have driven past this venue many times and have heard great things about it as well. Until recently, I could only go on other people's word about it. Now I can say from my experience that it's a beautiful and seemingly well decorated and maintained venue, professional staff, and surprisingly tasty food! I attended a gala here recently and everything there was delightful. We were greeted at the door with a smile and directions for where to go. Every staff member there was helpful and respectful. The valet experience was seamless and again great service. Banquet food usually isn't the greatest since it's mass produced to meet large demands. I was pleasantly surprised that the food was quite tasty. I finished all of it I hear this place is pretty pricey and popular to book. Based on the experience I had, I can see why. I would book a special event here. You get the high quality that you pay for. If it's within your budget to book an upscale event you have planned, I recommend you consider booking here. I know this one is added to my list.“

“We just happened to stop by the store to have a quick look. The store was a lot of fresh food. The Italian loaf of bread was fresh and sift. We bought sesame noodles and olive and onion focaccia. We heated up the focaccia, and the bread was amazing. The workers were amazingly fantastic. Very friendly people. Im glad we found this whole in the gem. “Pig Beach is a massive BBQ place in Astoria. It may be the biggest BBQ spot in all of NYC. Not only is the indoor dining area huge, but there is a large outdoor dining area with a projection TV screen too. This is the perfect place to take a large group on a warm day. And the food is decent too. The best deal here is the sampler platter, which can feed three people. For $40, you will get your choice of a large side, ribs, pork shoulder, turkey and beef brisket. The brisket was the best and juiciest meat in my opinion. They also have an amazing happy hour special. If you come Wednesday to Friday from 3pm to 6pm, you can get $1 wings and $5 beers. While I have had even better quality BBQ elsewhere, the food here was flavorful and good quality. This is a good and laid back place overall.“

They take phone orders for delivery in a timely fashion. Avenue U location is pristine clean, cashiers and other workers are very nice and helpful. Freshly made Italian breads and rolls every few hours. They offer catered dishes for large gatherings, corporate & private parties.“

“Gottscheer Hall is a fixture of Ridgewood and has been for decades. It does an excellent job at bridging the gap between the old neighborhood and the infusion of the new crowd in a way in which everyone feels welcome. The food is excellent and reasonably priced and their selection of German beer pretty much guarantees something for everyone. The bartenders are also the best in the area, friendly, personable and great to chat with while sipping on a cold one. I've made many memories and friends in that place from all walks of life. “This place is very nice but very small. There is one bathroom for everyone and the lights there are very dim. It looks larger on the pictures than reality. We enjoyed our avocado rolls and dumplings on the patio. It is a very limited menu for food and drinks. The positive is that it is very cute and they have a train caboose that you can also dine in on the street.“
