“Lady K was so accommodating to my gluten allergy. She sat down with me and told me exactly what she could prepare gluten free and it was all absolutely delicious and Lady K is the sweetest.Dietary restrictions: Lady K is able to make most menu items gluten free.“
“We wanted to have some lunch and also get some tourist time at the FDR home and library. This tiny shop did not disappoint. They don't have a menu like the ones shown in past reviews. But they have great grab and go sandwiches, salads and wraps. The service was good and there were also some hotdogs being roasted.“
“Coppola's in Hyde Park, NY is a great spot for Italian food lovers! Their Sunday buffet is fantastic for families wanting a hearty meal together. The ambiance is cozy and welcoming, and the service very friendly. Plus, they've got some good wine to go with their tasty dishes. Definitely worth checking out for a laid-back dining experience!Kid-friendliness: This place is good for kids, providing many food options. Kids love the aquarium.“
“We went looking for a gluten free lunch and they had a great menu strictly for celiacs. The place smelled like heaven and the food was great. The people were very friendly too. All in all highly recommendDietary restrictions: They had a gluten free and vegan menu.“
“What an amazing place. Selected it as a venue for a gathering of friends as an upstate/downstate geo midpoint. Food was unbelievably amazing (ordered off appetizer menu, late night menu, but the whole menu looked great), hosts Russ & Helga were warm welcoming and friendly, live music from Ethan Levy was perfect, every server and bartender were top notch. We will definitely be back. This is a rare Hudson Valley jewel that I am so glad we found.“
“This place is incredible! We have been there several times and absolutely love the food! The surf and turf is the best I have ever had!! The portions are huge and the atmosphere is perfect and cozy and the service is impeccable! You need to check this place out!“
“We unexpectedly stumbled upon this diner when looking for somewhere to eat on our ride home to Jersey. This diner is worth a stop on your list!It was so cute inside-everything was decorated with cool posters on the walls, even the bathrooms and spunky light fixtures covered the ceiling. There was a "soda shop" area, a "bakery" area, and a bar with some seating. They had a decent amount of booths/bar chairs -only half of which were open when we were there, but seems like that depends on the time you go.I got a lunch special -Mac and cheese & pulled pork grilled cheese, it was amazing. Also ordered were a chicken sandwich, eggs Benedict, and a "down under" burger, all of which came out great. We tried a cream soda and headed back on the road with our black and white cookies (only one pictured because I ate mine too fast) ?Everything is very clean, prices are great, atmosphere is very welcoming, service was goodWe would go back again!“
“River and Post is a small hidden secret nestled in the town of Staatsburg. With a deceptively quiet exterior, and an eclectic vibe, this place has to be on your radar. Drinks are strong. Get the short rib and artichokes. You won’t be disappointed.“
“Monday night Prime Rib was amazing. Im a salt-o-holic i didn't need salt on my prime rib it was perfect when dipped in the sauce. Service well everyone knows everyone in the place a true local pub. But duper friendly staff. Felt like you could just belong here if you wanted to. Lots of cool decor!“
“Had a rack of ribs... Sydney was our waitress... It was all good, actually better than good. Salad. Cheesecake for dessert. Delicious.Service was well-timed, the menu was quite varied and the deserts looked really good so I'm going to have to go back -- now, it's on my "go back to" list. That's my experience; if you go there you can write about your experience.“
“I don’t think there is enough that I can say about this place. It’s a total hidden gem in the Hudson valley. The food is always good, the service is done quickly and with a smile, and the regulars are always entertaining. This place delivers so much more then your normal neighborhood pub. Check it out! And tell Melissa we said hi!“
“Dive bar in Highland, NY. It's worth the visit for sure. Hospitality is great as the owner Sal came around and greeted us. The waitress was on point. We got the wings, and these were your old school wings, meaty and flavorful. Definitely not the pigeon wings you get from some places. So yea, Sals place is absolutely worth the whiskey ?“
“Absolutely loved our dinner! The food was amazing, get the French onion soup you will not regret it. The cocktails are inspired and the ambiance lovely. The staff was friendly and helpful. Definitely come up a hit early so you can walk around the property and the farm.“
“Service was good, workers were great which makes me feel so bad for what I am going to say next but the food was really not okay. It was not fresh and it was not good. The ambiance was amazing and the music and performers were great but the food needs to be upgraded like 5 notches. If you need suggestions get in touch!“
“Googled a good sports bar and this was the number one option. It's a indoor golf/whiskey bar more than a sports bar but drinks are good and cheap. The kitchen messed up my food order but it was still good so I won't knock any points off. The bartender and staff were super friendly and welcoming. I'll come back for sure.“
“This gem will bring you back to fancy restaurants of a bygone era. There’s a working fireplace in the center of the dining room. Very romantic! The staff were on it. Very professional and kind. Hubby had the Parmesan crusted swordfish and said it was deliciously moist. I went with the bone in filet. What generous portions! At a steak house this would have been marked up and not come with all the delicious fresh vegetables. Come hungry and leave happy.Parking: Lots of room“
“Got catering for our office lunch. Dawn was so wonderful to work with placing our order. We got wraps, wings(my personal favorite!!) and sides. The food was delicious!! Everyone enjoyed it so much they are our new go to for future catering needs.“
“Great Food and Service. The bad Loud Country Western Music deflated the experience. We did ask the waitress to turn down the volume and they did, but the annoying joke was where is the Mechanical Bull in this upper quality dining experience?!? The next time we are in town I will call in advance and if the same loud country western music is the ambience, then we will look for other options to spend our money.“
“Adorable hole in the wall with great food. Very tiny space, absolutely slammed for Sunday brunch with just two FOH workers and no backup but they nailed it anyway. Sharp, fast staff. Precisely executed food. Glad we finally were able to make it in (they're closed Mondays when we normally have off work) so if you work a M-F job and can come on weekends, you should!“
“Mark and Tracy along with their complete staff( Mary Beth and Patty) to name a couple. Are all a pleasure to talk to and they're all outstanding. The food and service is 5 star.My wife and I try to come to Listen to music and dance on Saturday nights. This has become our CHEERS !Parking: During the dinner hours when the golfers are gone parking is easy.“
“The food was good. It's not great, but good. Quick meal friendly staff. The place was clean. It was a little busy when we arrived (all you can eat pasta night), and we had 2 toddlers with our party of 5, so seating was a bit hectic but it all worked out and we were sat rather quickly. Would definitely be going back.“
“This might be my favorite place in Poughkeepsie. They have an innovative menu that is clearly the product of someone passionate about food. They were super accommodating to us when we came in, and just for the heck of it I ordered the burger and it's the best burger I've ever had in Poughkeepsie. They grow their own mushrooms and have a lot of beautiful mushroom dishes if that's your thing. They also have a really nice bar selection.“
“The service and food were spectacular! I was really surprised by the quality of food in a sports bar. Enjoyed the Cashew Chicken wrap so much I came back and had it again! The only down side is there were a lot of tv's. In my opinion too many and a little too loud. But it is a sports bar so thats to be expected. Highly recommend the food and drink!“
“We have had an early (4:30pm) dinner this past weekend. We have been there several times before but over 15 years ago. No specific reason for the lapse. just never got back. Our past experience was: Food and service 5 stars, Atmosphere: upscale (dressy), Prices: reasonable for the quality and portions. The steak Au Poivre was the best I have ever had. New experience: The atmosphere, is more casual -(almost "rustic"), The host wearing a flannel shirt, and the waitress wearing a down vest. After other guests arrived, I thought it was a bit noisy but then realized there wasn't a person dining under 80 (guessing hearing problems, LOL), I'm 65 and felt like a kid, LOL. No worries, it didn't affect my food! LOL!. Food and service: The calamari was skimpy but cooked perfectly. The French onion soup was VERY VERY good!! The Steak Au Poivre... is STILL the best I have ever had! The fries, well I like the crisp-crisp-crisp, but did not specify.. They came out perfect to my liking. The bourbon list, only Knob Creek and Bullitt, drinkable but it would have been nice to see some eagle rare, Blantins, etc. The "house" wine was yummy too. No dessert, we were very full. SummaryL We would absolutely go back again and not wait 15 years! 5 stars from us. Note; we liked the casual dress... I dont mind wearing a shirt and tie but we did feel more relaxed in casual attire.“
“Given that our dinner was at a premier culinary school my lamb was very disappointing. I specifically told our server that I wanted it medium rare but he stated that the could only serve it medium which I agreed to. When it came out it was more than well done and dry. Even the server recognized this. I sent it back. We raise lamb and would hope it is prepared in a way that consumers enjoy this an alternative to other meat. The key is a proper preparation. If someone had not had lamb before, they would probably not order it again if this is the dish they were presented.“
